  1. Jake Paul has been all over the boxing world as of late, especially following his huge match against Nate Robinson, which ended in a knockout in Paul's favor. Since that time, he has been teasing his next move and has a long list of possible contenders. Paul is even moving out of Los Angeles, as he wants to focus on his boxing training so that he can become the next champion of the world. While these are lofty goals, Paul is a name that generates money, and Triller is ready to drop another bag. In a recent announcement, Paul revealed that he will be headlining yet another Triller card on April 17th, even if he said April 10th in the video. For now, it remains to be seen who Paul will be fighting against although we're sure the contracts are currently being worked out. Paul did reveal that Snoop Dogg will be doing commentary for the fight, which is huge news considering Snoop was a massive hit the last time around. There is a ton of hype surrounding who Paul will get to battle next and for now, many are looking toward the MMA world. In fact, Paul recently commissioned a flyover message stating that Conor McGregor is scared of him. While fighting Conor is certainly a longshot, you have to admire just how much Paul wants to sink his teeth into the biggest fighters in the world. [Via] View the full article
  2. Yesterday, we reported that in the week marking the 3-year anniversary of Fredo Santana (January 19th), one of the artists he was working with before his death was reported to have also met an unfortunate fate as well. Although the news of Memphis rapper Baby CEO"s death had yet to be confirmed, tribute messages poured in across social media as "RIP Baby CEO" began to trend. These reports were confirmed on Wednesday when the rapper's brother confirmed his passing on his Twitter account, clarifying his death had nothing to do with organized gang violence but was actually much more sinister. The expletive-filled message tweeted Wednesday (January 20th) night, Baby CEO's brother claimed that his brother was murdered by his own friends who wanted "fame off his name." Edited for clarity, the tweet read, "Aint No Opp Kill My Brother He Got [Killed] By His Own Day 1 *igga That He Called His Brother So For You D*ck Suckn Ass Heavy Camp N*ggas That’s Tryn Get Fame Off His Name. Stop It Clout Chasing Ass N*ggas All You Bitch N*ggas Been Riding My Brother Wave." The 20-year-old Memphis native was dubbed the "protege" of Fredo Sanatana and seemed to have a promising year ahead of him. We'll keep you updated on more information about his cause of death as it rolls in, and our prayers go out to his family. View the full article

  4. When it comes to beloved gaming franchises, Capcom's legendary Resident Evil series has remained a fan-favorite for decades. And now, with the new generation of consoles having been launched, the upcoming Resident Evil: Village is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2021. Especially following the recent success that the Resident Evil franchise has been experiencing, thanks to a triumphant run of RE:7, as well as acclaimed remakes of RE2 and RE3. Resident Evil 8: Village -- second trailer. Today marks the official Resident Evil showcase, during which Capcon will unveil a new cinematic trailer, the first gameplay reveal, and more. Based on what we've seen so far, Village appears to take place following the events of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, with players once again reprising the role of Ethan Winters. Unlike its predecessor, which largely took place in a decrepit and terrifying mansion smack in the middle of the bayou, Village will switch things up entirely. Implementing elements of folklore and overtly supernatural horror, Village looks to be one of the most mysterious chapters of the series thus far -- and that's not even factoring in the rogue behavior of beloved RE hero Chris Redfield. For those interested in checking out the official showcase, which takes place today at 2:00 pm PT, 5:00 pm ET, and 10:00 pm GMT, IGN has provided a wealth of streaming options you can peep right here. Perhaps we'll actually receive a proper due date, as for now, Resident Evil: Village has been slated for a general 2021 release. Are you excited for this one? View the full article

  7. We've often watched as dedicated fans have paid tribute to the favorite celebrities in surprisingly permanent ways. A regular practice among members of fandoms like the Barbz, the Navy, and the BeyHive has been tattoos in honor of an artist that they follow without question. Sometimes, lyrics will be the ink of choice but more often than not, the person decides to get a lifelike image of the artist's face. Alberto E. Rodriguez / Stringer / Getty Images When Kobe Bryant lost his life in a tragic helicopter crash, tattoo tributes poured in for the late sports legend, and the same could be said of Nipsey Hussle. It's not always fans, either; Dwyane Wade got one of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Stevie J got his wife Faith Evans inked, Wiz Khalifa received a Wu-Tang tattoo, and following Juice WRLD's untimely death, more skin art surfaced of the late rapper from his fellow artists. Saweetie's Icy Gang is certainly a dedicated group of fans and one person decided it was time to get the Bay Area artist's likeness on their body. She shared the tattoo on her Instagram page and gave a shout-out to her fan. "So pretty !! Shoutout to my real ass icy boy @yaboiioscar_ for always supporting, showing love & pulling up to my events no matter what city I’m in !! I remember everything you a real one baby !!!!! #icygang." 