The Songs I've heard lately from the new album seem lacking their old energy and sound..

They were shying away a bit from the old "rap-rock" sound.

God forbid a generation that grew up listening to Guns 'n Roses alongside Run DMC should enjoy hard guitars and lyrical delivery.

What's next? Country Rock?

Oooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... wait. They already do that.

Country-rap?

Bah! Done?

Peanut butter and jelly in the same jar?

Antichrist!

(it really is)

Hmm... i looked on google to find out what the album title could mean.

'minutes to midnight' i dont know if any of you have heard of this but i thought

i would share,as i only just did find it. Apparently there is a clock known

as the doomsday clock which when the clock strikes 12 midnight, It can mean

WW3.Atm we are only like 3 minutes away.So therefore the album must be related

to war because in the video:VIDEO

you see LP doing there thing, but with war imagery going on in the filmclip. kinda scary actually. :(

Linkin Park will play Auckland's Vector Arena on Friday, October 12. Chris Cornell will open the show.

Linkin Park hit No. 1 in New Zealand with their most recent album Minutes to Midnight, but some fans weren't happy with the album's new sound.

Minutes to Midnight ditched the rap-rock sound favoured on their first two albums for a more measured, melodic approach.

Former Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell recently left his new band Audioslave to tour solo, performing songs from throughout his career.

Its crazy that a name as big as Chris Cornell is opening for Linkin Park. I remmeber listening to Soundgarden when I was in grade school. They were always near the top of the charts. Then came the monster that was Audioslave. I guess it's LP's time to shine! Should be an awesome show.

For those of you that do like Linkin Park, they are touring the US this summer on their Projekt Revolution tour. The lineup includes Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, HIM, Placebo, Julien-K, Mindless Self Idulgence, Saosin, Styles of Beyond, Madina Lake, and The Bled.

Even if you aren't going to a show you can still see video footage to stay connect with LP and Projekt Revolution.

Not being a big fan of Nu Metal genre myself, I expected to see more of those here.

I know, it's been 9 months since, but finally I got to listen to their album.

I did not find it to be any worse than previous once- which is a good thing.

Yes- the sound had changed, but not drastically- which means they will keep their crowd.

On the scale 1 to 10 they get 7.5 from me.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
