  1. Clubhouse is the place to be, apparently. The buzzing app has been catching the attention of celebrities and influencers who've been using the voice-based chatrooms to chat with other folks with blue checkmarks. Everyone else, however, has taken notice of the app because these folks have been talking about it so much. The invite-only app has hosted the likes of Joe Budden and 21 Savage in the past but apparently, Drizzy has now joined the platform. Boi-1da hosted a beat battle on Clubhouse this weekend and Drake joined in on the action, alongside Cardo and more. However, there was something off about The Boy's profile. Not only did he identify as his character on Degrassi but he also didn't use his image. Instead, he opted to use a hilarious selfie from YK Osiris. It's unclear if the Jacksonville rapper took notice but we're still it was all in good fun. YK Osiris and Drake appear to have quite a solid relationship. During his episode of On The Come Up with HNHH, Osiris revealed that Jas Prince introduced him to Drake and they've hung out on a few occasions. However, it seems their relationship has blossomed since. Osiris previously challenged Drake to face-off against him in the boxing ring before backtracking. "Least you know your limits," was Drake's response. Peep Drizzy's Club House profile below. Still unsure of what Clubhouse is? Read our breakdown, "What Is Clubhouse? 2. It's not uncommon for K. Michelle to weigh in on the music industry. The powerhouse singer has had an established career for over a decade and takes her craft seriously. She's previously spoken out about the current state of R&B, sparking a discussion about its transformation from the classics of the past, and it seems that as she's been checking out new music once again, as there were some things that she had to get off of her chest today (November 30). "I'm so sick of y'all making a mockery of music," the singer wrote. "God gave everyone a certain gift. Everybody can't sing and lord knows everybody ain't rapper. Please playing In and destroying a gift that was given to heal the world is just sad and some should be embarrassed to call this a musical interpretation. Just my opinion while listening to some music." In the caption, she added, "It’s just truth. Be mad if you want. I could careless." Earlier this year, K. Michelle released her fifth studio album, All Monsters Are Human. There were only two guest features on the record: Kash Doll and City Girls. They made appearances on the album's lead single "Supahood" and the record went on to peak at No. 3 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart. Check out K. Michelle's message below. 3. Despite concerns over COVID-19, millions of people gathered together for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Whether they were sharing a meal with family and friends or hitting up the club scene, images and videos of people maskless and partying have flooded social media. Reginae Carter celebrated her 22nd birthday in Atlanta at a packed, star-studded party, and on the eve of Thanksgiving, Lil Baby turned up at the Spire Nightclub in Houston, Texas. The city's mayor, Sylvester Turner, spoke with ABC13 News about Lil Baby's event and he wasn't happy with videos circulating showing the concert's crowd without masks as they were standing close to one another. "It's very disturbing," said the Mayor. "The way I look at it, it's quite selfish on their part." "There are many businesses and managers that are doing the right thing, and I commend them," Turner continued. "But there are some who are simply ignoring the healthcare precautions and the protocols." The news outlet reached out to the owners of Spire, who also operate other nightclub hotspots in Houston, for a statement about hosting parties during a pandemic. In a response via text they wrote, "We were below our legal occupancy. Every night we deal with keeping people socially distant. Once Lil Baby (Wednesday night's headliner) started to perform, people got out of their seats and rush towards the front area, so we had to cut the concert short." Various cities across the United States have implemented new stay-at-home orders that mirror the lockdown mandates from earlier this year. [via] View the full article
