  1. Snoop Dogg certainly hasn't held his tongue when speaking about the current president of the United States. However, he has been trying to use the possible slew of pardons and commutations Trump has planned for tomorrow to get the co-founder of Death Row Records out of prison. According to the Daily Beast, Snoop Dogg has been lobbying Donald Trump, through Alice Johnson, to pardon Michael "Harry-O" Harris who's been behind bars for over 30 years for drug trafficking and attempted murder charges. Frazer Harrison/Getty Images Alice Johnson was famously granted a pardon from Donald Trump two years a go and has since become a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform. She explained that the case hit close to home knowing that Harris should've been out a decade ago. Weldon Angelos, a producer-turned-activist who was also granted a pardon from Trump in December, said that it was Snoop that brought the case to him. "Snoop brought this case to me, and I brought Alice Johnson on board to help it with me, and she brought it to the West Wing,” Angelos said on Sunday. “In the past, the president has given her the ability to select cases. And she doesn’t get [clemency for] all of them… But with Mr. Harris, she is not taking no for an answer.” Snoop advocated for Harris after Johnson asked if the Death Row co-founder had any violent instances behind bars during a conference call with Angelos. "Snoop said no… [and] said he’s a pillar of the community, and that we need more leaders like him to get out and help lead the younger generation," Angelos recounted. Johnson said that even though Snoop has been incredibly critical of the outgoing president, he's "appreciative" for what Trump's done "in terms of getting folks released from prison." 2. There was something up when Lil Wayne stood next to Trump with a glowing endorsement for a second term in office. If 2021 has proven anything so far, it's that the past four years of criticism towards the president have been valid. But what were we to think of one of the greatest rappers of all time endorsing DJT? Well, it was mutually beneficial -- kinda. The awkward endorsement of Donald Trump prompted many to believe that Weezy F. Baby would result in a pardon after he caught a gun charge. With a 10-year sentence on the line, many have found some sort of lenience in Wayne's actions, despite how detrimental it could've been if it actually worked for Trump's campaign for re-election. According to Bloomberg, the White House staff already have the documents prepared to pardon Lil Wayne after he pleaded guilty to a federal gun charge. The publication reports that Wayne is the only individual they know of that will be granted clemency tomorrow. It's unclear who else is on the docket for tomorrow's list of pardons Trump has planned but it's rumored that Kodak Black could also be granted clemency. Bloomberg also reports that White House officials don't expect Trump, his family, friends, and close aides to be granted any sort of pardons. We'll keep you updated on what goes down tomorrow, though. [Via] View the full article
  3. President Donald Trump only has a couple of days left in office but it seems like he fully plans on making the most of it. In fact, it was reported earlier today that Trump intends on pardoning and commuting dozens of sentences, which is good news for those in Trump's circle who have recently been convicted of a wide variety of crimes. Interestingly enough, it's also been rumored that Trump will be pardoning some high-profile names in the hip-hop community. Of course, some of the biggest names that have been rumored are Kodak Black and even Lil Wayne, who is awaiting sentencing for a federal gun charge that he recently pled guilty to. According to outlets like TMZ and the Daily Mail, Lil Wayne is quite likely to get a pardon, which is interesting when you consider how Wayne was spotted alongside Trump just a few months ago. Upon learning the news of Trump's rumored Wayne pardon, fans immediately jumped on social media to offer their hot takes and memes about the situation. Many hip-hop fans despise the current commander-in-chief although they can't help but be excited at the prospect of someone like Wayne being pardoned. Fans also noted that perhaps Wayne's Trump friendship was simply a way to get a pardon and that the rapper was just playing the long game like some type of maniacal genius. It's been said before but the internet is undefeated and today was no different. You can check out some of the best memes reacting to the situation, below. Also, stay tuned for updates on Trump's pardons as we will be sure to bring those to you. View the full article

  6. In about two months from now, St. Patrick's Day will finally be upon us. Unfortunately, St. Patrick's Day festivities probably won't be very possible this year due to COVID-19. Regardless, there are plenty of people out there who are ready to celebrate the occasion and many are already looking for some green clothes to wear on the big day. Luckily, Nike is looking to have people covered as they recently unveiled their brand new Nike Air Force 1 Low, in the St. Patrick's Day colorway. In the images below, you can see that the shoe has two shades of green. The darker shade is placed on the overlays, all while the lighter green is found on the toe box, Nike swoosh, and the inner lining. Perhaps one of the most unique details here is the fact that the patent leather on the back heel features four-leaf clovers engraved into the material. It's a nice little touch that adds to the St. Patrick's Day theme. For now, release details have yet to be revealed for these, so keep it locked to HNHH as we will make sure to bring you any updates. As always, let us know what you think of this shoe, in the comments below. Image via Nike Image via Nike Image via Nike Image via Nike View the full article
