  5. It's a celebratory moment for the majority of us because President Donald Trump has taken his final steps out of the White House, boarding Marine One ahead of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration. In just a few hours, a new administration will be inaugurated, which means that Trump's horrific reign over the country is nearly complete. After four harsh years of casual xenophobia and racism, a deadly pandemic, and false claims of election fraud, the orange man is finally walking out of the White House for the final time. A video was captured of his final speech outside of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, showing the President and First Lady addressing a crowd of reporters before boarding Marine One as the Village People's "YMCA" blared over loudspeakers. "We have worked hard. As the athletes would say, we left it all on the field," said Trump. "In a month, when we're sitting in Florida, we're not gonna be looking at each other and say, 'you know, if we only worked a little bit harder'. You can't work harder. And we had a lot of obstacles. We went through the obstacles and we just got 75 million votes and that's a record in the history of sitting Presidents. That's an all-time record by a lot, by many millions, in the history of sitting Presidents." Of course, Trump also continued to spew his casual xenophobia by referring to the coronavirus as the China Virus. Did we expect any less? The moment ended as Trump took his final walk to Marine One with the First Lady, waving his farewell before hopefully disappearing forever. But that wasn't before he said he'd "be back in some form". Watch the moment above. [via] View the full article
  6. Today, January 20th, 2021, Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States. Between the rapidly-spreading COVID-19 pandemic and the potential threat of violence, this particular Inauguration ceremony has been scaled down for safety reasons. Though Biden and his Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will indeed take their oath live at the West Front of the Capitol, they will not be doing so in front of the crowds that have historically come out to spectate and celebrate the historic event. SAUL LOEB/AFP via Getty Images Instead, Biden and Harris's inaugural committee have arranged for the crowd to be replaced by hundreds of thousands of American flags, a symbolic representation of those unable to attend. That's not to say it will be entirely quiet; CNN cites spokesman Major Aaron Thacker, who confirms that over twenty-five thousand National Guard troops will be on-foot across Washington D.C. As it stands, Joe Biden is set to become President at 12PM EST, though he will not be met by former President Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump. For those interested in checking out today's Inauguration ceremony, we've compiled a few places interested parties can live stream the event, as well as the ensuing virtual festivities organized by the Biden camp. CNN has already begun their live stream coverage; The Biden Presidential Inaugural Committee will also be streaming it on their official website and on YouTube; CBS News provides coverage right here; ABC's coverage is here; and for those of a Republican bent, Fox News coverage is right here. We've also embedded the Inaugural Committee's stream for your convenience. Though Biden will be taking the stage at 12 PM, the National Anthem will be performed by Lady Gaga at 11:30 AM Est, with an additional musical performance from Jennifer Lopez. Later tonight, beginning at 8:30 PM EST, Tom Hanks will be hosting an Inauguration Day Special, featuring appearances from celebrities like Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato Justin Timberlake, and Ant Clemons. That special will be live-streamed at many of the aforementioned sources, as well as Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, Amazon Prime Video and more. View the full article
  7. Earlier this week, news outlets reported that Snoop Dogg had been secretly lobbying the White House on behalf of his friend, Death Row Records co-founder Michael "Harry-O" Harris to grant him a pardon. After successfully persuading the outgoing Trump administration, Harry-O''s sentence for attempted murder and cocaine trafficking has officially been granted clemency. Although previously an outward critic of Donald Trump, Snoop praised the administration for pardoning Harris in a Zoom call with prison reform advocates. In the conversation with Alice Johnson and Weldon Angelos, who both previously received pardons from Trump, the 49-year-old California-raised rapper commended Trump, saying "That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out." He added, "They did some great work while they was in there and they did some great work on their way out. Let them know that I love what they did.” Bennett Raglin/Getty Images for Strong Outdoor Snoop continued, “It is amazing what the work of God can actually bring to life to make people understand that there is a God.” The rapper learned his friend would be released from prison after Johnson announced, “I just got a call from the White House and Harry-O is getting clemency. He’s coming home, brother!” After hearing the news Snoop exclaimed, “God is good!” Andrew H. Walker/Getty Images Michael "Harry-O" Harris was arrested in 1988 and convicted of murder, cocaine trafficking, and attempted kidnapping. He was originally slated for release in June 2028. 8. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have never been the most private of people. For basically the entirety of her adult life, Kim Kardashian has allowed the world to watch her career, relationships, and family life play out on camera on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Her husband Kanye West has made sporadic appearances on the show, also letting the world hear his inner thoughts through Twitter rants and his music. The couple has seemingly been having a rough go at things recently, with many sources claiming that they could be looking into getting a divorce. Those reports have not been confirmed by Kim, Kanye, or any member of their immediate family. This week, it was reported that they "completely" stopped going to marriage counseling, with Kanye reportedly opting to speak with divorce lawyers in the coming days. The latest update on this unraveling story appears to involve the production of the final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, coming via Page Six and claiming that their relationship problems will be a core component of the last season. Lars Niki/Getty Images "The Kardashians intend to go out with a bang. They’ve filmed Kim discussing her marriage problems. But everybody involved is on a nondisclosure agreement, because the finale won’t screen until later in 2021," said a reported source to the publication. Other sources have told Page Six that Kim and Kanye are discussing settlements regarding split finances and properties. Somebody holler "we want prenup" one time on Kanye's behalf. On Kanye's side, the rapper reportedly "understands Kim’s side has to spin that she is sick of him. In reality, he’s been sick of being involved with [the] Kardashians for a long while. Especially her mother, who looms large in all big decisions she makes." Eugene Gologursky/Getty Images Despite that, West reportedly "seems to be enjoying the brouhaha surrounding his divorce. He is quite familiar with what the Kardashian public relations machine is capable of, and thinks it’s funny that her team is blaming his presidential run on the marriage disintegration." The twentieth and final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians will air later this year. [via] View the full article
  9. Kodak Black and Lil Wayne are likely feeling pretty gleeful this morning because, in a late-night pardoning spree, President Donald Trump granted clemency to both high-profile rappers. There had been rumors circulating for the last several days about how Trump planned to use his final full day in office to hand out approximately one hundred pardons, but he ended up surpassing that number, granting clemency or pardoning Wayne, Kodak, Steve Bannon, Kwame Kilpatrick, and 140 others. Unfortunately for "Tiger King" Joe Exotic, who had a limo waiting for him outside the prison, he was ultimately not pardoned. Of course, given the celebrity of Kodak and Wayne, the internet was pretty ecstatic to hear the news about them being punished to a lesser degree. Both of their names began immediately trending on Twitter with reactions pouring in from all corners. Christopher Polk/Getty Images People are sharing their favorite Kodak Black moments to celebrate his upcoming freedom, hoping that the 23-year-old can finally enjoy a stretch of his career where he's not incarcerated. As for Lil Wayne, the reaction is fairly mixed, given the rapper's endorsement of Trump for President, which left a sour taste in people's mouths. It's worth noting that the two rappers were granted clemency, and not pardoned outright. A pardon would indicate forgiveness for a specific crime, while clemency reduces the penalty for that crime without clearing your criminal record. We will keep you posted as further information is released regarding when Kodak Black will be released from prison, as well as Lil Wayne's situation. Check out some of the best reactions below. 10. The buzz on social media and throughout politics is the late-night list of 73 pardons and 70 commuted sentences that President Donald Trump has ordered in his final hours in office. We've already reported on Lil Wayne and Kodak Black receiving pardons from Trump, and also included in the list is Jay-Z's right-hand woman, Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez. Kevin Mazur / Contributor / Getty Images Perez has been a focal point of controversy in the Hip Hop industry after it was reported that she allegedly turned federal informant nearly three decades ago. In 1994, Perez was arrested on drug charges and four years later, she faced firearm and grand larceny charges. It's been said that she cooperated with the Drug Enforcement Administration and last year, Tekashi 6ix9ine called out Meek Mill and accused him of being "signed to a rat." In the President's official notice of Desiree Perez's pardon, the White House wrote, "Ms. Perez was involved in a conspiracy to distribute narcotics. Since her conviction, Ms. Perez has taken full accountability for her actions and has turned her life around. She has been gainfully employed and has been an advocate for criminal justice reform in her community.” Others on Trump's list of pardons include his former adviser Steve Bannon, Death Row co-founder Michael "Harry-O" Harris, former editor of the New York Observer Ken Kurson, and former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. According to The Washington Post, an administration official claimed that Trump was wandering through the White House asking aides, friends, and his associates if they wanted to be pardoned. The official said one person responded by telling the president that they didn't need a pardon because they hadn't done anything wrong. "Trump's response was, 'Yeah, well, but you never know. They're going to come after us all. Maybe it's not a bad idea. Just let me know,'" said the official. [via][via][via] View the full article
