  1. For that kind of money, they should have hired some better dialogue writers. Bet they cheaped out on the grunt efx, too
  2. There are alot of truths within the article. However, most people dont understand that most theatrical films dont make profits until the DVD. Movies are expensive to make and market, and with consumers wanting something new every week, few movies last that long in the theaters. It should be also be noted that movies are mostly a margin business, particular with stars demanding 20m and a percentage of the gross. Last but not least, dvds are inexpensively priced compared to cd's and they come with extra's. Why they have all the extra editions though is beyond me...
  3. I do have an issue re filesharing of movies before they are released. Unlike music, the stakes are much higher. Movies are very expensive to make and market, and usually only begin to make their money at the DVD stage. And unlike the RIAA, the MPAA has been far better than the RIAA in terms of treating its audience respectfully. Finally, on a craftsman issue, movies are meant to be seen on the big screen - not a tiny one.

  10. Hmm...wasnt that the title of an album, not a song? Correction - it was both. Ken, look at the top of the page and click 'Songs' - they are listed in alphabetical order: AFTER THE GOLDRUSH Well, I dreamed I saw the knights In armor coming, Saying something about a queen. There were peasants singing and Drummers drumming And the archer split the tree. There was a fanfare blowing To the sun That was floating on the breeze. Look at Mother Nature on the run In the nineteen seventies. Look at Mother Nature on the run In the nineteen seventies. I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high. I was thinking about what a Friend had said I was hoping it was a lie. Thinking about what a Friend had said I was hoping it was a lie. Well, I dreamed I saw the silver Space ships flying In the yellow haze of the sun, There were children crying And colors flying All around the chosen ones. All in a dream, all in a dream The loading had begun. They were flying Mother Nature's Silver seed to a new home in the sun. Flying Mother Nature's Silver seed to a new home.
