Can You Get an eMac for $25?

Japanese Web site mistakenly offers Apple's computers at a steep discount.

A Japanese company says it was deluged with thousands of orders for multiple Apple Computer eMac PCs this week after a glitch caused the computers to be listed on an online shopping site for the knock-down price of $25.

Catena says it received orders from around 20,000 people for a total of 100 million of the computers, but in a message on its Web site says it won't be able to fulfill the orders.

Guest .::BeatFactory::.

I like Mac's since that was the first computer I ever worked with when I was about 10 on a powermac. The only thing that gets me is no right button on all those clear apple mouse's. I'm just so used to it from the PC... and yeah I know they are available on the Mac's it's just they don't usually come with it :)

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
