( shadow of your love and a live version of the song the Blues) they were quite good actually, even though the production was not the best, but thats to be expected for a live bootleg!

I thought it didn't sound anything like old GnR. It wasn't bad, but definitely not like the old sound. I guess that is to be expected since Axl is the only remaining original member. It's more like Axl and friends. He just got to keep the GnR name.

Personally, I thought it was terrible. The only parts I enjoyed were the Buckethead guitar parts, and there weren't enough of them

I was a big GNR fan when I was younger and to be honest I'm not sure this was worth the wait. Didn't do a lot for me and certainly don't expect to see it in many end of year Best Of lists.

I have yet to hear the album, but the reviews I have seen tell me I am not missing anything. To wait this long just to disappoint is not good for GNR. I will give it a listen before I judge it myself though.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
