The NYTimes magazine ran an article about your nickname wingnut, but I'm not so sure I still get it, I'm thinking it means, you're a nut, that's winging it, but not so sure that's the meaning you attach to it. What's a wingnut?

A wingnut is like a screwball or an odd duck... it is just a bit outside the norm.

I think of it as being a social outlier. Not ostracized from society, more just outside of its conventions and codes.

I am cooking, BBIAB to go in a bit deeper.

I notice wingnut never came back from his meal to enlighten us further. Perhaps he died of food poisoning. Or more likely he realised there is nothing to be added to this excellent definition at urbandictionary.com

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