  4. It's not every day that we get new music from 50 Cent but whenever it could serve as cross-promotion for one of the many shows he's producing, you better believe he'll seize the opportunity. As previously previewed on Twitter, 50 Cent slid through with the official theme music for Power spin-off series Raising KANAN. Titled "Part Of The Game," the rapper teams up with NLE Choppa and Riley Lanezz for the single which brings some throwback South Side vibes. 50 Cent's back on his hustler shit while he trades verses with Choppa over some soulful East Coast production. Though there hasn't been a date announced for Raising KANAN, 50 Cent and co. are gearing up for the mid-season debut of Power Book II: Ghost this Friday, December 6th. Peep the latest release from 50 Cent below. Available on his Instagram page. What do you think of "Part Of The Game?" Quotable Lyrics Two Cuban links, just like I'm Tity Boi Ride around yo city, boy Two-tone boogers up in my thang just like a Chips Ahoy Mo' money, mo' problems, got my feelin' like I'm Diddy, boy Biggie, boy, now you see why these hoes get jiggy for 'em View the full article
  5. 9th Wonder knows a thing or two about crafting quality music. Since first gaining notoriety in the early two-thousands, 9th has been a key contributor producing for Jay-Z, Destiny's Child, Sean Price, Lloyd Banks, Obie Trice, Drake, Ludacris, Rapsody, Big K.R.I.T, Kendrick Lamar, Westside Gunn, Anderson .Paak, and Busta Rhymes. In fact, some fans might even name him among the game's most accomplished beatmakers, a crucial preserver of the classic hip-hop sound. As such, his opinion on all such matters carries a certain weight. Paul Morigi/Getty Images Today, 9th came through to issue a massive statement, raising the bar for R&B greatness and giving one of the genre's classic projects the respect he feels it deserves. The album in question is Mary J. Blige's My Life, which he confidently (and emphatically) to be the greatest R&B album of the past twenty-six years. And with the project having only recently celebrated its twenty-sixth birthday yesterday, it's clear that 9th has been keeping it on steady rotation. It should be noted that 9th has actually collaborated with Mary J, having laced "Good Woman Down" off her seventh studio album The Breakthrough. Given how fond he is of her debut, it must have been quite the honor to work with the legendary singer. Back when My Life originally dropped in 94', the project was produced in-near entirety by the tandem of Chucky Thompson and Sean "Puffy" Combs. Check out his post below, and sound off in the comments if you believe that he's correct in his assessment: is Mary J. Blige's My Life the best album of the past twenty-six years? 6. Following the release of the second deluxe edition of his album ELE 2 a couple of weeks ago, Busta Rhymes wasted no time delivering fans a jaw-dropping music video for his single, "Boomp!," one of the four additional tracks on the project. He first released a trailer for the video yesterday on Instagram with the caption:"GLOBAL MOVIE PREMIERE OF #BOOMP DIRECTED BY THE DRAGON & @bennyboom." The stunning visual, directed by Benny Boom, starts out on the balcony of a mountainside mansion in the clouds — complete with a rooftop pool, and luxury vehicle. As the shot pans out, it's evident that this is no ordinary mansion. It's quite literally in the sky. Furthermore, the rest of the video seems to take place in what I can only assume is Busta's lavish imagination brought to life — a perfect pairing for the vibe of the song. With the help of CGI, he roams around his movie-esque mansion, surrounded by beautiful women, feeding asparagus to dolphins while an impossibly large, silver sculpture of himself raps the song lyrics in between scenes. Around a minute and 30 seconds in, the video introduces us to his massive yacht — reminiscent of something Batman might own — that he uses to whisk away one lucky lady at sunset. 7. With his Iambek-remixed "Roses" still on heavy rotation and his brand new album While The World Was Burning officially out for release, SAINt JHN has all the reason in the world to pat himself on the back. Yet he remains resolved to keep working, taking a moment to chop it up with Ebro Darden on Apple Music. During their conversation, JHN opened up about working with Kanye West on "Pray For Me," an emotional highlight from his recent effort. "I started this one when Nipsey passed, literally the day Nipsey passed I made this record," explains JHN, dating it back to March 31st, 2019. "I was so moved I didn’t know what to do. And when I played it for Ye, he was like, absolutely. I played it for him in Wyoming, and as soon as he was done, we shoot a Gap campaign and he says pull up the record, and he’s behind me recording it while I’m shooting the campaign for the Gap joint.” In addition to that, he also reveals that Kanye intends on putting together a stacked collaboration album, though details remain fuzzy on that particular front. "Ye wants to produce an album, me, him and Buju together," he reveals. "Ye wants to executive produce, maybe he’ll do the next one or the one after that.” Though it would certainly be interesting, given how unpredictable Kanye's timetable has become, don't be surprised if this one lands on the back burner for a minute. Still, it's cool to see where the legendary producer's head is at. Check out JHN's full conversation with Ebro Darden for Apple Music below. 