  1. It's getting harder and harder to keep track of how many times Summer Walker and London On Da Track have broken up and gotten back together. But this breakup — however long it lasts — seems far messier than usual, since she just publicly retaliated at a fan for saying London cheated on her and that she "disrespected his BMs." Over the weekend, Walker aired out her dirty laundry on Instagram, leading fans to believe that she and London are, once again, broken up. "I should really out this bum ass n*gga @londonondatrack," she wrote. "I could really f*ck up life... lol but... I'm not. For now. lol for now ima just take my L." Adding, "A whole b*tch." To make matters worse, she went on to attack London as a father and his baby mamas. After a fan commented on one of Walker's posts, saying: "YOU disrespected his BMs and took him back after he cheated on you. Why are you trying to act surprised?," she fired back with: "1st, if that n*gga ever cheated on me I ain't never found out & damn this perspective is so annoying." "I never disrespected his baby mamas, I don't even be thinking about them," she continued. "I retaliated cause I ain't no hoe. Ain't nobody bout to keep being nice tryna sing kumbaya big happy family when they keep constantly disrespecting me. I'm going to curse you out every time. lol who raised y'all to just let mfs talk you crazy time after time and you never say sh*t back." View the full article
  2. Jordan Brand is one of the biggest sneaker entities in the world and Michael Jordan has become a billionaire as a direct result of the imprint's success. Jumpman has been steadily opening new stores in countries all around the world, and now, Manila in the Philippines will be the next location to receive it's very own Jordan Store. This new retail space will open on December 3rd and it is expected to carry all of the latest and greatest Jumpman releases. As a way to commemorate the opening of this store, Jordan Brand has come through with a special "Manila" Air Jordan 4 that will drop in incredibly limited quantities. In fact, only 150 pairs will make their way to the market, which means you can expect some truly wild resale prices. In the images below, you can see that the sneaker has premium materials with green, black, and gold making their way throughout the upper. Today, Nike Park members will be given access to a special raffle that will be drawn tomorrow. Winners will have to wait until Thursday to claim their prize as that's when the store will officially open. Needless to say, even if you are a Nike Park member, there is a very slim chance you actually win the raffle. Regardless, this is a pretty unique Jordan 4 colorway and it's certainly worth a shot. Let us know what you think of this model, in the comments below. View the full article
  3. In an unfortunate turn of events, Benny The Butcher recently found himself involved on the receiving end of a bullet to the leg after he was robbed at gunpoint in Dallas Texas. Luckily, the shooting did not prove fatal, and before long Benny was on the road to recovery -- a road that even brought him to Rick Ross' sprawling estate, where he appeared to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast in style. Now, one day removed from the one-year anniversary of Griselda' What Would Chine Gun Do, Benny The Butcher has confirmed his intention to return to the booth. While it's unclear if he currently remains in a wheelchair at the moment, Benny does seem inspired to put in some serious work during his upcoming session, as evidenced by his invocation of the late DJ Shay. An important figure in the Griselda movement as a whole, Shay served as a mentor of sorts to Westside Gunn, Conway, and Benny, guiding them along their road to hip-hop stardom and providing unfaltering faith in their prowess as emcees. "Me and @djshaybsf been doin this for a long long time," captions Benny, sharing a nostalgic photo of he and Shay during their younger years. "I’m gettin back in the lab today wishin my boy was with me." It goes without saying that he'll be there in spirit, as Benny is keeping his memory alive with this one -- in fact, Shay was recently immortalized on wax through Conway's emotional "Forever Droppin Tears," a dedication that recently landed an official video. Rest in peace to DJ Shay. For more from The Butcher, check out our exclusive interview with Benny right here. View the full article

