This wreck happened about 1 to 1 1/2, 2 hrs ago. I didn't know it happended until I took my dog outside and came around the corner of my building and saw this. Don't know whose fault it is, but I think three cars were involved. They had one car up on a flatbed already (don't know if this car was involved or if the driver just happen by). This happened right behind my apartment building. Must have happened while I was in the shower, because I didn't hear anything earlier when I was still on the net.

They both landed in pretty deep ditch: the guy sitting down (in the hat) on the left I believe to be the driver of the truck. I think some young kid (teenager) was driving the SUV.

This same ditch likes the "eat" cars. People who don't pay attention sometimes end up in this ditch. I took these from my patio.

OUCH!!

Yeah, everyone involved is okay, maybe a little shaken up. Two cars were involved and about 7 or 8 wreckers showed up!! And one DPS officer....oh and one ambulance.

pulling the SUV out of the ditch...

I love the cop - he looks so American with that hat - fresh out of a horror film set in a small town.

LOL, where to begin? the real thing is much scarier than that we see in films; a lot of them take their authority way too far. :nope:

and it's not a 'respect mah authoriteeeeah!' type of thing

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