8. COVID-19 has been a massive issue for sports leagues around the world, as they try and figure out how to keep their operations going, without putting their players at risk. The NFL has been among those leagues and for the most part, their results have been varied. Numerous times this season, the league has had to postpone games due to COVID outbreaks. They have also had to fine teams for not respecting the proper protocols that have been put into place. Now, the league is having issues with the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers. Both teams were supposed to play on Thanksgiving, but due to COVID outbreaks, the game was pushed to Sunday. Following more confirmed cases, the game was suspended until Tuesday night, and now, it has been pushed again, this time until Wednesday. Both teams have been adding and subtracting players from the league's COVID-19 reserve list, and it doesn't seem like either team has the situation under control. Ravens superstar Lamar Jackson is also on the COVID list, and this latest decision by the league could ensure his inclusion in Wednesday night's game. Stay tuned for updates on this situation as we will be sure to bring them to you. Mark Goldman/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images View the full article
  9. Sorry to make you feel super old, but Grand Theft Auto V has been out for over seven years. It's a hard pill to swallow, I know. Come to think of it, we're way overdue for Grand Theft Auto VI. Nonetheless, it seems that there are still some details from the most recent GTA instalment that we may have missed — Most recently brought to our attention: The fact that Tyler, The Creator is more than a rapper. He also plays the voice of a random pedestrian in what is quite possibly one of the most popular video games of all time. Obviously, this is a very easy and not necessarily significant ingredient to overlook in the grand scheme of things. We were likely far more distracted by Franklin, Michael, and Trevor's story mode antics. Hell, even Chop the rottweiler had a bigger role than Tyler did. But it does seem like an Easter egg that should have surfaced way before the seven-year mark. Tyler, The Creator found this recent realization to be amusing, retweeting one fan's reaction along with a recording of the evidence. Naturally, this started a domino-effect and it wasn't long before everyone was clueing in. In the clip, Tyler's character — a man wearing a white tank top, holding a 40 of beer in his hand — can be heard saying: "Damn straight. Aye, you like potato salad? ‘Cause I like potato salad, n*gga." "Aye, I'm sick of these n*ggas thinking families ain't real, n*gga," he continues, adding: "Oh, you want me to beat yo a**, huh?" 10. There isn't a rapper out right now that's like Rico Nasty. She's pushing the boundaries both in music and fashion and it appears that we're just about ready to receive the long-awaited album, Nightmare Vacationthat she's been teasing for a while. Earlier this month, she revealed the project would be arriving on December 4th and days before its release, she's officially given fans a taste of what to expect on the project. Josh Sisk/For The Washington Post via Getty Images Rico hit the 'Gram today with a glimpse of the tracklist for the project that includes a few heavy hitters. As expected, Gucci Mane and Don Toliver appear on the tracklist for the song, "Don't Like Me." Along with those two rappers, Aminé also makes an appearance on "Back & Fourth." Rico also hosts a women-only posse cut for the "Smack A Bitch (remix)" with Sukihana, Rubi Rose, and Ppcocaine. The project is sixteen tracks in total with the inclusion of the bonus track. Nightmare Vacation will solidify Rico Nasty's position in the game. She's received some heavy co-signers over the years including from Cardi B who declared the "Smack A Bitch" rapper as the rapper who's "up next." Juicy J also revealed that he's produced some music for Rico, though it's unclear if we'll hear their collab on her new project. Check out the tracklist below. What song are you most excited to hear? 11. Patrick Mahomes is easily one of the biggest athletes on the planet right now thanks to his immense success with the Kansas City Chiefs. He is in just his third year as the team's starting quarterback and with a Super Bowl to his name, it already looks like Mahomes could be on his way back to yet another championship appearance. His play has earned him a contract worth more than $500 million and his endorsements continue to pile up. Among these endorsements is a deal with Adidas, where he is now getting his own sneaker. In the images below, you can find the Adidas UltraBoost Mid "Pat Mahomes" which comes in a gorgeous shade of burgundy. This dark shade of red is found all over the Primeknit upper which also has some white and black sprinkled throughout. Overall, it's a clean colorway that is a great first impression for the line of Mahomes-themed sneakers that will surely be coming out over the next little while. Stay tuned for release details on this sneaker, as we will surely be receiving more updates in the near future. In the meantime, let us know what you think of this shoe in the comments below. 