  5. Coronavirus is a myth until it hits close to home. Ice-T knows this from witnessing it first-hand. The OG rapper and actor took to Instagram yesterday where he revealed that his father-in-law, Coco's dad, caught a bad case of coronavirus. What's worse is that he was an anti-masker who firmly believed that COVID-19 wasn't serious. "My father-in-law ‘Coco’s dad’ was a serious ‘No Masker’ COVID hit him," Ice-T wrote alongside with a photo of his father-in-law with an oxygen mask. "Pneumonia in both lungs.. 40 days in ICU close to death.. Now he’s on Oxygen indefinitely. Ohhh he’s a Believer now.. #COVIDisNotAGame." Ice-T's tweet left Twitter divided with some individuals lacking sympathy towards an anti-masker who caught COVID while others continue to insist that the virus is a hoax. We've witnessed some of our favorite artists combat the virus including Scarface. He beat his battle with coronavirus, though it left him with kidney failure. "Some people think a Mask is a sign of weakness.. My homie @BrotherMob who had it, told me.. “Ice, your Gangster can’t fight this shit…..” I heard him loud and clear," he added. As they say, it's now what you say, it's how you say it but people weren't really feeling Ice-T's delivery on this one. Maskless Twitter began attacking the gangster rap pioneer for using his family member as an example of the effects of coronavirus. View the full article
  6. Ever since Nate Robinson was knocked out by Jake Paul during their boxing match on Saturday, there has been a huge fallout online. Of course, many were shocked that Paul would be able to pull off such a decisive victory, while others were disappointed that Robinson couldn't put up much of a fight. Memes have been heavily circulating the internet and as it stands, Robinson might want to lay low for a bit. Stephen A. Smith of ESPN is taking a different approach with his analysis of the fight, noting that it overshadowed the Mike Tyson bout. Smith even said that he was scared for Robinson as it took the former NBA star a few minutes before he could even get up from the canvas. "This brother was put to sleep in a way that you only see happen to people who take Ambien. It was that bad," Smith said. "I'm not going to be like other people in the NBA where folks were joking around. I thought he was really really hurt, I was scared for him. It was something sad to see." Smith explained that Jake Paul was simply more prepared for the fight and that Robinson should have steered clear of the fight altogether. Max Kellerman agreed with Smith's analysis and if you saw the fight live, it's hard to argue otherwise. Moving forward, it remains to be seen whether or not Robinson gets back in the ring. 7. The recent release of Nas' King's Disease album has once again reopened the floor for discussion surrounding his overall discography. And when talks of that nature kick-off, his seventh studio album Street's Disciple tends to feel like the odd man out. Boasting no shortage of strong material, as per usual with double disc efforts, Street's Disciple tends to fall victim to its own ambition. But while it has received a decent amount of retroactive acclaim, it remains difficult to place in the grand scheme of Nas' overarching career. One thing is certain, however -- the project's second disc begins on a truly excellent note, with Nas linking with Busta Rhymes for the ominous and downright intimidating "Suicide Bounce." Over a haunting and up-tempo string-driven instrumental produced by Esco himself, Nas paints a vivid picture of the perils found within his environment and the forces moving to tip the scales. "Body viewings, at the wake, N**ga sit stiff in his Ferrari, no casket," raps Nas. "With his eyelids still open, it's kinda spooky / Iceman watch on, the suit Gucci." With the project officially celebrating its sixteenth birthday on this very day, consider checking out one of the clear highlights on Street's Disciple. And for those who hold the album close to heart, consider sharing your thoughts on whether or not it ultimately deserves more appreciation from the rap community. QUOTABLE LYRICS To your, power structure, Nas is dangerous Y'all the antithesis, the opposite Twitching shit, all up in your body language Mean mugging your bitch, because she leans over To look closer, told you y'all sloppy gangsters Saying "Nas is this, and Nas is that" Your eyes go front, your eyes go back Surprised I'm at the same place y'all be at View the full article
