Bands May Run, But They Can't Hide
moodyblue replied to Lord_of_the_Dense's topic in Music & Entertainment News
I'd like to see Vh1 reunite the band ICEHOUSE......(or are they still together?) I have not kept up with them lately..... -
My first pet was a dog named Susy, had her when I was little. She was a water spaniel- black and brown. When I was a bit older I had a dog named Candy...she was a stray, mixed, not sure what. Then I got a cat- she was grey and white...Misty was her name. She was the sweetest cat.....she had two litters....from the first came Miss Kitty (I kept her when I had to get rid of my other cats- long story), Cleo, Socks, and one I can't remember her name, that litter was all black and white. Sadly I lost Miss Kitty in 2002 and I still miss her. The second litter Misty only had three, Cheechee (she was named after one of my aunts cats) and Kissyfur (my brother named her- he was young at the time) and Cali- short for calico. And now I have a dog named Taco...I did not name her.....she was abandoned at a pet kennel where a friend of mine use to work, anyway she wanted me to "foster" her till they found a home and I ended up keeping her. She is a mix..half rat terrier and one of those "Taco Bell" dogs ( forgot how to spell it!!). The good thing is she is potty trained!!!

I wish Pierce Brosnan would do one or two more Bond films!! I have never seen "The Hulk" and I have yet to see "Troy", so I don't know who Bana is yet. -

Happy Friday 7/30/04. Wassup for the Weekend?
moodyblue replied to DudeAsInCool's topic in Kickin' it
For what's left of the weekend....had to work on friday, and I have to work on saturday. But I am off on Sunday! I might go to a movie with a friend of mine, don't know which one yet. TTFN :) -
I too am a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers fan. I have seen them in concert twice, they put a great show. I too think Tom sometimes sounds like Bob Dylan.... "Wildflowers" is a good cd. My favorite song is "It's Good To Be King". Its Good to Be King - Tom PettyTom was great as a Wilbury too........ TTFN :)
-
Pink Floyd...."Time" is another good one! TTFN :)

Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Fest • 6/4-6/6
moodyblue replied to Lord_of_the_Dense's topic in Music & Entertainment News
I wanted to go to that!! It was my birthday weekend (6/5), but I couldn't afford to go and I had to work that weekend anyway. (I only live 4 hours away!!!) :( I would have loved to have seen Eric Clapton & Jeff Beck again. And of course all of the other greats. Another reason I wanted to go was because of Doyle Bramhall ll, the first time I saw him was with Roger Waters in 2000. I have also seen him a few times where I work, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, Houston (Woodlands) TX. And the one time I have seen Eric live, Doyle and his band opened for him. TTFN :) -
Animals is one of my favorite Pink Floyd albums..... The Wall is another one. TTFN :)

What's the best decade for producing great music?
moodyblue replied to Umma's topic in By The Decade
I agree with Moonglow and Umma about the 70s because of Pink Floyd..... I also think the 60s were good for producing great music.....the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and many more........ Some of the stuff out now is okay too!! TTFN :) -
I can't vote for just one Pink Floyd album......there is more than one good one on that list!! My choices are: 1) Dark Side of the Moon, 2) The Wall, 3) Wish You Were Here and 4) Animals. Relics is a good one too. I also think The Final Cut is a good album. Has anyone picked up the newly remastered "The Final Cut" with the song "When the Tigers Broke Free" add on yet? I have, and it sounds great! TTFN :)

I thought the Traveling Wilburys was a great line up too. A great bunch of musicians. And it is a shame they didn't do any live shows, that would have been a great show!! TTFN :)
