  1. G Herbo has reportedly turned himself in following allegations that he was involved in a federal fraud case. It was reported on Wednesday night (December 2) that G Herbo was a suspect in a $1.5 million federal fraud case that has spanned the last four years. Herbo and his team reportedly used fraudulent information and fake credit cards to make luxurious purchases, which ran over $1 million. The rapper and his team are accused of fraudulently renting private jets, luxurious rental cars, vacations, and two designer dogs. A new report via TMZ states that on Thursday afternoon (December 3), G Herbo, born Herbert Wright III, turned himself in with the feds regarding this fraud case. Prince Williams/Getty Images Herbo's representative has spoken out about the allegations, saying: "He [G Herbo] maintains his innocence and looks forward to establishing his innocence in court. Herbo has legal representation in Massachusetts via Prince Lobel, whose team has reached out to the US Attorney’s office in Massachusetts to make arrangements for Herbo's appearance. G Herbo will appear in Massachusetts whenever he is required either in person or via Zoom." The 14-count indictment reportedly includes manager Antonio "T-Glo" Strong, rapper Joseph "Joe Rodeo" Williams, and alleged co-conspirators Steven Hayes Jr., Demario Sorrells, and Terrence Bender. 2. Kyle Kuzma was a major part of the Los Angeles Lakers' young core just a few years ago although, with the additions of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, it's clear that Kuzma has had a bit of a diminished role. Regardless, Kuzma has the talent to produce at high levels when he wants to and as a result, he has been a key part of the Lakers' success, especially when it comes to winning a championship. Sure, some fans might like to clown on him, but he's still an effective player. Kuzma is currently in the midst of trying to get a new contract with the Lakers and so far, it seems like he wants a lot of money. Unfortunately for him, the Lakers have been dishing out a lot of money over the past few days and Kuzma might get left behind. According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Kuzma had two words when asked about a potential contract: "We'll see." These certainly aren't the words of someone who is confident that they will have an expensive new contract in the not-so-distant future. Kuzma has been a part of trade rumors as of late, and there is still a possibility Rob Pelinka has something up his sleeve before the season starts. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story, as we will be sure to keep you informed. Jevone Moore/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images View the full article
  3. Finally, some good news! After being in the ICU since mid-November, Jeremih will finally be released from the hospital tomorrow after a scary battle with COVID-19. The singer has had people praying for him for weeks, including 50 Cent, Chance the Rapper, and many more, as it looked like Jeremih was struggling to improve after testing positive for coronavirus. He was in the ICU on a ventilator, which is never a good sign. Thankfully, he's doing much better, with Chance the Rapper providing a much-needed update today. Gabe Ginsberg/Getty Images "I AM FILLED WITH PRAISE RIGHT NOW I JUST HEARD MY BROTHER JEREMIH’S VOICE ON THE PHONE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ALMOST A MONTH," excitedly tweeted Chance. "HE WILL BE OUT THE HOSPITAL TOMORROW WE GIVE ALL GLORY TO THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME." He went on to thank all of the doctors that helped Jeremih, as well as everybody that prayed. "Thank you to the medical staff at northwestern and thank you to everyone who held him up in prayer even when it seemed so grim," added Chance. "We are a testimony." It comes as such a relief to read Chance's tweets, especially after going several days without any updates on Jeremih's health. We can't wait to hear from the artist when he's feeling good again. 4. New Gibbs alert! In between all the tomfoolery on his social media accounts, Freddie Gibbs has officially given his blessing to Brian "B.Dot" Miller to release his long-awaited freestyle over Bobby V's classic record "Tell Me". Over a year ago, Miller teased the record, threatening to leak it and deal with the consequences. Nothing came of that but, fortunately, the freestyle is seeing the light of day, exclusively released via Miller's Art Of Facts podcast. The song sees Gangsta Gibbs in his element, spitting rhymes over the 2005 classic, which many wouldn't peg to be Gibbs' style. Still, he manages to snap over it, giving us some much-needed new content from the well-respected emcee. Listen to the new freestyle below and read about Gibbs' most recent diss against DJ Akademiks here. 5. Cincinnati Bengals fans were left in a state of shock just a couple of weekends ago as Joe Burrow went down with what looked to be an absolutely