  1. Slum Goddess - Taco is a mix...she is half chihuahua and rat terrier...you can see the chihuahua in her face (her nose is a bit longer though).... I do have a picture of her, but I don't know how to get it from the disc it is on, to this web page (one thing I don't know how to do on the compter!! :( ) Taco was abandoned at a pet kennel my friend used to work at and when she left she took Taco with her...she (Taco) had been there for about 6 or 8 months when my friend started there...now she is somewhere she wont get left anywhere...because my friend would KILL me if I ever did that!! Tackdaddy...sorry to hear about jinx...that is a cute picture of him....
  2. :Here's to you: :drunk:  :par-taaay: HAPPY BIRTHDAY REDNECK!!!
  3. Nine Inch Nails right now, I just finished listening to Pretty Hate Machine..... Usually my mind is like a radio and the "stations" keep changing...so I could have two or three songs going at one time!! And that just drives me nuts!!!
  4. SG...I wasn't going to get another pet, cat or otherwise, but I have a friend that wont take no for an answer. I now have a dog, Taco, I was only going to "foster" her until we found a home for her, but I ended up with her anyway (because of the friend that wont take no for an answer). Taco is a good dog though, but I am a cat person all the way!
  5. SG and Dude...you both have handsome kitties!! This is a neat thread.... The more I read what Mr. Boo gets up to, it makes me miss my cat....MISS KITTY..sadly I lost her on 2/02/2002 :( had her since she was a kitten...she was my whole world....and I of course was her master/slave!! MISS KITTY ruled the house in a lazy kind of way (she takes after her mom, LAZY). Can't wait to see what Mr. Boo gets up too next!!
  6. On friday...nothing...I might go and see my friend..she and her mother just got back from England ...they went back for her cousin's wedding...or I might just read.....don't know yet Saturday...I liked to say that I was working the Deep Purple show at the Pavilion..but ticket sales were only in the 3000s (it holds 17,000) so I didn't get scheduled for that show :( (but if ticket sales pick up between now and saturday, I might still get to work it!!!) Sunday...don't know yet...I might make myself go through my closet and get rid of the stuff I don't wear anymore..... I have a feeling this is going to be a boring weekend for me.... :(

  9. I thought I was a packrat!! THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD EVER LET MY HOUSE/APARTMENT GET THAT WAY!!! I would have to make myself get rid of things, like in a massive garage sale!

  13. I am into Rush.... I have seen or should I say worked three Rush shows at the Pavilion and each time they put on a great show. I love watching Neil Pert play drums...he is an awesome drummer! :thumpin: They were at the Pavilion not too long ago...
  14. As many of you know, I work at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in the Woodlands,TX...well, on Sunday 8/22, I worked the 'Projekt Revolution' tour with Linkin Park and Korn and many others.... At the end of that show we had to hand out some cds (for the tour) and I grabbed a handfull (10 to be exact) that I would like to offer to my friends here at BeatKing... It is an enhanced cd that can be played on your computer for the full sampler experience (and on your cd player). 15. I had to pick them up on saturday night....well, I helped to stack them instead....they don't pay me enough to go and slip in the mud and break something..... Someone got fired, because they refused to go up and help....they were fired by our favorite supervisor that we love to hate!!
  16. PROJEKT REVOLUTION came to the Pavilion (Woodlands,TX) on 8/22..... They had a stage set up in the Gold lot (fenced off) and some other things going on there (don't know what, never made it over there). This area got started at 1:30pm On this stage were: Mike V and The Rats Instruction Downset No Warning Ghostface and Funeral 4 A Friend On the Main stage we had: Less Than Jake The Used Snoop Dogg Urban Action Figure Korn Z-Trip (ended up canceling) Linkin Park The music all day was loud and some of it not very good. Korn did their version of Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick in the Wall' and 'Goodbye Cruel World', they actually did a half way decent job on both songs. I think 'Another Brick' is on their new album. Linkin Park did okay. I really don't know any of their songs, so I can't say much about them. But they sure had the crowd going. It looked like Woodstock on the lawn/hill. We had some bad weather come through and the hill has been wet pretty much all week so that didn't help any. People were sliding down the hill. Most of them left covered in mud. And Thank God we didn't have to pick up lawn chairs!!
