  1. We're still waiting on the arrival of Rick Ross' next album, Richer Than I've Ever Been. The rapper announced the project last summer following his Verzuz with 2 Chainz. Unfortunately, the release date has been pushed back and it seems that he's eying a release date in 2021. Rodrigo Varela/Getty ImagesWhat seems to be a promising indication that its arrival is imminent is Ross' recent appearance on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series. Even though it was the quarantine-edition, the rapper enlisted a few collaborators to bring a few of his favorites to live. With DJ Sam Sneak on the ones and twos, Ross gets some assistance from drummer Rashid Williams, bassist Thaddaeus Tribbett, Monty Reynolds on the keys, and Elijah Blake and Troy Tyler handling back-up vocals. Together, they performed, "BMF," "Aston Martin Music," "I'm Not A Star," "Tears Of Joy," "F*ckwithmeyouknowigotit," and "Super High" during his set. The set included some wise words from the boss, himself, who showed love to everyone who has offered him inspiration in the past. "So many inspired the Boss,” he says. “I could look at any brother on the street and get some inspiration from them, regardless of how many followers you got on social media, regardless of what you're riding in. I could learn something from you. I ain't scared to. Let's make sure we keep building." Read, "Rick Ross, MMG, And The Understated Impact Of Vision & Hustle." 2. Denzel Curry has officially turned the page on another chapter, turning twenty-six years old with an incredible discography under his belt. And while he only seems to be getting better with time, finding comfort in exploring new musical territory, it never hurts to take it back to the early days when he was still carving his way through Florida's rap scene. For many, their introduction to Zel came by way of Nostalgic 64, a tape that many of his fans still celebrate -- and rightfully so, given how many bangers like "N64" line the tracklist. On that note, the title track features some inspired rhyming by Denzel, who absolutely snaps over an ominous and atmospheric banger from POSHstronaut & Nurі. As has come to be a staple part of his toolkit, he lines his verses with geek-friendly references, delivering them with an edge that emphasizes the "revenge" in Revenge Of The Nerds. In the first verse alone, he's firing off references to Pokemon, The Usual Suspects, Batman, Black Knight, Finding Nemo, and Samurai Jack. It's part of why he stood out as such a unique personality and continues to do so to this day -- happy birthday to Denzel Curry! 3. For anybody that has followed Blac Chyna's career from the start, it won't come as a surprise to hear that she's not on the best terms with her mother, Tokyo Toni. They've had very public rifts over a wealth of issues, including Chyna's children, her relationships, and her career. While they seemingly have been able to put their differences aside at times, last week, Tokyo Toni went on the record to claim that she's not proud of what her daughter has accomplished during her career. "We're nothing alike. She mimicked me, just like Nicki Minaj did, just like Cardi B and everybody else. Mimicked me. But there's only one of me, how about that?" said Toni on Tasha K's podcast. "No, I'm not [proud of her]. I'm saddened by [what she's accomplished] because I know why she received it. She couldn't receive the same things without doing the things she's done by hurting people. By hurting her nannies, by hurting her friends, by embarrassing her family, by hurting her mother." Arnold Turner/Getty ImagesMany have been waiting to hear Blac Chyna's response to her mother's recent comments, which have officially come via the celebrity's appearance on the Wendy Williams Show. She spoke with the host about her mom, showing maturity in her comments. "It's nothing for me to really say. I can't change anybody," she said. "My mom, she's set in her ways and I can't really dwell on anything in the past, I just have to focus on my kids and my career and the things that I have coming up and remain positive and pray'd up. That's honestly the only thing that's on my mind." The entertainer also spoke about her co-parenting relationships with Rob Kardashian and Tyga, revealing that they don't pay her any child support. 4. Lil Uzi Vert has been treating fans to an enhanced social media presence over the last few days with some very sporadic, questionable tweeting. In one of the since-deleted tweets, Uzi suggested he and his on-again-off-again rumored girlfriend JT had broken up ahead of Valentine's Day weekend, prompting Kodak Black to shoot his shot at the newly single City Girls rapper. Most recently in his tweet spree, the rapper addressed the status of his relationship with numerous fellow rappers including Kodak Black, Rich the Kid, Playboi Carti, Lil Yachty, and oddly, Justin Bieber. Provided in screenshots below in case he deletes these ones as well, Uzi quote tweets a fan who suggests he has hard feelings for Kodak Black following the video shared by the rapper where he sings a ballad for JT in an attempt to woo her. The fan suggests, "We know you don't fw Kodak," which Uzi denies. He penned, "I do... who told you that," with a smiley face. He also let fans know he's still on good terms with Justin Bieber, although it's unclear why they wouldn't have been in the first place. He also listed Rich the Kid, Playboi Carti, and Lil Yachty as rappers he still is on good terms with despite rumors suggesting otherwise. Image via Twitter Image via Twitter Image via Twitter As you all probably know, many internet users are still recovering from Uzi's last antic of getting a $24 million diamond surgically placed inside the middle of his forehead. "Beauty is pain" he added in the caption of the Instagram clip he shared debuting the new face jewelry that broke the internet when it was first revealed. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/R5LYUWBWHmEView the full article
  5. Tessica Brown is fed up. The now-infamous “gorilla-glue girl” has been fielding jabs from gossip blogs all week who have called her situation a hoax and a publicity stunt. However, a representative from Brown’s team revealed she is willing to drag anyone into court regarding the matter. Tessica’s management team attorney filed a cease and desist order against Instagram and Twitter accounts @gossipofthecity_ who has been spreading the rumor that Brown did not actually spray Gorilla Glue adhesive spray into her hair, despite her public proclamations and struggle as such, and thus inciting hate to her across all social media. The account has been providing any and every update regarding Brown’s situation. However, they have also been posting messages to over 600,000 people saying she “pulled a fast one” on the general public. The blog also insinuated Brown scammed them out of their money, referring to the GoFundMe page that was made to help her, which received over $20,000 in donations. Jeffrey Klein, Brown’s attorney, responded saying that her situation was not a joke and Gossip Of The City’s account owner is defaming his client’s character, which, if needed, will result in legal action being taken. The account acknowledged the cease and desist order but did not take it seriously whatsoever. In a post, @gossipofthecity_ called the order fake, to which Brown’s team responded that the order is very real and their account is on thin ice. Tessica Brown revealed the gruesome details of her humiliation and pain in an exclusive interview with TMZ Live, and reminded everyone that she was in the emergency room for days due to her mistake. 6. Megan Thee Stallion is one of the most polarizing artists in the world. Ever since her rise to fame, the Houston-bred rapper's popularity has been split evenly between fans and haters. After what happened last summer with Tory Lanez, the public became even more divided about the superstar. As one of the biggest women in rap, Megan garners a lot of attention for anything she does. Erik Voake/Getty ImagesShe recently revealed to the world that she's dating someone, which would mark her first public relationship since breaking up with Moneybagg Yo a while ago. After doing some scooping, fans theorized that she could be getting romantic with Pardison Fontaine, a rapper known for writing some of Cardi B's biggest hits. While Pardi and Meg haven't confirmed that they're dating, the internet is already tearing them apart, especially after a video seemingly showed them getting into an altercation on her birthday. The biggest headlines surrounding Megan Thee Stallion this week pertain to the video that allegedly shows the rapper and her "new boo" getting into an argument on Instagram Live. The clip does not show Megan's face, but the rapper is allegedly heard yelling. Some have pointed out that Pardison Fontaine can also be heard yelling about Megan, who was seemingly in the washroom. Megan began trending for the video, and it didn't take long for Pardison to get dragged through the mud on Twitter. Check out more of what people have been saying below. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/xHL2HH1nka8View the full article
  7. As we've seen from Valentine's Day weekend, holiday's hit different when you have the cash to splurge on lavish gifts from the people who mean the most in your life. That being considered, birthdays sure must hit different as well when your father singlehandedly helped shape the sound of contemporary trap music. Young Thug's daughter and youngest member of his YSL collective Mari Mego, who goes by Mego YSL, reaped the benefits of her father's critical and commercial success yesterday on her 9th birthday. Thugger shared a snap of the youngster at a birthday photoshoot on his Instagram page Monday (February 15) wishing her a very happy 9th birthday. Mari Mego, whose full name is Amari, posed alongside seven different Gucci bags and boxes, each filled with a different gift for her. She crossed her arms and gave her best Young Thug-esque stance to the camera as she rocked a matching Gucci kids monogram print trench coat, paired with Gucci socks and trainers. The YSL head honcho captioned the photo, "OneOfMine..." while tagging Mari's Mego YSL Instagram handle. In another post shared on that page, the youngster shared more shots of herself in front of her "Happy 9 B-Day" balloons, adding in the caption, "It’s My 9th Birthday," with tons of celebratory emojis. She continued, "Happy Birthday to me!" And we wish a very happy birthday to the young rap-newcomer! http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/sHKxbG_4v1kView the full article