  7. A defining moment of 2020 was the BLM protests that hit the streets in the wake of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery's murders. Trae Tha Truth and Mysonne were among those on the frontlines of the protests, marching with the people and trying to make a positive change in their own community. Both Trae and Mysonne were arrested during a Breonna Taylor protest in Louisville. The two rappers have now come through with a new single titled, "You Know How We Coming" along with a music video that includes shots from last summer's protests. The two rappers tackle heavy production while showcasing their lyrical weight. The new single serves as the latest offering from their joint project If You Scared Stay Inside. We'll keep you posted on a release date. 10. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the New Orleans Saints 30-20 to advance to NFC Championship, Sunday night, in what is possibly Drew Brees' last NFL game. Chris Graythen / Getty Images "I'm gonna give myself an opportunity to think about the season, think about a lot of things, just like I did last year and make a decision," Brees said after the game. If Brees does decide to retire, he'll be going out on a sour note. In total, the legendary quarterback went 19-of-34 for 134 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in the loss. He will, however, finish his career as the all-time leader in passing yards (80,358), TD passes (571), and completions (7,142) On the other side of the field, Bucs' quarterback Tom Brady completed 18 of 33 passes for 199 yards and three total touchdowns. Brady, who joined the organization prior to the season, spoke about the win: Just so proud of everyone. The whole organization. Our coaches have put in so much work and effort getting us to this point, preparing us every day, and just done an amazing job. Guys really come together. It's a really unique team. We have great chemistry. We have fun at practice. We worked really hard to get to this point, just like the other three teams remaining. The Bucs will play the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship, next week. [Via] View the full article
  11. Jennifer Lopez is continuing to adamantly affirm that she has never used Botox nor plastic surgery to maintain her youthful appearance. Phillip Faraone / Getty Images In reply to a commenter on Instagram, Lopez laughed off such accusations, this week: LOL thats just my face!... I have never done Botox or any injectables or surgery!! Just sayin’. Get you some JLO BEAUTY and feel beautiful in your own skin! And here is another JLO Beauty secret: try spending your time being more positive, kind and uplifting of others don’t spend your time trying to bring others down that will keep you youthful and beautiful too!!! Sending you love. Lopez has had to shoot down the claim more and more over the years. The most recent time came in an interview with Elle, last month, when she explained that a doctor once recommended Botox, but she declined: I was 20-something years old, and I haven't ever had Botox to this day. And [the doctor] said, 'Did you know you have a little line right here? We should start Botox.' I mean, I had to be 23 years old, right? And I was like, ‘I'm going to pass.’ I didn't like needles anyway .... And I just wonder what would've happened to me if I would've started Botox at 23, what I would look like right now. My face would be a totally different face today. Lopez, who is set to be featured Joe Biden's inauguration soundtrack, turns 52 in July. [Via] View the full article
  12. Buffalo native Conway The Machine was ecstatic following the Bills' 17-3 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, Saturday night, which allows them to advance to the AFC Championship for the first time since 1993. Conway uploaded a video to social media of himself celebrating with his mother after the game. “Hey ma, hey ma, talk your shit again,” Conway said in the video. “Say that shit again! We’ll see y’all at the muthafuckin’ next game … that’s a wrap muthafucka. Mama Machine even got bars, ya bitch! AFC Champions. Buffalo fuckin’ Bills. I’m calling it right now!” Saturday's win was solidified for the Bills after a 101-yard pick-6 by Taron Johnson. The Ravens, who lost quarterback Lamar Jackson to a concussion soon after, could not recover. Fellow Griselda rapper Benny The Butcher recently teamed up with the organization to release a "Bills Mafia Anthem" in celebration of their success. "You hatin' on the Bills then you way off/Talk is cheap, meet us in the playoffs," he raps on the track. The Bills will take on the Kansas City Chiefs, next week. It's possible the reigning champions could be without their star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, who suffered a concussion, Sunday. [Via] View the full article
  13. Apple CEO Tim Cook defended the company's controversial decision to remove the social media platform Parler from the App Store in the aftermath of the riot at the U.S. Capitol Building earlier this month. Spencer Platt / Getty Images "We obviously don't control what's on the internet but we've never viewed that our platform should be a simple replication of the internet. We have rules and regulations and we just ask that people abide by those," he explained. "We don’t consider that free speech and incitement to violence has an intersection." Parler marketed itself as a platform without restriction on free speech and in turn, attracted a large community of users who were banned from or otherwise disillusioned with more mainstream platforms. Twitter in particular has banned a number of accounts after the riot in an effort to reduce "risk of further incitement of violence." These bans included President Donald Trump. Apple will reinstate Parler to the App Store under one condition: "If they get their moderation together they would be back on there," Cook added. Cook also commented on the riot at the Capitol Building specifically, calling it "one of the saddest moments of my life seeing an attack on our Capitol, an attack on our democracy." 14. Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has surpassed Michael Jordan to move into 15th on the league's all-time list for career triple-doubles. Doncic recorded the 29th triple-double of his career during the Mavs' 117-101 loss to the Chicago Bulls. Jared C. Tilton / Getty Images Doncic, in just his third season, finished the game with 36 points, 16 rebounds, and 15 assists. "The stats are spectacular," Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said. "I mean, 36, 16, and 15, it's phenomenal, but without a win, he won't be happy with it, either. Right now, we're entering the most difficult seven days of scheduling in Mavericks history. Individual stats are impressive, but we're in the business of trying to win games." Carlisle was correct: Doncic wasn't happy with it. He described his triple-double performance as "terrible" and said he played selfishly: "The second half, I played terrible," Doncic said. "That's on me, that game. I was being selfish a little bit because I had 30 points in the first half. That wasn't me in the second half. I've got to do way better in the second half. That's just on me. I've got to do way better." Doncic is now the youngest player in NBA history to post at least 35 points, 15 rebounds, and 15 assists in a single game. He is just the fourth player to do so. The Mavericks are currently 6-6 and will take on the Toronto Raptors, Monday night. [Via] View the full article
  15. Saints' quarterback Drew Brees is reportedly playing his last game at the Superdome in New Orleans, according to Fox's Jay Glazer, who says it is an open secret that Brees plans to retire following this season. Chris Graythen / Getty Images “Drew Brees, tonight will be the last game he plays at the Superdome,” Glazer said prior to Sunday's Divisional Round matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. “And whatever his last game is, if they lose tonight, if they lose next week that will be the last game he plays in the NFL. I really believe this is it.” “No, that is it,” he continued. “Drew Brees will be done. That’s it. Tom Brady will continue. Drew Brees, this will be his last game in the Superdome.” Brees has played 20 seasons in the NFL, the last 15 of which were in New Orleans. He is the all-time leader in passing yards (80,358), TD passes (571), and completions (7,142), making him a lock for the Hall of Fame. Brees won a Super Bowl with the Saints in 2010. Brees has yet to confirm whether or not he will continue playing after this season, but the organization has said he is welcome to return. If the Saints are eliminated from the playoffs, Sunday, Brees may have played his last NFL game. [Via] View the full article

  17. The Kanas City Chiefs are advancing to the AFC Championship after defeating the Cleveland Browns 22-17, Sunday. Former MVP Patrick Mahomes was taken out of the game with a concussion after a scary hit in the third quarter. Jamie Squire / Getty Images "He got hit in the back of the head and kind of knocked the wind out of him...he's doing great right now, which is a real positive, passed all the deals that he needed to pass so we'll see where it goes from here," Cheifs head coach Andry Reid said after the game. "I just talked to him. He's doing good. We'll see how he is tomorrow but right now he's feeling good," he added. Backup quarterback Chad Henne was thrust into the spotlight to finish the game in Mahomes' absence. He went 6-of-8 for 66 yards and an interception in the end zone; however, he played a critical role in maintaining possession for the Chiefs in the final minutes, preventing the Browns from getting the ball back to end the game. "HenneThingIsPossible," Mahomes tweeted after the game. Mahomes will go through the league's concussion protocol this week, which will determine his eligibility for the AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills, next week. 18. Twitter suspended the account of QAnon supporting Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, Sunday after she called for her supporters to "mobilize" to combat the "attacks on our liberties." Pool / Getty Images “I encourage all Americans, not just the 75 million people who voted for President Trump, to mobilize and make your voices heard in opposition to these attacks on our liberties,” the tweet read. Greene also tweeted a thread referencing conspiracy theories regarding the validity of the recent Georgia Senate elections. She reacted to the news of her suspension in a statement that called for Congress to "act swiftly" to "protect free speech in America." “Silicon Valley Cartel launched a multi-front attack to chill free speech in America by deplatforming President Donald Trump and purging an unknown number of conservatives,” the statement read. Prior to her election, Green previously supported the "Pizzagate" conspiracy theory, which claimed that Democratic Party leaders run a human-trafficking and pedophilia ring. She also theorized that the counter-protester killed in 2017 at the White nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia was "an inside job." Green was elected to the House in November as a representative of Georgia's 14th congressional district. Twitter also banned President Donald Trump earlier this month. [Via] View the full article
  19. Legendary Ronettes singer Ronnie Spector commented on the death of her ex-husband, Grammy-winning producer Phil Spector, Sunday, calling him a "brilliant producer, but a lousy husband." Matt Carr / Getty Images "It's a sad day for music and a sad day for me," Ronnie, 77, wrote on Instagram. "When I was working with Phil Spector, watching him create in the recording studio, I knew I was working with the very best. He was in complete control, directing everyone. So much to love about those days. Meeting him and falling in love was like a fairytale." "As I said many times while he was alive, he was a brilliant producer, but a lousy husband," she wrote. "Unfortunately Phil was not able to live and function outside of the recording studio. Darkness set in, many lives were damaged." The couple married in 1968 and divorced six years later. Phil Spector passed away from complications relating to COVID-19 on Saturday at the age of 81. The Grammy-winning musician was serving a 19-to-life sentence after being convicted for the 2003 murder of actress Lana Clarkson. He worked on the iconic Beatles' album Let It Be, many of The Ronettes' hits, and influenced the likes of the Beach Boys, Brian Eno, and Bruce Springsteen. [Via] View the full article
