  6. The legal trouble for French Montana has heated up. During their rapid exchange of insults on social media, 50 Cent hurled scathing accusations toward the award-winning artist. However, none match up to what an unidentified woman claims she endured at the hands of "No Stylist" rapper. According to documents reportedly obtained by The Blast, a woman who wants to remain anonymous has filed a lawsuit against Montana, his employee Mansour Bennouna, and his Coke Boy Records label. Noam Galai / Stringer / Getty Images In the lawsuit, Jane Doe states that she and Montana first met at a recording studio in Los Angeles back in March 2018. Later, the rapper reportedly invited her to his private residence and she claims that's when things took a turn. It was around 6:00 a.m. when Jane Doe says both French and Bennouna told her to take a shot. Soon after, the woman claims she blacked out, "was rendered incapacitated, and remembered 'several men coming in and out of the bedroom.' She claimed that she remembered French Montana as one of those men." It wasn't until 1:30 p.m. that the woman "regained consciousness" to find Bennouna cuddling her in a "spooning" position. She later told authorities that she “felt a pain in her pelvis, lower back and vagina" and went to a hospital to have a rape kit administered after leaving the house "crying hysterically because she felt that she had been drugged and raped." "The investigation showed the presence of semen," The Blast reports. "She also reported the alleged rape to police." The woman, an aspiring model, says she had to halt her career because of the incident. She's suing for unspecified damages. [via] View the full article
  7. The Shea Butter Baby revolution isn't quite over. In May 2019, Dreamville's First Lady Ari Lennox delivered her stellar project Shea Butter Baby. There are a few critics who believe that R&B's stronghold in the industry isn't as prevalent as it has been in previous years, but Ari Lennox is hailed by fans and her fellow artists as one of the leading R&B-soul singers of this generation. Ari returned on Friday (March 27) with a three-pack Shea Butter Baby Remix EP that includes the original album's tracks "I Been," "Facetime," and "BMO." The latter is heard with additional vocals from Hot Pink artist Doja Cat who drops her attitude into Ari's sultry jam. Meanwhile, Shea Butter Baby Remix EP also finds an appearance by Smino on "I Been" and Durand Bernarr assisting on "Facetime." Give "BMO (Remix)" a few listens and let us know what you think of Doja Cat's added vocals. 8. Famed Canadian producer Murda Beatz has given fans a quarantine bop to enjoy during this global lockdown. He surfaced on Friday (March 27) with his track "Banana Split," a collaboration with YNW Melly featuring Lil Durk. For someone who has remained in custody for over a year, YNW Melly has been cranking out new tunes without hesitation. Melly shared his hit Melly vs. Melvin project last November and has been heard on collaborations with various artists since the beginning of his incarceration. The rapper hopped on this Murda Beatz mix to rap about street ties and living the life of luxury, the latter being something he can't wait to come home to if he's released. Chicago's Lil Durk spits a verse and makes sure to include that his rhymes aren't about to get him into any more legal trouble. "No indictments on the song," he raps. Check out "Banana Split" by Murda Beatz and YNW Melly featuring Lil Durk and let us know what you think. Quotable Lyrics Okay, yet I might might agree I'm bloody and yes I got my degree (Slatt) That means I got knowledge on n*ggas who killin' And really got bodies and 'bout all that body lil' b*tch (Slatt, lil' bitch) Okay 'bout that body lil' b*tch (Lil' b*tch) Go pop you a molly lil' b*tch (Lil' hoe) View the full article
  9. As Rihanna's Navy awaits the elusive forthcoming project from the accomplished singer, they'll be thrilled to see that she makes an appearance on PartyNextDoor's recent release. The OVO Sound artist shared his project PARTYMOBILE on Friday (March 27) and fans will have plenty of time to become acquainted with the collection of tracks during this current COVID-19 quarantine. PARTYMOBILE only hosts three features including looks from Drake, Bad Bunny, and Rihanna. The latter artist is heard lending her vocals to "Believe It," a song where you'll find PartyNextDoor confessing his love to his partner. In the lyrics, he admits to breaking trust and wants to know if he'll be punished forever or if they'll be able to move forward while leaving the drama behind. Rihanna adds her smooth sounds to the mix, making for a delightful collaboration. Let us know what you think. Quotable Lyrics First you gotta forgive me Let me know everything gon' be okay And if I come back with everything I did Would you still punish me? You know I did a long time ago View the full article
