  5. The Kansas City Chiefs are advancing to the Super Bowl after defeating the Buffalo Bills 38-24 during the AFC Championship, Sunday. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes helped rally his team back from a 9-0 deficit in the first quarter. Jamie Squire / Getty Images Mahomes, playing through a toe injury, went 29-of-38 for 325 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. His top wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, hauled in an impressive 172 yards. The Chiefs, despite the win, lost their starting left tackle, Eric Fisher, due to an Achilles injury late in the game. "I'm the old guy who has seen a couple of quarterbacks, and this guy seems to amaze me a little bit more every game," Chiefs coach Andy Reid said of Mahomes. "I'm proud of the way that he handles it most of all. ... He's about the team. He works his tail off and he does it the right way. Which is important for the longevity of his career and success for the Kansas City Chiefs and obviously now for the Super Bowl." "He stayed positive. Whether it was his toe, whether it was his head. ... He worked his way through it," Reid said. The Chiefs will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Super Bowl LV on February 7th. Jamie McCarthy / Getty Images "Third times the charm @nickiminaj the girls and I did this as a tribute to our nephew. Please play for him, love y’all," Palmer wrote in the caption. "Lil' bad Trini bitch but she mixed with China," the group raps along in the video. Palmer is clearly enjoying herself. She posted earlier this week about making health a major goal of her's entering 2021. She explained in a caption of a selfie: I mean, throughout my life too but especially this year as I discover I’m not just healing what I’ve done to my own body but what my genes have become susceptible to within my blood line. It’s scary but also empowering to know that you yourself can make the difference. No pressure right — my siblings and I just want my parents sacrifices not to be in vain! So we promise to take the resources they allowed us to have and up the anti so the Palmer’s coming after us have an even better start(my parents set the bar pretttty high). 7. DaniLeigh has released another lengthy apology for her new song called “Yellow Bone," which sparked outrage after she shared a snippet of the track. John Parra / Getty Images The song was met with numerous accusations of colorism for obvious reasons and DaniLeigh initially apologized with a series of tweets claiming that she can't be canceled. Days later, she has posted a video to her Instagram attempting to make a genuine apology for her actions. "I think people twisted it into thinking, like, I’m trying to bash another woman, another skin tone, that was never my intention. I wasn’t brought up like that, I never looked at my skin as a privilege. I never looked at me as ‘I’m better than somebody because of my skin tone,'" she says in the video. She continued: I see brown skin women flaunt their skin all the time in music, why can’t I talk about mine? If you look at me, I’m light-skinned, I’m a yellow bone. In my opinion, that’s just what I am. So, it wasn’t something that I looked at so deeply. Which, I can see why people will take it deeply, so I understand and I’m sorry that I wasn’t sensitive to the topic when I wrote my comment ‘why are you guys taking so personal?’ Because, it can be a personal thing to certain people, because colorist is a real thing so I do get it. But I’m not that. I’m not a colorist. I’m not a racist. I date a whole chocolate man. I have beautiful dark-skinned friends. Check out the full video below. [Via] View the full article
  8. A pair of insulting banners flew over Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Sunday, directed at former President Donald Trump. Tasos Katopodis / Getty Images "TRUMP WORST PRESIDENT EVER," one banner read. Another said, "TRUMP YOU PATHETIC LOSER GO BACK TO MOSCOW." The former President was seen golfing at Mar-a-Lago, this weekend, after Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20th. A crowd of devoted supporters reportedly awaited Trump as he arrived. Prior to leaving the White House, Trump pardoned a number of high profile people including Kodak Black. While at the resort, Trump has reportedly been discussing establishing a third party, called either the MAGA Party or Patriot Party, in an effort to primary Republicans who vote to impeach him at his upcoming trial. Sources said that Trump has "instructed his aides to prepare election challenges to lawmakers who crossed him in the final weeks in office." “Multiple people in Trump’s orbit … say Trump has told people that the third-party threat gives him leverage to prevent Republican senators from voting to convict him during the Senate impeachment trial," the sourced added. Trump's impeachment trial is set to commence during the week of February 8th, Senator Chuck Schumer announced last week. [Via] View the full article
