  2. There has been a ton of drama surrounding Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans over the past few weeks, and at this point, things are looking grim in Houston. Despite signing the quarterback to a massive deal last season, Watson is extremely unhappy with the way the team has been run, and he is now looking for a way out of the city. As a way to show their support, some fans marched for Watson just last week, and now, the mayor of Houston is getting involved. In a recent tweet, Houston mayor Sylvester Turner sent a message to Watson, saying that the quarterback means a lot to the city and that he hopes something can be resolved. "Houston loves @deshaunwatson and the @HoustonTexans," Turner wrote. "Houston is a great city that is hungry to back our players and team. As Mayor of a City that is second to none, I pray we move forward together." Based on reports from Adam Schefter, it is unlikely that Watson decides to stay in Houston, regardless of who they hire as their next head coach. This is horrible news for the franchise, which will now have to undergo yet another rebuild. Keep it locked to HNHH for more updates on the situation. 3. In some instances, being fashionably late is basically a necessity. Yet in the case of Keyshia Cole, who showed up one hour late to her recent Verzuz battle with Ashanti, many viewers were not impressed with the discourteous move. Already, fans had grown weary with the myriad delays that impacted the event, and when Keyshia's unwillingness to deal with a visual technical issue left her missing in action, a wave of frustration swept tsunami-like over social media. Mindy Small/FilmMagic/Getty Images Now that a few days have passed and some of the dust has settled on the otherwise enjoyable and successful event, Keyshia Cole has taken a moment to address her tardiness "I want to apologize for not sitting my ass in that seat, because I was there and I should’ve sat down," during an Instagram Live session on Sunday. "I should’ve just sat in the seat, no matter if I felt like the visual wasn’t clear or they said my music wasn’t gonna be right or whatever it was." In fairness, Cole explained that she was hesitant to have her performance, and by extension, the battle as a whole, join the ranks of Verzuz matches plagued by technical difficulties; look no further than Ludacris and Nelly's anticipated event, which was ultimately impacted by some dubious internet connectivity. Upon being informed by OT Genasis (with whom she performed a beef-ending duet of "Love") that her visuals were on the blurry side, Cole feared the worst. "I was really skeptical about that," she explained. "I don’t want to go on and they not see me and I’m looking blurry, the connection is not right and everything like that." Check out her take on the situation below, and be sure to show some love to Keyshia Cole for holding it down against Ashanti in one of Verzuz's many record-shattering events. 4. Dave East has been flooding the streets, even after the release of the third installment in the Karma series this past summer. In the past two years, the rapper's emerged into the world of Hollywood while also dropping off his major-label debut, Survival. The rapper's in go-mode these days, which is apparent on his latest offering, "Mercedes Talk." The rapper takes on luxe production with a touch of Roc-A-Fella influence, thanks to Araab Muzik's touch. The exhilarating production carries the energy for East's laidback flow that weaves through with wordplay and vivid description of the Harlem streets that raised him. "Mercedes Talk" marks Dave East's third release of the month, following "Children Of The Ghetto," "No Lucc" and "Welcome Home DMX" with Jonezy. Check out his new record below. 5. Tom Brady won himself yet another conference championship game on Sunday as he defeated the Green Bay Packers to head to his 10th Super Bowl. It's a massive achievement in what has been a legendary career for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar. On February 7th, the Bucs will face the Kansas City Chiefs, and there is no doubt it will be a game for the ages. Unfortunately, Brady has gone through a lot of adversity this season, as it was revealed that both his mother and father had bad cases of COVID-19. While speaking to ESPN, Tom Brady Sr. noted that he was in the hospital for three weeks and that it was the fight of his life. Elsa/Getty Images "I was in the hospital with COVID for almost 3 weeks and my wife was sick with COVID at the same time," Brady Sr. said. "We didn't even see the first 2 games of the year. First 2 games I've ever missed in his career because I was sick as a dog and my wife was sick as a dog. It was a matter of life and death just like anybody [who] goes into the hospital ... serious stuff." The Bradys always go to Tom's games but this season, that simply wasn't possible, which is something that had a negative impact on Brady's play to start the season. Thankfully, Brady's parents are doing well now, and are resting comfortably at home. COVID-19 is no joke and it can effect everyone. [Via] View the full article
  6. Floyd Mayweather seemingly wants to be a big part of his grandson's life, making time for his daughter Iyanna "Yaya" Mayweather's newborn son. A few days ago, Yaya posted the first pictures of her baby boy Kentrell Jr. with granddad Floyd proudly holding the little one. That wasn't the only grandfather-grandson bonding time they got to spend together though because, on Sunday, Yaya posted more pictures of the two together at the newborn's first photoshoot. Unique Nicole/Getty Images One of the most integral parts of having a celebrity child is the inevitable photoshoot that takes place, revealing the baby to the world. Yaya Mayweather was quick to plan a photo-taking session for her baby with Youngboy Never Broke Again, sharing some behind-the-scenes footage on Instagram Stories, including one shot of the baby being held again by her father Floyd. Screenshot via Instagram Stories Screenshot via Instagram Stories "Papa came to support him at his first photoshoot," wrote Yaya as the caption. Later in the day, Yaya updated her followers with another video of Kentrell Jr. with Floyd, who carried the baby while watching the Chiefs game. Earlier this month, NBA Youngboy's mother revealed the name of the little one, but it remains unclear what their parenting situation will look like. 7. One of the frontrunners in UK's drill scene in Fredo who has gained a ton of success in recent years. The release of 2019's Third Avenue earned him praise across the world including a co-sign from Drake. But as his profile has blown up, he's been in the cut working away on his forthcoming project which it due out this Friday. Ahead of the release of Money Can't Buy Happiness, Fredo slid through with an introspective cut off of the project titled, "Back To Basics." 