  1. Today marks the arrival of Forbes' annual "30 Under 30" list (peep last year's here), a collection of the year's most successful and influential people who happen to be younger than thirty years of age. And given how thoroughly hip-hop has come to steer the course of pop culture as a whole, it's entirely unsurprising to see a surplus of artists in the music section. In fact, it's entirely possible that some might even feel that the judges could have included even more rappers in the final tally, though it's possible they wanted to keep a relatively even playing field. 2020HHA/Getty Images via Getty Images Criteria for inclusion were outlined as follows: "To be eligible, candidates must be under age 30 as of December 31, 2019, not have appeared on a previous Under 30 list, and show their ability to propel the future of the music industry.” The official "30 Under 30 North America 2021" officially celebrates Doja Cat, Roddy Ricch, Murda Beatz, Brent Fayaiz, Polo G, G Herbo, Lil Baby, London On Da Track, and Saweetie. As the featured honoree, Roddy Ricch landed a lengthier feature, where he reflected on gaining twenty million dollars in a single year and investing back in his home city of Compton. "Investing in Compton just felt like my duty," he explains. As for where his money will be going, it's explained that Roddy will be investing in both real estate and starting "a foundation to teach financial literacy to residents in the city." For this batch of inductees, the panel of judges was made up of Taylor Swift, Warner Music Group creative officer Mike Caren, Jill Scott, and Nija Charles. Check out the full list here, and sound off in the comments if you think Forbes hit the nail on the head with their selection. Of course, it's entirely possible that a few snubs occurred -- where do you stand? View the full article
  2. "Tap In" rapper, Saweetie, took to her Instagram story on December 1 to shine light on, and show some love for all women in the music industry. The last two decades have been a painfully slow but monumental turning point for women in hip hop — a male dominated genre. But now more than ever might be considered a renaissance for female rappers, specifically. After Apple Music announced and released their annual "Rap Life" playlist, which included a banner featuring Saweetie, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and City Girls, Saweetie kindly took the time to let her fans know what gives women in music their edge over men, and what makes them so "magical." "Women are so magical," the "My Type" rapper wrote, explaining that a woman's versatile physical appearance and resilience in the face of adversity in the industry are unbeatable tools. "We give different looks, a variety of visual escapism through our creative videos and relentless hard work that the world doesn't see but we suck it up! Always putting our best heel forward," she added. "With a smile on our beat face!! Grateful to be apart of this era, can't wait for next year." Image via Saweetie Instagram The timing of Saweetie's post couldn't be more perfect, seeing as both Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion were just nominated for Grammys. Girl power, amirite? 3. Larsa Pippen is cut off from Kim Kardashian and her family after revealing that she dated Tristan Thompson before Khloé. Scottie Pippen's famous ex-wife also accused Kanye West of "brainwashing" Kim & Ko., claiming that the two often stayed up late at night talking about anything and everything. Now, she's in the market for some new friends, and she's starting off by grabbing herself a new man, seemingly dating Malik Beasley of the Minnesota Timberwolves. David Sherman/NBAE via Getty Images According to several sources including Bossip, there are photos floating around of Larsa Pippen, 46, and Malik Beasley, 24, holding hands during a recent outing. Considering the fact that Larsa is nearly double Malik's age, there are already significant red flags that have been drawn for this fresh couple. However, Larsa may not have been able to resist, considering the fact that Malik just signed a $60 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, guaranteeing him a bag for the next five years. The age gap isn't even the biggest of their hurdles as a possible couple. Malik Beasley has a pretty messy history, getting arrested on stolen property charges in September. He also was involved in a petty fight the year prior, which was reportedly over an Instagram model. David Crotty/Patrick McMullan via Getty Images Hopefully, Larsa and Malik can find love (if they're even actually dating) and can overcome everything that's already in their way. 4. Pornhub is the leading adult entertainment website, but they've