  11. There's a new trend among rappers and no, it's not a dance challenge. Grills have been a staple in Rap and Hip Hop for decades, but in recent years, we've seen more artists rid themselves of the permanent fixtures. Plenty of people sport temporary grills for a look, but in the Rap community, it's not uncommon for artists and their entourages to get permanent new teeth as fashion or as an act of displaying their wealth. Last year, YFN Lucci decided to remove his grills, and recently, Plies did the same. On Tuesday (January 19), Lil Yachty showed off his pearly whites and flexed his bright smile after getting some work done. Yachty was obviously relishing in his new look because he got on Instagram Live and acted out any and every scenario that would involve him smiling or flashing his teeth. "It's the white teeth show, man. N*gga's lookin' and feelin' excellent," said the rapper. "Imma smile for the rest of the week. For the rest of the month!" He had no problem telling the world how much he spent on his new set of veneers. "How much? $80K," said Yachty. "Eighty K on the smile. You know I'm gonna be smiling for a while." On his IG Live, Yachty spent most of the time staring at himself as he admired his dental work, and we can't blame him. Check it all out below and let us know if you'd pay $80,000 for a new set of teeth. View the full article
  12. There haven't been many Tekashi 6ix9ine sightings lately, so after a news reporter took to Twitter to claim that the rapper was involved in a robbery, there was a bit of confusion. Florida Fox Sports talk show host Andy Slater popped up with a tweet that caught the attention of 6ix9ine fans and foes, alike. "SLATER SCOOP: Rapper Tekashi69 is under investigation by Miami police after being involved in a possible strong-armed robbery, a senior law enforcement official tells me," he wrote hours ago. "The incident happened within the past hour." Details regarding the incident were scarce and Slater didn't offer up any other information until he gave his update. "After an investigation, the alleged victim made up most of his story, police sources tell me," he later tweeted. "The incident, which did involve Tekashi69, took place at a paintball shooting range in Miami. The rapper has been cleared of any wrongdoing." No additional details about the rapper's accuser have been shared. Since releasing his Tattle Tales project, 6ix9ine has kept a relatively low profile. His trolling antics have subsided for the time being, aside from his continued jabs at Lil Durk in the wake of King Von's murder. View the full article
  13. It's the 23rd hour for President Donald Trump as he's preparing to make his exit from the White House in the early morning hours tomorrow (January 20). President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris will transfer power and enter into their new positions, but prior to that taking place, there have been ongoing conversations regarding who will, and will not, be pardoned by the president at the last minute. We've previously reported on Snoop Dogg's successful lobbying on behalf of Michael "Harry-O" Harris, one of the co-founders of Death Row. Back in 1988, Harris was convicted of reported attempted murder and kidnapping charges but thanks to Trump, he has a new lease on life as his sentence has been commuted. Moments ago, more news regarding Trump's choices surfaced as it's been reported that both Lil Wayne and Kodak Black have also been granted a pardon by the president. "Trump pardoned rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black who were prosecuted on federal weapons offenses, as well as former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who was serving a 28-year prison term on corruption charges, a senior administration official said," tweeted a Reuters reporter. Soon, similar reports began to circulate indicating that the rumor could, indeed, be true. Kodak has been incarcerated on federal weapons charges while Wayne has recently pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges. Some reports state that Trump has granted both artists pardons, while others claim that they've been given clemency. With the former, both rappers would be forgiven of the charges against them, while the latter means that charges may be reduced. Check out a reported copy of the pardon below. View the full article

