Sorry for the Outage

As you can all see, the site is up again.

When all of out skins disappeared and we were suddenly reduced to defaults in every way we became concerned that either our database had become tainted or worse. After contacting our host and accomplishing a full reloading of the site from backup... well you can see.

Our host has responded to inform us that they did in fact update our forum software without notice to be helpful.

Sorry to anyone that lost posts they might have made since @ 8 p.m. last night.

They're gone. We are set at all defaults from the update.

We can/will re-add them, but it will take time.

If Mako Solutions caused this problem, shouldnt they restore them for us?

They wouldn't have even paid attention to what skins we had installed etc.

To be honest I had no idea they had the right to do this. I'm not sure they did. Method can certainly install skins, but the front page is where we suffer.

I guess until it's fixed we might ask people to forward stories onto me rather than post them, and I'll remove my avatar. That would return the pics to their normal state.

hmmmmmmmmm!!!....did it fall or was it pushed??..pity about the skins...looks a bit too much like another site ...but ...it`s the people that count......not the look...just came back online after reconciling the hardware problems that have been plaguing me all weekend...when my homepage came up this morning (why, beatking of course) and i saw the site i thought that my graphics hardware had packed up again...glad that that was not the case...onward and upward beatking....
