  2. Despite the madness that's been going on across the world in 2020 so far, we've received several solid projects from artists who've had fans eagerly awaiting new music. Next week, The Weeknd will release his forthcoming album, After Hours, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2016's Starboy. Sure, he's released music since but My Dear Melancholy was more of a taste of what's to come. Following the first three singles, "Heartless," "After Hours," and "Blinding Lights," the rapper is keeping fans at the edge of their seats for the entirety of his next project to drop. To celebrate, he announced that his Beats1 show, Memento Mori, would be airing on Thursday, March 19th at 9 p.m. for the After Hours edition. Along with the XO clique, fans can join along in listening to the project in its entirety for the first time. The rapper's new project is set to include fourteen tracks, although he's yet to share an official tracklist. He did, however, debut a new song on Saturday Night Live recently, "Scared to Live" which has now been confirmed as a song on the project. The Weeknd is also scheduled to hit the road this summer for the "After Hours" tour which kicks off in June. Given the recent string of tour and festival cancellations, hopefully, The Weeknd's dates aren't affected. View the full article
  3. Young love can be the inspiration for many things, so it makes a lot of sense that couple Willow Smith and Tyler Cole would take their blooming relationship all the way to the Billboard charts by debuting as an indie rock duo called The Anxiety. Cindy Ord/Getty Images for Stuart Weitzman The group's self-titled album is 10 songs deep, lasts just short of 30 minutes and ultimately sounds like the soundtrack to any teen drama of the '90s and early 2000s. The heart-wrenching angsts and screamo-inspired feels all mesh together into a project that does its best to reflect the personalities of both individuals involved. If it sounds like one big art project, that might be intentional; the album was promoted with a live exhibit in LA at The Geffen Contemporary Art at MOCA on Wednesday (March 11) that saw Willow and Tyler enclosed in a glass box for 24 hours as they expressed a handful of emotions that included fear, paranoia, compassion and, you guessed it, anxiety. Listen to The Anxiety, the debut album by Willow Smith & Tyler Cole's rock group of the same name, below: Tracklist: 1. Hey You! 2. Fight Club 3. Believe That 4. Poolside 5. Interlude 6. Entertain 7. Are You Afraid? 8. Meet Me At Our Spot 9. The System 10. After You Cry View the full article
  4. Lil Berete has been one of the most notable young artists emerging out of Toronto in the past few years. With melodies soaked in auto-tune, he's proven that versatility is his key. A month after releasing his last single with anders, "Ride Or Die," he returned with another record titled, "Doing Time." On his latest single, he further hones into his vocal ability as he speaks on incarceration, paranoia, and anxiety from the streets and how that effected his ability to be intimate. With the new single, it looks quite promising that we'll be getting a new project from Lil Berete this year. In an interview with Berete in July 2019, the rapper explained that his upcoming project will find him doing a little bit more of everything. "You guys are gonna know me more once I drop my album. There’s rapping, rockstar type music, there’s R&B, grime rap, different types of styles," he told HNHH. Keep your eyes peeled for that. 5. Machine Gun Kelly still has the blood of a GOAT on his hands, apparently. The rapper's feud with Eminem has not gone to rest, even after Em called a truce on Music To Be Murdered By. Although Machine Gun Kelly claims Eminem has been both rich and mad for the duration of the last twenty years, he, too, doesn't seem willing to make peace with the Detroit legend. Fresh off of the release of his new single, "Bullets With Names" ft. Young Thug, RJMrLa, and Lil Duke, Machine Gun Kelly made it clear that he still isn't on good terms with Em. Or if he is, he's atleast still proud of the damage done on "Rap Devil." "Killed me a GOAT so my jacket got stains on it Wipin’ my nose like I got some cocaine on it Pulled out his coffin and ate me a plate on it Called up his bitch, showed my dick, let ’em lay on it.” Chances are we won't hear Eminem mention it anytime soon but we'll see if MGK has any more shots to take at "Killshot" rapper. The single, with production from Ronny J, is set to appear on Machine Gun Kelly's next project, Tickets To My Downfall. Supposedly, the album will have a more pop-punk vibe to it. 8. Octavian has been putting in work over the past few years, bending genres with influences from drill, electronic music, grime, hip-hop and more into his own unique fusion of worlds. 