Even stranger is the fact that there is now a link to zeropaid chat on the front page again... curiouser and curiouser.

I changed the topic on #Beatbox, since I don't really consider it any site's chat... it is just a place for Zpers and Bkers, as well as others, to go and shoot the shit.

That is why I chose #Beatbox... it is a place to throw out thoughts, like old schoolin' it.

Hmmm... Was there an official transfer from ZP back to Moonie and crew? I thought the idea was to separate off so there wouldnt be future problems..

I honestly have no idea, as it is a shock to me also. CH is my best friend, a joy to work with as a mod, and our spiritual leader. The others i know are not there all that often, but CH is there every day, and IMHO a very important part of the site. I cannot comment further.

The idea was to have a chat for the people that used ZP chat, but we changed the name since there was no longer a chat link on the front page of ZP, and it seemed silly to be named after a site that didn't link us.

There was actually no problem with Zeropaid regarding chat... all mods were cool with it and some even came in from time to time (I know Jorge and Janett999 have been there before).

#Beatbox is just a random name thrown out... i want it to be chat for multiple sites, plus, there is quite a bit of overlap memberwise.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