  10. In a surprise move, Jeezy announced on Thursday that he was dropping his next album, Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision, in less than 24 hours. The rap icon has been making headlines lately due to his relationship with The Real host Jeannie Mai more than for his music in the last few months, so Jeezy made sure to remind the world that he's still a force to be reckoned with in the rap game. It was just last August when Jeezy dropped his acclaimed TM104: The Legend Of The Snowman that was said to be his final record. It's now believed that the rapper meant it would make his last album with Def Jam and in no way would he be retiring anytime soon. Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision is a seven-pack project with no features as the veteran emcee puts his talents on full display. The record is produced by Shawty Redd, Jeezy's longtime friend and collaborator. Give the album a few listens and let us know what you think. Tracklist 1. Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision 2. First Mind 3. Billions 4. Keep Going 5. Rollie To Church 6. Buy A Bank 7. 11. Fans have been waiting on PartyNextDoor to drop a new album since he shared his Seven Days EP back in 2017. Over the years, there have been rumors that the OVO artist would be releasing new music sooner than later, but fans were only met with disappointment. Now that PARTYMOBILE has arrived, listeners are met with a project that is carried by PartyNextDoor. The minimal features include OVO head honcho Drake, pop sensation Rihanna, and additional vocals by international superstar Bad Bunny as he hops on the remix to "Loyal." The singer-songwriter flexes his skills and shows just why he became the first artist to sign to OVO, proving that his hype isn't in vain. 12. Ever since Nav, Gunna, and Travis Scott hopped off the Learjet on the way back from "Yosemite," fans have been eagerly awaiting their next road trip, wherever it might happen to bring them. As it turns out, the destination was set long ago. Enter "Turks," a long-awaited reunion banger from the trifecta, one that has been gaining momentum ever since a snippet first premiered a while back. Tom Szczerbowski/Getty Images Though it was likely meant for a full-length project, Nav took it upon himself to expedite the release, a move we're all grateful for. Now, "Turks" has arrived in high-quality, living up to the hype set by Astroworld highlight "Yosemite." Taking to the minimalist beat with a melodic flow, Nav sets the scheme in motion with some hypnotic bars, mirrored by his collaborators in their following verses. Though some have wondered whether he'd coast following his heightened success, Travis Scott stands in fine form on this one, gliding over the instrumental with panache. "First time in Turks, had a whole bunch of work had to bring two jets, and a whole lot of babes," he raps, making us all collectively pine for the days of open air travel. The always reliable Gunna closes the track, the hero we never knew we needed. "You know I'm not simp, no stretch, send texts, so I'm puttin' in work, gotta beat it out the frame," he boasts, gliding over Wheezy's slick banger. Check it out now, and sound off - did Nav's "Turks" live up to the hype? QUOTABLE LYRICS I'm a late bloomer, third year on the scene Twenty racks don't feel like nothin' to me Came from the streets, it turned me to a beast Invisible set, diamonds huggin' my piece Book me for a show, I need eighty at least I want the smoke, ain't no keepin' the peace View the full article
  13. The release of ADHD is a long time coming. With the animosity swept under the rug, fans now were anticipating more music from the Massachusetts emcee. The highly-anticipated album has finally arrived, and it was certainly worth the wait. The list of features on ADHD may be minimal, but they pack a punch. 14. It may be a bold declaration, but PnB Rock wants artists to recognize that he's the leader of the singing-rapping wave. It's unknown what prompted the rapper to take to his Twitter and share these thoughts with the world, but PnB Rock made it clear that he doesn't appreciate other artists mimicking his style. “I wish so many mfs stop tryna sound like PNB," he tweeted. "I created my own wave ain’t ride off nobody sh*t.. i got Enuff Kidz." A Twitter user disagreed with the rapper and commented, "I need names Ion really hear nobody sounding like him." The remark didn't go unnoticed, and PnB Rock hit the Caps Lock to issue a response. "I STARTED THIS SINGIN TRAPPIN AND RAPPIN SH*T... DO YA GOOGLES," the rapper said. "CAME HOME FROM UPSTATE PENITENTIARY 2013 NOBODY WAS DOIN THIS SH*T BUT ME NO FUCKIN CAPP... JUST STATIN ALL FACTS." However, some people refused the rapper's claims and named off artists like Max B and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Meanwhile, PnB Rock never revealed which artists he was referring to with his initial tweet. Check out the messages below and let us know who you think kicked off the "singing, rapping, and trapping" wave. View the full article
  15. She's recently shared her latest EP Suga with the world, and now Megan Thee Stallion is breaking down her lyrics. The Houston rapper recently sat down with Genius for their Verified series as she analyzed the bars to her hit song "B.I.T.C.H." The Suga track samples Tupac Shakur's classic song "Ratha Be Ya N*gga," and Megan Thee Stallion explained why she decided to borrow from the late rapper's hit. Marcus Ingram / Stringer / Getty Images "I super love Tupac. N.I.G.G.A. is like on my playlist, so, I'm just listening to it and I'm like, Hell nah. This would sound good if a girl really flipped it," she said. "I really like the way Tupac speaks. Like, his cadence. His flow. He's just very dominant. He just give big talk energy and I just feel like I do the same. When he talkin', he just really be talkin' that sh*t that I like. I feel like when my Hotties listenin' to me, that's how they feel." Although her "B.I.T.C.H" lyrics make it sound as if Megan is the type of person to fight another woman over a man, the rapper said she's never done that in her life. She also mentioned that she has had men come into her life who have attempted to tell her how to act. Of course, the rapper didn't name names, but she said someone tried putting their foot down and telling her she couldn't twerk on her fans during her live show—and she wasn't having any of that. Check out Megan Thee Stallion chop it up with Genius for Verified below. View the full article
