  15. It's hard to believe that Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus's "Old Town Raod" remix is only a little over six months old. Since it was released in April, the infectious track has been difficult to shake. It's inclusion, then exclusion, from Billboard's country charts made the song go viral, and the social media wave made it a record-breaker. It stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 19 consecutive weeks, beating out Mariah Carey's tear-jerking 1995 collaboration with Boyz II Men, "One Sweet Day," which previously held the record at 17 weeks. Manny Carabel/Getty Images The whirlwind has taken Lil Nas X around the globe and back again as he performed at sold-out festivals to crowds in the tens of thousands. He only has two singles under his belt, but both have been hits on the charts. The pressures of fame were so intense that the Georgia native announced he was taking a break from music, but even while he was catching some "R&R" in Hawaii with his loved ones, "Old Town Road" continued to break records. It was announced on Tuesday that the hit single is the first song in 2019 to become certified Diamond as it has surpassed 10,000,000 units. Not only is the rapper celebrating his track's new status, but it's also reported that "Old Town Road" reached Diamond status faster than any other song in history. Whether you love it or hate it, "Old Town Road" will be considered one of the greatest songs of all time. We wonder...what will a Top 50 Best Singles list will look like in 30 years? 17. The ExpediTIously podcast has featured a number of guests, but it's most recent episode united T.I. with his wife Tiny on air. The happily married couple tackled the topic of relationships as they spoke on singleness, marriage life, and everything in-between. Although the pair have been married for nine years, they've been together for 19. The couple has endured ups and downs, some of which were played out messily in the media for the world to see, but they've endured their struggles and have come out on the other side as a solid union. Jason Merritt/Getty Images During the "Battle of the Sexes" episode, T.I. asked Tiny why she thinks people in today's era get married. "Well, I don't know, but let me tell you. I'll never forget when I was about 16, 15-years-old, Aunt Joyce, Kandi's [Burruss] mama told me: 'Do not marry for love,'" the singer revealed of her friend and fellow Xscape member's mother. "'Marry for...'" Tiny draws a blank, but T.I. helps her out and finishes her thought. "Security," he said. Tiny went on to say she didn't understand with Ms. Joyce was saying at the time, but before Tiny could complete her sentence, T.I. jumped in. "See, nobody had that conversation me," he stated. "See men, this the first thing, right. Women are being trained and conditioned from children. This young lady [was] 15-years-old, an older...like a O.G. gave her the game and said, 'Listen here, young lady. You gon' fall in love, but forget that.'" 18. London On Da Track isn't letting his woman go that easily. It's only been a couple of months since Summer Walker and producer London On Da Track have gone public with their romance, but it looked to be over after the singer shared an update on Instagram. "Single. Lol somehow I always end up with male chauvinist," she wrote on her Instagram Story on Monday. "Im a alpha female so I guess when I think for myself/make my own decisions it's taken as disrespect. That was cute tho. God bless him still a sweet man deep down inside." Although she cut ties with London in front of the entire world, the producer, who was responsible for her No. 1 album, was determined to win back his girlfriend. The singer was performing in London just 24 hours after she broke up with her beau when he took a cue from Offset and went on stage during her performance. He had gifts in hand as he cautiously approached Summer, but the two kissed and made up, literally, on stage in front of a screaming crowd of fans. It's not surprising that this breakup didn't last long considering just days ago London shared a photo of himself with Summer with a caption that reads, "Gone change her name ." Check out the break-up-to-make-up moment below. View the full article
  19. He may be madly in love with his girlfriend Sabrina Parr, but it's obvious from Lamar Odom's episode of Uncensored that he still has love and respect for Taraji P. Henson. The former basketball star and the actress dated over a decade ago, and according to Lamar, he truly cared for her. He's talked about their previous relationship in his best-selling memoir Darkness To Light, but it seems he still has a few things to get off of his chest about his romance with the Oscar-nominated star. Noel Vasquez/Getty Images "I just wish I would have done things different," Lamar said on Uncensored. "She was a little older than me, but I learned a lot from her because that was the most significant relationship, as a grown-up, that I had with a black woman. I used to carry her picture on the road with me. Don't nobody know that except for dudes that played with me. She gave me inspiration, you know what I'm sayin'? A black woman working like that, that's just as good at her craft that [I am] in my craft." Lamar admitted that Taraji may have been responsible for a few of his best plays on the road. "I remember we were on the road for our longest road trip and we were playing Cleveland. I went off they ass...but what I'm gettin' at. One of the inspirations, that's part of the inspiration was going back to see her, gettin' back to L.A., was one of the reasons why I kicked they ass that day," he said. "I remember how I was feeling during that game and after that game. Just...she inspired me." The couple could have been long-lasting, had Lamar not cheated on Taraji with his future ex-wife. "Things ended with Taraji because me being an immature punk, I didn't know how to tell her that I was falling in love with another woman named Khloé Kardashian." Check out the Uncensored clip of Lamar once again sharing stories about his former flame. View the full article
  20. At this point, Jussie Smollett would probably like nothing more than to put this who alleged hoax attack behind him. The actor has been disgraced in the media, called a liar by the public, and has been fired from his hit show Empire. Smollett's career was at an all-time high when he was allegedly attacked on the streets of Chicago by who he described as being two white men shouting racial epithets, but now he's facing off in court with Windy City officials. Nuccio DiNuzzo/Getty Images The District Attorney may have dropped the charges against Smollett, but there is still a lawsuit filed against him by the City of Chicago. The Chicago Police Department has openly stated that it is their belief Smollett staged the attack on himself and falsified a police report, so officials have made it their mission to get the actor to pay in some way. If they can't prosecute him, they're going for his wallet for what they claim was a waste of time and resources. The City of Chicago has sued Smollett for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and the actor, along with his attorneys, has asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit. The City wants Smollett to be held financially accountable for the police overtime costs of $130K, and they're also seeking damages to the tune of $260K. However, Smollett and his team received bad news on Tuesday after Judge Virginia M. Kendall reportedly rejected their request. According to Variety, the judge also scolded Smollett's lawyers over their "attempts to muddy the waters with irrelevant arguments." View the full article