9. The production for Atlanta has been put on hold, according to Deadline. The coronavirus pandemic has forced production on the sets of Atlanta, Fargo, Snowfall and Y: The Last Man to be suspended after Donald Trump declared it a national emergency. Federal and local governments are trying to get control of the virus so for the next two weeks, all filming for those shows has been suspended. FX's Atlanta only recently announced that it would be returning for a third and fourth season. The Donald Glover-created series debuted its second season in 2018 and fans have waited for its arrival. Despite rumors that it would be arriving this year, FX Chairman John Landgraf said that it would be airing in 2021 with 10 episodes instead of eight. On top of that, they would be filming season four simultaneously and would launch it less than a year after season 3. Hopefully, the halt on production won't delay the release date for either season. Along with television programs having to stop production, films have also had to push back release dates. Quiet Place II, for example, won't be released as planned. John Kraskinki announced that it would be postponed to a yet to be announced date. Stay safe out there, everyone. View the full article
  10. Fivio Foreign is one of the trailblazing new rappers out of Brooklyn that you definitely need to know right now. Fresh off releasing the remix to his breakout single "Big Drip" featuring Lil Baby and Quavo, Fivio decided to take a quick visit to HOT 97 to give Paul Rosenberg the rundown on new music arriving soon, how he found out about the death of fellow drill emcee Pop Smoke and a clarification behind his business dealings with Mase. Johnny Nunez/WireImage After explaining his disbelief when people first started blowing up his phone the day Pop Smoke died, Fivio put the loss into perspective by saying it was the first death he's truly felt since his mom passed away in his arms from a stroke a few years ago. Fivio then went on to explain that the situation with Mase started after he dropped "Blixky Inna Box" with Jay Dee and Dee Savv, saying, "[Mase] was hip to the sound, to the Brooklyn drill sound." After Mase showed interest in signing all three guys, Fivio then confirmed that it was strictly a "production deal" on his end, further adding, "He don't own none of my publishing." This of course contradicts heavily with 50 Cent's claim last month that alluded to Fivio being stuck in an unfair publishing deal with Mase. Mase later denied that story himself, and it looks like Fivio just gave us a better understanding of the situation overall. Watch Fivio Foreign's full interview with Paul Rosenberg for HOT 97 below, which breaks down a few more things regarding his business with Mase and the new seven-figure publishing deal he just signed with Sony/ATV: View the full article
  11. Kevin McCall went after his ex, Eva Marcille, on social media, claiming that she only has children so for financial gain through child support checks. The artist posted a screenshot of an article on his Instagram story that bore the title, "Child support is 18 years of easy money: Women reveal the REAL reasons why they’ve lied about being on the Pill – and many DON’T regret what they’ve done." In the caption, he wrote, "Some women have children for a check….some of them out here working on baby number 3 and still talking about their Ex….having babies isn’t a career.” Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images He didn't stop there, but instead posted another story sharing his own words in regards to the topic. “Stop using child support to help you maintain being a BABY Momma terrorist," he ranted. "Its an easy check for 18 years I get it…but you on baby number 4 and complaining about your 1 st child .. are you hiding some strong feelings? If not focus on your two new babies and leave your old BABY DADDY ALONE HAHAA.” Of course, it's fairly evident that Kevin's sentiments are directed towards his baby mother, Eva Marcille, with whom he shares a daughter by the name of Marley Rae. The two of them were involved in a custody battle over Marley last year, which began when Kevin attempted to gain full custody of their daughter. Eva fired back, accusing him of being dangerous and never paying child support, and demanded that the case be dismissed. The custody arrangement remained in tact, and Eva even went on to legally change Marley's last name from McCall to Sterling, the last name belonging to her current husband, Michael. Eva and Michael tied the knot back in 2018, and they recently welcomed their second child together. Kevin recently expressed interest in going to therapy with Eva, believing that it might solve their problems. View the full article