12. When one makes a claim to GOAT status, as Polo G so confidently did upon the release of his 2020 effort The GOAT, one can never slack off in the pursuit of such an ambitious effort. And while many have already taken notice of the young rapper as one of the new generation's rising stars, it would appear that Polo G is only just beginning his ascent. Case in point, he's already taken to the studio to cook up some new music, presumably for his upcoming third studio album. Following the revelation that he was locked in the studio with Young Thug, Polo G has since confirmed another batch of high profile guest appearances. This time, Polo was seen hitting the lab with Offset, Quavo, and Murda Beatz -- unfortunately, Takeoff was not seen in the session, though that doesn't mean he wasn't present. In fact, all signs point to a Polo G and Migos collaboration, so look for that once further details surrounding his new project begin to surface. In the meantime, Polo G has been active enough to retain attention. The lyricist recently came through to release his new single "Epidemic," though it's unclear as to whether or not it's intended to appear on his upcoming album. And there's always the possibility of catching him on a feature, though that's only if an artist is ready and willing to fork over his fee. Check out the pictures below, and sound off if you're looking forward to hearing another album from Polo G. View the full article
  13. Zion Williamson came into the NBA with a whole lot of hype and for the most part, he has lived up to that hype, at least whenever he is on the court. Unfortunately, a knee injury early on in his tenure with the New Orleans Pelicans forced him to miss a large chunk of his rookie season. Once Williamson got on the court, he was great but had to endure a minute restriction. Once the Pelicans got to the NBA bubble in Orlando, Williamson dealt with even more conditioning problems which led fans to believe there could be an issue at play. With the season just a few weeks away, it seems as though Williamson has turned the corner and is in fine shape. According to reporter Andrew Lopez, new Pelicans head coach Stan Van Gundy revealed on Monday that Williamson will not be under any restrictions and that he expects the young star to be 100 percent. This is great for the Pelicans and their fans, who have had to deal with some mediocrity over the last couple of years. Heading into this season, the Pelicans have a ton of promise and they are fully expecting Zion to be the nucleus of what's proven to be a young core. Stay tuned for more NBA updates, as we will be sure to keep you informed as the season draws closer. Stephen Lew/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images View the full article
  14. COVID-19 did not stop Reginae Carter from going out in style for her birthday last weekend in Atlanta. The 22-year-old reported to Instagram today (November 30) in a series of photos taken at her birthday party, sharing her three outfits of the evening, and thanking her boyfriend, YFN Lucci, for organizing the star-studded, '90s-2000s themed event. It came as a surprise to many fans who were still under the impression that Carter and Lucci were broken up. Back in April 2019, Carter announced that the two had split, and publicly swore off dating rappers indefinitely. Contrary to that, however, the pair were later spotted vacationing together and holding hands in early November 2020. Neither parties confirmed or denied being back together — until now that is. "Last night was mad real !! Thanks to my boyfriend for throwing me this amazing party," she captioned the post. "Thanks to my parents for the juvenile and Mannie connect (legendary ) and I wanna thank everybody who came and partied with me ! Y’all some real ones." We suspected that the two were dating again after Lucci wished Carter a happy birthday via his Instagram, sharing two photos of her to his feed with the caption: "HAPPY BDAY FINE A** GIRL." But Carter's post, calling him her "boyfriend" definitely confirms it. Carter also posted the three outfits she wore to her party — all perfectly in keeping with the aforementioned theme. 