  3. The 88Rising label is getting ready to unleash its Head In The Clouds II compilation effort and just ahead of its arrival, imprint star Rich brian has come through with a new "These Ngihts" track, calling on K-Pop star Chung Ha for the assist. The pop-laced track is attached a futuristic new clip from the duo, highlighting the song's origins. Brian explains to Billboard that the song came after tying around with Siri on his downtime. “After a while I tried to flirt with her to see how she would respond,” he tells Billboard. “And I started thinking of the future when you can have relationships with robots, that's how I wanted this song to feel.” As for the collaboration with Chung Ha, Rich Brian notes his appreciation for the unexpected: "We do come from very different scenes but this song with the combination of trap drums and the '80s sounds gives it such a timeless feel and I think it's the perfect song for both of us to jump on.” Quotable Lyrics She tell me, "Settle down," what does it all mean? 4. Jeff Hardy a.k.a Brother Nero was recently arrested in North Carolina. According to TMZ, the professional wrestler and WWE star was arrested on Thursday, October 3rd at 10:30 p.m. in Moore County, North Carolina. According to law enforcement, he was arrested for driving while impaired and for driving with a revoked license. The outlet reports that Hardy's BAC level was . 25, three times the legal limit. It was back in July that Hardy was arrested for a similar charge for public intoxication while at a South Carolina hotel. In March of last year, the troubled wrestling pro was arrested in North Carolina for driving under the influence with a.25 BAC level. Since news o hs arrest arrived, Hardy's brother Matt Hardy took to Twitter to speak out about the situation, noting that he was not in control of his brother's actions. "Since so many have asked me about my brother tonight-I love my brother & want him to be happy & healthy, I’ve expressed that to him as much as I can," he penned in a tweet. "Jeff has to make his decisions about his life. I have to focus on my 2 boys & soon to arrive son. I can only control MY actions." Similarly, WWE released a statement that simply stated that Jeff Hardy is in control of his own actions. It is the same statement that they have reiterated with each of his run-ins with the law. 5. The Casey Veggies and Rockie Fresh combination can do no wrong. After a solid year that saw the arrival of Casey's own Organic album, while Rockie Fresh has delivered on a slew of single drops, the duo comes together for their latest addition on "Still Goin." It's a follow up to the Fresh Veggies joints that last arrived in the forms of "Finer Things" and "Murda," and points to a stream of new outputs that could understandably lead into a full-length outing from the pairing. If not, the two have been hard enough at work crafting a solid catalog of collaborations to last through the season. Get into the latest below. Quotable Lyrics Feelin like I'm Diddy, ain't no way out New crib in the 'burbs and it's way out I don't listen to these n-ggas cause they played out I got love for all my n-ggas, I won't play about 'em View the full article

The new cut doubles as a moment to check-in, marking Jabrae's first solo release in over a year as he details a shared affinity for Atlanta's famed strip club scene. “I wanted to deliver a song to fans that was similar to my single “That Way” because that’s what they’ve asked for,” he tells ThisIsRnB. “My goal was to turn a nursery rhyme song into a strip club song and I succeeded at that. It was an opportunity for me to showcase my writing in a different way and expose a bit of my ratchet side.” Quotable Lyrics “Ring around that pole girl Pockets full of dough Throwin’ that cash up And I’m gone watch it all fall down View the full article

  9. Despite suffering a recent rattlesnake bite, Mike Posner is continuing to push forward with his Walk Across America efforts and continues to diligently deliver on new music to attach to each benchmark, having successfully walked over 2,000 miles so far. Now, Posner has shared a new offering in which Talib Kweli is recruited to share a verse with "Legacy." It follows up on the previous releases of "Look What I've Become" with Ty Dolla $ign, "Prince Akeem" ft. Wiz Khalifa, "Slow It Down", and "Nothing Is Wrong". "This journey has completely changed my life and how I think of myself and where I live," Posner says as he releases "Legacy." "I get all the credit but in reality there’s so many people that have helped me along." Quotable Lyrics Legacy is when you're silent, but your presence felt The product like drugs, 'cause it sells itself Yeah, you survived many disasters And now, they hang your jersey from the rafters And see these jokers gettin' greedier? 