Warflower, we're all behind you in your fight to regain control of your life. I'm sure many of us can relate to your situation...I know I can. Life is so much better when you experience it without the alcohol haze. I kicked the alcohol routine about 20 years ago, not coincidentally at the same time I quit smoking. There's no question that getting those monkeys off my back improved my life.

When I think of all the years I've spent in that haze (I'm a weekend alcoholic) I'm ashamed. <_ but...i young my children are still and i absolutely more in tune with them now.>

When I see everyone's stories here or listen to a few from other people I know...NO ONE has ever said... O quitting _________ wasn't for me...I went back. They're always positive stories and I really appreciate everyone's openess and honesty. I'm very lucky to have such support. :)

And to all of you who have kicked whatever habit that was bringing you down...I look up to you and I become more hopeful that my life will absolutely get better every day. :hyper:

I REALLY LOVE YOU GUYS! BEATKING ROCKS BIG TIME! :headbang:

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