15. Over the course of the last decade, no two NBA players have been as dominant as Steph Curry and LeBron James. Between them, they have seven NBA championships and a combined 14 appearances in the NBA Finals. For four years straight, these two faced off in the NBA Finals, and while Curry won three of those matchups, there is no denying these two always come through with some entertaining head-to-head performances. Recently, Curry was asked about his rivalry with LeBron during an interview with Complex. While the Warriors superstar did admit to the rivalry existing, he also noted that he doesn't like getting caught up in rivalries as he feels like it makes him worse when it comes to playing against other teams. Simply put, Curry respects everyone equally. Liu Guanguan/China News Service/VCG via Getty Images "But I think at the end of the day, if you get caught up in that, you’re already at a disadvantage just because there’s so many other teams and other players at the top. And what Bron did in the Finals, or in the bubble season this year, and what he continues to do every year—it’s truly remarkable and unbelievable. I love that competition," Curry explained. Coming into this season, it's clear the Lakers will be the stronger team, although we're sure Curry and the Warriors will be looking to put up a strong fight. Hopefully, the entire season can go on as planned. [Via] View the full article
  16. Juice WRLD has been celebrated as one of the greatest songwriters of his generation-- which is an impressive feat because, from stories that his collaborators have told, the late 21-year-old never actually sat down and wrote songs... he just freestyled. Creativity and talent flowed through him, becoming one of the most established artists in recent years. The Chicago native's estate worked hard to release his first posthumous album Legends Never Die, which is one of the year's top-selling records, and they're doing something special for the artist's birthday as well. The late superstar would have turned twenty-two this week, celebrating his birthday on December 2. The Sagittarius worked extensively with a number of people, including Benny Blanco, so it's not a surprise that the two had some more in the stash ready to go for whenever the time was right. Benny just announced that tomorrow night, Juice WRLD's latest posthumous single, titled "Real Shit", will be out. It's presently unclear if the new track is part of something larger from Juice WRLD, whose team has revealed that several posthumous albums could be on the way. This could also just be a one-off way for fans to celebrate Juice's life and legacy. The late rapper passed away nearly one year ago, dying from a reported drug overdose on December 8, 2019. 17. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have perpetually been linked in dating rumors. They don't seem too keen on shutting down that talk either, most recently starring in a series of Q&A videos for GQ and Vogue. The two have been linked together in gossipy headlines ever since they were spotted out a couple of times after Rih's break-up with Hassan Jameel. They have not confirmed whether or not they're actually dating but, according to recent reports out of New York, they were back together as they visited a popular hotspot with friends over the weekend. Stephane Cardinale - Corbis/Corbis via Getty Images According to Page Six, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were seen at the Beatrice Inn on Saturday night, discreetly sitting behind a curtained-off area. It's just the latest instance of them being spotted together in public, which re-inforces rumors that social media has happily run off with. Do you think they're together or are they just really good friends? Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images A$AP Rocky recently made headlines for his generosity on Thanksgiving, giving back to his old community. Rihanna was more critical of the holiday, updating her socials last week and sending her love to Indigenous communities that are often forgotten on Thanksgiving. She has also been promoting her latest Savage X Fenty offerings, posing for some new glamor shots and preparing another holiday promotion. [via] View the full article