  8. Trey Songz has been in the news for a few different reasons as of late, including his recent arrest and the leak of his alleged sex tape. He's been using his celebrity as a means to promote his business ventures, releasing new music and directing people to his OnlyFans page. As he seems to be striving, Trey was forced to say goodbye to a member of his family that he's always been close to, revealing in a new post that his uncle passed away suddenly last week. "God called my uncle home last week. No warning signs, just suddenly was his time," wrote Trey on Instagram, sharing multiple pictures of them together at different events. "Been struggling with how to deal with the emotions. Wish I coulda talked to him one more time but that’s not how life works. Tell ya people you love em cause you never know when your last time seeing them will be. Unc give Grandpa a kiss for me and hold me a spot next to y’all." Trey Songz didn't reveal his uncle's cause of death. Michael Loccisano/Getty ImagesAs he mentioned, Trey also lost his grandfather last year, mentioning that he thinks his death could have been because of COVID-19. The artist contracted the virus himself, but he fully recovered from it. Send your positive messages to Trey Songz this week because he can definitely use them. Rest in peace to his uncle. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/Dy7kB0ics34View the full article
  9. Though Nipsey Hussle will forever live on through his music, the impact of his death continues to be felt by fans, friends, and family alike. And while we were recently lucky enough to receive a verse from the late rapper -- the Jay-Z assisted "What It Feels Like," a highlight from the new soundtrack for Judas & The Black Messiah -- the reality that we'll never hear new music from the Crenshaw rapper is a harsh one to bear. Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images If there's any comfort, it's knowing that his acclaimed album Victory Lap, the project that earned him his first Grammy nomination, has officially celebrated another year. For many, the project served as an introduction to Nip's artistry, boasting some of the biggest tracks of his career in "Last Time That I Checc'd," "Dedication," and "Hussle & Motivate." In addition to being a complete and deftly penned body of work, Victory Lap also served to kick off a new chapter of Nipsey's career -- one in which the entrepreneurially-minded emcee was poised to continue his ascent into mainstream stardom. Alas, his untimely death put a stop to Nipsey's rise, leaving Victory Lap as the lone studio album in his discography. Three years later, it feels important to highlight the project once again, though the fact that it's already three-years-old may prove alarming to some. On this milestone anniversary, be sure to pay respects to Neighborhood Nip in the comments below, and sound off with your thoughts on the project -- is Victory Lap a classic? http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/ceO7b02__qAView the full article
  10. As you may know already, Colin Kaepernick is currently working on a six-part Netflix special on his life directed by acclaimed producer Ava DuVernay. The description for the pro-athlete turned activist's upcoming Colin in Black & White Netflix limited series currently reads that, "the drama series from Colin Kaepernick and Ava DuVernay explores Kaepernick's high school years and the experiences that led him to become an activist." Unfortunately, however, TMZ reports that TV production on the special was forced to take extra security measures after being threatened by the Proud Boys. Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for Hearst According to sources from TMZ, the publication has learned that the anti-Black Lives Matter group was planning a protest at a location shoot last week. While the demonstration never came to fruition, it made cast and crew nervous in terms of the lengths the group could go to disrupt production. Two production assistants on set also claim that a suspicious phone call was made to the production office in the past week. Netflix recently announced the production of the forthcoming limited drama series that will produce "meaningful insight" into Kaepernick's formative years, centering around his time in high school. Jaden Michael will star as a teenage Colin Kaepernick in the short series. “With his act of protest, Colin Kaepernick ignited a national conversation about race and justice with far-reaching consequences for football, culture and for him, personally,” DuVernay said last June. “Colin’s story has much to say about identity, sports, and the enduring spirit of protest and resilience. I couldn’t be happier than to tell this story with the team at Netflix.” [via] http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/f6CqgS-EQCIView the full article