devastating knee injury. Burrow had fallen awkwardly after a hit in the pocket, which led his knee to bend in ways it's simply not meant to. Eventually, Burrow was carted off the field and evaluated for the extent of the damage. In the end, it was revealed that Burrow had suffered structural damage to his knee, as well as an MCL and ACL tear. Today, the Bengals gave their fans a positive update on Burrow's condition as they revealed that the quarterback underwent successful surgery. Now, Burrow is expected to make a full recovery and if everything goes according to plan, perhaps he could be back in time for some games next season. The Bengals rookie QB was having a solid campaign, although the rest of the Bengals were struggling to gather momentum. At times, Burrow was left exposed in the pocket, and his own O-line turned out to be his biggest enemy, as shown in his latest injury. Hopefully, Burrow experiences a speedy recovery and can get back out on the field sooner rather than later. Randy Litzinger/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images View the full article

  8. Authorities in New Jersey are investigating the senseless shooting death of rising rapper Triple Beanz. It's been reported that last Friday (November 27), Tripple Beanz, real name Corey Thompson, was in Newark when he was gunned down in broad daylight. The rapper was around the 300 block of Avon Avenue in the bustling city when Beanz is seen in surveillance footage walking toward his parked car. Suddenly, two masked men jump out of an SUV, walk across the street, and open fire on the unsuspecting 29-year-old. After unloading a number of shots, Beanz falls and rolls into the street. One of the suspects reportedly looked as if he wanted to make sure that Beanz was dead so, at close range, he fired the final shot into his head. The killers then ran off as the shocking altercation stunned bystanders. "So lost for words... Our hearts are hurting bad here at DFG," wrote DFG (Destined For Greatness) Recording Studio in an Instagram tribute. "Beanz man. A superstar in the making and more importantly family here. Genuinely was tryna change his life around. This was a man who WORKED and had SO MUCH TALENT. This whole thing is so f*cked. Tripple Beanz, we love you man and your legacy will forever live on through us and your music." It's reported that no arrests have been made, and if investigators do have any persons of interest, those names haven't been shared with the public. Earlier this year, Tripple Beanz worked with Fetty Wap on his single, "Let's Get It" and you can check out the music video for the track below along with a few posts from the late rapper. We offer our sincerest condolences to Corey Thompson's loved ones. [via][via] View the full article
  9. The saga continues. On Wednesday (December 2), Larsa Pippen posted a cryptic message to her Instagram Story suggesting that the rumors that have been floating around about her weren't completely true. This week, photos surfaced showing the 46-year-old estranged wife of basketball legend Scottie Pippen hand-in-hand with 24-year-old Minnesota Timberwolves baller Malik Beasley. After the memes poured in, Malik's wife, Montana Yao, shared her surprise on social media. "This is wild y’all I’m seeing it for the first time just like y’all," Yao wrote on her Instagram Story. Soon, Larsa was pegged as a side piece who was ruining a marriage, but according to Hollywood Unlocked, Malik and his wife haven't been together for months. The outlet states that their "source" claims that contrary to reports that Montana hired a divorce lawyer after seeing Malik's photos with Larsa, the basketball player is the one who has been seeking a divorce from his wife. "After talking for some time, Larsa and Malik bonded over their pending divorces," the outlet reports. Malik, who recently signed a $60 million contract with the Timberwolves, shares a child with Yao. He has remained silent through the ongoing social media controversy but Larsa continues to be vilified by the public. [via] View the full article
  10. In 2009, Ice-T sat down for an interview and said, "I opened the door for gangsta rap and 50 Cent closed it." It doesn't look as if he's changed his mind in the last 11 years because when he caught up with Unique Access Ent, he doubled down on his sentiments. The rap legend has nearly four decades in the game and has seen its shifts of transitions and trends, and according to Ice-T, rappers are no longer as threatening or scary as they used to be, thus making the gangsta rap scene almost invisible. "To me, the last gangster rapper was 50 Cent, because to me, he embodied that image. You know, that 'I don't give a f*ck,'" said Ice-T. "50 Cent had you really believe you didn't wanna f*ck with him. I heard 50 Cent when he was beefing with Fat Joe and he was like, 'Fat Joe, I'm right down the street. It's real hard to find a n*gga when you know he got a gun, ain't it.'" The rapper