8. The music world was filled with worry after the news was shared that Dr. Dre had suffered a brain aneurysm. The megaproducer made a quick recovery and after a brief stay in the hospital, Dre posted a photo to Instagram that showed he was back in the studio. Comedy icon Luenell recently discussed Dre's health troubles and noted that not everyone was rooting for him to recover because of his longstanding allegations of domestic abuse. "Now, one would say, does Dre get a pass for being such a notorious woman beater 'cause he makes good music? One would say," Luenell told VladTV. "One would say that some people ain't gonna be praying for Dr. Dre. A lot of women, but you can get a pass, it seems, if you're popular. He a notorious woman beater. I love Dr. Dre's music, don't get it f*cked up, and I don't want to see any of our icons die." "But, I don't...we can't...some of the charges his wife was making was even that he had been violent with her," Luenell continued. "His track record sucks." Vlad mentioned that he'd previously interviewed R&B icon Michel'le who shares a son with her former Aftermath fiancé. Over the years, Michel'le has insisted that Dre was physically abusive. Vlad and Luenell also brought up rapper Dee Barnes who was brutally attacked by the producer at a Hollywood party in 1991. Luenell added that Dr. Dre's alleged violence is a "character flaw that he just can't—he might go years and not do it and then he might just go off." Watch the clip below, including portions of Michel'le speaking about her alleged experiences. View the full article

  11. We're sure that today, Lil Wayne is breathing just a little bit easier. The rap icon recently received the news that he'd been pardoned by former President Donald Trump after Wayne pleaded guilty to weapons charges. The run-in with the law occurred in December 2019 when Weezy's plane was searched by authorities and a firearm, as well as drugs, were allegedly found on board. Wayne filed his guilty plea a year later, but Trump's pardon rids him of his legal woes. At the stroke of midnight on Thursday (January 21), Lil Wayne released his Fousheé-assisted single "Ain't Got Time." The rapper repeatedly references his recent legal troubles on the track while spitting bars about the mental and emotional struggles he endures. It's another impressive offering from Weezy that deserves a few spins, so stream "Ain't Got Time" and share your thoughts. 12. It was made abundantly clear that Joe Exotic expected a full pardon from Donald Trump. On the last evening of his presidency, Trump granted pardons and commuted sentences for 143 people, and the infamous Tiger King celebrity believed that his name would be on that list. A stretch limo waited outside of the prison with hair and makeup artists ready for Joe's immediate release, however, the big cat star would be disappointed. Exotic has come forward to say that he may be "too gay" to receive a pardon, but one person who is happy that he remains incarcerated is his foe, Carole Baskin. The controversial Tiger King star shared some thoughts about Joe Exotic's incessant bids for release, revealing that she still fears for her life as Exotic was convicted on murder-for-hire charges. "It’s such an absolute sense of relief because it’s not just been waiting yesterday and today, it’s been from the day he was sentenced that we have been concerned that he could receive a presidential pardon," Baskin told Metro UK. "I think, what you think about you bring about, so I’ve tried very hard not to think about him getting a pardon and yet every five minutes someone from the media is like, 'What do you think about him getting a pardon?'" Still, Baskin added she is concerned. "I feel safer from Joe but I don’t feel safe in general though," she said. "He can still finish what he set out to do and he’s got less of a reason not to do it now he’s already in jail." Check out her video below. View the full article