  20. Legendary comedian Steve Martin, 75, says he's received the COVID-19 vaccine and is experiencing no side effects. Theo Wargo / Getty Images "Good news/Bad news," Martin wrote on Twitter, Sunday morning. "Good news: I just got vaccinated! Bad news: I got it because I’m 75. Ha! The operation in NYC was smooth as silk (sorry about the cliché @BCDreyer!) and hosted to perfection by the US Army and National Guard. Thank you all, and thank you science." Martin says he was able to get access to the vaccine through New York City's government’s website where he was among those eligible, who include “individuals 75 and older, first responders, public safety officers, teachers and other school staff; in-person college instructors, childcare workers, public-facing grocery store workers, transit workers and individuals living and working in homeless shelters.” The site warns that it could take up to 14 weeks to schedule an appointment due to limited federal allocation. "I signed up ON line through an NYC dot gov website (sorry I don’t have the exact site), and waited IN line at the Javits Center," Martin said, replying to a fan who was seeking advice on where to get his 83-year-old mother-in-law vaccinated in New York. "Right now, I’m having no fide resects [sic]," Martin joked. [Via] View the full article
  21. Sen. Lindsey Graham has penned an open letter to the new Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer, urging him not to move forward with the second impeachment of President Donald Trump. Graham described the impeachment as a "gratuitous, meaningless effort." Chip Somodevilla / Getty Images Graham further explains in the letter: But now, in your first act as majority leader, rather than begin the national healing that the country so desperately yearns for, you seek vengeance and political retaliation instead. While the vice president and Senate Republicans rejected unconstitutional actions, you seek to force upon the Senate, what would itself be but one more unconstitutional action in this disgraceful saga— the impeachment trial of a former president. Trump's second impeachment was put forth in the House of Representatives following the violent riot at the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6th. Members of the House decided that the President played a role in the “incitement of an insurrection" after egging on the crowd. Instead of placing blame on Trump for his role in provoking the crowd, Graham has attempted to shift the narrative to Nancy Pelosi. “To see people come and take over the Capitol – the House and the Senate – beat officers, defile the seat of government. How in the hell could that happen? Where was Nancy Pelosi? It’s her job to provide Capitol security,” he said on Fox News, Sunday. The Senate will reach a decision on impeachment later this week. 22. Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski says he wants to stay in Tampa Bay next season, after coming out of retirement in 2020 to play with his former quarterback Tom Brady. Mike Ehrmann / Getty Images "Yeah, you gotta," Gronkowski told former Patriot Willie McGinest on NFL Network, Sunday. "I feel like this team was built to win right now. It was put together this year to win right now. It always pops up in your mind; you're thinking about the future a little bit -- I can definitely see this team also having a lot of talent come back and having another successful run next year, as well, with me." The Bucs are set to take on the New Orleans Saints, Sunday night, in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. The two teams have faced off twice this season and the Saints came away victorious in both matchups. "This time's gotta be different," Gronkowski said. "We really didn't have that much success against them, especially in the second game. They absolutely whupped our butts. But the third time's a charm. We've gotta go out there, and we've gotta play our best football if we want a chance to win." The winner of Sunday night's contest will take on the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Conference Championship, next week. [Via] View the full article

  24. Kanye West's Yeezy imprint with Adidas has been a force in the sneaker industry since all the way back in 2015 and for years now, West has been able to build upon his brand's catalog. At this point, Yeezy is a billion-dollar enterprise, and West himself has become a billionaire because of Yeezy's sales. Streetwear and sneaker culture has been largely carried by Yeezy over the years and while the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 has proven to be the most popular of his silhouettes there have certainly been other great ones as well. One of his best models is the Adidas Yeezy 500 which follows that chunky dad shoe aesthetic that has become so trendy over the years. Recently, an account by the name of @yzsplyleaks came through with some brand new images of what appears to be the wildest Yeezy 500 yet. As you can see, the shoe has an orange midsole, all while the upper is both blue and grey. It makes for a unique look that we have yet to see on a Yeezy outside of the Yeezy Boost 700. For now, it is believed that this will drop during the Spring of this year, although details remain scarce so keep it locked to HNHH for any updates. In the meantime, let us know what you think in the comments below. View the full article