  18. Kanye West's Yeezy brand has been immensely successful over the years and as a result, Kanye has become a billionaire. Perhaps the most popular shoe to come out of Yeezy thus far has been the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 which dropped all the way back during the Fall of 2016. It's a sneaker that has received a plethora of colorways over the past few years, although most sneakerheads are in agreement that the best colorways are those that came out during the silhouette's infancy. One of those offerings is the simple "Bred" model that everyone now knows and loves. Over the years, this colorway has received a few restocks, and soon, it will receive yet another. As you can see in the images below, the sneaker is covered in black Primeknit, all while red writing is present on the sides. It makes for a simple yet effective look that has led to some dope outfits during any season of the year. As for this latest restock, it is officially set to take place on Saturday, December 5th with pairs dropping on the Adidas app for $220 USD. Let us know whether or not you plan on copping a pair, in the comments below. Image via Adidas Image via Adidas Image via Adidas Image via Adidas View the full article
  19. Travis Scott has only released a handful of songs this year, including the recently-released "FRANCHISE" with Young Thug and M.I.A., as well as "THE SCOTTS" with Kid Cudi and "The Plan" for Christopher Nolan's Tenet. Despite his irregular release calendar, Travis managed to be one of the most impactful artists of the entire year, solely through his creative partnerships with some of the world's biggest companies. In a new profile for Forbes, Travis' recent marketing success with brands like McDonald's, Nike, Sony, and more are under the microscope as the publication looks to see how much the rapper is expected to earn from each deal, proving to the world that La Flame had one of the most successful years out of absolutely anybody on the money-making front. Mateusz Wlodarczyk/NurPhoto via Getty Images His most recently-announced deal with Sony for the PS5 is reported to have already netted the artist $1 million. However, when it's all said and done, he's looking at around $20 million from the deal, which could possibly end up including a co-branded console and a game designed by Travis. His McD's endorsement reportedly got him around $5 million. On the side, Travis released a bunch of merchandise to celebrate the collaboration, which actually tripled his earnings, making him about $15 million. As for Nike, Forbes estimates that his deal brings him about $10 million per year. Complex points out that the exposure he gets from Nike is priceless though, exponentially raising his value to other brands as he cements himself as a go-to for companies looking for a boost in sales. The feature also includes some bit about Travis' upcoming alcohol brand Cacti, more information about his forthcoming album Utopia, and more. [via] + [via] View the full article
  20. Jake Paul might be one of the most hated men on the internet but that hasn't stopped him from achieving as much as he can in a short amount of time. The multi-million dollar YouTuber has been entering the boxing world over the past couple of years and so far, he has seen immense success. Paul has won all three of his matches, including his most recent outing which was against the likes of Nate Robinson. Paul delivered a vicious knockout punch to Robinson's head and the internet hasn't stopped talking about it, ever since. While Paul's battle on Saturday looked easy, it's clear that the lead-up to the fight was actually filled with adversity. Taking to his IG yesterday, Paul revealed that he broke his nose during training, and it forced him to take a break from the ring. Despite this time off, he was still ready as ever on Saturday and ultimately took home the W. Since the fight, Paul has stated that he wants to battle it out against the likes of Conor McGregor although that probably isn't going to happen anytime soon. Paul's brother Logan says he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather which is also a pretty big stretch. Regardless, these brothers are relentless which is certainly something to admire even if you hate them as internet personalities. View the full article
  21. The Weeknd may not have been recognized at all during the GRAMMY Award nomination ceremony but he's getting his flowers from the rest of the world, with "Blinding Lights" spending a full year on the Billboard Hot 100 and extending its record as the longest-ever Top 10 hit. The Toronto-based recording artist is having his best-ever year, signing a deal to perform at the Super Bowl, having one of the top-selling albums of the year, and much more. He's been on one for the last week, calling out the GRAMMY Awards for royally snubbing him and failing to recognize him as one of the most important movers and shakers in the music industry for this year. Still, he's celebrating how his fans have embraced this new direction for him, reacting to a record-extending forty-first week in the Billboard Hot 100's Top 10 for "Blinding Lights". The track is officially spending its forty-first week in the Top 10, landing at #9 this week. It also marks a full year that the song has been on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, as it was released one year ago last week, staying on the chart each week for a full twelve months. That much is definitely grounds for high recognition... one would even say it's GRAMMY-worthy. Elsewhere on the chart, BTS makes a big debut this week by landing both their new album and the song "Life Goes On" at the #1 spots on the charts. 24kGoldn and iann dior have been bounced to #2 as a result. Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber also make a strong debut at #8 with their new collaboration "Monster." Congratulations to The Weeknd. This is impressive. View the full article