  9. Green Bay's star quarterback Aaron Rodgers has Packers fans worried after teasing that his future is uncertain going into the offseason, following the team's 31-26 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Stacy Revere / Getty Images "A lot of guys' ... futures are uncertain, myself included," he told reporters after the NFC Championship loss. "That's what's sad about it, getting this far ... The uncertainties is tough, the finality of it all." Rodgers' contract with Green Bay would keep him with the Packers through 2023, but the team theoretically could trade him in the offseason. The organization spent their first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on quarterback Jordan Love who is expected to be Rodger's successor. "I don't know," Rodgers said when what happens next. "I really don't know. There's a lot of unknowns going into this offseason now. I'm gonna have to take some time away, for sure, and just clear my head and just kinda see what's going on with everything. It's pretty tough right now, especially thinking about the guys that may or may not be here next year. That makes the finality of it all kind of you hit you like a ton of bricks." There are a number of teams that are in need of a quarterback including the Colts, Patriots, Saints, Jets, and more. Rodgers is expected to be named the 2020 NFL Most Valuable Player. 10. Michael B. Jordan is reportedly “totally invested” in his relationship with Lori Harvey, sources close to the situation recently revealed to Entertainment Tonight. Jordan and Harvey have been Instagram official as of two weeks ago, and sources say they are “committed and very happy." The insider explained: “Michael B. Jordan’s family loves Lori, and vice versa. Lori is everything Michael’s family could have hoped for him to find. She’s lovely, respectful and fits in perfectly. “Her friends also think he’s great for her. Everyone around them approves of their relationship. Things have gotten serious fast, but there have been no red flags. They’re both totally invested, committed and very happy.” Harvey's father, Steve Harvey, also recently praised Jordan but admitted that he still has his eyes on him. “I like this one. I still got my eye on him,” he said. “I mean I like him, but like I say to all of ’em, ‘I might like you, I might approve of you, but I got a thumb-size section of my heart filled with nothing but pure hatred for your ass. Just in case I need it.' Like right now? Nice guy. But I got this little section partner, where all I gotta do is click a switch and I can hate your ass. ‘Cause, you ain’t the sexiest man in the world to me! Let’s be clear about that." 11. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are advancing to Super Bowl LV after defeating the Green Bay Packers 31-26 in the NFC Championship, Sunday. The Bucs will become the first team in NFL history to play in a Super Bowl at their home stadium. Dylan Buell / Getty Images The Bucs led throughout the game, despite star quarterback Tom Brady throwing three interceptions in the contest. Brady finished completing 20 of 36 passes for 280 yards and three touchdowns. "It's been a great journey thus far," Brady said after the game. "We put the work in, and a lot of guys embraced everything. ...They worked really hard to get to this point. It's a tough game. Had a few tough games in a row. Next one will be really tough, too. "But we know what we're playing for. We got two weeks to prepare. It's going to be a great opponent.." After narrowing the Bucs' lead to just five points, the Packers' defense was unable to get a stop in the final two minutes, with all three timeouts. This is the first time the Bucs have reached the postseason in 13 years. "And now a home Super Bowl for the first time in NFL history, I think, puts a lot of cool things in perspective. Anytime you're the first one doing something, that's usually a pretty good thing," Brady said of playing in Tampa. [Via] View the full article
  12. Former President Donald Trump is reportedly interested in forming a new "MAGA" third party to challenge Republicans who he feels abandoned him following the 2020 Presidential Election. Tasos Katopodis / Getty Images The Washington Post reports that Trump is currently in Mar-a-Lago and been speaking with people close to him about establishing a third party known as either the Patriot Party or the MAGA Party. Sources continued to say that Trump has "instructed his aides to prepare election challenges to lawmakers who crossed him in the final weeks in office." Additionally, the move is motivated by his upcoming impeachment trial. “Multiple people in Trump’s orbit … say Trump has told people that the third-party threat gives him leverage to prevent Republican senators from voting to convict him during the Senate impeachment trial," the sourced added. Trump's impeachment trial is set to commence during the week of February 8th, Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer announced last week. "Both the House Managers and the defense will have a period of time to draft their legal briefs, just as they did in previous trials," Schumer said. "During that period, the Senate will continue to do other business for the American people, such as Cabinet nominations and the COVID-relief bill, which would provide relief for millions of Americans who are suffering during this pandemic. Then, once the briefs are drafted, presentations by the parties will commence the week of Feb. 8." [Via] View the full article

"At that time, my experimentation with drugs and booze and the circle of people around me was not fulfilling or sustainable or ever going to get me to my fullest potential and purpose." 14. Dr. Anthony Fauci, in speaking about his time serving as the White House Coronavirus Task Force under Donald Trump, says he received numerous death threats, including a frightening package that arrived at his office. Tasos Katopodis / Getty Images "The threats would come directly to my children's phones, directly to my children's homes. How the hell did whoever these assholes were get that information?" Fauci recently told The New York Times. The infectious disease expert went on to describe receiving a mysterious package that exploded with powder when he opened it: “One day I got a letter in the mail, I opened it up and a puff of powder came all over my face and my chest,” he said. “That was very, very disturbing to me and my wife because it was in my office.” He added: "It had to be one of 3 things: A hoax, or anthrax, which meant I'd have to go on Cipro for a month. Or if it was ricin, I was dead, so bye-bye." Fauci commented on being the target of constant online hate directed at him from die-hard Trump supporters, which he described as "right-wing craziness." "Hey, we got to get rid of this guy. What are we going to do about him? He’s hurting the president’s chances," he said. [Via] View the full article

