'Soft porn' Paris Hilton TV ad slammed

A watchdog group known for its campaigns against on-air indecency is protesting a popular fast-food commercial featuring celebrity heiress Paris Hilton seductively sudsing both a car and herself.

The Parents Television Council said it is encouraging its more than 1 million members to voice their disapproval of the ad to Carl's Jr, a hamburger chain owned by Carpinteria, California-based CKE Restaurants.

Agree - the commercial had little to do with a hamburger. It aroused a feeling of needing something in me, but not a humburger.

Disagree - we have these things called "remote controls", and "v-chips". If you want to be so AGAINST this kind of commercialism, lobby to make commercials include v-chip ratings. My children have tv's in their rooms, with cable, oh my god! However, they have access only to nickelodeon, abc family, disney, and cartoon network. Coupled with v-chip ratings, a large portion of things I "might" worry about are inaccessable.

However, my kids attend public school. They have friends. Eventually they will hear curse words, and inevitably may play "show me yours, and I'll show you mine." Life happens people.