also got a record label in case you weren't already aware. For Valentine's Day last year, Pornhub released their latest compilation album with the likes of Tekashi 6ix9ine, Blac Chyna, Lil Xan, MadeinTYO, Asian Doll, and more. The release made headlines because of the obvious raunchy content, including Blac Chyna detailing how she'd like to be satisfied in a spoken-word introduction. The porn website is officially back with yet another compilation project, grabbing an all-new cast of rappers and artists to comprise their brand new XXXMas album. It starts off with Young M.A's intro, which features Pornhub ambassador Asa Akira leaving a voicemail. The pair returns for the outro, which is titled "Stuff Our Stockings Santa". XXXMas features appearances from A$AP Ferg, who details a sexual encounter he had with a freaky woman on his tour bus, Sukihana, who comes through with everything she wants to do in the bedroom this holiday season, and Rubi Rose, who explains why she would describe herself to be a "Naughty Girl". The album features some holiday-type beats, but this definitely isn't the type of Christmas music that you'll want to throw on at the family gathering. What do you think of the new compilation? Tracklist: 1. Young M.A - Voicemail (Intro) 2. Sukihana - Ho 3. A$AP Ferg - Mistletoe 4. Rubi Rose - Naughty Girl 5. Mila J - Holiday Freak Shit 6. KenTheMan - Vixen 7. 5. Atlanta, by way of Michigan, rapper, singer, and producer, 21-year-old, Mario Judah, proved on this week's episode of HNHH & DJ Paul's Mafia Radio that he is a jack of all trades. The self-taught producer revealed that up until the very end of 2019, he hadn't even considered being an artist himself. Instead, he planned on honing in on his beat-making skills and continuing to work with up-and-coming artists. His objective, however, quickly changed when he realized how difficult it was to find an artist to match his work ethic, and ultimately turned his operation into a one-man show — becoming the producer and the artist himself. If you've ever had the privilege of listening to one of Judah's tracks, like "Die Very Rough" (below), then you're probably already aware of how truly unique his sound is. For someone to zero in on unmarked musical territory at just 21-years old definitely takes a certain amount of creativity and talent — the fact that Judah been doing it all on his own is even more impressive. The artist revealed that he started making beats when he was a teenager, and always planned on being more of a behind-the-scenes operative, rather than a front-and-center artist. "I was just making beats, trying to work with artists and everything like that," he said. "I got tired of working with artists who wasn't serious. I was trying to work with n*ggas, and n*ggas wasn't putting in no real work." Subsequently, Judah had a change in heart — instead of making beats for other artists, he began making beats for himself, unsure of his natural abilities. "I didn't even know I could sing," he admitted. When asked about his influences, Judah explained that rock music is his go-to genre, naming Breaking Benjamin, Five Finger Death Punch, and Pantera as a few of his inspirations. "I really love rock music," he noted. "Man, it ain't ever been meshed before," he claims of rock and hip hop. "I wanna mesh it. I wanna put 'em together." Do you agree with that statement? Check out the full interview above. View the full article
  6. Though Wu-Tang Clan are among the grimiest and grittiest groups the rap game has ever seen, they have been known to engage in some unexpected crossover events. The Clan previously united with Scottish band Texas for "Say What You Want," who performed with Method Man during the 1998 Brit Awards. Now, twenty-two years later, The Clan has once again reunited with the rock band for another new collaboration. This one finds The RZA and Ghostface Killah sliding through to wave the iron flag, as Tony Starks sets off the vibey anthem with some dexterous bars. "Ayo, the vision that I can reveal is so real," flexes Ghostface, comfortably in his bag. "Sail through Europe the boat is four mill." While it's not exactly the type of instrumental backing he tends to rap on, it's cool to see Ghost showcasing a bit of versatility. Likewise for RZA, who matches Ghost's flow with a verse of his own, despite going in a completely different direction thematically. Overall, it's an interesting track for the two Wu legends, and one that fans should check out -- especially those with an open mind. 7. This is either the beginning of the end for Moneybagg Yo and Ari Fletcher, or they're simply going through another rough patch in their relationship. After spending the last year together, it looks like Moneybagg