  23. With both rappers making their names in the streets of Chicago, Lil Reese and King Von have crossed paths in the last few years. They didn't necessarily always run in the same circles, but they did enjoy some time together before Von's tragic shooting death several weeks ago. Lil Reese remains pretty shaken up about what happened, but he's looking back on some of his finer moments with the rising star, posting a tribute to Von on Twitter. "LLV we real block stars who made it from same hood from nothing," said Lil Reese, who also grew up around O'Block. "Sorry I wasn’t dere wit you gang til infinity." The video attached shows Lil Reese hanging out with King Von and his boys. He counts money as Von peers at his phone in the background. As King Von's popularity continues to grow following his death, adult film star Teanna Trump is clearly a fan of the late rapper, citing his hit song "Took Her To The O" and tweeting: "Somebody take me to the O". A lot of men have offered to take Teanna on a tour of the neighborhood, but Lil Reese wants first dibs, responding: "wya we got you". Do you think Lil Reese might see his day with Teanna Trump? 24. Following Nate Robinson's loss to Jake Paul on Saturday, the NBA star was subjected to a bunch of memes that painted him in a negative light. The response to the loss shouldn't have come as much of a surprise when you consider just how savage the internet can be at times. So far, Robinson has been taking all of the jokes in stride and he noted that he will continue to take his L and move forward as necessary. Recently, former NBA player Gilbert Arenas came out in support of Robinson as he took to Instagram with a lengthy post that offered some encouraging words. Arenas urged Robinson to come back strong and to never let anything get him down. While this is a nice sentiment to share, Nick Young seemed to think it was funny as he took to Arenas' comments with a brutal rebuttal, reference a time in which Gil had a run-in with LeBron James. "Gil after bron tap yo chest and made you miss them 2 free throws we been waiting for you to bounce back lol," Young wrote in the replies. His comment was immediately well-received by basketball fans as they couldn't help but spam some laughing emojis at Arenas' expense. Young has had his own problems with being trolled. For instance, a man called him D'Angelo Russell during a trip to the supermarket last week. Needless to say, players around the NBA have been having a lot of fun these past few weeks. 25. DJ Akademiks has built his platform into one of the most successful brands in hip-hop and while he might be a controversial figure, he always thrived off of adversity. Since all the way back in 2017, Akademiks has been a Complex employee as he stars on the daily hip-hop talk show "Everyday Struggle." From Joe Budden to Star to Wayno, Akademiks has had a plethora of co-hosts alongside him, to varying degrees of success. The last few months have been a trying time for the show as Akademiks was suspended following some comments about Chrissy Teigen. Ak ultimately joked about being fired although in the end, he came back to the show and apologized for his words. Today, Akademiks took to his Twitch and addressed his audience, confirming what many had suspected for some time. As of mid-December, "Everyday Struggle" will cease to exist, all while Akademiks is permanently leaving Complex. Ak expressed gratitude for his time over at Complex and said he especially wants to thank Nadeska for the work she did as the show's moderator. The hip-hop commentator also spoke on Complex's handling of the Freddie Gibbs situation, saying that he felt like his own place of work wasn't showing him proper support. Akademiks also felt like he and Complex were going in different directions, making now the best time to leave. DJ Akademiks noted that he's known about this decision for a month but he wanted to wait until everything was finalized before saying anything. Moving forward, Akademiks will certainly have some new shows and media ventures up his sleeve. View the full article
