  1. Back in May, Microsoft announced that a new Minecraft game would be arriving soon, and it would implement augmented reality technology. Now, that release window has been narrowed down. Starting in October, the real world is going to get a lot more pixelated. Game developer, Mojang, revealed the release details for Minecraft: Earth during the 2019 MiNECON Live event. The game will enter an early access stage next month for iPhone and Android devices. As for content, the game’s website says, “Minecraft Earth is an all-new augmented reality game for your mobile device, that lets you bring Minecraft into the real world. Go on exciting adventures, build something incredible together with friends, and then step into your life-sized creations! Minecraft Earth will be available on iOS 10+ and Android 7+ devices.” You’ll also be able to “Collect” which is described as, “Minecraft Earth features many of the mobs you know and love, along with a bunch of new ones. Over time, you’ll get the chance to breed unique variants, and use them to populate your builds.” Perhaps this will be similar to another wildly popular augmented reality go, Pokémon GO. In addition to the release information, a new trailer for the game was also released. Check it out below. View the full article
  2. Legendary hip hop radio host, Angie Martinez, just premiered her new series, Untold Stories of Hip Hop, on WeTV last Thursday. As can be surmised from the name, on the show, Martinez interviews old and new friends of the industry in order to extract confidential information about what goes on behind-the-scenes in this chaotic world. For the first episode, Martinez brought on Snoop Dogg, with whom she goes way back. The two recollected the heated hip hop landscape of the 90s due to fierce regional rivalries. Whenever East Coast and West Coast artists were gathered under the same roof for an award show, tension was at an all-time high and every interactions threatened to detonate. The 1996 MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall was one of these occasions. Snoop and Martinez both recall seeing Tupac and Nas encounter one another that night, but Snoop provided the details of the words that were exchanged. Snoop explained that Nas "didn't have a lot of people with him, but he had a lot of people with him, if you know what I'm saying" - meaning, Nas was well-protected by his strapped friends, as he was in his hometown. "I'm seeing 'em with their hands on they guns," Snoop continued. Nas introduced himself to Pac as a big fan of his music, but Pac wasn't having it. Pac apparently made clear to Nas that he wasn't messing with any East Coast rappers by mentioning how he dissed Nas, Biggie and Jay-Z on a song. Despite Pac's hostility, Nas was still trying to spread love, hugging Pac and assuring him that he'd never diss him. Christopher Polk/Getty Images Martinez and Snoop then discussed the day following the VMAs, when Snoop went on Martinez's HOT 97 radio show. In the interview, Snoop said that he was cool with the East Coast and was down to work with them, which sent Pac into a conniption. Snoop then recalled having to fly back from New York to Los Angeles with Pac and his crew. No one would speak to Snoop, so he sat at the back of the plane alone, gripping a fork and knife under a blanket in case anyone attacked him. Snoop still tried to patch things up with Pac when getting off the flight, but Pac shooed him away. That was the last time they saw each other. Snoop went on to disclose more untold stories, one being when Suge wouldn't let the founders of Uber discuss investment opportunities with Snoop in a club back in 2013. Considering this was during the massive company's nascent period, Snoop's investment could've resulted in major returns. Of course, Snoop still didn't seem too salty about Suge blocking this bag. 4. The Miami Dolphins are 0-3, and it appears the team will try to keep tanking. The Dolphins tank season is being supported by many fans who believe the team needs to do horrible in order to secure some top draft picks. TMZ recently caught up with T-Pain, who is a born and bred Floridian. Back in 2009, T-Pain worked with the Dolphins to rerecord the official fight song. The TMZ reporter took that as a hint that T-Pain was a Dolphins fan, but it doesn't look like that is the case. According to T-Pain, he isn't really a big sports guy in the first place. "I been associated with them, don't have to be a fan to get money," T-Pain stated of his affiliation with the Dolphins. When the reporter asks if T-Pain gave up on the team for being so bad, he jokes and says he stopped associating with them because they stopped offering money. He admits that he isn't a "team" person, and has no allegiance to any franchise unless they are paying him. T-Pain also suggests that players aren't even fans of their own teams, and that they are just there to make money. Check out the full video below. View the full article
