  1. Pretty sophisticated rock - I liked the third cut The Great Decay the best. Their bio says: By turns wildly dissonant (“Some Red Handed Slight of Hand,” “A Gentleman Caller”) and beautifully restrained (“Driftwood: A Fairy Tale,” “The Recluse”), the organ and cello lines, thundering rhythms and disjointed guitars mesh in a symbiotic relationship with Kasher’s narrative—replete with recurring themes and a resolution that ultimately leaves the players and listeners both sated and spent-- that seems fairly appropriate. Make yourself at home, Mr V, and thanx again for the post :scratchin:
  2. Gotta link to their website or their music samples so we can check it out? :strumma:
  3. Welcome to BK, V-Man. Now we have a member who can fill us in on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame :scratchin:
  4. Thursday, February 10, 2005 SF Activist Says Prostitutes Perfect For ‘Ho-Land’ Security SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) – If George W. Bush really wants to protect America, he should create a “Department for ‘Ho-Land’ Security.” That’s the advice of San Francisco-based sex worker advocate Carol Leigh, who says cities can cut down on crime and terrorism by having prostitutes patrol the streets. Leigh figures the presence of prostitutes can deter burglaries, drug dealing and other crimes that thrive on isolated streets. It’s not a new idea. Leigh says law enforcement officials throughout history have used prostitutes as lookouts and informants. In fact, today’s cops regularly pressure prostitutes into reporting crimes – but Leigh says it’s a form of blackmail. http://www.flashnews.com/news/wfn1050210J14271.html

  13. Jacko 'Kidnap' Victims Lived It Up Yesterday there were reports that Michael Jackson's band of "kidnappers" had held a mother and her three kids (two sons and a daughter) "hostage" at the Country Inn and Suites in Calabasas, Calif., in Feb. 2003. Calabasas is a beautiful, verdant suburb of Los Angeles, replete with million-dollar homes and gated communities. It's not exactly a back alley in South Central. Several weeks after their expulsion from Neverland and Jackson's world, the family (the one at the heart of the current Jackson child-molestation case) told a lawyer that the elder son, 13, had been molested by Jackson and that he had also held the family hostage. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,146948,00.html

  16. It's nice and easy to use. And its great that users can forward stuff on to their friends. I would probably change the background graphic to have it portray something related to music. You might want to augment it to allow people to post their own lyrics, too, and some type of introduction. Nice work. ( FYI--I noticed a small glitch on this page: there are duplicates of every song on The Beatles' A Hard Days Night.. http://lyrics.opendb.net/artist/albums/beatles/384)