  11. Earlier in the month, Nick Cannon was officially announced to be returning as the host of his sketch comedy and game show series Wild 'N Out after being fired from the position because of some testy anti-Semitic comments he made. Seemingly celebrating the good news by wildin' out, the 40-year-old San Diego native seems to be in at last three different relationships with three different women at once. Previously opening up about not engaging in monogamy, he's also rumored to have a set of twins on the way-- in addition to his most recent newborn with Brittany Bell. The actor and comedian allegedly sent Valentine's Day gifts to three different women during the romantic weekend. First on the list is Abby De La Rose, who is also currently allegedly pregnant with twins for Nick. She's a DJ currently residing in LA and rumors about the identity of her baby's father have been circling around. Yesterday (February 15), she shared a clip of what looks like Nick Cannon's hands wrapped around her stomach. Rumors of the couple surfaced just a day after he spent his time Valentine's Day weekend split between at least two other women. Lanisha Cole, who claims to be Cannon's girlfriend, shared a video of him surprising her with a room filled with balloons. Interestingly, Brittany Bell, the mother of Nick's newest child, shared her own clip on Valentine's Day of a room filled with balloons and a bed covered in rose petals with the initials "N & B." Fans noticed the glaringly similar set-up of both surprises. Lanisha doesn't seem bothered by the arrangement, however, addressing folks in an Instagram story rant who had anything negative to say about her unorthodox relationship. She ranted, "It's not your job to be upset over the dynamics of MY relationship." Back in December, Nick, and Brittany welcomed a baby girl named Powerful Cannon. They also have an older son named Golden. [via] http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/Wc-e-GZcviEView the full article
  12. Today is one of those days, where several rappers across a variety of generations celebrate their birthday. Between Conway The Machine, Lupe Fiasco, Denzel Curry, and Ice-T, the celebratory spirit is on high. And in the case of the Original Gangsta, who has officially turned the corner on his 63rd birthday, all we can really do is marvel at the scope of the man's longevity. Frans Schellekens/Redferns/Getty Images After all, Ice-T has been putting in work for decades now, having played an integral role in shaping gangsta rap as we know it today. And that's not even factoring in his work on the metal circuit with Body Count -- the versatility must be applauded. Though he may have previously deemed himself "too old for the dumb shit," that hasn't stopped him from keeping it moving and hustling with an impressive work ethic; case in point, Ice has recently kicked off the twenty-second season of Law & Order Special Victims Unit, the longest-running primetime drama in TV history. "Thank you Thank you Thank you for all the Birthday wishes!" writes Ice, taking to Twitter to share a few words on the big day. "63 Trips around the Sun!! Life is good. Because I’ve learned to appreciate every second. Life is Precious because no one is promised tomorrow.. Thanks, for joining me on my ride..It’s far from over. I’m just warming up." 13. It's not uncommon for rappers to switch up their hairstyle whenever they get ready to begin rolling out a new project. Jay-Z is known for growing out his hair during the recording process and then cutting it all off once the album is wrapped up. Danny Brown switched out the emo-esque haircut for green dreadlocks that he maintained until the release Uknowhatimsayin? Drake, too, has a tendency to switch up his hairstyle every few albums. He had the map across his forehead when he dropped Nothing Was The Same. In recent times, he's had the design of a heart cut into the front of his hair symbolizing his forthcoming project Certified Lover Boy. As you'd expect, fans followed suit and began trying to mimic the hairstyle. One fan, in particular, shared the results of his haircut and immediately got roasted. Now, it's one thing to go viral but it's another thing once Freddie Gibbs starts posting about it. The Gary, Indiana rapper took to Twitter where he shared the photo, alongside a comparison to Drake's haircut, with the caption simply reading, "D'Fuck." Certified Lover Boy was expected to drop last month but Drake told fans that the project simply wasn't ready and that he'd be dropping it at some point this year. There isn't a window of time on when we could expect it to drop but his recent selfies have indicated that he's hard at work. As for Gibbs, he's still riding high off of the release of 2020's Alfredo with The Alchemist. He recently released "Gang Signs" with ScHoolboy Q which could mean that a new project is coming soon. Keep your eyes peeled for that. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/PrcYxf6c7fcView the full article
