I can see that some people may want to be cautious. I don't think that the industry would have anything to gain by attacking individuals. Anyway, users can always switch off browsing files, forcing a direct chat if people want to check out eachother collections.

Ultimately, how much longer is BK going to be "low key"? I suppose unlike ZP, BK is a lot more about the music than learning the tricks of the trade.

The chats can't be set up by invitation only.

Does anyone not hang out in the Ares/anyother chat because of the profile of the chat?

In a somewhat related topic, the channel has 26 users in it with about 9 people actively chatting,

Not everyone is from ZP or BK though. It's compiled of a whole arsenal of people from many different communities.

Is that good or bad, or par for the course? Im still having technical problems but Method has promised to sort those out sometime next week when hes not as busy ...

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