11. CNN reports that vaping related deaths in the states has hit 17, days after popular e-cigarette brand Juul halted all of its American marketing campaigns after the CEO of the company stepped down. Alabama recently reported it's first death due to lung disease that was associated with vaping, followed by Virginia and New Jersey health officials who reported a similar cause. "While this current outbreak is being investigated, the safest option is to refrain from using any e-cigarette or vape product," State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris stated. The publication details how The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has 805 confirmed cases of patients with lung injuries due to vaping. New York has already taken measures to ban vaping and flavored e-cigarettes. “Vaping is dangerous. Period,” Gov. Andrew M. Cuomoy stated. “No one can say long-term use of vaping — where you’re inhaling steam and chemicals deep into your lungs — is healthy.” Scott Olson/Getty Images “I have long believed in a future where adult smokers overwhelmingly choose alternative products like JUUL,” Juul's new CEO K.C. Crosthwaite stated. “Unfortunately, today that future is at risk due to unacceptable levels of youth usage and eroding public confidence in our industry. Against that backdrop, we must strive to work with regulators, policymakers and other stakeholders, and earn the trust of the societies in which we operate." Who's still vaping? View the full article
  12. In the last quarter of 2019, it seems as though Jordan Brand is making a concerted effort to bring more colorways to the Air Jordan 12. At times, it's a forgotten silhouette that deserves a lot more love than it gets. Back in September, the "Game Royal" model was released to the masses and soon, the "Reverse Taxi" version will also be making its way to stores. Jumpman isn't stopping there as over the past few weeks, we have been posting teasers of the "Dark Grey" colorway. The shoe has a pretty simple color scheme that works really well on-foot. As you can see from the very detailed photos below, the shoe has a white leather upper with dark grey highlights on the midsole. There are some hints of hold near the eyelets and on the sides which adds a nice bit of contrast to the shoe's overall aesthetic. If you're looking to add to your Jordan collection and want a simple Jordan 12, this is definitely the model for you. For now, the rumored release date is Saturday, December 21st with a price of $190 USD for adult sizes and $140 USD for grade school models. View the full article

  17. It's going to take some time to get used to all of the familiar faces in new places, and all of the players with drastically different haircuts, when the NBA season gets underway. Speaking of the latter, the Boston Celtics' Jaylen Brown recently shaved off his signature flat top, as did Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba, although he only did so because he lost a bet to Shaq. Another player who has teased a different hairstyle for the upcoming season is Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma, who took to instagram late Thursday night with a hilarious new look. Whatever the state of his hair might be, Kuzma isn't expected to play any time soon. The 24-year old forward is out indefinitely as a result of the foot injury he suffered this summer while training with Team USA and he won't be suiting up for at least the first three weeks of training camp. Kuz is scheduled for an MRI when the team returns from their two pre season games China in mid-October, so it remains to be seen exactly when he'll be able to rejoin his teammates on the court. Last season, his second in the league, he averaged 18.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. The Lakers will open the 2019-20 regular season on October 22 as they take on the new-look Los Angeles Clippers in the second game of TNT's opening night double-header. View the full article
