  13. You may love him for the antics, but Boosie Badazz didn't become the fan-favorite he is today through comedy alone. Over the course of his career, the Baton Rouge rapper has built up a prolific catalog of material ranging from studio albums to mixtapes. He's seen success and done prison time, seen friendships dissolve and reality TV deals arise, never wavering from his unapologetic principles -- whether you like it or not. Bryan Bedder/Getty Images Like many of us, the larger than life artist has found himself practicing the subtle art of self-isolation, doing his part to fight the spread of the highly disruptive and deadly coronavirus. In between prowling Instagram Live for breast sightings and running a firesale on verses, Boosie has decided to bring things full circle, back to where it all began: the studio. In what might very well be the least enthusiastic album announcement of all time, the Badazz confirmed that he'll be delivering back to back albums on March 30th and April 13th, both Mondays. "Shit, the corona got shit fucked up," he muses. "So starting next Monday, every other Monday I'm dropping an album. Fuck It. Let's get it." As of now, Boosie has yet to reveal a title for either project -- will you be checking them out when they arrive? View the full article
  14. It's important for us all to be listening to what the government tells us about COVID-19. Our actions can directly affect how long we stay in quarantine for, and not many of us are enjoying this self-isolation, so let's actually make an effort. Bebe Rexha is telling all of her fans how important it is to stay inside and practice social distancing right now, but she's not just doing so with a boring-ass text post on her Instagram story. Oh no. She's doing it by stripping down to her birthday suit and covering up with the reasons why she's staying home. Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images "Yes I was naked. Now that I have your attention please keep your booty at home," wrote the pop star on a photo of herself fully nude, holding up a piece of paper explaining why she's self-quarantining. "#IStayHome for my grandma, my friends, my family, my fans," wrote the singer. She was nominated to participate in the challenge by Demi Lovato and Anne Marie, but they didn't say anything about taking her clothes off. She knows what gets people talking though, and she decided to test out her theory. Bebe Rexha has nominated Tinashe, as well as a few others, to reveal the reasons why they're taking this pandemic seriously. Stay safe, everybody. Wash your hands and, for the love of God, stay home. 15. Although Quavo recently posed in devastatingly empty grocery store ails, it's safe to say he has enough food at his home in Atlanta. The amount of panic-buying that is happening around the world right now is insane, but celebrities are a different breed, and one could imagine that most celebrity homes are continuously stocked up on whatever groceries they f*cking want, with an infinite supply of them too -- or so it would seem whenever you get a glimpse of a celeb's pantry on Instagram. Nonetheless, celebrities-- 'they're just like us'-- they, too, are sitting at home in self-isolation as we attempt to quell the constant rise of Coronavirus cases. Many have taken to social platforms like Instagram and TikTok to connect with fans virtually even more than usual, whether it be way of Live concerts or starting yet another hashtag-challenge. Some are using the time to go into album mode, while others, like Quavo, are using the time to brush up on their culinary skills. Amy Sussman/Getty Images In his Instagram Stories last night, Quavo shows off a legitimate feast, all homemade by Huncho. There are corn muffins, there's macaroni and cheese ("real mac & cheese," he says), meanwhile green beans are boiling and fish is frying. He says, "if you think I didn't do it, call my mama." What do you think? Where's Saweetie at? Are you guys cooking up in quarantine? Let us know what's been on the Quarantine menu in the comments. Clearly, I'm hungry. View the full article
  16. Despite the faint cries of "BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM" still echoing in the faintest corners of your mind, it's been a relatively quiet 2020 for the Griselda movement. Some might call that the calm before the storm, as Conway The Machine has officially returned to set it off with a new EP called Lulu A joint collaboration with The Alchemist, Lulu features a reasonable serving of seven tracks, complete with features from ScHoolboy Q and Cormega. Check out the tracklist for yourself below. Zachary Mazur/FilmMagic/Getty Images 1. Intro 2. 14 KI's 3. The Contract 4. Shoot Sideways ft. ScHoolboy Q 5. Calvin 6. They Got Sonny ft. Cormega 7. Gold BBS's Though brief, Lulu will be produced in its entirety by Alchemist, who has already proven himself to be an invaluable ally to The Machine. Who better to conjure up hard-hitting and cinematic lo-fi backdrops for Conway's gritty lyricism -- outside of Daringer, of course, the Griselda movement's de-facto producer. Still, it's about time that Alchemist starts getting the love he deserves, as one of the game's most consistent producers of, well, perhaps ever. Lulu also happens to be a collaboration with Patta, who have come through with a badass limited-edition capsule. As pictured below via Conway's Instagram, the capsule will include a copy of the vinyl, a jacket, and a SnapBack; should you be interested in purchasing, you can check back on March 30th when Lulu arrives in its entirety. 17. Summer is coming close but it's still up in the air whether we'll be able to enjoy it this year. Popcaan, though, has given us vibes throughout the past few months to add to our playlists as we await sunny weather and beaches. This week, he unleashed the visuals for his new single, "Sex On The River." More loverboy than rudeboy, Popcaan's lust directs him through the sexual record as he taps into his lover's wildest bedroom fantasies. "Have mi ah wonder if ah yuh fi get di wedding band/ Wan' see di freaky side weh yuh tell mi 'bout," he sings on the first verse. Popcaan is a few months removed from his OVO debut, Vanquish but he hasn't stopped releasing records since. "Sex On The River" is among several new records that he's blessed his fans with in the past few months. Quotable Lyrics Bend it over like Sherone Simone Wan' mi pull up when she home alone Mi nah fi tell har lock off di phone She lick mi like ah cream when she side di cone View the full article