Yo and Ari Fletcher might be calling it quits as a couple, taking a vital step in their rumored breakup and unfollowing each other on social media. They've had their fair share of toxic moments, including a few strange back-and-forth tweet-wars that probably should have been phone calls, but this most recent development is putting things in perspective for their shippers, who are now under the impression that there's not much of a future for the couple. This comes after Ari Fletcher was called out by her make-up artist on social media. The member of her glam squad had announced that she was flying to work with T.I. and Tiny Harris, which seemingly frustrated Ari, who was upset about a lack of exclusivity on the part of her friend. Her woes continue now as it looks like Moneybagg Yo could be splitting up with her. Do you think this is the end for them? Are you surprised that they didn't last much longer than a year? 8. Benny The Butcher has quickly become one of the rap game's favorite emcees, with many of his fellow lyricists holding his pen in the highest regard. Therefore, after learning that he had been shot in a robbery during a trip to a Dallas Wal Mart, many rappers were quick to check in on the Butcher's recovery. It wasn't long before Benny was resting his injured leg at Rick Ross' sprawling estate, enjoying the finest dinner party experience Renzel had to offer. Now, he recently took a moment to catch up with the Joe Budden Podcast, who reached out for a quick update. Prince Williams/Wireimage/Getty Images "No more Wal-Mart for you, buddy," advises Joe Budden, cutting straight to business. Benny laughs. "N**as told me I should start going to Target and shit." When asked about how he's been feeling these days, it's clear that Benny has been keeping his spirits up. "It's like I tell n***as, I really ain't feel Famous until I got shot," he reveals. "I been through the streets. I done took all kind of dope from n***as, I done did all shit to n***as, and they didn't shoot me until I became a rapper. So I realize I'm in a different arena and I gotta play that way." It's like I tell n***as, I really ain't feel Famous until I got shot. I been through the streets. I done took all kind of dope from n***as, I done did all shit to n***as, and they didn't shoot me until I became a rapper. So I realize I'm in a different arena and I gotta play that way. "I see myself as one thing and the world see me as a different thing," he continues. "Ain't no manual for this shit." When Budden asks if the shooting affected Benny on a mental level, the Butcher affirms. "Yes it do," he states. "It make you become somebody you don't want to be. Shit crazy. But fuck all that, I'm in good spirits." When Budden inquires about the recent dinner parties at the Renzel estate, Benny keeps it low key. "We just chillin' man. That's the biggest house I've ever been in. We in that motherfucker eating and smoking and kicking it." Mal takes a moment to ask Benny about Young Thug's recent Andre 3000 dismissal, prompting a thoughtful response from The Butcher. "I learned something that day," he states. "Our heroes are not everybody else's heroes. He obviously was inspired by other dudes and it went well for him. Our heroes are not everybody else's heroes." 9. Three days after NLE Choppa posted a preview of his collaboration with 50 Cent, the media mogul has shared the full song. Fif's Power series has dominated the airwaves for years, and as the mid-season premiere of Power II: Ghost inches closer to its December 6 release, the rapper is already teasing Power III: Raising Kanan. The third spin-off series is slated for release in 2021, but that hasn't stopped 50 Cent from stirring the hype. 10. As London On Da Track makes his exit from the drama brewing between the mothers of his children, Summer Walker and Eboni Ivorii continue to go at it online. After months of an on-again-off-again relationship, Summer recently confirmed rumors that she was pregnant with the producer's child. Throughout Summer and London's relationship, the mothers of his other children have come forward to publicly complain that he wasn't there for his kids, and while denials to the allegations were made, the women remained steadfast, even taking issue with Summer Walker. Prince Williams / Contributor / Getty Images Days ago, the award-winning singer revealed that she and London were having issues, calling him a "bum ass n*gga" and insinuating that he wasn't taking care of his responsibilities. Soon, Eboni Ivorii, one of the mother's of London's children, criticized Summer and some of her remarks, causing a full-on social media beef to erupt. On Monday (November 30), Summer took to her Instagram Story to share a few thoughts. "Mf's really worship money, das crazy, money over everything," she wrote. "Over yo friends yo family, yo kids, money over yo self. F*ck integrity, f*ck self love, self care, evolving, growing, healing as long as you got money? Weird concept to grasp." Eboni didn't miss a beat in attacking the singer. "Yu the first 2 call me and everybody broke. That's all yu good for all the time," she replied. "Now yu wanna b dramatic & want sympathy. B*tch please." She added," Dirty dusty musty dog." After Summer wrote that she didn't know how she would make it through this time, Eboni said, "Use that nose yu got to sniff your way out yu dirty dog." Check out the ongoing unfolding drama below. 