  18. The rap game is filled with eccentric characters who love to gloat about all they've accomplished. Considering how difficult it is to make it in the industry, you've gotta give some of these artists a pass. They've worked insanely hard to get where they are and they're allowed to believe they're the best at their craft. If you've got millions of people tuning into your latest releases, you've earned that. Lil Pump might sell out shows and earn platinum plaques and there are surely people who would agree with his latest hot take... but that doesn't mean it isn't a hot take. Ser Baffo/Getty Images Taking to social media, Pump announced that his recent project Harverd Dropout had gone platinum, noting that that can only mean one thing. "THAT MEANS IM THE HOTTEST RAPPER RN," wrote Jetski as his caption. As of right now, not much is on tap for Pump before the end of the year. He appears on the brand new remix of Ambjaay's "Uno," spicing up his flow a little bit by integrating some Spanish lyrics in his verse. To be honest, it's a very welcome change to Pump's usual delivery. Hopefully, he can continue to expand his repertoire so he can truly prove why he's the hottest rapper in the game. What do you predict for Lil Pump in 2020? View the full article
  19. Even if you're not predisposed toward the subtle art of rhythm and blues, it's possible that sheer curiosity led you to diving into Summer Walker's Over It. A gargantuan project with guest appearances from 6LACK, Drake, A Boogie, and the elusive PARTYNEXTDOOR, Walker's talents are put on full display across the melodic album. Given that the rarity of a PND feature is, in itself, worthy of discussion, it feels right to highlight the soft and sultry "Just Might," a late-night lover's anthem. With a slow-paced instrumental providing the baseline, Summer finds herself getting brutally honest, pondering whether she is in fact "a ho" by her own admission. As for PND, he finds himself dealing with an age-old quandary once lamented slash celebrated by none other than T-Pain: which is to say, being in love with a stripper. "Shawty's been stripping for so long, How-how long do she think it could go on?" he sings, a question as rhetorical as they come. Quotable Lyrics Shawty's been stripping for so long How-how long do she think it could go on Without her fuckin' anybody? 20. Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez are two of the best pound for pound boxers in the entire world and fans go absolutely nuts every time they get into the ring together. The first time these two fought, the match was called a draw and it sparked a rematch. Canelo ended up winning the second tilt by the skin of his teeth although some felt as though GGG has been hosed. Regardless of how you felt, there is no denying that both matches were entertaining and great for a sport that had been declining in the years prior to their rivalry. Now, fans have been clamoring for yet another rematch that would complete their trilogy. Golovkin seems to be very keen on the idea but Alvarez has been pretty silent on the matter. In a recent interview with TMZ, Golovkin let his feelings be heard as he claimed Canelo has been avoiding him. "Last time he said 'No,'" Golovkin said "Everybody push him, he said 'No.' I can't bring him." This is pretty disappointing news as it doesn't look like a rematch is going to happen anytime soon. Both of these fighters are at the top of their game and it would be interesting to see who would win the third time around. For now, a rematch remains a pipe dream for boxing fans everywhere. Who would you bet on in a prospective third fight? View the full article
  21. New York Knicks fans have November 14 circled on their calendars, as that marks the date that Kristaps Porzingis will make his return to Madison Square Garden for the first time since he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. Assuming Porzingis is still healthy, he will have a target on his back and the new-look Knicks will want to appease their rabid fanbase by doing anything they can to spoil his return. Knowing how much Knicks fans disdain KP, rookie guard RJ Barrett recently named Porzingis as the one guy that he wants to posterize the most. Earlier this week, The Unicorn was questioned about Barrett's tongue-in-cheek comments and he welcomed the challenge. “That’s fine. I’m a shot-blocker. I don’t know what some people were saying. I’m one of the best shot-blockers in the league and I’m always up for the challenge,” Porzingis told reporters. “I think that’s a pretty good goal for [Barrett] to try to dunk on me. That would be cool. I respect that.” Porzingis missed all of last season as he recovered from his ACL injury, but he did average 2.4 blocks per game in his 48 appearance in the 2017-18 season. The Mavericks will open the season on at home on October 23 as they host the Washington Wizards. Meanwhile, the New York Knicks kick off their season with a pair of road games, including at San Antonio on October 23 and at Brooklyn on October 25. View the full article
