Wildlife regulators took the first step Tuesday to bar hunters from using the Internet to shoot animals, responding to a Texas Web site that planned to let users fire at real game with the click of a mouse.

Come to Texas and find out.

The rifle is set up to be controlled from the internet. You pay money for a certain time period and if you see a game animal you can manipulate the gun to aim it and then fire it. If no animal passes within field of view during your allotted time period, you spent your money just the same.

btw, I checked and liberals are not to be targeted. It seems that liberals are not classified as a "game" animal. They are a "varmint" similar to rats and skunks but not as intelligent or as fragrant. The web site mentioned only allows game animals to be shot at this time. They have plans to shoot liberals next year but need to install several thousand rifles to accommodate the expected surge in business.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