  8. Pries started buzzing out of Denver during the golden mixtape days, collaborating with Kid Ink, Emilio Rojas, and others over the years. He's still around and he's ready to get the hype started again, promising some magic in the next month. Over the year, Pries has been trickling out new music from his upcoming album Beautifully Depressed, including the brand new single "Shoota". The new release is available now on all streaming services, as well as the back cover of Pries' new album, which is slated for release in December. "Shoota" is not listed on the album's tracklist, but it is possibly going to be added on. The track features Pries serenading a lady, asserting himself and saying that he's the best possible romantic suitor for her. Listen to it below and stay tuned for Beautifully Depressed, which drops in December 2020. 9. 600Breezy is tired of Quando Rondo-- so much so that he's ready to risk his own life to square up with the rapper in Chicago. A few days ago, 600Breezy dared Quando Rondo to perform his new song "End Of Story", which references King Von's death, in his hometown. After Quando's show got canceled in Georgia, he went live to show off his rifle, claiming that he's actually in Chicago right now. Of course, 600Breezy saw that as an invitation to continue antagonizing Quando, dropping his location and requesting for the rapper to pull up. "This bitch lie so much," said 600Breezy about Quando saying he's in Chicago. "366 e 59th st between calumet and king dr we outside." This is not the first time that Breezy has called out Quando for capping. After his concert was canceled, Quando deleted his Instagram page, which prompted 600Breezy to state that the rapper was lying about the promoter calling off the show, claiming that Quando was actually responsible for it. Their beef stems from the recent shooting death of King Von. Quando Rondo reportedly had an altercation with Von in the parking lot of an Atlanta nightclub, which led to a bunch of gunfire and several casualties. Carmen Mandato/Getty Images Hopefully, this situation doesn't result in anything ugly. Breezy clearly wants the smoke, but this could be dangerous for both men. Do you think Quando is lying about being in Chicago? View the full article
  10. If something particularly captivating goes down in the world of pop culture at large, it's only a matter of time before 50 Cent catches wind of it. In fact, he's become something of a leading cultural commentator in the hip-hop world, speaking volumes while saying little; it's a testament as to how many people still hang on his every word, a holdover from his days as one of the rap game's most popular artists. Graham Denholm/Getty Images Now, 50 Cent has -- perhaps inevitably -- taken a moment to address the fallout from the oft-memed fight between former NBA player Nate Robinson and YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, who many simply love to hate at this point. Unfortunately for Robinson, the fight quickly concluded by way of a violent knockout, turning him into a laughing stock of sorts -- despite the fact he actually stepped up and did his best, a quality that should by all accounts be admired. It got to the point where even LeBron James had a hearty guffaw at his expense, and no surprise, as the internet comedians have been working overtime for this one. Though Fif didn't have much to say on Robinson's knockout, he did take a moment to share an admittedly amusing re-imagining of the NBA Logo, in which Robinson's unconscious likeness replaces the iconic Jerry West silhouette. He did, however, make sure to bring an old catchphrase out of pseudo-retirement, offering a much-needed "Get The Strap" in these trying times. Check it out for yourself below, and sound off -- do you think the public at large is going too hard on Nate Robinson? Or is that simply the high cost of falling to the hands of a Paul? 11. Out and about for the first time in months, Tekashi 6ix9ine finally made a public appearance at a nightclub in Miami, Florida for his girlfriend Jade's birthday. People are talking about the rapper's re-appearance following his album flop, placing a focus on his trollery of Gervonta Davis, who he seemingly wanted to fight at the club. As he's been doing all year, 6ix9ine also seemingly stepped out with a new look, growing and grooming his mustache (to close out Movember) and throwing over $100,000 in cash. According to TMZ, they were at a gentlemen's club, walking in with over $200,000 and emptying out at least half of that on the dancers. The rapper was wearing a black Dolce & Gabbana get-up, complete with tons of jewelry around his neck and his new mustache. Earlier this year, 6ix9ine was spotted with a full beard, so it looks like he's trying out different looks to see what sticks before possibly making his grand re-introduction to the world. His appearance at the club is notable, especially because he was released from prison with the condition that he was at risk of contracting COVID-19 with his pre-existing medical conditions, including asthma. 6ix9ine didn't seem to care about his health last night though, partying without a mask over his face. It's worthwhile to add that in Florida, you're able to go clubbing without a mask. Do you think 6ix9ine's mustache suits him? [via] View the full article