  22. Travis Scott has been everywhere over the past year and his forays into music aren't the only thing keeping him occupied. La Flame has proven himself to be a more than capable sneaker designer as he has released collaborations with both Nike and Jordan Brand. Next Saturday, Scott is supposed to be dropping his Air Jordan 6 "Olive" sneaker which seems to have drawn the attention of sneakerheads everywhere. One of the other releases that has fans salivating is this "Cactus Jack" Nike Air Force 1 Low which features a plethora of colors and materials. The shoe looks incredible so far and in this latest video from @retroshoparis, we get to see all of the materials up close and personal. You can see leather, suede, corduroy and many other materials being represented here. It's an overall great look that will surely have sneakerheads excited as the release date approaches. For now, these are slated to drop in November for $160 USD although there is no concrete release date. Stay tuned for updates as we will be sure to bring them to you. View the full article
  23. By now, you'd be wise to keep an eye on Peewee Longway, the Blue M&M connoisseur representing Atlanta. Likewise for his partner in crime Money Man, with whom he united to deliver a full-length project in Long Money. Despite their prolific nature on the solo front, both parties have brought their A-game on this go-around, culminating in a staggering twenty-song collection. Should you be a returning fan, you'll likely find much to enjoy here, from the guitar-driven Money Man banger "Alien" to the laid-back vibes of "So Cold." Lyrically, the debauchery runs appropriately high, though it's always tempered by an inherent sense of menace. Both parties are battle-tested, and thus, there is an aura of authenticity within their words. Anyone partial to music for the streets, by the streets, will likely enjoy Long Money. Perhaps its time to add the title of "financial advisor" to their respective resumes. What do you think of this one? View the full article
  24. Getting a coveted co-sign from Drake, Ambjaay is on track to make a lot of money off of his hit single "Uno." While he tried to follow up on his success with "Ice Cream," his breakout remains his most-popular single to date. Popping off across the country, "Uno" was one of the hottest songs of the summer, banging in the clubs and serving as a fun, light-hearted cut for when you're racing down the freeway. We've been hearing a few artists give their take on the song and now, the official remix is out with additions from Tyga, Lil Pump, and even a new verse from Ambjaay. A video of Lil Pump rapping in Spanish had all of his fans shook and it turns out that it was for this remix all along. Out now, the rework of "Uno" starts off with Pump giving his rendition of the infectious hook before heading into a primarily-Spanish section. Ambjaay then comes in for the original chorus before T-Raw jumps in with some raunchy bars. It's insane to think that three rappers fit on a song that's under two-minutes-long but, here we are. What do you think of the remix? Quotable Lyrics: T-Raw and I'm all about dinero And I like the pussy sweet like a churro Told that bitch I don't drive a Camaro Got a big ego, I need a sombrero Shake that ass, you a bop, make it go, don't stop Slurp me up, outside of In-N-Out parking lot View the full article
  25. For years now, Kanye West and Mike Dean have built a solid working relationship. The artists that are close to Ye, including Travis Scott and all of the G.O.O.D. Music squad, work with the legendary engineer to achieve the perfect sounds in their mixes, masters, and production. Mike Dean knows how to do it all and, usually, he's a pretty solid troll too. Throughout the last few Kanye album rollouts, Dean has been an integral part of us knowing what's actually going on. Now that Jesus Is King has been indefinitely delayed, nobody really knows when we can expect the album. Ye's team is apparently still working on it, putting the final touches on the gospel-tinged project before sending it to streaming. In one of the latest updates though, Mike Dean hints that it could be a very, very, very long time before we actually hear it. Johnny Nunez/WireImage/Getty Images As reported by RapCurrent, Mike Dean took to his SnapChat account to provide a very cruel update on the progress they've made since last week, noting that Jesus Is King is far from being ready. "Just deleted jik accidentally whilst mixing lol. Fuck yall," he wrote as his caption, smoking a joint in the footage. Now, Mike Dean is clearly joking about this (or is he???) so we shouldn't be too worried. Hopefully, Jesus Is King arrives sooner rather than later. If it's not ready though, we'll just have to be patient! Screenshot via RapCurrent View the full article