laughed at the remark. "I'm like, 'Okay!'" Jamie McCarthy / Staff / Getty Images Ice-T clarified that he named Fif as the last real gangsta rapper because 50 Cent is the last one he believed. "I think now, the new trap rappers, you know, they convince me they can get high, they convinced me maybe that they can sell a little drugs, but they don't scare me," said the rap icon. "I think if you a gangsta rapper, you scare me a little bit. I don't think there's no new people that do it." He mentioned Kendrick Lamar "who keeps a nice little hood edge" and added that he would include The Game with his 50 Cent mention. "Game is apart of G-Unit, but once that movement happened, I don't know," he continued. "They do the Drill rap out of Chicago and stuff like that, youngsters and stuff, but I don't know. That's just from me." KMazur / Contributor / Getty Images "We scared the world so quickly, but then when Eminem did it they were like, 'Okay,'" he said. "Now, people are kind of conditioned. It's not like when [Ice] Cube came out and said, 'Crazy motherf*cker named—,' what the f*ck?! Who are these motherf*ckers, like yo! Now, everybody's like, 'Okay, you're gonna Crip walk and dance and sh*t.' It's not as threatening now." The conversation sparked another name for Ice-T. "You know who the last gangsta rapper was? Bobby Shmurda," he said of the incarcerated rapper. "But that's when keeping it real goes wrong... They were bar for bar snitching on themselves." This interview is full of gems from Ice-T, so make sure to watch this one from beginning to end to hear what else he had to say about the rap game. [via] View the full article
  11. After having an emotional year following the 2019 murder of his aunt in a drive-by shooting in his hometown of Detroit, Tee Grizzley has had much to celebrate in these recent months. It was back in October when the rapper shared on social media that his brother, Marcellus Wallace, had been released from prison after serving five years for robbery. We previously reported on Grizzley's update as he posted a photo with Marcellus with the caption, "GO TELL MY BROTHER WELCOME HOME!!!" That wasn't the only family freedom that Tee Grizzley had to look forward to, as he returned to Instagram on Wednesday (December 2) with more good news. Grizz posted a smiling FaceTime photo with his mother and shared, "First my brother Now My Momma Home!!! God Goodlooking You The Greatest!" His mother, Latoya Perry, was reportedly sentenced to 15 years in prison for drug trafficking. Meek Mill, who has been actively working on behalf of criminal justice and prison reform, slid in Grizz's comments to show his support. With all of this happening in the holiday season, we can only imagine the great things Tee Grizzley has lined up for his loved ones. He's already shared photos with his brother where the siblings are iced out in new jewelry and luxury 'fits. Check out a few moments with Grizz and his fam below. View the full article
  12. The battle rap arena is a whole different ballgame than the mainstream scene, and there are only select artists who can thrive in that space. There are only a few rappers who float back and forth between the two stages, and in a recent appearance on Math Hoffa's My Expert Opinion, Noreaga chatted with the hosts about how showmanship is the cornerstone of battle rap. "Like Joe Budden. I believe that Joe has the lyrics, but when stood up there, 'Y'all I'm not gonna be quiet,' he lost! That's not battle rap," Noreaga recalled as he spoke about a previous match-up. "Again, Joe is my friend. It's the showmanship." He added, "It's about the showmanship and that's something, unfortunately, in battle rap, you can't teach. That's a experience." The rapper was met with a bit of resistance as there were others who chimed in that showmanship may be a quality that some artists can build and strengthen. Michel Linssen / Contributor / Getty Images "For a seasoned artist that has been twenty years in the game as a artist, it's hard for that man to go back and [battle]," N.O.R.E. retorted. "And I think Eminem lyrically could beat a lot of people but I think the showmanship is going to kill him, bro." Considering Eminem's roots in rap begin with battle rap, many didn't agree that Em would struggle if he decided to return. You can check out Noreaga speaking about battle rap below. 