11. They're considered two of the greatest rappers of all time, but Jae Millz recalled when Lil Wayne and Jay-Z were beefing over bars. The lyrical spat between the two artists was well documented, but Millz recently shared the story of how the brief hostility began nearly a decade ago. It all started when Wayne heard "H.A.M." off of Watch The Throne, and Jae Mills revealed that he encouraged Weezy to bite back after hearing the lyrics. Kevin Winter / Staff / Getty Images On the track, Jay-Z rhymes, "N*ggas fantasize about the sh*t that I do daily / Like these rappers rap about all the sh*t that I do really / I'm like, 'Really; half a billi,' n*gga, really?' You got baby money / Keep it real with n*ggas, n*ggas ain't got my lady's money." Millz said, "[Wayne] ain't feel that sh*t." Initially, Wayne couldn't tell if Jay was taking a shot at him and questioned whether he should respond. "I remember Wayne walked out the room, just went to go get a cup of water and sh*t," said Millz. "I remember two days later he did a song—what was it, Drake, Jadakiss, and Wayne?" It was—and the track was "It's Good" from Tha Carter IV. On that song, Lil Wayne rapped, "Talkin' ’bout baby money? I got your baby money / Kidnap your b*tch, get that 'How-much-you-love-your-lady' money / I know you fake n*gga, press your brakes n*gga / I’ll take you out, that’s a date n*gga." Millz remembered Wayne asking his crew if they believed the bars were "too much." Others told him it would be best if Wayne got rid of the bars altogether, but not Jae Millz. "Man, f*ck that sh*t! Say that sh*t!" the rapper said he told Wayne. "Everybody got mad at me. I was like yo, do you feel like he was talkin' 'bout you?... If you feel—this was just the battle rapper in me at this time but this is how much I f*ck with Wayne, this is what Wayne looks at me for—do you feel like it was a shot?" "'Cause if you didn't feel that it was a shot, you wouldn't have thought of the bar you thought of." Check out Jae Millz sharing the story of his involvement in the lyrical battle below. It is a regular occurrence to see Kim Kardashian-West showing off sneak peeks of her husband Kanye West's multi-million dollar brand, and today (November 30) wasn't any different. Kim was busy posting screenshots to her Instagram Story of her friends and family pestering her about catching up on the new "it" show The Undoing, but the reality star mogul also slipped in a brief look at not only the new Yeezy slides but the upcoming colorways, as well. The rapper shared his misfortunes with his social media followers on Monday (November 30) and it seems as if he had a painful run-in with a knife. Fans got an up-close-and-person-look after Uzi also posted a video of his injury. "This no slit, this sh*t is open," he said in the clip. His friend can be heard in the background telling him that he has a gash. Uzi agreed and said, "A real gash." "Don’t open stuff up with a knife it’s not safe," Uzi later tweeted. A fan wanted to know how he was able to cut his face with a knife. "I was pulling the knife back on a zip tie and stab my face ... I just missed my lip." Another fan told Uzi that he needed stitches, but he questioned whether or not his cut was deep enough for medical attention. We're not sure how Lil Uzi Vert will tend to what looks to be a painful injury, but we're glad it wasn't any worse. Check out Uzi showing off his gash below. View the full article