  21. It's hard to think that we live in a time when it's becoming difficult for people to shop for toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, and soap, but here we are. The coronavirus pandemic has caused a wave of worldwide panic and people are storming markets by the tens of thousands to stock up on household items. It's unclear exactly why this is happening, but mass hysteria often breeds strange results. Chris McKay / Stringer / Getty Images However, the COVID-19 pandemic is serious, as it's recently been announced that television shows will record without audiences, the NBA has suspended its season, and travel from Europe to the United States has been halted. Companies with cleaning products are seeing their profits skyrocket, and Soulja Boy is getting his piece of the pie. During his recent visit to The Breakfast Club, Soulja Boy announced that he was in the soap business. Some people poke fun at the rapper's latest business endeavor, but TMZ reports that just within the last few months, Soulja Boy's The Soap Shop has tripled their profits. He reportedly launched the South Haven, Mississippi location with his manager, CEO Miami Mike. The franchise "has gone from selling 100 bottles of cleaning products per month to well over 3,000-plus cleaning products in the last 2 months. That's about a 30 percent increase, and we're told it's record-setting production." The Soap Shop is said to be a company that helps the community, as well. They have partnered with the Bubbles for Cash charity so when the youth go out and sell The Soap Shop products, the majority of the money is funneled back into the community for programs that reportedly help younger generations. 22. Former NFL star Michael Strahan is engulfed in a bitter custody battle with one of his ex-wives. Twenty years ago, Michael and Jean Muggli fell in love and married. They'd later welcome their twin daughters Isabella and Sophia into the world, but by 2004, the same year the twins were born, the marriage had turned sour. Their divorce was far from amicable, and they've floated in and out of courtrooms since that time. Jean walked away with $15 million plus $18K per month in child support. Jon Kopaloff / Stringer / Getty Images The custody battle between the ex-couple has once again made headlines as biting accusations have been made about Jean. According to a report by TMZ, Michael claims that Jean has been both emotionally and physically abusive to their 15-year-old twins. The Strahan, Sara and Keke talk show host wants a judge to award him primary custody of his teenage daughters and reportedly has proof that Jean is an unfit parent. TMZ states that Michael alleges "Jean's not taking their kids to court-ordered therapy sessions and says she's the reason Sophia and Isabella keep missing their volleyball matches and equestrian events." He's ready for the girls to pack up and make the move to New York where he lives. They currently reside in North Carolina. In addition to obtaining custody, Michael Strahan is also asking for Jean to be held in criminal and civil contempt. View the full article
  23. We recognize that the coronavirus is serious, but in order to maintain a certain level of sanity, people are having fun making memes about the virus. Over the last few months, Future has been the star of the "Toxic Ex-Boyfriend" memes that went viral. They became popular around the holiday season as a way for people to poke fun at those pesky exes who use the cheerful time of the year as a way to weasel back into their former lover's lives. Now, it's the coronavirus that has people checking in, and Joe Budden has cast himself as the new star of the funny "Toxic Ex" meme. Budden shared a photo of himself in his pool while checking his phone. In the caption he wrote, "Just checking to make sure you good, it’s getting crazy out there... the NBA suspended all its games, the same way i should have when i was with you.. be safe, i love you." His followers got a kick out of the caption, and model "SuperStar6ix" laughed and called it "super toxic." He replied, "@superstar6ix ORRRRR accountable ." She hit him back with, "@joebudden this is literally emotionally provoking bait pretty much toxic ." Check out Joe Budden as the new coronavirus "Toxic Ex-Boyfriend" below. Apparently a few people have stolen the caption and actually texted it to their exes. View the full article
