I'M BACK!!!!!!!

Hey, i'm back (if anyone cares) and if you want to hear the worst story about why I was gone (again if anyone cares) here goes:

I first left you guys when I bailed out of Arizona in late July (my first AZ summer...gets to damn hot here) and I pretty much left to visit friends in colorado, party, have a good time until I came back for my fall semester.

Well...around August 10 I get a call from my roomie saying the internet is all messed up and goes in and out (mostly out) so we put in a call to the trusty retarded asshole ISP (aka Cox) to come fix the problem. So first time it takes them two weeks to show up, and they just replace all cable wiring in the house. This fixes the problem, until about forty-five minutes after the tech left it went out.

Rather than bore you guys with super details, if you couldn't figure it out they didn't fix it and wouldn't fix it...I JUST got my internet back yesterday. We tried everything...switching ISPs to dialup (not going to work for four college guys living in a house, two engineering majors). We thought about DSL but in our area you get about 1/4 the speed for more the twice the price of cable, so we decided to wait it out, not knowing it would take them literally more than two months to fix it...

So long story short (too late) I hate Cox and if I ever see any of their employees it'll be bad times (a grand total of 24 yes TWENTY FOUR techs visited our house over two months, not ever fixing a god damn thing).

Again, i'm SOOO glad to be back with internet (if I had to do it over again, I think i'd rather just die than not have internet) and I look forward to spamming everyone to death...I got lots of making up to do

Wow!! Your shit was worse than mine. It only took SBC 3 weeks to fix my dsl. On the first phone call I told them it was the modem had been struck by lightning. If I had not told them the problem, it may have taken them 2 months as well. There are some stupid Mother%^$@ working in lots of places. It seems that cable and dsl have the highest percentage of morons to be found in any industry.

The industry does seem to be full of stupid asses...I mean, as much as I love hearing about how some dumbass tech thinks coaxial cable works one hour after I get home from my electrical networks class which we discuss the same topic...ugh...i'm just gald for it to be over. We just have to sort out the billing now, which i'm sure they'll screw us over for being that we're young college students. City of Tempe (aka bastards that hate college kids) already fined our property for having excessive weed growth (although we don't have any, and half the other houses on our block do) and not having house numbers prominent enough.

I finally got dsl back today after 5 weeks since it was ordered. They didn't give me a penny compensation. So stressful isnt it? Just want to kill, but there is a helplessness that not even that will help.

Whoa guys, I feel the love in this post. :P Now may not be the best time to mention that I just got my technology degree. Ouch yall. FYI I have heard Cox sucks in GA as an ISP too. Repairing technology problems is not as always as easy to fix as you might think. And we get just as frusterated or I do anyway.