After much noise from fans, the line-up was altered to included Guwop instead of Tip, and before it all went down, Boosie was placing his bets. Just ahead of the Verzuz with Jeezy and Gucci, Boosie sat down to discuss the hit series and shared why he wouldn't be vying for a shot on the heavily streamed show anytime soon. Boosie explained to VladTV that his music is authentic and said "half my fans dead, most of my Boosie fans dead." He added, "Everyone who came up on my music and all the sh*t I was talking about, they dead or they locked up. N*gga, who I'm gon' do a battle with? The social media fans? All my real fans dead, are in the graveyard or trying to stay alive and teach they children not to be what they was." He was then asked about the then-upcoming Verzuz. "I'm going with Jeezy," said Boosie. "Gucci got more songs but Jeezy got more anthems. Jeezy probably could get T.I. Jeezy got motherf*ckin'...bruh. Jeezy got some sh*t. Jeezy got some motherf*ckin' club anthems. I'm talkin' about club anthems. That n*gga got some sh*t boy." He made sure to give T.I. his props. "Tip still one of my favorite artists," added Boosie. The 21-year-old is said to have five children—four sons (one not biologically his) and a daughter—and it's reported that a woman named Drea Symone gave birth to his sixth child over the Thanksgiving holiday. She shared a photo of her newborn's hand on her Instagram page along with a loving caption where she revealed her baby girl's name. "November 26th 2020, on Thanksgiving Day, I was given a 7.5lb reason to become more thankful," Drea Symone wrote. "I’ve been caught up cherishing the days after... it’s safe to say my heart is completely full!! Kodi Capri." She didn't name NBA YoungBoy as the father, but she gave a hashtag that suggested just as much with "#KCG." It's believed that the baby was given her name to match YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden. Meanwhile, the rapper is gearing up for the birth of yet another child in the coming months as Yaya Mayweather, Floyd Mayweather's 20-year-old daughter, is pregnant, as well. Last Friday (November 27), Summer unleashed on her Instagram Story as she condemned her on-again-off-again boyfriend London On Da Track for not stepping up to the plate during her pregnancy. What followed was a social media storm of posts from London and the mothers of his children as they all seem to directly or subtly speak about one another—but Summer has had enough of the drama. "Respectfully, don’t nobody ask me for nothing," the Over It singer wrote on Instagram. "I’ve given out enough money this year, enough love, enough time, enough favors, & enough effort. I’m not doing sh*t else for nobody ungrateful ass, thanks." She turned off her comments and didn't specify who, if anyone specifically, the note was for, but it caused fans to speculate nonetheless. Amid the verbal spat between Summer Walker and two of the moths of his children, London shared that he didn't plan on getting involved. "I'm not going to let heightened emotions, continued false narratives and accusations trick me into disrespecting the mothers of ANY of my children," he wrote. "I love my kids dearly and currently doing everything in my power (legally) to ensure my kids safety and quality of life. Drama isn't my priority, my children are." Check out Summer's post below. He sparked a conversation about the impact he's had as an artist when he tweeted back in October, "I really changed the whole music industry. Mark Battles has been crushing shit all year and this weekend, he returned with his latest offering, "Try." The rapper teams up with Dreamville's Cozz as well as his own artist Keara Alyse to bring the single to life. "Try was one of those songs that just flowed out of me. It maybe only took me 20-30 mins to write the entire song." Mark said about the song. "I felt like I had to speak up for the ones who aren't spoken for. I wanted to let them know that it's ok to feel defeated at times but it's important that no matter what you never stop trying." Peep the record below. Police received a tip about a domestic situation at Dex's home which the caller described as turning violent. The caller also alleged that Famous Dex was carrying firearms inside of his house. The woman, who's said to be his ex-girlfriend, reportedly had cuts on her. Police said they believed Famous Dex was still at the house and called SWAT for backup. Police said they also saw a video that Famous Dex posted on social media of himself holding a gun, specifically a TEC-9 semi-automatic with a magazine of ammo blatantly visible. In the video, he's addressing the fans and expressing his appreciation while clapping back at criticism over his drug use. His speech is rather slurred throughout the clip, as well. Once police were able to get inside of the house, they weren't able to find Famous Dex. It's unclear whether he left the home or was even in here in the first place but police are still listing him as a suspect in a felony domestic violence report which police are currently investigating. While police have described the video as troubling, NLE Choppa also expressed his concern for Famous Dex over the weekend because of his drug use. Dex later responded with appreciation, though he downplayed the problem. We'll update you on Dex's situation. [Via] View the full article
