Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...

New Jersey punks Titus Andronicus have announced a new album titled An Obelisk and released the first single, "(I Blame) Society." The band filmed the song's music video, directed by Ray Concepcion, in front of that most American obelisk, the Washington Monument. Mac DeMarco – “All Of Our Yesterdays”
Last month, Mac DeMarco announced his fourth studio album, titled Here Comes the Cowboy. The album's excellent lead single, "Nobody," came with a typically surreal music video featuring DeMarco in full monster makeup and a cowboy hat, casually puffing on a cigar. Now, Mac has premiered the album's second single—a slow, lilting jam called "All Of Our Yesterdays"—via Zane…

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott's one-year-old daughter Stormi Webster already has an impressive shoe collection and now we assume that she's on her way to owning an impressive purse collection as well. Kylie uploaded an image of little Stormi holding her bright pink Hermès bag that was retailed for $8k when it was still available for purchase. Now, used versions of the bag are selling for around $15,000 and $17,000.
In another post, Stormi is seen walking down a few steps with help from her dad, to get to the green grass to run free with his expensive accessory. "She won’t let go of that purse," Kylie captioned the video.

Kylie previously explained how the little pink purse was originally a gift from her sister Kourtney. "Kourtney gave me this, which I think is super cute," she said in a YouTube video from last year. "I was really surprised, because I feel like Kourtney never really cares about Christmas gifts, so when she gave me this last year, it was really special."
She added: "This one, I'm definitely going to let Stormi wear, probably, when she says, 'Mommy I want to carry a purse.' So this is probably going to be her first purse."

Nipsey Hussle Murder Suspect, Eric Holder, Has Been Captured: Report
Moments after we reported that the getaway driver in Nipsey Hussle's murder case had admitted to transporting Eric Holder to and from the rapper's store in Los Angeles, it is now being said that Holder has officially been captured. The LAPD has been searching high and low for the primary suspect in the slaying of Nipsey Hussle and finally, it appears as though the man has been caught.
According to CBS Los Angeles, Holder was captured in Bellflower, California. Other than the fact that he's been found, there isn't much information about him at this time. We will continue to update you as information breaks.

In the most recent updates, police have said that Nipsey Hussle was likely killed over a personal dispute. In the security footage that was released from a nearby store, you can see a man in a dark t-shirt walk over to Hussle. The two argue before Hussle hits the ground after presumably being shot for the first time. Holder then returns after walking away, fires more shots and kicks the rapper in the head.
A few moments ago, the woman who drove the getaway car reportedly spoke with TMZ, admitting that she was with Holder when they drove to The Marathon on Crenshaw and Slauson. She said that she would be calling the police to "clear her name."

It could be argued that Jermaine Dupri and Usher were instrumental in each other's success in so many ways. Recorded within the years 2003 and 2004, Usher's Confessions album is to this day considered the singer's major opus, spawning several of his greatest songs, including "Burn," "Confessions Part II," and "My Boo." It goes without saying that Dupri played a centrifugal role in grouping all the elements together, that much is certain.

So, why spark the debate over a 2nd Confessions album? Usher's numerous Instagram followers asked themselves the same question, albeit with less difficulty. The first and only Confessions series was published in the spring of 2004, several months after "Yeah!" hit the press, literally shifting the landscape of contemporary music in the process.

In the above Instagram post, Usher points to a scribble board containing the words "Confessions." Of the right of the photo, the caption reads, "Dis what yall want..." in reference to a second installment.

Couple that with the Instagram video Jermaine Dupri posted three days ago, where he and Usher give us an insider's look at the pair's creative process. Mind you, there's no reason to believe they were working on Confession II when the aforementioned video was posted. Dupri and Usher have done this sort of thing in the past. Would you be interested in a follow-up? Did you like Usher-Zaytoven project from last year, hit us with your thoughts?