  14. Apryl and Lil Fizz’s controversial relationship ended in early 2020 when it was reported that they went their separate ways to focus on their children. Jones seems to have moved forward, as she was spotted out with Dr. Dre at a dinner date recently, creating an online stir. While the two stars haven't been together for a while, they reconnected for the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood reunion and revealed the real reason their relationship ended-- an overall lack of communication between the two. Apparently, in their relationship, there was no communication at all. The former couple played a game of catch in a secluded area, likely due to COVID-19 guidelines, and talked about their failed relationship in a clip from the reunion. In the LHH clip, Jones told the former B2K member, “You didn’t call me back.” He was quick to respond reminding her that the phone works both ways, hinting that the model also failed to return his calls. “I called you. You said ‘Well I’m gonna call you when I get my stuff together mentally,’ and you never called me,” Jones retaliated. Fizz replied saying he “got lost in getting it together,” which Jones apparently understood as she told him to take all the time he needed to get right with himself. The rapper continued saying that he needed time to get everything right with his son Kamron Frédéric, and his mother Moniece Slaughter who also stars on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, alongside the two. However, spectators believe the pair still have feelings for each other based on the chemistry in the clip. Some also expressed the relationship should have never happened due to the pair betraying Omarion, who happened to be Apryl's ex-boyfriend, and Fizz's former bandmate best friend. “They clearly still miss or love each other,” an Instagram user commented. Do you think there are still sparks between them? Check out the video below and let us know in the comments. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/k7jHUo88jBsView the full article
  15. It's been nearly a year since the release of Chris Brown and Young Thug's smash hit "Go Crazy", but the song continues to be one of the most popular tracks across the nation. Currently sitting at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100, Chris and Thugger are hoping for another push with the freshly-announced remix, which will arrive this week. Recruiting some of the biggest stars in the world for the remix, three new names have been added to the roster for the "Go Crazy" re-release on Friday. Announcing the big news by revealing the cover artwork on Instagram, Chris Brown vowed to take us back to warmer times. "Let me show u how to bring the summer back," he wrote as his caption. The remix of "Go Crazy" will feature Future, Lil Durk, and Mulatto, three of the hottest names in rap right now. Considering the song was recently celebrated as Brown's biggest radio hit since 2008, it shouldn't be surprising that the artist is attempting to capitalize on the track's sustained attention with a remix. Perhaps this will boost it to a #1 position on the charts, dethroning the power of Olivia Rodrigo's "driver's license". "Go Crazy" previously peaked at#5 on the Hot 100. 16. Viral social media star and rapper Latruth sat down with Hynaken and E$$O in this week’s episode of BagFuel, to discuss working with Snoop Dogg, the elevation of North Carolina's rap scene, and helping fellow social media stars find success. Latruth, for those unfamiliar, is a multi-hyphenate in the online space, from rapper to content creator. He has, clearly, developed a formula for success in social media. In 2006, he founded his own record label Fast Cash Records / Gswag Ent, based out of Atlanta. The rapper has sold over 300,000 units after releasing 5 albums as an independent artist under his own label. After spending several years establishing his name through a winning social media recipe, Latruth expanded his catalog with a single titled “Don’t Disrespect” featuring the legendary Snoop Dogg in 2017. “Man it was actually something set up through my management. He called me like ‘We got Snoop on the ready,’ and I was like 'that's dope bro,’ let's make it work. I put my shit together. Next thing you know, I’m flying out to Snoop’s house, smoking with him. You know, we made history,” Latruth shares during the interview. BagFuel host E$$O goes on to ask Latruth what it was like to smoke with Snoop Dogg during their recording session, “What was that experience like smoking with him? Because we heard he don’t smoke like no regular.” “Aw man, I don’t know what type of lungs he got,” Latruth answered in familiar fashion. “He’s rolling up blunts this fat back to back to back. After three I was cool. Yeah he kept smoking but he’s got his own strand of weed.” Latruth apparently also has a track record of helping social media stars-turned-artists break into the spotlight, as he reveals during the interview. “DC Youngfly, Haha Davis, Woody The Great, FatBoy SSE, DK… man the list is limitless,” Latruth starts. “There’s so many people that came through before they actually blew all the way up.” Hynaken and E$$O wanted to know the exact formula for social media fame, but the rapper claims it's all about genuinity, consistency, and transparency. “All I’m doing is a simple repost basically,” he said, “I’m reposting and saying what I feel about it. Obviously if it’s dope content, the world is gonna see the same thing.” Finally, the conversation turned to