  12. Steph Curry is one of the biggest names in the NBA right now and this season, he will have a huge opportunity to lead the Golden State Warriors back to the playoffs. Curry's play over the last few years has allowed him to win two NBA MVP trophies while also securing three NBA championships and five NBA Finals appearances. With all of this success in mind, it should be no surprise that he has his own signature sneaker deal with the likes of Under Armour. The two have had a fruitful relationship over the years and prior to the release of his UA Curry 8, it would appear as though a brand new opportunity has arisen. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Steph and Under Armour have officially launched Curry Brand which is a division of UA but will only feature Curry-backed products. Simply put, Curry is now the Michael Jordan of Under Armour. Of course, Jordan's Nike sneakers were so popular that he was able to create Jordan Brand. Now, Curry is getting a similar opportunity and fans can expect sneakers, apparel, and perhaps even golf attire, moving forward. The first sneaker to be released under Curry Brand will be the UA Curry 8 which is set to arrive on December 11th. This is a huge move for the basketball star and it will be interesting to see how it plays out in the coming months. Christian Petersen/Getty Images for The Match View the full article
  13. The streaming era has been a fruitful time for hip-hop's young artists, many of whom have already amassed veritable treasure troves worth of gold and platinum plaques. For 21 Savage, who recently reunited with Metro Boomin to deliver the anticipated and acclaimed Savage Mode 2, his collection stands among the most respectable of his generation. Especially more so after this weekend, during which 21 officially added an additional twenty gold and platinum plaques to his existing haul, bringing his grand total to thirty-one. That's a lot of wall space for the Atlanta rapper to occupy, but rest assured that he'll find a way to make it work. For the most part, many of this recent batch stems from I Am > I Was, an album released in late December of 2018. And while the album itself was certified platinum in January of 2020, it would appear that many of the individual songs have followed suit to an extent. We're looking at, on the gold front, plaques for "Numb," "AT&T," "Bad Business," "All My Friends," "FaceTime," "Famous," "Immortal," "Whole Lot," "1.5," "My Brother," "ASMR," "My Choppa Hate N***as" with Offset & Metro Boomin, "Mad Stalkers" with Offset & Metro Boomin, and "Rap Saved Me" with Offset, Metro Boomin, and Quavo. On the platinum front, 21 managed to upgrade the J. Cole-assisted "A Lot" (a track that proved countless naysayers wrong) with a fourth plaque, as well as shiny new ones for "Ball Without You," "Can't Leave Without It," Issa Album, a third upgrade for "X" with Future, and a fifth for "Bank Account." Suffice it to say, it's only a matter of time for 21's collection grows even more substantial, especially considering the fact that Savage Mode 2 has yet to enter play. Expect several of that album's tracks to hit the gold mark before long, and congratulations to 21 Savage for an impressive milestone. View the full article
  14. Meek Mill wants to work with Sony and Microsoft on an initiative that would make the next-generation gaming consoles easier to find in low-income areas, stressing the importance of video games in places like Philadelphia, as he says that gaming keeps kids "out of bad environments". If you've been shopping around for a new PS5 this holiday season, you know that it's pretty near impossible to grab one. The console is re-selling for thousands as people can't wait any longer to get their hands on one. The Xbox Series X has been equally difficult to buy, albeit slightly less stressful to shop for. Olly Curtis/Future Publishing via Getty Images For some families that cannot afford to spend nearly a thousand dollars on a gaming console, the possibility to get the new system is even more difficult, as it entails securing the funds necessary before the actual purchasing process. Meek Mill wants to make it easier for everybody to find the PS5 or Xbox Series X in low-income neighborhoods, shooting his shot with Sony and Microsoft to hammer out a deal that would focus on "the hood". "Play station or Xbox should do a collab with us in the hood with those PS5’s and new Xbox’s this Christmas for the ones who can’t afford em," suggested Meek on Twitter. "I’ll put up money...I do big toy drives in Philadelphia every year let me know.. them games keep them kids out of them bad environments!" Paras Griffin/Getty Images This is a smart initiative from one of the biggest activists in the rap game. Shout-out to Meek Mill for once again putting his platform to good use. View the full article
