CNN

An 11-year-old boy was charged Wednesday with sexually assaulting a 76-year-old neighborhood woman in her home as three of his friends stood watch.

Police said that for a week before the attack, the boys had been "terrorizing" the woman in her house, repeatedly breaking in and taking cash and other items.

Oh gawd! I would beat the living **** out of my son, I promise you that. No 76 yr old deserves to be treated that way by anyone much less a GD child. If I were that poor womans family I'd be right there at that boys home asking where the hell he got this and where in the world were his parents!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that the influence of uncontroled internetting is NOT good for children!

However, you can hardly forbid it, but

When my kids were young, the 'strange influences' were: School, scouting, sports and TV, which I could control!

Nowadays kids have a PC on their own room.........

I do not BLAME the internet, I just think it has a part in these kind of things.

Obviously the boy is already beyond physical punishment.

Some would argue that this should have been administered sooner; I think it's just a lack of structured and "sane" influence, period. Obviously his parents and the rest of his family are major failures (and perhaps even criminals themselves), and you can see the mother is a complete moron in denial (double trouble).

Let's also remember, this was a SEXUAL assault. That takes an extra degree of morbidity to commit, and a warning sign of things to come in his adulthood.

Now its jail time, 11 years old or not. While they’re at it, they can throw the parents in jail too.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
