The two who co-wrote Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals, and Holywood will be sharing the stage once again. Joining Manson and Twiggy onstage for the U.S. leg of the Rape of the World Tour will be Chris Vrenna, Rob Holliday, and Ginger Fish. Tim Skold has amicably split with Manson, but future collaborations aren't being ruled out between the two. Expectations for the upcoming tour are best described by quoting one of Manson's most infamous lyrics, "Everyone will suffer now." Read tour dates here.
  10. BERLIN (Reuters) - German academics believe they have solved the centuries-old mystery behind the identity of the "Mona Lisa" in Leonardo da Vinci's famous portrait. Lisa Gherardini, the wife of a wealthy Florentine merchant, Francesco del Giocondo, has long been seen as the most likely model for the sixteenth-century painting. But art historians have often wondered whether the smiling woman may actually have been da Vinci's lover, his mother or the artist himself. Read entire story here.

  12. The Return to Castle Wolfenstein film's road to release took a tragic turn over the weekend, when its writer and director was involved in a fatal auto accident. The Los Angeles Times reports that Roger Avary, 42, was arrested following a crash early Sunday morning outside a lumberyard. As a result of the accident, Avary's passenger, 34-year-old Andreas Zedini, was killed instantly while Avary's 40-year-old wife, Gretchen, was hurled from the back seat. She remains hospitalized with "serious" injuries. According to a spokesperson for the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, Avary was booked at the Ventura County Jail before he was released on $50,000 bail. According to the Associated Press, he faces felony drunk driving and possibly manslaughter charges. Sunday's crash marked dark chapter in Avary's bright career. He won an Academy Award in 1995 for cowriting the screenplay for Pulp Fiction, and most recently executive-produced and cowrote the script for Robert Zemeckis' computer-animated fantasy Beowulf. Games-wise, Avary also wrote the fairly well-received adaptation of Konami's Silent Hill series, directed by Christopher Gans. Return to Castle Wolfenstein had been set for a 2010 release following a delay stemming from the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike. Source

  14. Cool stuff. Some facts are misleading/exaggerated: 46. Peanuts can be made into diamonds. (Peanut Butter, actually. Nothing is stated about raw peanuts.) 55. Books used to be bound in human skin. (It was one book or a series of books. Not all books in general at the time.)
  15. So they will sue "most" people then? How about the ones that have never file-shared? It's too much to differentiate in the world. A truly moronic endeavor.
  16. Brandy won't be charged in deadly crash The Los Angeles city attorney's office said Friday it will not charge Brandy in a deadly December 2006 freeway crash. Spokesman Nick Velasquez said there is "insufficient evidence" for a jury to find the 28-year-old actress-singer guilty of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter beyond a reasonable doubt. The decision runs counter to a recommendation from the California Highway Patrol that Brandy, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, be charged in the Dec. 30, 2006, crash. Read entire story here.
  17. From what I saw, she was damn near a hottie.
  18. I know at least one of you have tuned in to at least one part of this special. If not, from what I saw from my recorded first installment, "The Birth of Rock," it looks to be a pretty thorough timeline. I learned much from the premiere episode. Segments are available here on the VH1 Classic website. While names like Dude, Kooperman and Rainbowdemon immediately come to mind, I would recommend all BK'ers to check this program out if you have a hint of Rock in your veins. It's got good musical stuff. (I knew about it weeks ago, but didn't realize it's impact until I finally got around to watching it today. Sorry for the belated news.)

Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me." According to the interview, Jamie Lynn confirmed the pregnancy through a home test. She later paid a visit to the doctor, who corroborated the news. She said she revealed the news to her parents shortly before Thanksgiving. Read entire story here.
