  5. I once saw my aunt's cat lick mayonnaise off of pavement. After witnessing that (and vomiting), I thought about pouring some antifreeze on it…………………...................you know, for flavor.
  6. I doubt their claim that they're absolutely sure that it is supposed to represent a penis. At least from the photo I saw, it's too generic to attribute specifically to a penis. Many things look like a penis, but are not. Some mushrooms, corn on the cob, tree branches that are cut just right, Method77's head, etc.. The truth is, it could have been anything.
  7. He's made three posts. Two don't seem to be spam. This one does a little bit, but not really. I'll let it go, but I will be keeping an eye out.
  8. Spitzer stomps more ass than any other political figure I've ever seen. I never get tired of reading about whose ass is being handed to them by Spitzer. I might vote for him in 2006 when he runs for governor of New York State.
  9. That's what I meant by strategic importance.
  10. Interesting side read here about the CIA......... http://www.connix.com/~harry/secret1.htm
  11. Actually you're on to something. There is a working double standard in place. For instance, I don't see anyone rushing to free the Chinese people from their dictatorship (or any other nation with a non-democratic form of government). Many western countries are allied with nations in the Middle East that sport dictatorships/kings/religious fundamentalists (Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, etc.). Lot’s of nations in Central and South America were/are exploited by the United States. Many peaceful revolutions were put down with the help of the United States government in the past, only to see dictatorships and such take their place as leaders of nations (see the Somoza regime and the support that the U.S. gave to it). It was one destabilization campaign after another in sovereign nations. The CIA are/were truly bastards of a great magnitude. Most problems in Africa were/are ignored, especially by the United States (the Rwandan genocide is a prime example). Nobody comes out and says it, but many western governments’s foreign policy is biased towards strategic importance, and perhaps even race/cultural importance.
  12. I guess it depends on your definition or "terrorism" I don't particularly believe that the actions of the United States military and other nations currently occupying Iraq are considered terrorism by definition (at least my definition). Maybe some of the Geneva violations (such as the secret jails, and the already disclosed bullshit) could be stretched to say "terrorism", but I look at terrorism as more or less a mix of physiological warfare and guerilla warfare, such as car bombing, suicide bombing, kidnapping, murder, shooting of innocent people such as Iraqi volunteer police (there’s no excuse for that). The U.S. is guilty of Geneva violations, and of falsifying justifications for a preemptive war, but not of terrorism. It would be too much of a stretch to agree with your comment.
  13. I suppose if I run to the airport now, I can make Greece by late Tuesday. It'll be a close one.
  14. Wooden foot? Method, are you under the influence? Also, shouldn't you separate personal comments from the news article? Usually I make a separate reply. And finally, do you have a source for this?
  15. Port 80 is not open to receive incoming connections. The port 80 used over the web is for you to initiate connections with open web servers. It's outgoing, it's not the same thing. What you need is the ability to receive incoming connections. You need to forward ports in your router. If you don't know how, I might be able to help you. Provide your router make and model.
  16. MI asked the following question: to which MI replied: If you need any additional help, you can ask me, but I think you're doing a fine job as it is. :P
  17. That must be it MI. It loads fine for me.
  18. Important: LimeWire 4.9.6 Beta was D.O.A. If you happened to download it, please download 4.9.7 now. Changes in this version include: * Magnet link fixes for OSX, thanks to Roger Kapsi - LimeWire should now correctly start a magnet download with a single click * If you hold Ctrl, Shift or Alt while resizing a column it will resize in new ways - give it a try Thanks to Miguel Munoz. * Resuming downloads was accidentally broken in previous betas. This beta fixes it. * Various fixes to the update functionality. * Some changes that should address the problem of LimeWire dropping all connections and refusing to connect without restart * Updated translations Forum Thread BETA Hompage
  19. I have nothing against XP really (as far as Microsoft products go). However, this new version of Windows will take away a person's ability to use their computer as they see fit. Fair use will be thrown out the window (pun intended). All kinds of "anti-piracy" measures will be in place so that you won't be able to do much. I won't be installing this.
  20. Let's get a focus group together and do 8 months of research to find out.
  21. "Good enough" eh? He'll be back to his old self in no time. I'd bet on it if I could.
  22. Good, now they can just have a big ole' lip-synching party. A no talent hack duo! Cue sexually oreinted jokes and puns from LOTD, Excrement_Cranium, and possibly Dude
  23. http://www.dawn.com/2005/07/23/top1.htm I'm now very confused. Did they think he had explosives on him? If this account is accurate, and he was subdued, why did they shoot him? I don't know about you, but if I was going to shoot someone who I thought had bombs in their possession, I wouldn't tackle them first. Something is wrong with that picture, and I hope it isn't lost in the chaos of "protecting the people". I hope everyone keeps their head and will not forgive mistakes.....or possibly worse, murder, on the premise that "Oh, he was just a dirty terrorist. Who cares?" People can't play judge and jury with a defenseless person. I'm hoping they had valid reason, and I hope there is an honest, open investigation into this incident. We must carry the rule of law. People must prove to the terrorist organizations around the world that their civilization will not crack in the face of attacks.
  24. Why would MS bother with 8 months of focus groups and countless hours of research just to choose some dumb ass name like "Vista"? It sounds like a brand name for cheese..........probably swiss cheese. It's not like they need to sell the damn thing. They don't really need a marketing strategy. What a waste of time. They own the OS world when it comes to home/workstation users. They should have just stuck to non-names or numbers.