  15. "Only Want You" singer, Rita Ora, is facing major backlash from fans after throwing herself a 30th birthday party in London over the weekend. According to Entertainment Tonight, 30 of Ora's closest friends were in attendance, including Cara Delevingne, despite the UK being in lockdown until December 2. After realizing she was in hot water after the secrecy of her party was compromised, Ora issued an apology via her Instagram story, apologizing for disregarding the rules of lockdown, in hopes of saving face and not becoming the next victim of cancel culture. "Hello all, I attended a small gathering with some friends to celebrate my 30th birthday," she wrote. "It was a spur of the moment decision made with the misguided view that we were coming out of lockdown and this would be OK." She went on, explaining that she takes full responsibility for her lapse in judgement. "I’m deeply sorry for breaking the rules and in turn understand that this puts people at risk. This was a serious and inexcusable error of judgement. Given the restrictions, I realise how irresponsible these actions were and I take full responsibility." "I feel particularly embarrassed knowing first-hand how hard people have worked to combat this terrible illness and being fully aware of the sacrifices that people and businesses have made to help keep us all safe," she continued. "Even though this won’t make it right, I want to sincerely apologise." Additionally, Ora voluntarily paid the £10,000 fine for her gathering. [via] View the full article
  16. Fans of the Air Jordan 4 have been blessed with a ton of new colorways over the past couple of years. Back in 2019, Jordan Brand celebrated the 30th anniversary of the shoe with a ton of fresh offerings while also delivering some highly-anticipated retros. In 2020, Jumpman has done more of the same as the silhouette continues to get a plethora of support. With the year coming to an end, Jordan Brand has every intention of keeping the Jordan 4 momentum going as the new 2021 models continue to get teased. The latest Jordan 4 colorway to be teased is this interesting "Taupe Haze" offering that will certainly turn some heads. As you can see in the images below courtesy of @zsneakerheadz, the shoe has a suede upper that is covered in a purplish-brown hue. From there, white and black are on the midsole all while infrared is placed on the outsole and even the inside lining of the sneaker. Overall, it makes for a unique look that will definitely have fans taking out their wallets come release day. You can expect these to officially drop on February 6th of 2021 for $200 USD. These details have yet to be confirmed by the brand, so stay tuned for updates as we will be sure to bring those to you. View the full article
  17. Playboi Carti fans have theorized that today could finally be the day that the Atlanta rapper releases his new studio album Whole Lotta Red. The reasoning behind their theories comes from Carti's recent posts on social media, which have included a bunch of 3's and 0's. Reaching slightly, people are under the assumption that the vampiric artist is planning to drop on November 30 as a result. If he doesn't come through today, people will continue to grow increasingly frustrated with the lack of updates from the rapper, which is what killed his hype the first time the album was rumored to drop. Thankfully, if Playboi Carti doesn't decide to release his album, we've got Mario Judah to stand in for him. Nobody would have thought that the hottest new kid on the scene, Mario Judah, could pull off such an impressive Playboi Carti impression but it turns out that he sounds just like the rapper at times. He went live on Instagram recently and recorded a song in Carti's style, getting the baby voice perfectly and promising that, if Carti doesn't drop Whole Lotta Red, he will. "I'll drop that bitch. I will drop Whole Lotta Red if you don't," said Mario Judah in a new video, screaming and landing a spot-on Carti impression. Then, he went all-out with the impression, recording a song over a Carti-type beat and sounding almost exactly like the rapper. So, if things end up failing for the "Die Very Rough" artist, we know that he's got a potential job as a Playboi Carti impersonator on TikTok. Mario Judah isn't playing around at all, he's giving Carti one full week to drop his new album. If it's not out by then, he'll be dropping his own version of Whole Lotta Red. If you don't believe him, just take a look at what he did with his viral remake of DaBaby's "ROCKSTAR". View the full article
