Happy Friday 11/19/04. Wassup for the Weekend?

I bought that Gamecube deal, where you get two controllers and Mario Kart Double Dash with it, for the price of just the console. I'm sure that will consume my time, seeing how I'm not working for the first weekend in forever.

Last night I went bowling and got an all time low score... played bingo too. Old lady? Yep. :)

it's suppose to rain here until next Wed. and is steadily pouring right now  no concerts to work this weekend so I am going to put some good music on and clean the house, maybe some pipe music or Floyd, it's that kind of day  Sunday, watch some football and make something good for dinner. I love rainy days

We just o back from the concert and we're heading out right away for a movie [Kids are at Grandma's for the first time in a long time]

It's the first concert since I gave up the smoke, smoking and drinking.

Didn't matter a damn, I screamed myself hoarse.

I'll post some pics and a decent write-up tomorrow. :good job:

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