  5. Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes sat down at West Hollywood’s Herbarium Recreation Dispensary earlier this week to meet with fans and promote three unique strands of weed for sale. The strains were made in partnership with Caviar Gold and are named Snoogans, Snoochie, and Berzerker to fall in line with Mewes’ catchphrases from the film Clerks. "It's amazing. It’s cool because the movies have been based on our characters. They sold weed and they did it illegally. When Kevin wrote Clerks, he based Jay on me 100 percent. That’s what I acted like, that’s what I did. Everything but sold weed. So it's really cool that so many years later that Jay can actually sell weed and sell it legally. It really made the character come full circle and made me Jason Mewes come full circle." Smith added, "After 25 years of being fake weed dealers, it feels nice to be real weed dealers. It’s amazing. In terms of the movie, I was always hoping that when the movie comes out the weed will be out there. And the movie will go away quicker than the weed ever will so I’m kind of hoping that the weed just kind of keeps going. It would be a nice legacy for the flick." Jay and Silent Bob Reboot will arrive in theaters on Oct. 15. View the full article
  6. It seems like every other week there's a new story about DaBaby or his entourage getting into an altercation. Soon, venues are going to start charging for heightened security or expensive insurance policies just to have DaBaby around. As reported by TMZ, DaBaby's live set on Saturday night (September 28) was shut down after the rapper's security knocked a female fan out cold. As seen in the footage below, DaBaby hops into the crowd to perform, as he often does. The fans in the crowd were hype to see him amongst them, and females began to swarm him and attempt to get a picture. DaBaby pushes off one lady promptly as she tries to get a selfie next to the rapper while he does his thing. DaBaby proceeds into the crowd further at this point, then a female fan runs up to him and tries to take more pictures with him. That's when DaBaby's security unloads a few heavy haymakers on the fan. The security guard looks like he could lift a horse, while the female fan looks like she may struggle to lift a 20lb weight. The punches knocked the female out cold. TMZ reports that her friends were able to get her up and out of the venue, and no police were called. Check out the footage below. View the full article
  7. We've all been subject to receiving the wrong piece of mail before but an Austrian couple really took the cake when they opened a package they thought was a retail order of dresses but turned out to be a ton of Ecstasy. According to CNN, the package was sent from the Netherlands and was supposed to end up in Scotland. U.S. Customs/Newsmakers "The originally planned cozy breakfast was quickly over and to the horror of the couple, it turned out that, though one of the packages did contain the two dresses, the second however had 24,800 Ecstasy tablets worth about €500,000 (roughly $550,000)," police said in a statement. "The (post) office was equally astonished, which is why the police, and subsequently the narcotics department of the City Police Command Linz, was informed." When the woman first opened the package, she mistook the pills as "decorative stones" until her husband realized the real damage. Earlier this year, the Netherlands was reported as one of the world's largest drugs producers and drugs sent via mail "tripled from 137 kilograms (302 pounds) in 2016 to 460 kilograms in 2018." "This is a live investigation and enquiries are ongoing," UK's National Crime Agency said of the recent Ecstasy case. View the full article
  8. It feels like the entire world has something to say about Tekashi 6ix9ine. The rainbow-haired rapper has been the inspiration of several memes over the last week, since he snitched on his old gang and other rivals and peers in court. Although several rappers believe that Tekashi is finished, including The Game, Snoop Dogg, Meek Mill, and 50 Cent, TDE's Punch thinks that the rainbow-haired rapper still has a shot at success. "I could be wrong but I don’t think the kids who was/is really rocking with that kid’s music care ANYTHING about a street code," stated Punch. "The ppl who were at his shows just want to rage and wild out and burn that energy off." It looks like Tekashi feels the same way. According to TMZ, their sources within Tekashi's camp claim that the rapper thinks anyone hating on him right now is envious or even fearful of his return. Tekashi believes that when he is back out he will return to business as usual, which would include making hit records (in his opinion). Tekashi believes that the public will almost instantly forgive him and he'll be back to making money. Although that sounds a little naive, Tekashi's fan base is mainly comprised of younger kids who may not care about street code or snitching. What do you think? View the full article
