LONDON (Reuters) - A Welsh rugby fan cut off his own testicles to celebrate Wales beating England at rugby, the Daily Mirror has reported.

Geoff Huish, 26, was so convinced England would win Saturday's match he told fellow drinkers at a social club, "If Wales win I'll cut my balls off", the paper said on Tuesday.

Haha. Either sheep up and down wales will be celebrating tonight, or this story has been made up by an Englishman.

The English have a history of making up stories about their weaker victors. After losing a battle in Wales, the English said that the women in a nearby village cut off the penises of the fallen englishman and put them in the mouths of their corpses. The story may or may not be true.

Perhaps this is a modern day version. Some people take rugby very seriously.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