  13. Not everyone's path to success looks the same, and often, artists ditch formal education in pursuit of their careers. In the early days of Dipset, Juelz Santana dropped out of high school, and instead of encouraging or forcing him to return, Jim Jones claims he and Cam'Ron enforced a different education environment for the rising rapper. "He already dropped out of high school by the time he got with us,” Jim told HipHopDX. “We tried to get him back in school, but he’s just a special kid. He’s one of them people they call like an idiot savant. When it comes to music, a person that’s a genius in what he does and is more or less on the terms of music and sh*t like that. He’s so much of a genius in what he does. That’s something that we need to curate and take care of it and make sure that he puts all his energy into that. ” Jones added that he and Cam'rom turned "music into a school" and rewarded Santana when he kept his nose clean. "It wasn’t just partying heartily and sh*t like that," said the rapper. "If he didn’t have his sh*t together, he couldn’t go out with us to certain concerts. He couldn’t go out with us to certain clubs, and sh*t like that. He had to finish music, and not just finish music, make music that could make us some money and put him in a different position and sh*t like that.” He also praised Cam'ron for staying focused on making sure that Dipset would become successful. 14. He's expressed that he's tired of hearing the "platinum with no features" jibe, but J. Cole can't run from its truth. The North Carolina-bred rapper is known for sharing music while flying solo in a generation that creates full albums with features on every track. EarthGang recently sat down with Los Angeles radio station Power 106 and the Dreamville duo was asked if they had the inside scoop on Cole's "no feature rule." Jeff Hahne / Stringer / Getty Images "I think he's so locked into the story that he wants to paint and the things that he wants to tell and the stuff that he wants to do on his music that I think he just allows himself to be in that space," said Olu. "I respect that." WowGr8 chimed in, "We don't have many features on our own work. We kind of be locked in. Each feature is very strategically placed." EarthGang also spoke about how J. Cole treats every song as if he's engaged in a lyrical battle, whether he's alone or not. They also added that Cole may have been inspired to host features after working with his Dreamville team on their collaborative projects. Check out the interview in full below. View the full article

  16. After rumors and accusations of sexual assault were made against Danny Masterson, the That '70s Show actor was officially hit with charges last June. Three women claim that between 2001 and 2003, they were allegedly raped by Masterson, one even stating that the sexual assault took place at his home. The actor has denied the allegations against him and last year his attorney issued a statement saying, “We’re confident that he will be exonerated when all the evidence finally comes to light and witnesses have the opportunity to testify... The people who know Mr. Masterson know his character and know the allegations to be false.” Pool / Getty Images On Wednesday (January 20), Masterson appeared in court alongside his lawyer and pleaded not guilty to the charges set against him, including multiple counts of rape by force or fear. Following his arrest last year, Masterson paid his bail and was released on a $3.3 million bond. "Obviously, Mr. Masterson and his wife are in complete shock considering that these nearly 20-year-old allegations are suddenly resulting in charges being filed, but they and their family are comforted knowing that ultimately the truth will come out," said the actor's attorney. It's unclear how much time Masterson could serve if convicted. [via] View the full article
  17. The colorful looks of Lil Kim have gone down in Hip Hop history, but not many are as iconic as her lavender, breast-revealing MTV VMA look back in 1999. The New York rapper stole the show when she walked the red carpet and graced the stage in an outfit that bared one breast that only featured a matching nipple covering, and in a recent interview with PEOPLE, Kim revealed that it was inspired by a tease from her friend Missy Elliott. Brenda Chase / Stringer / Getty Images Back in the day, Lil Kim was apparently known for her regular nip slips. "My nipples used to pop out so much on their own," she said with a laugh. "They said something in a movie and made it look like it was planned — it was never planned. The girls used to laugh at me and Missy said, 'Girl, your nipples pop out so much. One day, you need to just come outside with one nipple out.'" It was a joke, but Kim's stylist at the time, Diddy's ex and mother of his son Justin, Misa Hylton, thought it was a good idea for a look. On the day of the VMAs, Kim wasn't supposed to wear a matching lavender wig, either—it was a mistake by the hairstylist that they decided to roll with at the last minute. "She was so stressed because we were literally 45 or 30 minutes away from showtime," Lil' Kim added. "She was like, 'Misa, oh my God. I have to redo the hair, the whole wig is lavender.' Misa was like, 'Did you say lavender? Kim's outfit is lavender. 'It's perfect!' And I'm always with the sh*t. I was like, 'Let's do it! Put it on me.' I'm always excited to see what I'll look like in different colors." Check out more of Kim's iconic look below. 