  9. Facebook might be doing away with its current like system. Starting in Australia, the company will be testing a new system that hides the count of likes and other types of engagement for posts. Users will still be able to like and react to posts but the count will now only be visible to the person who created the original post A spokesperson for Facebook told Variety, “We are running a limited test where like, reaction, and video view counts are made private across Facebook. We will gather feedback to understand whether this change will improve people’s experiences.” This new decision is similar to a move Instagram made earlier this year in Canada, Australia, Brazil, Ireland, Italy, Japan and New Zealand. “We are testing this because we want your followers to focus on the photos and videos you share, not how many likes they get," an Instagram spokesperson told Techcrunch. "[...] We understand that this is important for many creators, and while this test is in exploratory stages, we are thinking through ways for them to communicate value to their brand partners." So far, Facebook has not decided whether it plans to test the new idea in other regions of the world according to Engadget. View the full article
  10. Halsey is one of the biggest pop stars in the world and the biggest pop stars tend to have the longest album rollouts. Although her third album, Manic, will only be released on January 17, 2020, we're already receiving its third single. The album's first single, "Without Me", was released last year and attained the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100 in January, making it her first #1 as a lead artist. Despite premiering Manic's second single, "Graveyard", at Rihanna's Savage x Fenty show just a few weeks ago, Halsey decided to drop "Clementine" today in honour of her 25th birthday. "Clementine" is a stripped-back track, driven by simple piano tinkling and some subtle clunking for percussion. It can be deemed as the centrepiece of Manic for thematic reasons. Every line contradicts the previous, constantly pulling in opposite directions while evidencing a clarity that holds it all together. Halsey is "constantly havin' a breakthrough... or a breakdown." She boasts, "In my world, I'm seven feet tall," yet "people on the street don't know my name." The contradictions of the chorus are accentuated by Halsey echoing herself in disparate voices. One is melancholic, the other exuberant. She independently declares that she doesn't need anyone and then immediately after shrinks with the confession that she "just [needs] everyone and then some." Watch the music video for "Clementine" below, in which Halsey is joined by her brother to do some interpretive dancing at an aquarium. View the full article

  16. Antonio Brown has been a popular man when it comes to headlines these days. The superstar wide receiver has been exhibiting some bizarre antics and has found himself embroiled in numerous controversies. Yesterday, Brown claimed he would be making his way back to the NFL quite soon and even got into a back and forth Twitter beef with Los Angeles Rams safety Eric Weddle. Simply put, Brown is coming for everyone's neck and he doesn't really care who he offends in the process. Lost in the midst of his Twitter antics yesterday, was the fact that he threw some lowkey shade at none other than sportswear giant, Nike. It was revealed just a couple of weeks ago that Nike had dropped their endorsement deal with Brown and now, he's speaking out on it. In a tweet, Brown simply said "No more Nikes." Brown didn't stop there as he also liked a tweet which pointed out some hypocrisy on Nike's part. The tweet in question featured a screenshot from an article about how soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo had been accused of rape. As the fan points out, Ronaldo never lost his Nike sponsorship due to the allegations, while Brown did. It's clear the embattled NFL star has a few grudges right now and these tweets are his way of showing his frustrations. The only question now is: what will Brown do next? View the full article
