It's been above zero here for the last 2 days.

Sweet, but car looks like hell from slush thrown from other cars.

Welcome aboard, HH

I forgot to ask-- Is anyone going to Tom's Wedding?

going to Basingstoke to meet this dude Rapunzel for the first time (he's been on the freeA3 board since last year) and his family, staying over at their 11th (or 16th) century priory (!!!) tonight after we all see the Rock Freebase Showband in Reading.

i'm stoked again, wheeeeeeeee! great music, dancing our asses off and partying afterwards w/the band. :)

I went to Tom's wedding but I couldn't stand Jennifer talking to me all the time so I left.

O ther than that, pretty normal although I can't drink alcohol because I'm taking some pills that don't allow that.

It's almost 8am and 36F here.

Last night was a small get together for a friend's birthday. We were attached at the hip in 8th and 9th grade. We grew apart but whenever we talk, which was maybe twice a year, it is as though no time passes. Lately we've hung out more and it's still cool. They made her a penis cake, complete with sprinkles and curvy candles strategically placed.

Tonight is a friend's 21st celebration, but I don't know if I'm attending that. Another friend, a closer friend, is having her housewarming party. I'll try to make it to both, but the timing is horrible so we'll see. The one with the 21st completely ditched me the other day. We're giving her a TV stand, and she was supposed to come pick it up but she went and got a tattoo instead. And didn't call me. So I'm kind of mad at her... I know that isn't a good reason to skip out on her birthday.

Tomorrow is.... nothing. No plans.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