  24. Fetty Wap is under fire from Lezhae Zeona, the mother of two of his children. By now, the public is aware that Fetty Wap reportedly has six baby mamas and possibly seven kids. The rapper and Lezhae welcomed their daughter in 2015 and then reconciled and gave birth to a son in 2018. In a recent interview with Supa Cindy for 99 Jamz radio station, Lezhae spoke about her relationship with her ex as if they were on good terms and he was willing to help her out with her rap career. However, it seems as if things have taken a turn. On Wednesday (March 11), Lezhae took to social media to air out her grievances with her "clown" baby daddy. "Don't have children with f*ckin failures," she wrote on her Instagram Story. "Bitcchhh .. I almost told y'all something whew let me get off this damn app." It's unknown what exactly she was going to say, but she went on to pen a lengthy message about Fetty and his pitfalls, anyway. "Ya wanna know something ? God genuinely makes no mistakes," she continued. "Call me whatever you wanna call me for going back and having a second child with this clown but guess what? I needed my son ! I swear, I was never forced into strength the way I was while I was pregnant with him! Before my pregnancy with my son, I was maddddllyyyy in love with my BD. He would do any and everything to me, disrespect tf outta me in public and in private and I never got enough." Lezhae said no matter what, she always allowed Fetty Wap to come back into her life without question. "But when I got pregnant with my son, this n*gga violated the f*ck outta me and it was undeniable that I couldn't f*ckin do it with him anymore ! It was undeniable that I had to let tf go and move forward ! I needed exactly that and that was Gods form of delivery and I accept completely." She added that she didn't think there would be a day where she could live without Fetty, but it was her son that made it possible. In another Instagram Story slide, Lezhae Zeona also stated that every woman has been played at one point in their lives so if someone wants to judge her, they need to look at their mothers, aunts, and sisters as well. Check out a few of her posts below. View the full article
  25. Keke Wyatt has allegedly been keeping her kids from seeing her ex-husband, Michael Ford, for 18 months, according to Michael himself. On Tuesday, the R&B singer's ex shared a photo of their daughter, Ke’Yoshi Bella, on Instagram to wish her a happy fifth birthday. On the post, he exposed some pretty serious custody violations on Keke's part, alleging that she has been in contempt of a court order by keeping all their kids away from him for the past year-and-a-half. "Today is bittersweet for me as it’s your 5th Birthday Ke’Yoshi Bella," Michael wrote on the adorable photo of his little girl when she was a baby. "It’s been 18 months since I last seen your beautiful energetic lil face in person and as bad as I wanna see you, hug you, kiss you, shower you with love, affection, and gifts i can’t because Unfortunately you’re being illegally withheld from me (along with my other babies) by someone who is in contempt of a legal court order." Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for WE tv While the alleged situation is obviously very upsetting for him, he mentions that he has scheduled a court date to confront Keke about her actions. "God has allowed my strength, temperament, and patience to be tried and tested," he continued. "However I know He is on the side of right and truth so the battle has already been won! I’ll see that person in court soon as a court date has already been set so hold on Bella daddy’s coming to get you baby and we’re definitely getting sugar wasted for your belated birthday party! With love Daddy." Beyond revealing the alleged truth about Keke, he also cleared the air about some rumours about himself. Back in 2017, Keke accused Michael of abandoning her while she was 8-months pregnant with their child and their other child battled cancer. Someone in the comments of Michael's recent post asked him to answer to these claims. Paras Griffin/Getty Images for ASCAP “Ummmm didn’t you leave your family tho while she was pregnant & dealing with the emotions of your child having cancer," @breybee wrote. "It was above you when decide to leave right?" Michael replied to the comment, flat-out denying these rumours. "Umm no I didn’t and if you digested and believed any of those fabricated stories please check your level of discernment," he wrote. "God Bless." Keke ultimately got remarried to her current husband, Zachariah Darring, in 2018, and the two went on to have their first child together. Their son, Ke’Riah Darring, was born on January 6th earlier this year. Ke'Riah became Keke's tenth child, though it is unclear how many were fathered by Michael and are, thus, being allegedly kept from him. View the full article