  17. Trippie Redd attended a memorial service for the late rapper XXXTentacion, Saturday, on what would've been his 23rd birthday. Ser Baffo / Getty Images Redd shared several pictures of X and himself together on the 23rd as well as a video of himself at a candlelight vigil honoring the late rapper. XXXTentacion's mother, Cleopatra Bernard, shared a heartfelt tribute to her late son on Instagram as well. "Happy Birthday 23 on the 23rd we never miss the signs you show us," she wrote. "Doing our best to continue everything you started, I love you beyond words. See you in the next life." 18. The Miami Heat will be implementing coronavirus-sniffing dogs at AmericanAirlines Arena as apart of their safety procedure while they welcome a limited number of fans back into the stands. Michael Reaves / Getty Images The dogs have had practice being used during games where family and friends were invited into the arena. Coronavirus-sniffing dogs have been used at airports in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Helsinki. "If you think about it, detection dogs are not new," said Matthew Jafarian, the Heat's executive vice president for business strategy. "You've seen them in airports, they've been used in mission-critical situations by the police and the military. We've used them at the arena for years to detect explosives." Fans who wish to skip the dog sniffing process or are allegoric will be told to submit to a rapid antigen test. "Researchers are finding that specially trained dogs can detect COVID on humans quickly and accurately," Jafarian said. The organization will maintain less than 10% of the building's maximum capacity. "Please note that seating will be very limited, as we will be observing proper physical distancing," the Heat told season-ticket holders in a new letter. The first Heat game with fans will be held Thursday against the LA Clippers. [Via] View the full article
  19. South Carolina rapper 18veno has reportedly been shot and killed, according to multiple reports. The rapper’s family, however, has yet to confirm the cause of death. Numerous tributes to the late rapper have come piling in, including one from fellow South Carolina producer Jetsonmade. "Long Live @18veno. I love u lil brudda," he wrote on Twitter, Sunday. 18veno's 11-track debut project, Pablo, dropped last year. 18's passing is the latest in a series of gun-violence related deaths in the music industry over the last year. Dallas rapper Mo3, Chicago rapper King Von, and New York City’s Pop Smoke were all victims of gun-related deaths in 2020. Pop Smoke’s parents condemned the prominence of gun violence with a recent video. “Because of gun violence, I’ll never see my son run up the front of our steps, taking them two at a time,” Smoke's mother, Audrey Jackson, says in the video. “He won’t ever take my hands again and dance with me. He won’t come into my room and muscle pose in the mirror. Gun violence destroys families. It must stop.” The video was made in partnership with the Entertainers 4 Education Alliance/I WILL GRADUATE program. In 2020, there were over 1,000 shootings and nearly 300 murders in New York City. 20. Last Monday, a 31-year old mother was brutally beaten in front of a Harlem liquor store by a group of men. She says it happened after she declined one man’s offer to pay for her. “I politely declined, and I said no thank you, but thank you, I can pay for it myself. And I got ready to walk out. Before I walk out he basically said that he felt like I thought I was better than them,” the woman said. The men followed her out of the liquor store and chased her across the street, only to kick her with one man actually biting her forehead, leaving a deep wound. She says he tried to bite her eye out. “To bite me, and do that – maul me the way that he did – with me screaming, and saying I’m just trying to get my daughter. That – that’s an animal. That’s not a person,” she said. On Saturday night, a crowd of people gathered at the liquor store where the woman was assaulted to show their support. T.I. reposted the video of the supporters on Instagram, letting his followers know to #ProtectBlackWomen. The demonstration was the end of a rally that began three blocks away as women, men, and children stood on the corner, speaking out against violence in the neighborhood. “If we don’t do it, who is? It’s our responsibility, it’s our duty to protect our women and children in our community,” said Omar Jackson, director of Stand Against Violence East Harlem. Here's how some people reacted to the incident and the support of the Harlem community. The search continues for the men who attacked the woman. [via] View the full article