  17. No one has taken the NFL world by storm this season quite like Jacksonville Jaguars backup quarterback Gardner Minshew. The world was introduced to the mustachioed man after he replaced Nick Foles during the first game of the season. Minshew was cool, calm, and collected in the pocket and was completing the vast majority of his passes. Fans seemed to be surprised by Minshew's raw talent and once people found out what he looked like, they immediately deemed him a legend. Simply put, Minshew is a man in his early 20s, yet he looks like a 40-year-old actor from the 1970s. His appearance immediately drew comparisons to the likes of Burt Reynolds and even Uncle Rico from Napolean Dynamite. If you remember, Uncle Rico lived out of an RV and consistently bragged about his days as a college quarterback. Funny enough, the Jaguars took notice and had the two meet each other. Of course, this led to a nice little photo-op on Twitter. As soon as the photo made the rounds on social media, fans got excited at the prospect of some video content between the two. Uncle Rico is a bit of a cult legend when it comes to football pop culture, while Minshew has become an overnight sensation. The mere thought of Minshew and Uncle Rico attempting to throw a football "over them mountains" should be exciting. Here are some of the best reactions to the meetup. View the full article
  18. Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma will reportedly miss at least the first three weeks of training camp as a result of the foot injury he suffered this summer while training with Team USA. The Lakers announced that Kuzma is recovering from a stress reaction in his left foot and is scheduled for an MRI when the team returns from China in mid October. The 24-year old forward averaged 18.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in his second season with the Lakers last year. The Lakers training camp gets underway on Saturday and the team will travel overseas for a pair of preseason games in China against the Brooklyn Nets. The first game will take place in Shanghai on October 10, followed by a game in Shenzhen on October 12. Kuzma is expected to travel with the team for those games but he has not been cleared for full practice or game participation. The Lakers will open the 2019-20 regular season on October 22 as they take on the new-look Los Angeles Clippers in the second game of TNT's opening night double-header. View the full article
  19. LeBron James is the biggest star in the NBA and when it comes to social media, he certainly plays the part. The Lakers superstar can consistently be seen on his Instagram story cracking jokes and lauding over his sacred family tradition of Taco Tuesday. Yesterday, LeBron got into his beauty bag for a second as he donned a wig and started telling his fans that he had grown his hair out. Clearly, LeBron was joking around here but he seemed pretty convinced of his own madness. Throughout the video, James is playing around with his daughter, saying eventually he's going to have braids just like her. James is definitely playing the embarrassing dad role here and he does it quite well. It must be interesting being a fly on the wall in LeBron's household as he turns on that forward-facing camera and starts doing his thing. Once the video was picked up on Twitter, fans immediately took notice and started sounding off on LeBron's antics. Many were amused by LeBron's new hairstyle while others delivered some irrational hate. LeBron is a polarizing player and whenever he does something, people have an opinion to share on it. Having said that, check out some of the best reactions below and let us know what you think of LeBron's new look. View the full article
  20. Jacksonville Jaguars Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey is not with the team as they prepare for their Week 4 matchup in Denver and if he gets his wish, he won't be with the team in any weeks thereafter. Ramsey, who is currently in Nashville awaiting the birth of his daughter, opened up about is trade request on a recent episode of the Uninterrupted's "17 Weeks" Podcast. The disgruntled corner explains that respect has been lost, and that his trade request still stands. "I'm not sure if I've played my final game for the Jags yet or not, but my trade request still stands," Ramsey said (H/T NFL.com). "For me, respect is a huge thing. I kind of touched on it a little back in last week's podcast. Once respect is lost for both parties, I think it is time to part ways. "I'm going to continue being a top corner in this league for years to come. The money will come, but money isn't everything. Peace and happiness means a lot more than the money." Ramsey, 24, requested a trade following Jacksonville's loss to the Houston Texans in Week 2, though he suited up for their Week 3 victory over the Tennessee Titans. He