  18. Megan Thee Stallion wowed fans last night with a post showing off all her curves. Following her Savage X Fenty Black Friday campaign, the "Body" rapper, 25, took to Instagram to share a photo of herself wearing a skintight, beige, strapless, one-legged bodysuit. "I could build a house with all the brick I got," she captioned the post, adding that a famous drugstore brand is to thank for part of her makeup look. " I created this lip with my brown and crystal clear @revlon lip gloss." The photo came shortly after the Savage X Fenty official Instagram account shared Meg's aforementioned campaign, where she stunned in a black and blue, "starry" lingerie set. It seems that lately, it's Hot Girl Meg's world and we're just living in it. This year alone, despite being in a pandemic, she had three viral hits — "Savage," "WAP," and "Body" — she was nominated last week for her first-ever Grammy award, she's now a spokesperson for Rihanna's incredibly successful lingerie line, and she released her highly anticipated debut album, Good News, which was the most-streamed album last week according to Billboard. "We just keep beating the odds hotties Doing everything they said we couldn’t Thank y’all so much for always supporting me and I promise to keep getting better for y’all Thank you to everyone who was apart of creating this album keep running up GOOD NEWS," she wrote on Instagram. While 2020 has been miserable for most of us, it was quite possibly the most monumental year for Meg's career thus far, and it still isn't over yet. Who knows, she may still have a few more tricks up her sleeve. View the full article
  19. Though many fans actually came to admire the way Machine Gun Kelly handled business in his notorious beef with Eminem, a feud that saw him attacking the Rap God with the incendiary "Rap Devil." Though some were reluctant to applaud the Gunner for his efforts, there are who actually admired the way he stood up to such a devastating opponent with far more experience in warfare. Yet the Stan numbers are legion, and MGK quickly found himself on the receiving end of their relentless counterassault, emboldened further after the release of Em's "Killshot." The backlash got so bad that it actually had a noted impact on the sales of Hotel Diablo, as theorized by Machine Gun Kelly during a recent conversation with Dave Franco for Interview Magazine. In fact, he downright confirms that his public perception was at an all-time low following the beef, despite the fact that he actually held his own like any rapper should. "As a hip-hop album, [Hotel Diablo] is flawless front to back, and also a hint at the evolution of how I went into a pop-punk album," he explains. "But it was coming off the tail-end of that infamous beef [with Eminem]. So no one wanted to give it the time of day." "It’s like if you make a shitty movie and then you come out with a great movie right after, but people want to focus on the fact that they hated whatever you just did," he explains. "What I did in the beef was exactly what it should be, but that project wasn’t welcomed. The next album came from already feeling like I’d counted out, so I didn’t even care what the public was going to think." Regardless of how you might feel about Machine Gun Kelly, a simple truth must be acknowledged and downright respected. He was called out on "Not Alike" and responded with "Rap Devil" in a matter of days, willing to engage against one of rap's most formidable lyricists. Though he may have shifted genres entirely these days, MGK deserves his props for keeping his composure. Check out the full interview with Dave Franco here, and sound off -- do you think MGK's Hotel Diablo deserves a second chance? View the full article
  20. Marshawn Lynch has always been one of the funniest characters in the history of the NFL. From downing Skittles on the sidelines to being extremely cold with reporters, Lynch became a fan-favorite because of his personality. Not to mention, his skills out on the field spoke for themselves, and Seattle Seahawks fans were certainly grateful for everything he contributed to the franchise. Recently, Lynch was on an episode of Peyton Manning's ESPN show "Peyton's Places." While speaking about pre-game rituals, Lynch came through with a huge revelation that will definitely have NFL fans laughing. As he notes in the clip below, he used to take a shot of Hennessy before every single game. Manning was curious about the ritual and asked if the team had a bar in the locker room. Lynch went on to say that the Hennessy always came out of his backpack. The NFL has always had rules against alcohol in the locker rooms although it's certainly something that's easy to hide if you keep in your backpack. Besides, Lynch is now out of the league so it's not like the NFL can do anything about it anymore. Meanwhile, Lynch also joked with Manning about the fines he received during his career and how he was always sent the invoice. Needless to say, Lynch was never one for playing by the rules, and it's why he's so beloved. View the full article