Jacquees and Lil Baby’s “Your Peace” Rises Above ’90s R&B Nostalgia
It can be hard to decipher whether Jacquees' appeal is authentic, or a byproduct of the warm nostalgic vibes of the late '90s and early 2000s that his music often hearkens to. If he weren't such a skillful singer, he probably wouldn't get away with it, but his decadent voice and lush harmonies can elevate material that might…

Billboards appearing in Miami over the weekend have suggested that the annual EDC festival in Florida will expand to three days in 2019.
EDC Orlando has been a 2-day festival since it was introduced to Insomniac’s roster back in 2011. It has been held at Tinker Field every year, with tens of thousands of attendees coming through each year. 2019 would mark the first year that the festival adopts a 3-day schedule, which would accommodate for more attendees over the weekend, as well as more acts on the lineup.
According to the billboard, EDC Orlando will go down November 8, 9, and 10 this year.
Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella confirmed the news.

Excision is back! After a year off, the producer will make his epic return to Shambhala Music Festival with an earth-shattering bass performance at The Village stage.
Until last year, Excision was one of those mainstay names that fans had come to expect on Shambhala’s exclusively electronic/dance lineup. He was noticeably absent in 2018, which gives this 2019 headliner announce an extra boost of excitement.
“Shambhala is where it all started for me, stoked to be back!” Excision says in a press release.
This will be Excision’s 11th time playing the festival. He joins previously announced headliners: TroyBoi, Chase & Status, ZHU and GRiZ. So far, Shambhala is shaping up to be as solid as ever.
Shambhala Music Festival will methodically roll out the rest of its lineup in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, throw your X up for this headliner!

Drake & A$AP Rocky's Worlds Collide In "Splashiest" Photo
Drake is in the middle of his joint tour overseas with Tory Lanez but that isn't stopping him from catching up with some old friends. The duo of Canadians has had some bad luck in Amsterdam, having to reschedule a couple of shows until later in the year. They're still creating memories on every stop that they end up performing at, though. When Drizzy isn't on the phone with his son Adonis or on stage for the Assassination Vacation tour, he's either in the studio or chilling with his crew. The 6ix God made sure to let people know that he and A$AP Rocky ran into each other, posting a set of photos from this week.

In the first slide, Rocky stands next to Drake in his pink babushka. It's clear that he's still trying to popularize the style, rocking with the look for a few months now. A couple of other shots were added to the recap with shout-outs to Drake's whiskey brand and the Lejonhjerta twins.
Drake recently spoke as part of Mustafa The Poet's new short film, giving personal details about gun violence in his hometown of Toronto. He recently debuted a new tattoo on his forearm, inking a portrait of his firstborn son so he can see Adonis everywhere he goes.

Cardi B Appears To Deny Claims She Dissed Megan Thee Stallion
A screenshot of Cardi B's Instagram Story surfaced earlier this week which read, “Ain’t no hoe taking my spot. Stop BAPPIN." Many thought this was a dig at Megan Thee Stallion but Cardi took to social media to clear up the rumors.
Cardi B made it clear that she doesn't have any feud with Megan Thee Stallion. She took to Twitter to clarify the Instagram Story, claiming that she hasn't even really been online in the first place.
"I barely been getting online. I haven’t been talking to nobody just straight promoting! Stop putting me in bullshit let me keep minding my business in peace. Thank you," she wrote.
Megan Thee Stallion also appeared to address the rumors shortly after Cardi.
"If you’re a real hottie, please spread positivity. we real around here and we fw everybody that fw us. No dry hating no dry beef," she wrote on Twitter.
Megan Thee Stallion recently addressed the competition among female rappers. She explained the competitive nature is part of hip-hop but at some point, it won't necessarily be like that forever.
“I feel like since, like, forever, it has only been, like, one female rapper at a time. And naturally, women are competitive. So I feel like, without beef, hip-hop probably wouldn’t even be what it is, so it’s good to have, like, a little friendly competition here and there,” Megan said told Essence. “ Just because we might be rapping about some of the same things, we’re not doing it in the same way. There’s enough room for all of us to eat. So as soon as we can get that together, then we’ll be all right.”