  21. It's been a two year battle between 40 Glocc's attorneys and Minnesota prosecutors. In 2017, the California rapper was attending a funeral when he was shot twice. A month later, undercover officers reportedly arrested Glocc in a prostitution sting in connection with an unidentified woman. According to reports, a "client" contacted a woman they'd seen on the now-defunct Backpage.com. The person was put in contact with male individuals who orchestrated the meet-up, and Glocc allegedly drove the woman to the location. Unbeknown to Glocc or the woman, the entire meeting a ruse by the police department. After dropping the woman off, The Game's longtime foe reportedly tried to speed away but was later apprehended. He was arrested and charged with promoting the prostitution of an individual, engaging in the sex trafficking of an individual, and fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle. The case has dragged on for years, but according to TMZ, it will soon be over as the rapper has struck a plea deal with the prosecution. The outlet reports that 40 Glocc has pleaded guilty to one felony count of promoting the prostitution of an individual. The plea deal won't get Glocc out of serving time but he will be able to lessen the blow as he's looking at anywhere between four to twelve months behind bars. View the full article
  22. The ink isn't even dry on Nicki Minaj's marriage license and Wendy Williams is already shading the rap star. It was at the beginning of August when Wendy was offering up words of encouragement to Nicki over her relationship with Kenneth Petty. After seeing the clip of Wendy's kind words on Twitter, Nicki even thanked the talk show host for using her platform to spread positivity about Nicki and Kenneth's union. All of that love between the two women may have ceased on Tuesday when Wendy took to her show to call out Nicki's marriage. On Monday, the Queen rapper shared on Instagram that she and Kenneth exchanged vows and are now officially The Pettys. Wendy talked about the news, beginning by speculating what Nicki would look like pregnant. "Can you imagine a burgeoning belly with these burgeoning hips?" Wendy asked. "I mean, the plastic of it all. She's gonna have a big belly and she's short and she's got the boobs and the hips. And I don't know what he does for a living, I just know that he did time in jail for—he's a sex offender." The talk show host took a pause for her audience to audibly gasp at the revelation. "Well, she's no stranger to that 'cause her brother's in jail for sex offending," Wendy says, referencing Jelani Maraj who was convicted back in 2017 of repeatedly raping his stepdaughter when she was 11-years-old. Going back to Kenneth, Wendy adds, "Well, first-degree manslaughter. Now, he served seven years in prison and he's also a sex offender. So that means that he...is a manslaughter a killer? Okay. So, he's a killer and a sex offender." Throwing up her hands Wendy ended the segment by saying, "Well Nicki, congratulations." Check out the clip below. View the full article
  23. Artists often push limits when they bring fans onto the stage for one-on-one interaction. Things can start off innocently, like that of Lady Gaga who recently wrapped her legs around a fan's waist on stage, only for him to lose his footing. The pair fell into the crowd and Gaga's landing looked hard and painful. Janet Jackson and Ashanti are known to bring men on stage with them, sitting them in chairs as the singers rub all over their bodies. YK Osiris recently asked a few women in the audience to give him lapdances which resulted in the singer almost losing his pants. Performers pull out all the stops to give their fans a show while making them feel as if they're involved with the production, but not everyone wants their admirers to get handsy. Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images YK Osiris may have been just fine with a woman pawing at his body, but that wasn't the case for Sevyn Streeter. She's known for penning tracks for fellow artists like Chris Brown, Fantasia, Ariana Grande, Usher, and K. Michelle, however, Sevyn is a talented singer in her own right. She was recently performing in Atlanta and decided to bring up an unsuspecting young man who was seated as Sevyn sang while giving him a lapdance. The man must have had flashbacks of being at the strip club because he began touching on the singer, but her management wasn't having any of it. From the side of the stage, he quickly comes out and makes sure the fan doesn't get touchy-feely. "I don’t play about my clients!" Brandon Farmer wrote. "Lol keep ya hands to yo self." Sevyn commented on the move and cited Keke Palmer's recent meme when she wrote, "Sorry 2 dat man...." Meanwhile, there were a few people in the comments who thought if she didn't want to be touched, she shouldn't have been grinding on him. Check out the clip below. View the full article
  24. He may have helped lead the Toronto Raptors to a championship victory last season, but Kawhi Leonard is in a new atmosphere this year. The NBA star has a new home with the Los Angeles Clippers, and the hometown hero was excited to take to the Staples Center court. On the opening day of the 2019-2020 season, Kawhi and the Clippers went toe-to-toe with fellow City of Angels squad, the Los Angeles Lakers. The latter, led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, wasn't able to stave off Lob City and were taken down 112 to 102. Harry How/Getty Images Following the game, Kawhi—who put up 30 points in the game—talked about what it was like to be on an L.A. court for his first official game of the season. "It was great. A lot of emotions Game 1, but I'm just happy we came out and got a victory," he told NBA on TNT. "We played a great practice. The last week, everybody competing, pushing everybody's limits and we had some carryover tonight." When asked why this was emotional for him, Kawhi clarified that during the game, he's "locked in." However, prior to taking to the court, he was moved that his loved ones could see him play with ease. "Last night, there were a lot of emotions knowing that my family's gonna be here tonight. I'm just back here playing in the Staples inmy hometown. It's just amazing." Check out Kawhi's full interview along with a few reactions to the Lakers'defeat, below. View the full article