  21. Mike Tyson came out of retirement on Saturday and got to fight against the likes of Roy Jones Jr. In the end, the two fought to a draw although many noted that Tyson was the clear winner. Either way, a rematch could be on the horizon and fans are already looking forward to it. After Saturday's match, Tyson was talking to reporters where he was asked whether or not he was high during the fight. Tyson confirmed that he was, indeed, high and that it's not really something that affects him negatively as he smokes every single day. “Absolutely yes… Listen, I can’t stop smoking,” Tyson said per the New York Post. “I smoked during fights. I just have to smoke, I’m sorry. I’m a smoker. … I smoke everyday. I never stopped smoking. It’s just who I am. It has no effect on me from a negative standpoint. It’s just what I do and how I am and how I’m going to die. There’s no explanation. There’s no beginning, there’s no end.” This revelation shouldn't come as much of a shock considering Tyson has his very own weed company. Not to mention, the rules for the fight stipulated that neither fighter could use any sort of drug except for marijuana, which was clearly a rule tailored around Tyson's lifestyle. Either way, you got to hand it to the guy for being so on top of his game despite being under the influence. Joe Scarnici/Getty Images for Triller [Via] View the full article
  22. Mulatto is one of the most popular women in rap, having a serious break-out year with the release of her debut studio album Queen of Da Souf, which featured booming singles "In n Out" with the City Girls and "On God". Her rise to the top has been eleven years in the making, starting off as a child star and ending up as one of the biggest women in rap. Her profile just keeps on rising and, as it does, criticism is at an all-time high for the 21-year-old star. Just last week, Mulatto was dragged for identifying as Black on social media, despite her past remarks that she doesn't like to call herself Black or White and actually prefers the term she uses as her stage name, which is outdated and offensive to many. She has heard the critiques and, according to her latest interview with HipHopDX from the BET Hip-Hop Awards, she's actually considering changing her name in the future. Paras Griffin/Getty Images "I can’t say too much because we’re working on something right now, but I would be lying to say it hasn’t crossed my mind before," said Mulatto about a possible name change. "It is a controversy that I hear and see every day as far as my name goes, so I would be lying to say no I never thought of that. But I can’t say too much right now, because it’s going to be a part of something bigger." The name that the publication suggests she'll go with is her nickname, Big Latto. The rapper also touched on her viral bars about Fivio Foreign during their XXL Freshman cypher, saying that it was nothing more than wordplay and that she wasn't actually shooting her shot. "I don’t know it was an on-set thing, as a creative it’s what we do, it’s wordplay," she said. Do you think Latto should change her name? [via] View the full article
  23. Nate Robinson had an unsuccessful foray into the boxing world on Saturday night as he was absolutely demolished by the likes of Jake Paul. Robinson's loss came in the second round after he was knocked down twice in a matter of seconds. It was clear that he simply didn't have the same experience as Paul, which led to a pretty horrific outcome that was followed up with plenty of memes. Over the course of the last 24 hours, the memes have died down, and now, many have decided to show their support for Robinson. Among those people is none other than former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, who hyped up Robinson on Instagram. “You went out there, you got knocked out and became and instant [sic] meme NOW get back in the lab. That a** whooping was no different then the first time you had to guard Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury, Baron Davis and me. We beat that a** and that didn’t stop you from putting on that jersey.” Arenas wrote. "Lick ur wounds, watch what u did wrong, watch what u did right, adjust, study becuz it's never where u start it's where u finish u said u we're doing this for all the hoopers then u should know a real hooper bounce back game is litty." Arenas went on to say that Robinson should already be thinking about a rematch with Paul as the first fight didn't necessarily count. At this point, it remains to be seen whether or not Robinson will want to do that, although a rematch would certainly draw a lot of money. Emilee Chinn/Getty Images View the full article