  21. In his first act as President as promised, signed literally the same day of the inauguration, Biden made dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic his top priority with an executive order mask mandate requiring Americans to wear masks of any choice in public and also requires the use of a mask on all federal property. Studies have shown, however, that if Americans really want to move forward from the pandemic, N95 masks are the way to do it. Justin Sullivan/Getty Images The masks are considered the gold standard for personal protective equipment because they block nearly 95% of large and small particles with its unique electrostatic filter. The masks are roughly $5, and fit securely on the face, eliminating most bacteria leakage from occurring. Experts like Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School physician Dr. Abraar Karan have spoken out about the power of the masks, advocating for their use since the start of the pandemic. "If for four weeks the country essentially wore these masks in those risky settings like that indoors, what kind of difference do you think it would make?" asked CNN medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta to the physician. "This would stop the epidemic," Karan responded. She continued to explain, "We know now that aerosols spread best when there is poor ventilation, crowding and close contact that's prolonged. So we were arguing that actually in those settings, cloth masks alone are not going to block aerosols." Sean Gallup/Getty Images The biggest problem with these N95 masks is the lack of supply, and the Biden administration plans to boost the manufacturing of the N95 masks and other critical supplies to help end the pandemic sooner than later. The United States has surpassed 25 million COVID-19 cases while reaching more than 400,000 virus-related deaths. [via] View the full article
  22. During the first round of the 2019 NBA Playoffs, Damian Lillard hit an incredible shot at the buzzer in Game 5 against Oklahoma City Thunder. This shot ended the Thunder's season and it was executed right in front of Paul George's face. Following the shot, Lillard waved goodbye to the Thunder and was immediately mobbed by his teammates and fans, who couldn't believe the shot he had just pulled off. Almost two years after that special shot, Lillard is now turning the moment into a sneaker. According to Nick DePaula of ESPN, Lillard is dropping a new colorway of the Adidas Dame 7 which features the same colors as the Thunder. As you can see in the tweets below, the shoe is mostly blue with some orange highlights, and there are some references to the game itself. The most obvious reference here is the fact that the insole actually contains Dame's statline from the game. This means you can see 50 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists written on the insole. These little details make the shoe a great collector's item for any Blazers fan. For now, a release date for these has yet to be announced, so keep it locked to HNHH as will be sure to bring those details to you, as soon as they become available. 24. Lil Wayne is often on the receiving end of the influence talk, being cited by tons of rappers in the game as one of their biggest inspirations. Jim Jones, however, is claiming that the rapper was inspired by the style and aesthetic of Dipset after spending the summer with the group, touching on the overall stylistic impact the rap group had on Y2K era hip hop. Bryan Bedder/Getty Images Speaking to Tuma Basa, the director of Black music and culture over at Youtube, the El Capo rapper dished about the time Juelz Santana spent with Weezy and the influence it had on him and his artistry in a new interview for HipHopDX. “Well Wayne spent the whole summer with us,” Jim began. “We spent the whole summer with Juelz pretty much. He just adapted all the styles. He pretty much knew what he was doing. He knew what he needed and sh*t like that to persevere in this game. And that was to be able to get an identity shift and shit like that. That’s what he did and shit like that. You dig.” Bryan Bedder/Getty Images He then went on to highlight how Wayne's signature aesthetic now has significant parallels to what The Diplomats' style was back then, and the inspiration they played on each other as artists. “They had a different way of moving and dressing coming from the South. Him being blood to correlation affiliation. Us being very drippy and sh*t like that. It was natural. It happens like that," he explained. He continued, "Most people that hang around us end up moving in one accord and sh*t like that, which is not a bad thing. If I was around some n*ggas like us, I would try to move like that too. These n*ggas looking kind of smooth, they fly, they gangsters. So shouts out to Wayne, shouts out to the whole Cash Money and sh*t like that.” The fashionable harmony Juelz and Wayne share can be seen in countless videos during their collaborative prime in the late 00s and 2010s era. Watch the clip from the interview above, and check out the full interview below. Be sure to drop a comment letting us know your take on Jones' comments. [via] View the full article
  25. Jennifer Lopez has been in the game for a hot minute. Nearly three decades, to be exact. From her career beginnings as a Fly Girl dancer to launching an incredibly successful solo career, Jennifer Lopez has done it all at the age of 51. Seriously, last year, she headlines the Super Bowl with Shakira and earlier this week, she sang at Joe Biden's inauguration. She's been an inescapable force for 20+ years. Today marks the 20th anniversary of her sophomore album, J. Lo that included the massive hit record, "Love Don't Cost A Thing." And while the record still slaps to this day, J. Lo appears to be revamping it for a new viral challenge called #LoveDontCostAThing challenge. The singer hit the 'Gram with a slew of photos that recreated her iconic look from the "Love Don't Cost A Thing" music video as well as a clip of her recreating a clip from the music video itself. "As I reflect on the fact that it’s the #JLo20thAnniversary, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for being with me, loving me and supporting me through all the ups and downs.
