Nebraska won their game. It's not lookin good for your Lions.

A sad day indeed. USC killed us in the second quarter. We came back in the second half, but too late and too short 38-24

WOW! Utah beat Bama! What an upset. I'm glad the other conferences are gaining some recognition. Damn BCS anyway!

Explain why Utah, after finishing an unbeaten season with a 31-17 victory over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl on Friday night, cannot be national champions.

I couldn't explain why. I don't think anyone could. The BCS is just a big mess. According to them there are only 6 conferences that are worthy to have a championship team. The Mountain West conference isn't one of them.

Palm has a suggestion for this crazy season. He would like the AP poll voters to get together and declare Utah, Texas and USC national tri-champions. With the winner of the Florida-Oklahoma game finishing atop the coaches' poll, there would then be four schools claiming the mythical national title.

"It would be perfect," Palm said. "Everybody gets to go home happy. Like youth soccer."

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