8. DaniLeigh previously embraced her status as the "most hated on" but she thought much of the criticism surrounding her stemmed from her relationship with rapper DaBaby. In recent weeks, it's become pretty clear that some of the things the artist has said, including her recent "Yellow Bone" song controversy, are at the center of why people aren't necessarily feeling the 26-year-old artist anymore, not her relationship. John Parra/Getty Images This weekend, DaniLeigh issued an apology for her "Yellow Bone" song teaser, which many have used to accuse the artist of being a colorist. Originally, Dani fought back against the song's critics. Then, when the topic began trending on social media, she was forced to take it more seriously, issuing an apology that many, including Chika, have deemed insincere and "not enough". Finally, on Sunday, Dani uploaded a video apology to anybody that was offended by her words in the song, as well as her previous apologies. Unfortunately, the video only seems to have dug a deeper hole for the artist to climb out of. "I’m not a colorist. I’m not a racist. I date a whole chocolate man. I have beautiful dark-skinned friends," said DaniLeigh in the video apology, which has a lot of people talking on social media. Some have compared her most recent statement to those who claim not to be racist "because they have Black friends". Others are canceling the rapper altogether, wondering aloud why she used the word "chocolate" to describe her boyfriend in a video where she also claims to not see skin color. Sarah Morris/Getty Images This situation is a whole mess and it's got DaniLeigh's public relations team working overtime. Check out some reactions to the drama below and let us know what you think of all this. View the full article
  9. At 22 years old, Ryan Garcia is considered to be one of the best young boxers in the entire world. He is fresh off of a win against Luke Campbell, which helped propel his overall record to 21-0. Many have been anticipating a matchup against the likes of Gervonta Davis, although now, it seems like he could be participating in a match against one of the most legendary boxers of all-time. Taking to Instagram yesterday, Garcia revealed that he would be fighting against Manny Pacquiao, who has 50 more fights than him and 20 more years on him, as well. While there have been no official announcements regarding the potential fight, Garcia appears to be confident that this thing is a done deal. "A dream turned reality," Garcia said. "It’s an honor to share the Ring with @mannypacquiao I will always respect what you did in and out the ring. Here’s to the best Man Winning." This fight doesn't really make sense for Garcia or Pacquiao given where they are in each other's careers. Regardless, it seems like this has always been a dream of Garcia's, and based on his IG post Garcia will do everything to make this happen. Stay tuned for updates on the potential fight, as we will be sure to bring them to you. Tim Warner/Getty Images View the full article
  10. We're approaching the one-year anniversary of Pop Smoke's tragic death. The Canarsie rapper was a little over a week removed from the release of Meet The Woo 2 when he was shot and killed during a robbery. His name's kept alive through the Brooklyn drill scene, and the rap community as a whole, as well as with the release of new music. Over the weekend, Steven Victor revealed that there was new music from Pop Smoke coming soon and it appears we'll be hearing an unreleased verse from the rapper this week. UK rapper Fredo has been leaving fans at the edge of their seats for the release of a new album. He announced it'll be arriving this Friday. The rapper shared a tracklist for the project that includes appearances from the late Pop Smoke, Summer Walker, as well as Dave, and Young Adz. Pop Smoke and Young Adz will connect with Fredo on "Burner On Deck." A snippet of the song is previewed in a new trailer. Fredo's teased the collaboration for a minute now. Last year, Fredo seemingly took issue with Brooklyn's drill scene, and American rappers in general, calling them "weird people." He did praise Pop in the midst of his stoned IG Live tirade. "Every American rapper I've bumped into -- all them yutes, they was nervous. Except Pop Smoke. Pop Smoke wasn't nervous," Fredo said before threatening to rob other American rappers when they tour overseas. Check the tracklist for Fredo's new album below. 13. We've come a very long way since the days when Chance The Rapper was crooning, "I met Kanye West, I'm never going to fail". Since then, Chance The Rapper released his much-critiqued debut studio album The Big Day, which many on social media would be quick to declare a failure. This weekend, things got even worse for Chano after the rapper was seemingly on the other end of a screaming showdown from his idol and mentor, and it was all captured on video. As previously reported, a video leaked from an alleged documentary that Kanye West could be planning to release alongside his next studio album. In the video, Kanye stands up and starts violently screaming at Chance The Rapper. The unintelligible argument seemed extremely tense, and Chance "liked" some tweets that could explain what actually went down. "Apparently chance wasn't there to work on the album but just to talk to kanye, and kanye being in an extremely manic episode didn't take it lightly," wrote one of the tweets that Chance liked. Another situates the viewer, claiming that this was shortly after his Twitter rant about Kris Jenner. Kevin Mazur/Getty Images Reactions have been loud in the days following the video's leak, with people joking about what Ye is screaming about. "Kanye telling chance his version of waves is trash and its not going on the album," laughed one person. "Kanye heard Chance rap Hot Shower and went crazy on him," said another popular account. Check out some of the most popular reactions below and let us know what you think about the video of Kanye screaming at Chance. View the full article