13. Are R&B fans about to get the Verzuz they've been asking for? It was back in July in the thick of the Verzuz craze when Keyshia Cole began to put a bit of playful pressure on Ashanti about joining together on the series. During DMX and Snoop Dogg's appearance on the show, Keyshia Cole hopped in the comments and asked Ashanti "was good," an acknowledgment that some believed was a slight challenge. Soon, Keyshia returned as she reposted a fan who wrote, "@Ashanti do the Verzuz with @KeyshiaCole & stop f*cking playing we wanna cry !" Johnny Nunez / Contributor / Getty Images During a chat with her good friend and collaborator Fat Joe, Ashanti said that if a Verzuz with Keyshia Cole was something that fans wanted to see, she would be open to it. We're not sure if Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have made that happen, but Keyshia shared on Instagram that she's in line to make an appearance. The "Love" singer shared a selfie and in the caption, she wrote, "How are you guys LONG TIME NO HEAR!!! #Versuz BATTLE OTW." People began flooding her comments with their guesses as to who Keyshia Cole would be facing off against. Of course, Ashanti's name was in the mix, but other contenders were Fantasia, K. Michelle, and Teyana Taylor. Keyshia didn't confirm her opponent so we'll have to wait and see what the Verzuz gods have come up with for this. View the full article

  15. Just 24 hours after news circulated that Casanova had been indicted for gun anf drug trafficking charges related to a RICO case, it's reported that G Herbo has found himself in trouble with the law, as well. The Chicago rapper was recently named as one to watch by Forbes after being named in their "30 Under 30" list, and on Wednesday (December 2), it was shared that Herbo had been charged in a million dollar case. Noel Vasquez / Stringer / Getty Images We previously reported on the scandal that allegedly involves members of G Herbo's crew. Authorities claim that in the course of four years, five people, including the rapper, used stolen identifications to charge over $1 million worth of goods and services: limosines, private jets, luxury items, and more. The 14-count indictment includes charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. Antonio “T-Glo” Strong, Herbo's manager and promoter, is accused of being the "ring leader." Specifically, G Herbo is accused of being complicit to the crimes and is said to have received two designer dogs purchased with stolen money. He also reportedly enjoyed luxury vacations that were paid for with the stolen IDs. In a statement shared with multiple news sources, the rapper's management, Machine Entertainment Group, shared this statement: "G Herbo has been charged with several offenses in Massachusetts, however, he maintains his innocence and looks forward to establishing his innocence in court. 16. It's been a rough week for Larsa Pippen. The former wife of legendary basketball player Scottie Pippen has been taking hits on social media after photos of her walking arm-in-arm with 24-year-old Minnesota Timberwolves baller Malik Beasley made the rounds. The 46-year-old former reality star has been linked to a few high profile men since her divorce, but this one caused controversy not only because of their age difference but due to the fact that Beasley's reported wife, Montana Yao, shared that she was blindsided by the paparazzi's photos. People have been waiting to hear what Larsa has to say following Yao's reaction, and on Wednesday (December 2), Pippen resurfaced with a note. "Don't always trust what you see on social media," Larsa penned on her Instagram Story. "Even salt looks like sugar." She didn't offer up an explanation about the pictures with Malik and her response only caused the conversation regarding the images to reignite. Larsa's Story comes on the heels of a screenshot that also surfaced online that showed that just a few weeks ago, Malik was on her Instagram page leaving some flirtatious comments. Meanwhile, there have been reports that Montana Yao has sought legal counsel and has begun divorce proceedings. Malik recently inked a $60 million contract with the Timberwolves. No, the rap legend won't be suiting up for a spar, but according to Triller co-owner Ryan Kavanaugh, Snoop has teamed up with the platform to produce a professional boxing league called "The Fight Club." "It's a league-owned by Proxima, which is the parent company to Triller and Snoop, and this was the first of many, many events," Kavanaugh told TMZ Sports. Snoop is co-owner of the new league and will also be instrumental in booking both fighters and music guests. "The Fight Club" has a main event coming up that is said to be big-time, but Kavanaugh was tight-lipped about what the public can expect. 18. There have been hints that Romeo Miller had a special someone in his life, but only recently were those rumors confirmed. Over the years, when people heard Romeo's name involved in conversations about romance or relationships, Angela Simmons was somehow involved. The former friends looked to be flirting around the possibility of locking things down for some time, especially on their reality series Growing Up Hip Hop. However, the world watched as their friendship unraveled and both parties made it clear that there was no interest to move forward even as acquaintances. Angela has shown off her relationship with 33-year-old boxer Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs in recent months, and Romeo followed suit and shared a loved up Thanksgiving holiday photo of himself and his girlfriend