the burgeoning rap scene in North Carolina, with Latruth dropping a few words of wisdom that translates to the rap game at large. Latruth told the BagFuel hosts that while there’s a lot of talent in North Carolina, the only way the city can rise to the top is if rappers unite and work toward success together. He says that things could be much better if everyone wasn’t living in competition with each other, especially when it comes to hip hop. “If everybody can come together and realize we can all eat together, promote each other and all that, I can see big things happening,” he said. “It’s not just North Carolina, it’s any city or any state that has talented artists. If people come together and stop fighting against each other it could be major.” Do you agree with Latruth? http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/HBO5c8m3eIcView the full article
  17. Beyoncé Knowles Carter and Jay-Z, née Shawn Carter, have been the music industry's most recognizable and powerful couple for a very long time. Worth a whopping $1 billion-plus combined, the couple still managed to take some time off their busy schedules to spend time with each other and their children. Beyoncé is currently working on the roll-out for her latest Ivy Park x Adidas line Icy Park, while Jay-Z has been busy at work building up his marijuana brand Monogram. Yet and still, the couple still celebrated the romantic holiday weekend together. The "Sorry" singer shared a graphic to her Instagram page prepping for a romantic lover's day weekend with her long-time hubby Jay-Z set to the 2003 Outkast track "Happy Valentine's Day." Adding a simple heart-swarmed emoji, the notoriously private 24-time Grammy winner let fans in on her evening. She rocked a tight Alessandra Rich leather miniskirt flaunting the bootylicious curves that earned the word a spot in the Oxford Dictionary. Completed with a white top, and red sunglasses, heels, purse, and nails, Bey was clearly in the Valentine's spirit. She showed off her pedicure in a separate shot, including her matching "IV" tattoo with hubby Jay-Z. She shared a shot of the two of them dining at upscale Italian eatery Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica and an additional shot of departing the restaurant. Although their union was slightly disrupted by Jay-Z's infidelity that rocked their family, the pair seems to be happier than ever now. 18. YNW Bortlen continues to hold it down in YNW Melly's absence, releasing a bunch of new tracks of his own. Melly's co-defendant is a free man, being released from jail a few months ago while his counterpart remains locked up. Following up his "ICEEE" release, which served as his first offering of the new year, YNW Bortlen continues to make a name for himself with "Lovey Dovey", his new record featuring buzzing rapper Toosii. "Lovey Dovey" finds YNW Bortlen finding melodies adjacent to those of his incarcerated best friend, singing in a style that fans will co-opt as Melvin's. The song is produced by Dmac, and it serves as yet another taste of what to expect from YNW Bortlen's upcoming debut album, which is expected out in the coming months. What do you think? Quotable Lyrics: It's all about the grind, feelings don't fit in Shawty say she miss me but I ain't tryna miss these bands I don't want no kisses, bae, I'm tryna get my money up Broken heart, no love, quick to cut a b*tch off http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/2xP7qSi8x4AView the full article
  19. Boosie Badazz loves to talk and, oftentimes, he shares too much. The Baton Rouge-based rap legend has a tendency of making headlines with his frequent interviews on VladTV, speaking about some of the hottest topics in music and pop culture. During his recent talk with the platform, he got to speaking about Lori Harvey, with both the interviewer and interviewee spewing misogynistic comments about the supermodel and the list of men she's dated in the last few years. Jamie McCarthy/Getty ImagesAfter DJ Vlad brought up Lori Harvey's "body count", which allegedly includes Trey Songz, Diddy, Diddy's son Justin Combs, music manager Buu, Future, Lewis Hamilton, and Michael B. Jordan, Boosie was asked for his thoughts on Lori. He claimed that he believes the men she has been with deserve more credit for "running through a woman like [that]." Bryan Bedder/Getty Images"I think we need to stop giving the women the power with situations like this," said Boosie to start his questionable take. "Girls keep saying it's 'goals' but this is not goals. We gotta start giving the bachelors, the men, who are running through a beautiful woman like this the credit. Who not housing her, running through her. The last time I went to Diddy's house, him and Buu was together. They dogs! I know Lori is a beautiful woman but we gotta stop giving the glory to the women. What about the bachelors? What about the Futures? The Trey Songz? Who are really bending through these hoes? We gotta start giving them the credit instead of Lori." Uh, okay? Vlad went on to make some misogynistic comments of his own, saying that Lori is a beautiful girl but he wouldn't "put her at the absolute top" of his personal list. She probably wouldn't put him there, either. Watch the video above to hear Boosie's full comments about Lori Harvey, where he claims that he would sleep with the model but would never marry her. For Valentine's Day, Michael B. Jordan spoiled his "turtle" Lori by bringing her to an aquarium, having a private dinner surrounded by underwater animals, and decking out the joint with roses galore. 