When I was in Russia a few years ago, there were copied CDs everywhere. To make it worse our Visas meant that we couldn't leave the tour group. The tour guide clearly had his fingers in the traders pockets as we were dragged around the "authentic local markets" between each stop. The traders also would except anything but US$. Mecrifully some of them gave away a free shot of vodka if you bought more than 2 CDs, else I wouldn't have felt like I was in Russia at all.

There are scams easier to fool for than that. Sometimes they get a bot that rings peoples phone for a split second then hand up. Curious people who ring back to find out who left a "1 missed call" are stung with a nasty phone bill.

I think it is working properly. I have set up an unofficial beatking chat. drop by if you are on Ares. Tell me if it doesn't work for you. i am behind Shorewall, so i'm not sure if it will ever work.