says he spoke with his teammates before the trade demands were made public, claiming, "there was not one teammate that did not show their support" for him. In regards to the Week 3 victory in Jacksonville: "I'll say the emotion really came from the unknowns," Ramsey explained (H/T NFL.com). "Not knowing if that was gonna be the last game with my teammates, not knowing how the fans would interact out there. Would I be getting boos out there? Would I be getting cheers out there? Just not knowing the speculation and all the talk going on and leading up to it, and not knowing how focused my teammates would remain through all the distractions that everyone tried to create." The Jaguars released a statement regarding Ramsey's absence earlier this week, in which head coach Doug Marrone said Ramsey would return "when he's ready." View the full article

  22. Every chance she gets, Reginae Carter shares the love she has for her father, Lil Wayne, with the world. The proud daughter often boasts about her dad's accomplishments and talents, so it wasn't surprising that she made sure she was one of the first people to wish him a Happy Birthday. 23. Less than 24 hours after reports circulated that he'd been arrested, Blac Youngsta shares the remix to his single, "Cut Up." The rapper was reportedly taken into custody in Houston after police found three firearms inside of a vehicle that Youngsta was a passenger in. The rapper was reportedly taken to Harris County Jail in downtown Houston, and there hasn't been news regarding his release. Meanwhile, Youngsta and his team aren't going to let any rumored trouble with the law deter him from rolling out new music. The Memphis rapper recently delivered his single "Forgiveness," and now he returns with his Tory Lanez and G-Eazy-assisted remix. The original version of the song comes from Youngsta's three-track mixtape of the same name that he released in May, and it looks like he's still breathing life into his five-month-old-project. Take a listen and let us know what you think. 24. It's been hours since DaBaby's KIRK has hit the streets and already it's a favorite among fans. The album, which dons the rapper's last name, not only features tracks where DaBaby boasts about his come up, but the record is rather thoughtful as the rapper shares his gains and losses. Within a year, DaBaby has become a leading force in the rap game and on KIRK he attempts to prove that he's able to repeat the successes of his debut hit album, Baby on Baby. With an album that hosts features from chart-topping artists, there are plenty of noteworthy tracks to choose from. We'll certainly highlight many of them as the days roll on, but we're going to begin by sharing "GOSPEL" featuring Chance The Rapper, Gucci Mane, and YK Osiris. The hook for "GOSPEL" mentions the loss of DaBaby's father, tragic news that the rapper received earlier this year. The North Carolina-bred emcee uses the song as a venting space where he writes about the struggles that have arisen with his newly-acquired fame and financial status. Chance and Gucci rap about their battles, as well, on their own verses, while YK Osiris and DaBaby handle the hook. Check it out and let us know what you think. 25. When it comes to shaming people on social media, 50 Cent is a professional. Two of his most recent targets were Power producer Randall Emmett and Emmett's fiancée, Bravo TV's Vanderpump Rules reality star, Lala Kent. The pair previously had beef with Fif after the rapper called out Emmett earlier this year over an alleged $1 million debt. The trolling was vicious, but when Kent jumped in to attack Fifty, the Power creator took things to a level that was downright cringe-worthy. After settling his massive debt with 50 Cent, Emmett returned to his luxurious life with Kent, that is until Kent recently did an interview. Boastfully, Kent stated that she had "receipts" to show that she got under the rapper's skin. According to Fif, the pair signed a repayment contract associated with $1 million debt and in it, it states that both Emmett and Kent were forbidden from making any public statement about the rapper. If they did, he was allowed to respond anyway he wanted without restrictions. Following Kent's most recent remarks, 50 Cent blasted the couple with videos, memes, and incessant trolling. They both did their best to ignore Fif's jabs, but it seems as if Randall is waving his white flag and is ready to make peace. He shared on Instagram and he's had enough, writing to Fif, "@50cent, time for us to bury the hatchet! I apologize, we never wanted to upset you and won’t happen again. Wishing you nothing but happiness and success!!" Surprisingly, the rapper has yet to respond. View the full article