Drew Sangster. "Thankful I accepted that Thanksgiving invite, I could get use to this @drewsangster," he wrote in the caption to his series of photos. "Yesterday was a good day. #cuffingseason." Later, Romeo was questioned by Zonnique Pullins about his new lady while the two were on her Fox Soul show. "Y'all better accept them holiday invites baby, that's all! I've been single-single for like, four years," Miller said. "And I told God, no matter how good I think someone is, I'll let Him reveal what's good for me. My prayer always consists of a clear sign since I'm so aggressive, that Leo in me. I knew I had to be still and observant." He added that he's the type of man to go the extra mile when he's interested in a woman, but he was looking for someone who would do the same for him. "Drew, we've been cool for a long time but after sending me a book to read each month during the pandemic, a handwritten letter of 138 reasons of why I'm happy I simply met you, and that Thanksgiving dinner—I think that was pretty clear. That was my sign, at least to me." As much as he's ready to enjoy his budding relationship, he is also moving with care. "Growing up in this industry I understand the importance of having my privacy," he said. "Especially when it comes to dating. So, with that being said goddammit, I know you're my family, but that's all y'all get!" Check out the full explanation below. View the full article

  21. He's a man of many talents, including training a dog to give him a few ad-libs. The tragic youth of DMX has been well-documented as the rap icon has openly spoken about the neglect and abuse he endured as a child. When he was a teen, DMX took comfort in walking the streets of Yonkers, New York in the evenings, often caring for the stray dogs that were also looking for love and friendship. The rapper's connection to man's best friend has been a staple throughout his barking career, and Murda Mook recently recounted a battle where DMX used his furry friend as his hype man. In an episode of Drink Champs, Murda Mook shared the tale. "I'm gon' give you a story," Mook began. "DMX, real sh*t, I watched DMX... He lived around our hood... He had his dogs. So, he battling on the corner, mind you, battling all the n*ggas around him." Murda Mook impersonated DMX's raspy delivery of a line where he said, "Beware of my dog, he might bite you." According to Mook, right on cue, the dog barked immediately after the bar. "The dog growled and he's like, 'Chill ma, let me get 'em.'" The Drink Champs crew erupted at the conclusion of the story because it seems unbelievable, but if someone could pull that off, it would be Dark Man X. Check out the clip below. View the full article

  25. Before they shocked fans by uniting on "ISIS," Joyner Lucas and Logic were two rappers at odds. A cornerstone of rap is the genre's ongoing beefs between artists that often result in some of our favorite hits, however, it can also end tragically. It's good to see that Lucas and Logic were able to put their animosity behind them, and in a recent interview, Joyner Lucas admitted that the crux of his anger toward the Bobby Tarantino emcee was rooted in jealousy. Taylor Hill / Contributor / Getty Images "Honestly, it was very strange," admitted Lucas. "It really was. I think I was jealous of him. But I think—the reason why I say that is because I felt like where he was at at that time was where I wanted to be so much. Like damn, I wish I was here, you know what I mean? It took, bro—I had called that man because I had an epiphany, right? I had got to a certain place in which people started expecting things of me and people started just, expecting that I just do sh*t. People I didn't really know like that. And I lost a lot of people and it clicked." Joyner Lucas realized that the things he accused Logic of were now happening to him. "I know how it feels and it sucks," the rapper continued. Lucas decided to hit up Royce Da 5'9" to facilitate a conversation with Logic because he needed to set things straight. "As soon as he picked up I was like, 'Look, don't even say nothing. I just want to tell you I apologize bruh. I'm going through some sh*t right now and I understand the reason why you felt how you felt.'" "I told him, straight up, I felt like at that time I was jealousy," added Lucas. "You was doing everything I wanted to do. You're dope. You're lyrical. You was ripping down tours and you had all these relationships with artists that I loved and respected. I really idolized you and I didn't even realize how much I did." Logic told him that he was speechless and allegedly told him that he was tearing up because the apology was so sincere. Lucas said his hostility toward Logic wasn't warranted and it took his own growth for it to be recognized. Check out Lucas's full explanation below and make sure to take a look at our article about Lucas and Logic's back and forths here: Joyner Lucas Vs. Logic Beef: A Timeline. View the full article