  24. Freddie Gibbs will catch it all, especially if there's potential for some unapologetic roasting. And by his assessment, there's nobody off-limits from his ridicule -- not even one of hip-hop's respected OGs, LL Cool J. In fact, Gibbs recently had a hearty laugh at LL's expense upon witnessing his appearance speaking on the Roy Jones and Mike Tyson boxing match over the weekend. "Ay fam this n**ga got on makeup," remarks Freddie, his voice creaking with laughter. "Cut it out man. Just talk about rap shit, don't take about black shit after you did 'Accidental Racist.' You got on makeup, n***a." Clearly, Freddie Gibbs' issues with LL run a little deeper, with the notorious "Accidental Racist" appearing to be the inciting incident that landed him on Gibbs' radar in the first place. For those who have never actually heard the song, which originally released on country artist Brad Paisley's 2013 album Wheelhouse, it has been widely panned and even speculated to be the "worst song ever made" by some more vocal haters. In the track, which stemmed from Paisley's experience wearing a Lynard Skynard t-shirt depicting the Confederate Flag, LL Cool J raps lines like "RIP Robert E. Lee, But I've gotta thank Abraham Lincoln for freeing me." Suffice it to say, the song was an instant target for ridicule in spite of its good intentions. It would appear LL is still paying the cost, at least in the ever-watchful eyes of Gangsta Gibbs. Check out his reaction to LL's made-up appearance below, and rest assured that it won't be the last time Freddie Gibbs gets back on his bully. View the full article
  25. Earlier this year, Boosie Badazz caught the attention of Drake, who co-signed his message about Kanye West and his apparently one-sided beef against the OVO superstar. In September, Kanye was well in the midst of his highly-public battle against Universal Music Group, as well as other record labels. He had shared his entire contract with them on Twitter, and he had some light shade for Drake, who he's been feuding with for years. "WE’RE GONIG TO TRANSPARENTLY CHANGE EVERY ALBUM DEAL EVERY PUBLISHING DEAL EVERY MERCH DEAL EVERY TOURING DEAL EXCEPT FOR DRAKE’S DEALS," said Kanye on socials. "JUST KIDDING ... I LOVE DRAKE TOO ... ALL ARTIST MUST BE FREE." Boosie Badazz saw the message and was seriously fed up, saying: "@kanyewest WHY U CAN'T KEEP DRAKE OUT YO MOUTH BRA IM GO SAT IT #stophatin #stophating smh. YOU SHOW STR8 JEALOUSY N YOU AINT EVEN GOTTA DO THAT. U RICH RICH N***A SMH." The message was re-posted by DJ Akademiks, and Drake even "liked" the post. Boosie is re-visiting that decision in his latest interview with Vlad TV, standing by his words. "Where'd I lie? I was gonna say it three weeks earlier," said Boosie about his tweet. "But, you know, I was like, is the world gonna keep on letting this dude just pick on this dude. [Drake] don't say shit back, I'm like damn! The world talkin' bout everything, what about him just keep saying this man's name? And I didn't like that. I don't like when n***as-- I feel like he was picking on dude. That's just how I've been my whole life. I done took n***as that been picked on and made 'em steppers. And made 'em not to be played with. I don't like that. Dude keep on fucking with dude, what is it!? Somebody knows, I don't know. So I said it. I wasn't trying to unlike Kanye West for it. I was just unliking him for being a hater on Drake. He's probably not a hater towards the world but he's a Drake hater. I'mma say that." Marcus Ingram/Getty Images Boosie goes on to say that he thinks Kanye only ran for President for clout, also referencing his Sunday Service performance where he walked on water: "I feel like Kanye be doing a lot of that shit for clout, you know what I'm saying? You walking on water... Are you gonna support Jesus or you gonna be turning into him? Which one you gone be? You gone give him his glory or you gone [make a] mockery of him and turn into him? Come on, bro. I don't speak on it too much but I don't believe him as far as all that stuff." What do you think of Boosie's take on Kanye? View the full article
