Hacker Aboard

Recommended Posts

Our boards were carefully chosen with a bunch of other boards to be hacked by some vietnamese dude. Some problems are still present but most is back to normal. We will upgrade to the latest board software as soon as possible. Version 2.2 was released a few days ago and it looks cool.

Nothing to worry about though. It was a minor problem. Kooperman, you can stop worrying now and try to get some sleep.

Cheers!

Meth were all your patches up to date?

All the patches are here but I wanted a day or two to check out the new version. Major CSS changes and I wanted to fix the skins. The upgrade will take place tomorrow probably

I'm going around changing passwords. I'm using scriptblock to figure out where all to go.

Anyone familiar with that jdoqocy-dot-com that's trying to load off the front page? Is that one of our advertisers or a left over from our friend?

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