20. Jhené Aiko and Big Sean have been linked to each other for what seems like forever. Even with some bumps in the road here and there, the couple has remained pretty visibly in love since first uniting in 2016. 21. Many were quick to take notice of Buffalo rapper Ponzo Houdini following his appearance in Griselda's first film Conflicted, and now the rapper has come through with his first project since the big appearance. With collaborations alongside Future, Benny The Butcher, Zaytoven, and OJ Da Juiceman under his belt, it's clear that Houdini knows what he's doing behind the mic. That much is made evident across his latest release You Know The Vibes II, a 9-track album featuring assists from Tsu Surf, Mack Millz, Adiyon Dashalon, and Kenyada Niklie. Released on his own imprint Cake Boss Entertainment, Ponzo's new drop is essential listening for anyone who appreciates gritty lyricism and street reflections. There are even a few bangers to be found throughout, including on the frantic string-driven "Spin The Block," an early highlight that finds Houdini spitting an uptempo flow. On the other hand, Ponzo shows no hesitation to slow things down and get introspective, as he does on the societally-charged "BLM." There's plenty to unpack here, and should you be looking for something new to place on your radar, Ponzo Houdini will likely check off a few boxes at the very least. If you've heard the project, sound off with your thoughts on "You Know The Vibe II" right here in the comments below. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/0_Y6lQzrVwkView the full article

  24. Sometimes, an album simply has staying power. A refreshing quality in this era of instant gratification, during which projects are churned out at a breakneck pace. It's part of the reason why Kendrick Lamar is widely regarded as a generational talent, an artist capable of penning challenging prose while shaping and steering the cultural sound. While many fans are eagerly awaiting the release of his new album, it's clear that DAMN has yet to fade from the public's consciousness. Chris Weeks/Getty ImagesSo much so that it has been a mainstay on the Billboard 200 charts for a staggering two hundred consecutive weeks, as reported by HipHopDX. That means it has been present since its release in April 2017, climbing up and down throughout the years but never enough to leave entirely. Should it remain on the Top 200 for another five weeks, Kendrick's DAMN will have officially spent four years straight on the charts. It's no wonder that Kenny has opted to take his time in releasing a new album -- though it's likely his next project will quickly make itself at home on the charts upon its eventual release. Though the debate about Kendrick's best album will forever rage on, it's evident that DAMN will have amassed a sizable group of supporters in the years since it has been released. After all, the project did earn Kendrick his first Pulitzer Prize, an honor that speaks to his incredible songwriting acumen. Clearly, even the most challenging lyricism can find commercial success -- look no further than the success of DAMN, still going strong after all these years. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/Nok2YBCylkoView the full article
  25. Things got a little out of hand after Wack 100, known for being The Game and Blueface's manager, jumped into the feud between Tekashi 6ix9ine and Meek Mill. This weekend, 6ix9ine ran up on Meek Mill at the club, instigating and randomly quoting Pooh Shiesty during an altercation in the parking lot. The Brooklyn rapper has been clowned consistently for his involvement in the fight, and so has Meek Mill for dragging it with comments on social media. Wack 100 chimed in and claimed that "the rat is up one", which Meek did not take kindly too. He spent much of his energy combatting Wack 100 with heated messages on the man's pages, and it looks like Wack 100 took to the studio to get his aggression out. A few hours ago, Wack posted a video of himself in the booth, previewing a new diss track that he will release on Tuesday for Meek Mill. "Single dropping in the morning: #TheRatAttackedTheCat," said Wack as his caption. He also shared a video reenactment of the shenanigans between Meek and 6ix9ine, showing a man in a rat costume getting thrown against a car while he yelled "Back In Blood" lyrics. 6ix9ine's comeback effort has been eventful as he continues to tease new music on social media. His altercation with Meek was likely a ploy to generate attention to his career resurgence, which he hopes will take off following the unfortunate sales figures for his latest album TattleTales. We'll keep you posted on this developing story when/if Wack 100 actually releases the diss record. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/kYAHwzsijd4View the full article