He's topped the charts with his music, he's starred in blockbuster film franchises, he's produced shows, he's a restauranteur, and he's graced the small screen on shows like The Simpsons and Fear Factor. Ludacris has been in the entertainment industry for decades, and while many others struggle to find their footing as it pertains to longevity, the rapper continues to roll out new projects. The latest for Ludacris is a feature titled Luda Can't Cook, as it suggests, we'll be seeing the Atlanta icon tackle the kitchen. Paras Griffin / Stringer / Getty Images The Will Packer-produced special will air on discovery+ as Chef Meherwan Irani helps Luda with his culinary skills. The rapper-actor has admitted that he loves food but is a disaster in the kitchen, so fans will watch him create culinary masterpieces. “I absolutely love food and have always appreciated the art of cooking, but I can’t lie—I have no idea what I’m doing in the kitchen,” said the restaurant owner. "I’m on a mission to change that and master one cuisine at a time—it’s going to be delicious.” Packer added, “The juxtaposition of a uniquely talented megastar like Luda against a backdrop that he has no real knowledge or skill set in makes for some highly entertaining shenanigans!" 15. Almost every famous Rap artist has someone in their entourage who is willing to go the distance for them. We've heard stories throughout the history of Hip Hop and Rap of people who have done bids for or taken hits on behalf of a celebrity, but if you ask YK Osiris, that's not a boss move. The R&B singer recently shared a few thoughts about "bosses" who surround themselves with plenty of people who are dedicated to their cause without elevating those same individuals into licensed, credible positions. Andrew Toth / Stringer / Getty Images "I'm talking to all my bosses out there that feel like they're bosses, I'm talking to just y'all," said Osiris. "If you got n*ggas 'round you that you thought that will shoot for you, kill for you, got to jail for you, you're selfish!" The singer argued that those "bosses" should put the people around them in positions to elevate, not take the fall. "To progress, to succeed with you, not be a liability to them and your organization. You're selfish," Osiris continued. "A lot of y'all have n*ggas 'round you that be liabilities and that's not cool. How you gonna explain to they mother? How you gonna explain to they lawyer when they need lawyer fees? That's why you be licensed and you put them in a position on a real job and not be just running around with you." Do you agree with YK Osiris or is he off base? Check out his video below. 16. In the blink of an eye, Wendy Williams's life became one of the Hot Topics she gossips about on her show. The famed talk show host was reportedly on a downward spiral nearly two years ago as she was dealing with the after-effects of her then-husband Kevin Hunter not only cheating on her but fathering a child with his mistress. It was a time when Wendy found her name in headlines day after day, but as she reflected on the scandal with ET Canada, the shock jock said she loved every minute because she knew her biopic and other projects were on the horizon. Johnny Nunez / Contributor / Getty Images Williams spoke about her forthcoming Lifetime biopic with the outlet and touched on her failed marriage with Hunter. "I was playing it off to my ex-husband like I still loved him and like I knew nothing and trying to be a good mother—like, I would never make the tears in front of my son," said Wendy. However, during that time, she'd hired a private investigator to find out what was really going on behind her back. ET Canada wanted to know if Wendy has been introduced to Hunter's lovechild. "The baby? No, why would I want to meet her," she said of her son's half-sister. "And I don't want to know her. She'll want to meet me first, though. Do you know where your father was the night that your mother was giving birth? He was with that lady on TV, Ms. Wendy. 'Cause he was with me." She added that she's moved on from "serial cheater" Hunter and the scandal, and has forgiven him for all that occurred in their marriage. Watch her interview below. View the full article
  17. Former President Donald Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway may have put her role in the White House in her past, but her teenage daughter is keeping the political figure's reputation alive on social media. Claudia Conway, 16, has been a thorn in her mother's—and the White House's—side for some time as she has shared private moments to TikTok. The teen has posted alleged secrets about what has been going on behind the scenes in Trump's camp and often, Claudia displays unfavorable videos of her mother. Earlier today (January 19), Claudia's latest TikTok video caused concern from the masses. On the app, Claudia shared a compilation of sorts that featured various videos where Kellyanne is heard losing her cool. In the various clips, the 54-year-old political consultant is heard calling her daughter a "b*tch," telling her "f*ck you," complaining about Claudia's social media antics, and insulting the teen by saying, "You're lucky your mom's pro-life." It didn't take long for the video to go viral and people took to various social media platforms and called for someone to call Child Protective Services on the Conway family. Check out the video that Claudia Conway posted below along with a few reactions. View the full article