18. News of Donald Trump's presidential pardons has spread far and wide, so by now, you should be familiar with the reports of Lil Wayne and Kodak Black being included on the former president's list. There were rumors that the two artists were slated for pardons prior to the official announcement, and both are grateful to Trump for the recognition. Weezy hasn't given a public statement regarding the pardon, but Kodak shared a few words on his Twitter account. Mike Coppola / Staff / Getty Images "I Want To Thank The President @RealDonaldTrump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence," said the rapper. "I Also Want To Thank Everyone For Their Support And Love. It Means More Than You Will Ever Know. I Want To Continue Giving Back, Learning And Growing. @DanScavino." Earlier today, Bradford Cohen, lawyer to both Kodak and Wayne, issued a statement about his clients. "President Trump and his administration have been tireless advocates on behalf of the African-American community," said Cohen. "These pardons is [sic] a perfect example of this administration following up on its reforms and commitments. Thank you to President Trump for his advocacy and dedication to justice reform." It's unclear when Kodak will be released, but it's reported the prosecutors in South Carolina want him detained when freed. Kodak Black faces charges in the southern state after a woman claimed that in February 2016, the rapper allegedly sexually assaulted her in a hotel room. Trump's pardon is at the federal, not state levels, so Kodak is still on track to go to trial over those accusations. Twitter [via] View the full article

"When I first recorded ['Throat Baby'], I was joking around and had made [it] while touring somewhere," he said. "I didn’t want there to be a backlash coming at me, so I wasn’t sure if we should be putting this out. But my homeboys wanted me to put it out, so I said, 'Cool,' and did it. I really made it for the dudes, but women took so [strongly] to it and took it to a whole other level." Check out the preview of the forthcoming remix below and let us know what you think. The Tickets to My Downfall hitmaker is a firm believer in alien lifeforms, and he shared his experience with seeing a UFO-like presence only days ago. Kelly visited The Late Late Show With James Corden where he spoke about his recent chart-topping album and shared a story of what he allegedly witnessed in California. "Speaking about the inspiration behind the project, Nolay says, “This EP came to life when I came to a crossroads in my career. I had hit so many bumps in the road during my time in the music game, and after a string of disheartening situations with unscrupulous executives, I decided I was going to pursue my acting career, because some very promising doors within the acting industry had opened up for me, and to be honest, my love for music was slowly fizzling out, due to experiencing the same kind of charlatans and timewasters in the music business," she said about creating the new project in a statement. 23. She was a child actress who many believed would be the next comedy queen, but Amanda Bynes would fade from the spotlight. The 34-year-old has been plagued with controversies for years as there have been reports of alleged mental health issues and substance abuse, but Bynes did manage to graduate from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) back in 2019. In recent years, Bynes has been known more so for her stints in rehab than her entertainment career, but on Wednesday (January 20), she resurfaced with a snippet of her new rap song. GVK/Bauer-Griffin / Contributor / Getty Images It wasn't something that anyone believed would happen, but Bynes is trying her hand out at being a rapper. Her Instagram remains empty for the most part, but her latest upload quickly grabbed the attention of her followers. It looks like she collaborated with an artist named Precise for a single titled "Diamonds," and in the preview, Amanda is heard rapping what appears to be the chorus. 25. The 2021 presidential inauguration ceremony is behind us, but people are still talking about the highlights from the event. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were sworn into office as performers like Lady Gaga, Garth Brooks, and Jennifer Lopez graced the stage. For the latter, J. Lo gave her rendition of "This Land is Your Land," but her remix to the Woody Guthrie American classic was what stole the show. The multihyphenate entertainer took to the stage in a full white 'fit and belted out the 1940 classic, and as the end of her performance neared, Lopez change a few things. First, she shifted into "America, The Beautiful" and said a few words from "The Pledge of Allegiance" in Spanish before slipping in "Let's Get Loud" from her debut album On the 6 that she released back in 1999. Lopez was praised for her bilingual moment during her performance, but others questioned if her "Let's Get Loud" inclusion was necessary during an inauguration. Either way, Jenny from the Block thoroughly enjoyed her time helping to usher in America's new leader, President Joe Biden. Still, that didn't stop the commentators from making their presences known. Check out J. Lo's performance, and a few reactions, below. View the full article