  18. David Cruz, the ex-boyfriend of Jennifer Lopez, has passed away at the age of fifty-one. After suffering from heart disease, David Cruz reportedly passed away at a Manhattan hospital this weekend. No information was made available regarding his death. According to TMZ, David's partner Isa issued the following statement: "He was kind and loving. He never held on to anything and was always very open. He was a devoted father, he helped raise his step-son who is now in the Marines. He loved the Yankees and Knicks. He loved going to the theatre with me. My favorite moment was family date night, because it wasn't just special for me but for the kids as well. He always made sure to end things with an 'I love you.'" Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images These days, Jennifer Lopez is spending her time with baseball legend Alex Rodriguez, but earlier in her life, she believed she had found her one true love in David Cruz. The two were together for over a decade, spending their high school years as a couple and beginning her entertainment career as a romantic unit. The two broke up in the mid-90s when Lopez started to blow up. Rest in peace to David Cruz. We're sending our thoughts and prayers to his family at this time. [via] View the full article
  19. Scientists and doctors across the world are fighting to find a cure for Coronavirus. Though there have been plenty of promising developments in a vaccine to fight the novel virus, one Florida politician has been forced to apologize after claiming that the cure for Coronavirus is in the power of a household blow dryer. "One the things pointed out by one of the foremost doctors that has studied the Coronavirus says that the nasal passages and the nasal membranes are the coolest part of the body. That's why the virus tends to go there" he explained, citing his background as a paramedic as his merit for medical and health expertise. "The answer was you use a blow dryer. You hold a blow dryer up to your face and you inhale with your nose and it kills all the viruses in your nose." He has since apologized for his comments and pledged that he wouldn't make any more comments or suggestions surrounding his debunked claims. To All.my Facebook Friends, I am Heartfully Sorry for comments I made on Social Media. I was only trying to give comfort to those in Okeechobee who have no insurance to treat there families I should have ignored the comments that I perceived as hateful and the embarrassment I caused to my Fellow Commissioners and our Administrator And her staff I will not offer anymore suggestions unless they are tried and proven I ask for All of your forgiveness for anything offensive that I uttered during these exchanges. God Bless and soften your hearts. Take a look at his post below View the full article
  20. What a time to be alive for Earl Sweatshirt, the self-professed introvert and brilliant author of the brooding I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside. Released five years ago to this day, the former Odd Future lyricist's sophomore project served up a darker side of his consciousness, lined with murky soundscapes befitting of his deliberately lethargic flow. For many, I Don't Like Shit was a difficult hurdle to climb. Not only did it put Earl's bleak and cynical worldview on full display, but it did so over niche and discomforting production. And yet as a work of art, it's impossible to deny the project's merit. Never has a project been less concerned with the public's response, perhaps ever. And yet for those willing to spend some dark basking in Earl's gloom, there are plenty of stellar bars to unpack. None more present than on "AM//Radio," a collaboration with New York rapper Wiki, who sets the tone with the opening verse. The man of the hour whether he likes it or not, it's Earl who ultimately takes the crown, unleashing an extensive salvo lined with clever wordplay and understated flexes. "I got the gold cause I don't do the crying bro, she Mario, I'm tryna keep the whining to a minimum," he raps. "Piggies come, bet I'm splittin' quicker than I finish rum." Five years removed from its initial release, how do you feel about Earl's sophomore album? QUOTABLE LYRICS Bitch, if yo n***a had Supreme, we was the reason he copped it And nowadays I'm on the hunt for mirrors to box with And some pretty bitches that ain't trip if it's a hit and run I got the gold cause I don't do the crying, bro She Mario, I'm tryna keep the whining to a minimum Piggies come, bet I'm splittin' quicker than I finish rum View the full article
  21. Nike and Stussy are two legendary brands when it comes to the world of streetwear. While Nike is a sportswear brand, there is no denying that they have a stranglehold on streetwear culture thanks to collaborations with big brands like Supreme and Off-White. Nike has also been known to collab with Stussy and that is exactly what they are doing on the Air Zoom Spiridon Caged 2 which is set to release in two colorways later this week. These two colorways are "Pure Platinum/Black-White" and "Fossil/Black/Fossil." Both models can be seen below and as you can see, they both take on the dad shoe aesthetic that has gained in popularity over the last little while. Either of these two models will certainly pop when worn with your spring outfits. Not to mention, the Air Zoom midsole will make these pretty comfortable when you're out and about. Both pairs will be dropping on Friday, March 27th for $160 USD. Let us know in the comments below how you feel about the collab and whether or not you plan on copping either colorway. If you're a Stussy fan, these are going to be hard to pass up. [Via] Image via Nike Image via Nike Image via Nike Image via Nike View the full article
  22. It's only March but, frankly, we're sick of this year and we're ready to crown Roddy Ricch the winner of 2020. The Compton product has been on a dominant chart run since December 2019, spending the majority of this year at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Many of us are wondering what it will take for the 21-year-old to lose his spot, which he has maintained for ten weeks. The latest count is in and, once again, Roddy Ricch is sitting pretty at No. 1 on the Hot 100. This time, he's making history. Roger Kisby/Getty Images In the latest tally, Roddy Ricch and "The Box" are found at the first spot once again, marking another impressive extension to his run. In its eleventh week at No. 1, "The Box" becomes just the third song by a solo rap artist to spend over ten weeks at the pole position. The only other songs to accomplish this were Drake "God's Plan" at eleven weeks and Eminem "Lose Yourself" at twelve weeks. Last year, Lil Nas X spent a record number of weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 but "Old Town Road" does not count in this record total because of Billy Ray Cyrus' guest vocals. Do you think Roddy Ricch will end up passing Eminem? "The Box" is the twenty-sixth song ever to spend such a long time at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Congratulations, Roddy!