  18. Back in 2016, several entertainers joined together for the moving video "23 Ways You Could Be Killed if You Are Black in America." Beyoncé, Pink, Rihanna, Taraji P. Henson, and Janelle Monae were just a few celebrities included in the Alicia Keys-produced feature, and now the follow-up to the movement has been shared. The recently-released "17 More Ways" is much like the first and includes Black people who have lost their lives to racism or brutalities like Elijah McClain, Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, Botham Jean, Breonna Taylor, Jeremy McDole, Dominique Clayton, and Terece Crutcher. A new set of famous faces tackles each case, including Mary J. Blige, Summer Walker, T.I., Ty Dolla $ign, Vic Mensa, Quavo, Offset, Rapsody, Tiny, 070 Shake, Khalid, A$AP Ferg, and Asian Doll. Offset shared a clip of the video to his Instagram page and penned a bit about the initiative. "In honor of #MLKDay, I join @breathewithmerevolution and @bma_coalition in the call for @joebiden & @kamalaharris to commit to a Truth Racial Healing and Transformation Commission in their first 100 days." As the rapper stated in his caption, the effort was created in hopes of not only highlighting the cases of Black lives snuffed out too soon but to challenge America's incoming presidential administration to take immediate steps in creating solutions to what many believe is an ongoing epidemic of discrimination. "2020 will never be forgotten as a year of awakening for many. More than 1,000 people were killed by police violence, with Black people accounting for a disproportionate amount of those deaths," said Alicia Keys. "We all see it with our own eyes! While we warmly welcome the Biden-Harris administration to the White House this week, let’s hold them accountable to offering actionable, systemic solutions to protecting and empowering Black Lives. On the day of ‘The Dream,’ let us not become complacent. Let’s stand up to ensure we see real change in the first 100 days of our new administration by joining the #breathewithme Revolution.” Check out the video below. [via] View the full article

  20. In less than 24 hours, President Donald Trump will no longer be America's leader. As the United States prepares for the transition of power from Trump to President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris, Trump has filed one of his last executive orders to build the National Garden of American Heroes. In the much-talked-about order, Trump shared a list of 244 Americans that he deemed worthy of inclusion, and the list, unsurprisingly, has caused controversy. Jonathan Bachman / Stringer / Getty Images Included on the list are Kobe Bryant, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Whitney Houston, Frederick Douglass, Walt Disney, Elvis Presley, Alex Trebek, Alfred Hitchcock, John F. Kennedy, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Harriet Tubman, Babe Ruth, Norman Rockwell, Betsy Ross, Steve Jobs, Aretha Franklin, Nat King Cole, Christopher Columbus, Muhammad Ali, Billy Graham, Sitting Bull, and dozens of others. Some political pundits don't believe the execution of the garden will come to fruition, but the order calls for lifelike representations of the 244 historical and celebrity names. "The term 'historically significant American' means an individual who made substantive contributions to America’s public life or otherwise had a substantive effect on America’s history," the order reads. Who should be included in, or removed from, this list? [via] View the full article

The 17-year-old's infamy began on Dr. Phil after she was featured as an out of control child, but over the years, she's become a multi-millionaire from her artistic endeavors and business partnerships, but no matter what moves she makes, Danielle Bregoli can't escape her contentious comments and disreputable past. Gregg DeGuire / Stringer / Getty Images Recently, the teen rap star vented about her frustrations with the ongoing criticism she receives about "Blackfishing," saying that she understands why some entertainers take their own lives. "Y’all love to cancel ppl for the same sh*t y’all literally do," she wrote in a series of tweets. "The only difference is the whole world aint looking for something to talk bad about y’all for y’all nit pick at celebrities but if someone did that sh*t to y’all it would b pissed." 22. Good news is on the horizon for Delonte West as the former NBA star has been reportedly doing well in rehab. Last Fall, photos and videos once again circulated showing West struggling while out on the street. There have been sightings and reports over the years showing West homeless and acting erratically, and while he has been teased and trolled on social media, those who cared for him were doing their best to make sure he received adequate help. In September 2020, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban shared that he would help Delonte enter into a rehabilitation facility after tracking him down at a gas station. Cuban has regularly attempted to give aid to West, and since that time, there have been minor, yet positive, updates about his progress. On Tuesday (January 19), TMZ reported that West is doing well at the Rebound center located in Florida and he not only looks healthier, but West has landed himself a job at the facility. The former Dallas Mavericks star has reportedly been back on the court during treatment and Cuban is said to have helped West reconnect with his mother and loved ones.
