  13. It's been a rough time for Lizzo lately as she's faced off against a number of people who have accused her of plagiarism. The singer has been applauded throughout 2019 for her uplifting, positive lyrics, but some have come forward to say that they've influenced, or at least helped Lizzo write, some of her hit songs. Although she's dealing with legal drama and flurry of accusations related to her music, Lizzo rose above it all to release a remix to her fan-favorite track, "Good As Hell." Pop princess Ariana Grande added her vocals to the song, offering up only minor changes to the overall project. The "7 Rings" singer tweeted her excitement about the song's release by writing, "The most fun thank you @lizzo for having me on this remix !! i love you, your energy and this record so so much." Check it out and let us know what you think. 14. Not all relationships can survive after the honeymoon period ends. YouTube star and R&B singer Queen Naija tackles the topic on her latest single "Good Morning Text" as she shares a story of noticing that her man isn't paying her as much attention as he used to. She sings of all the things that he used to do to show his affections, but now she can't even get a good morning text or a mention on social media. Queen Naija questions whether or not she loves him more than he loves her because "it was much better before." The Michigan native has been on her music and social media grind for a few years now, building a fanbase that reaches over seven million followers on Instagram alone. Her career seemed to take off after she advanced to the Hollywood round on American Idol, but unfortunately, she was cut early on in the competition. Now signed to Capitol Records, fans are awaiting the follow-up project to her self-titled debut EP. In the meantime, check out her latest single, "Good Morning Text" and let us know what you think. 15. This time last week, Nicki Minaj and Kenneth "Zoo" Petty were finalizing their humble wedding ceremony. On Monday, the rapper slyly shared with fans that she tied the knot with Kenneth and since that time, very few details have emerged about the moment the couple decided to exchange vows. Nicki shared a brief clip on social media that showed Bride and Groom baseball caps, a look that many believed wasn't fancy enough for the Queen star. Jason Merritt/Getty Images It's rumored that The Pettys will have a more lavish ceremony at a later date, but TMZ reports that although they kept things simple for their recent nuptials, Nicki made sure her pastor officiated the event. The outlet states that Pastor Lydia Woodson-Sloley from Brooklyn of the Life in Its Poetic Form Christian Ministries was asked to make her way to Los Angeles to wed the couple. Nicki has previously spoken about Pastor Lydia, most notably during her 2015 MTV Video Music Awards appearance when she was on stage accepting the Best Hip-Hop Video win for "Anaconda." "You know who I want to thank tonight? My pastor Lydia. I love you so much," Nicki said, before calling out Miley Cyrus over their prior spat. "And now, back to this b*tch that had a lot to say about me in the press. Miley what's good?" Nice transition. Check out Nicki's previous Instagram post praising her pastor below. 16. It's currently 1:00 a.m. in the Pacific Time Zone and as many of you have noticed, Kanye West didn't drop his album. Fans have been anticipating the release of Jesus is King for quite some time, and when it was shared that the record would find it's way to streaming services on September 27, millions of people around the world stayed up until midnight to make sure they were able to listen to the project as soon as it dropped. Kevin Winter/Getty Images Unfortunately, that day came and went, and although Kim Kardashian took to social media to share that Jesus Is King would come that Sunday, we didn't receive it then, either. October 25 would later be the named as the coveted release date for Jesus Is King, and fans were sure that Kanye wouldn't pull another move like hyping up a record only to not release it at midnight. He would never do that twice in a row. Right? After midnight in the Eastern Time Zone was a miss, fans still awaited the gospel-centered project. Kanye has sat down with Zane Lowe for Beats 1 and premiered his record at The Forum in Los Angeles to an audience of thousands, so it was believed that he wouldn't renege on his promise. Then, over an hour after Ye said Jesus Is King would be available to the masses, he offered an update. "To my fans. Thank you for being loyal & patient. We are specifically fixing mixes on 'Everything We Need' 'Follow God' & 'Water.' We not going to sleep until this album is out!" There were a few fans who supported Kanye's need for perfection and shared on social media that as a creative, he should take all the time he needs. However, the masses didn't align with that sentiment and decided to show just how frustrated they were with being fooled once again. Mysteriously, New Yorkers began tweeting that there was something Kanye-oriented happening at the World Trade Center station. The rapper, along with his 100+ person choir, was captured making his way through the building. Professional cameras were on the scene and security made sure to keep prying eyes at bay. Check out a few tweets about the sighting, along with a few scathing reactions about Jesus Is King's delay, below. View the full article
  17. In less than a month, Kodak Black will learn his fate at his sentencing. Earlier this year, the Florida rapper was arrested on federal weapons charges prior to performing at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami. He's been in prison ever since and now reportedly faces upwards of ten years in prison after pleading guilty. Kodak's fate may still be questionable, but his career wages on. Kodak from sharing updates and delivering music to his fans, and on Friday, the controversial artist released a new single titled "Zombie" featuring NLE Choppa and DB Omerta. 18. New Edition gets an interesting remix by Jazze Pha. On Friday, K. Michelle delivered her single "The Rain" from her anticipated fifth studio album All Monsters Are Human. The singer recently shared her Yung Miami and Kash Doll-assisted single "Supa Hood" where the ladies traded verses about liking their men a little rough around the edges, and now K. is back flying solo on her latest single. When K. Michelle first announced "The Rain," fans thought that she would be paying homage to R&B group SWV's 1998 classic "Rain." However, K. and Jazze Pha instead tapped New Edition iconic 1988 chart-topper "Can You Stand The Rain" for the singer's sexy track. "The Rain" isn't about the weather, either; We'll just leave it up to you to listen to the song and figure out what wetness K. Michelle is talking about. 19. Lena Waithe's Queen & Slim is already a controversial film that has tongues wagging. The Bonnie & Clyde-style storyline stars Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith as a cop-killing couple who travel throughout the United States running from authorities. The film is slated for a November release, and in anticipation of the movie, a new single from the soundtrack dropped Friday. Although the film is being hailed as a thriller, Megan Thee Stallion and VickeeLo's "Ride Or Rie" is an uptempo jam heavily influenced by the New Orleans bounce scene. While that's VickeeLo's style of music, it's interesting to hear Megan's inclusion in the genre. "I’m really excited to be on the Queen & Slim soundtrack because this movie is going to do big things for the culture," Megna said. "This is the modern-day Bonnie and Clyde. Why would I have not wanted to be a part of this? This is amazing! ‘Ride or Die’ is lit!" Let us know what you think. 21. As fans await Roddy Ricch's follow-up to Feed The Streets II, the California rapper continues to deliver a slow roll out of singles. He recently dropped off "Big Stepper" not long ago, a single that was well-received by fans, and there have been requests for Roddy to share the release date for his forthcoming project Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial. It seems that Roddy is keeping that information close to the chest, but on Friday he shared new music once again, a track titled "Start Wit Me" featuring Gunna. Roddy has previously expressed that there is no underlying delay in releasing Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial aside from wanting to perfect the album. "I just do what I can do and try to just tell my story," Roddy recently said. "Just give the young people something that's real. Something that ain't fixated. Something that they could connect to. Like people that came before me, I don't know some rappers, how real they are, how fake they are, with my story I try to just lay out the facts and let the younger people choose what they want to do."
