  1. If you're an introvert like me, you'll totally disagree. While not having any upgrades in the past couple years, I still use the old power hoggers to crank the physical media. I've been doing much more audio files than cassettes, but the old audio tapes still find themselves in a player now and then. And I still listen to CDs regularly. Which means I purchase them. I am a collector and damn proud. But why am I defending myself here? This is a music site, not a p2p site. Anyhoo. Break the china, piss off the neighbors and scare the dog. My Fishers are nearly 20 years old and still kick ass.
  2. I'd have to agree. Originally, I thought the song to be lame. But it grew on me somehow. Probably because of her. She reminds me a bit of Aaliyah and Alicia Keyes, looks-wise. I've also fond new respect for it through my siblings. I could do without the whole Jay-Z intro. I just dig her voice. And the drum loop is way badass.
  3. Quiet Riot Singer Kevin DuBrow Died Of Cocaine Overdose: Report Coroner said toxicology results, which were released Monday, show that musician died of accidental drug overdose. Two weeks after news of his death first made headlines, the autopsy results on late Quiet Riot frontman Kevin DuBrow — who was found in his Las Vegas home November 25, dead at age 52 — were released Monday (December 10), according to The Associated Press. DuBrow reportedly died of an accidental cocaine overdose. The wire service claims Clark County coroner spokeswoman Samantha Charles confirmed the cause of death following the receipt of toxicology results, also on Monday. DuBrow's death was ruled accidental, and according to a spokesperson for the Las Vegas police department, there were no signs of forced entry at the home, and police have not suspected foul play. 9. All right, screw it... I'd give her My All.
  10. I love music and all, but if this shit came to Cali, I'd have issues. This is not a trend that needs to be imported here. Personally, I think it looks like crap. What's next? Tricked out Port-o-Johns? Keep it within the noise of New York.
  11. 1) Machine Head "The Blackening" 9) Megadeth "United Abominations" I would assume Sevendust is good, but haven't gotten around to that one yet.
  12. Hawthorne Heights guitarist Casey Calvert, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday after police were called to the band's tour bus outside Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club around 2:30 p.m. and found him unconscious. The Washington Post reported that Calvert's death came one day after he and his bandmates boarded the bus to begin their Wintour 2007 outing, which kicked off Friday night in Detroit. Police are awaiting results of an autopsy. On the group's Web site, fellow band members announced the death of their "quirky and awesome best friend," who they said had "passed away in his sleep." "Today is probably the worst day ever," the group wrote. "It's with our deepest regrets that we have to write this. Casey Calvert passed away in his sleep last night. We found out this afternoon before sound-check. We've spent the entire day trying to come to grips with this and figure out as much as possible. At this time we're not sure what exactly happened. Just last night he was joking around with everyone before he went to bed. We can say with absolute certainty that he was not doing anything illegal. Please, out of respect to Casey and his family, don't contribute or succumb to any gossip you may hear. We don't want his memory to be tainted in the least. Casey was our best friend. He was quirky and awesome and there will truly be no others like him! His loss is unexplainable. As soon as we know more we will let you know. Sincerely, Hawthorne Heights: Eron, JT, Micah and Matt." 14. LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Long-time Charmin bath tissue pitchman Dick Wilson -- known to millions as Mr. Whipple -- died Monday at the Motion Picture & Television Hospital in Woodland Hills, CA. He was 91. Wilson's career spanned nearly 70 years with roles in radio, television, film and theater. In his most famous role, Wilson portrayed grocer Mr. Whipple and made "Please don't squeeze the Charmin" a household phrase. Wilson appeared as Mr. Whipple in more than 500 spots for Charmin from 1964 through 1985. After a 14-year hiatus, Wilson reprised the role in 1999 to introduce a new version of Charmin. In 2001, Procter & Gamble, maker of Charmin, presented Wilson with a lifetime achievement award to commemorate his contribution to the brand. "It is not an exaggeration to say that the Mr. Whipple character, which Dick Wilson portrayed for so many years, is one of the most recognizable faces in the history of American advertising," said Dennis Legault, Charmin brand manager. "Dick deserves much of the credit for Charmin's success. He helped define Charmin with consumers, reinforcing the product's softness with the 'Please Don't Squeeze the Charmin' slogan. He is a part of the Charmin family, and he will be missed." Read entire story here.
  15. Sorry. I think I have a tendency to lean towards dysfunctional relationships and inherit them as my own. It's been like this for over a decade. Let's just say that between me and this mistress, both of our respective spouses did someone else first. I haven't been with her in three and a half months and I really don't see it going anywhere. I think it was just an immediate novelty to my new single status. This girl has baggage that would more than likely crush me. I'm not really in a position to hit the scene just yet, so it's easy to take what comes your way. I went through an 18-month dry spell a long time ago. It wasn't fun. While I don't necessarily feel desperate, a little companionship would be nice.
  16. Because the husband might not like me with his wife at their house. And it's on the way to my dad's. I'm going with #3. Will be leaving shortly. You all have a good one.
  17. Video: What if ‘24′ was set in 1994? lmao
  18. Working part day tomorow. The rest of the day could be one of the following: 1) come home and play NWN (average possibility) 2) go to a hotel and get laid (low possibility) 3) head down to my dad's to pre-empt Sunday's paternal Thanksgiving (average possibility) For Sunday (linked with above): 1) head to dad's after geeking it out the night before. 2) wake up alone at hotel and head to dad's 3) wake up at dad's and head to uncle's for turkey holiday For (my) Monday (off): 1-3) Wake up whenever and kill the day until I return back home.
  19. I may have to boycott Disturbed if they do that one and mess it up. It's one of my FNM faves.
