The Bad...........

I.E. = Security threat

FireFox = Compatibility problems and in my experience, more crashing.

The Good............

I.E. = It supports everything, pretty stable in my experience..

FireFox = Very secure, open source, is getting better.

All in all though, the ultimate browsing experience is still separated into two pieces. I use FireFox though, and will use IE only when needed. A pain in the ass, but all I can do really.

in my limited experience, any compatibility problems occur when website builders don't adhere to Web Standards but that's just me, your mileage may vary.

FEBRUARY 10, 2005 (TECHWORLD.COM) - Companies should think twice before jumping on the Firefox bandwagon, according to research firm Gartner Inc.

The open-source browser has been gaining market share steadily over the past few months, helped by industry support and user enthusiasm, but Firefox isn't the unstoppable juggernaut it might seem.

Browser switching is taking place at the level of individual users, rather than organizations, and some of the factors that make Firefox more appealing than Internet Explorer are likely to go away as the browser gets to be more popular, according to Gartner analysts Ray Valdes, David Mitchell Smith and Whit Andrews.

this using opera 8.....the same happened with firefox..all browsers except firefox seem to be ok now.... :(

I started using firefox about a year ago and in my opinion it is ten times the broswer exploder is.I haven't had a single trojan or popup window since I began using it,my exploder just lies dormant now with cobwebs strung across its address bar.

It's all a matter of taste,some die hard exploder users will never switch and some die hard open source junkies will always strive for more.

Use what you like,God wont mind :smokin:

Yah...i'm a mix between opera and firefox...but i've just about switched to all firefox. Gotta love those nift downloads you can get. I do still keep IE around because there are just some pop up/stream video things that just will not work without IE

well im a mix between opera and firefox, and i have recently been using opera 8 beta all the time so i guess it goes either way
