  1. London tomorrow for Chris, Brixton and a birthday party w/good friends in Clapham, LancinLee is turning 30. as usual, i am STOKED!
  2. you should've seen her shining the fabaroo night we got together in brooklyn.
  3. more proof they're ALL crazy back there, the PTB, that is (not you fine people).
  4. oh didn't know there was a quiz. i thought you were just asking, in which i'd say a combo of Valleygirl, Grunge, techie-boy (the last two thanks to Yahoo-boy), Brooklyn, and my best 'mature adult' American voice (when i need something from back there). wait, brb. whoa, big surprise: i have a Northern accent. dummies should've differentiated between 'northern' and brooklyn, new joisey, massachusetts, like that. i demand a refund! i want my two minutes back!
  5. ooh, you look like a playa. wanna date, Sir?
  6. sorry about your leg WF (fuckin' figures, right?) but little puppy's sooooo cute. :)
  7. from another message board from a friend of mine, Rapunzel in Reading: Mrs Rapunzel's post from the USA Currently in Boston, Mrs R. e-mailed me the following: "Utterly unprompted, driver who collected me from Boston airport was v full of last episode of Soprano's (aired last night) Said all US talking about it-end of an era etc. Common sentiment was 'great theme tune' ...wish she knew who wrote it..... A) put her right and told her to tell mates to buy their albums B) she says a popular radio host called Jim Braude (New England Cable Netwrok) is particularly banging on about how you can/ should never fast forward thru the Sop's opening credits because music is so good. A3 HAVE to use this one off Soprano-itis to spread the word that they wrote it, and many more "any fan who ever enjoyed the toon should show their appreciation for years of pleasure by buying an A3 album....." Etc An email from someone (even you!) to him could do no harm. My statistical sample .... was shocked they got no ongoing royalties.... This is a real sentiment that A3 could capitalise on. Hear endeth the only lesson from the Irrev Jo Love."
  8. hahahahahahahhaa...we all should do --- if we cared, which i don't.
  9. nothing.... and its great. all my friends are at Rockness (Loch Ness festie), been getting txts and calls all day and night from them and the Band. i somehow feel liberated, lol.
  10. today i hate (and am totally gutted by) the fact that Chris rang this morning to tell me he's seriously considering quitting yahoo. he's head of the developer group (and just got a pretty nice rise) but finds himself doing more managerial stuff than he ever thought --- he knows they know he's good at that but boy, are they gonna be surprised if he puts in his notice. he's just waiting for Rockness to be over (where, supposedly, he'll think about it more); already told his 'boss' (colleague and best friend there) and the dude's like totally amazed, as i am. i just want him to be happy (even though, if he quits, we'll both have like 30 days or whatever to get outta town). he said that if/when he puts his notice in, it won't take effect for another few months. i'm hoping that he spills to the 20 or so of our friends who'll be at Loch Ness (Rockness festie) w/him this weekend, all going just to see Alabama on saturday night plus a few more acts and that's about it. i'm all 'we were together the entire weekend and we talk every night --- WHAT THE FUCK KEPT YOU FROM TELLING ME THIS?' he told me he didn't want to worry me (more). i went 'what, you're gonna go back to the States now?' and he sed something like 'over my dead body, as long as that dickwad and the rest of the cheney-felchers are still in DC' i'm all 'well, whatever you decide, i'm behind you 100%' and he goes 'i know and i appreciate it especially after all we've been through together including after we broke up'. we'll see an' all. i think i'm still in shock over here...'still waters run deep'. :(
  11. thanks to the bass player of the Alabama 3 (Segs, formerly of the Ruts: one of the first British bands to combine punk and reggae), Chris and i have guest passes ('access all areas') for whatever day the Chemical Bros are playing (Segs produced some of their latest work); anyway i ain't doin' it cos my festie days are long gone (and good riddance to them). Chris might go to Glasto though for the day...we'll see how he fares up at Rockness this weekend. 4 days of camping out (and it's supposed to pour for most of that time); the last thing we heard was that for 30 quid more, one can buy access to 'posh' loos and bathing facilities and suchlike. i'm all 'big whoop, you're gonna do it?' he went 'it might be worth it to get cleaned up really well'. i LOL'd and sed 'we'll see how long that shit lasts' (the last festie he was at was (or Riotstock as he calls it), which was a total disaster according to him). then again, he's a young dude w/lots of stamina and patience and proud of it as well. and he's still such a redneck that he refuses to use an umbrella even when it's raining horizontally here.
  12. duh? i'm a mod and i ain't swinging it. wait...maybe that's the point? dunno, don't mind me, got weird news i'll post ASAP on today i hate and it's doing my head in.
  13. so how much are you gonna sell Mr Boo for? *ducks* (jk!)

  16. it didn't happen due to the Royal festival Hall jerks not getting it together in time. chris made this about it:
  17. i'll definitely be seeing this when it's available for rental or sale.
  18. it's a nice 10C/50F degrees here at the mo'. in a few hours i'lll be Shame Training it into London 16C/61F to be one of the very few invitees to the pre-pre opening of the Royal Festival Hall as a guest of the Alabama 3, who're playing tonight. I CANT' WAIT. (such is my life....every few weeks i trek it into London to see Chris and my friends and i'm alone here the rest of the time...oh well, it could be worse)
  19. i won't be reading this although i'd like to. the JFK assassination totally fucked up my then-young life and got me thrown out of all kindsa schools by refuting teachers and shit. and it totally fucked up my adult life cos now i doubt almost every official story w/a controversy in it.
