  1. Ab-Soul has been quiet over the past few years... like real quiet. He dropped his fourth studio album, Do What Thou Wilt, at the tail-end of 2016, promoted it on tour and then disappeared. Well, disappeared from the public eye at least. Time out of the limelight is usually good for the soul and the creative process, so we're stoked to hear that the TDE artist's next project will be coming in 2020. Ab-Soul shared this news at the inaugural Day N Vegas Festival this past weekend. Although The Black Lipped Pastor didn't appear on many festival lineups this year, he apparently rocked the crowd and showed no traces of hiatus rust. According to Billboard, he performed cosmological cuts like "Bohemian Grove" and "Terrorist Threats", as well as songs that feature his late friend, Mac Miller, like "D.R.U.G.S." and "The Law". James W. Lemke/Getty Images Soulo addressed the elephant in the room - when he'd be sharing new music - when he ended his set with a freestyle. He rapped, "You know what this is, the Ab-Soulution/ In conclusion, I got the answer / There’s no room for confusion, we in a different space/ The curly-haired Confucius in Gucci shades/ Visionary with the scarred cornea/ But I’m the lion in The Chronicles of Narnia.” Before walking offstage, he said, “New album 2020. We takin’ everything.” Read the highlights from the REVOLT Summit panel on "What It Takes To Be In TDE?". View the full article
  2. Being a sneakerhead is a bit of a wild game sometimes because you never know what you're going to have to do in order to cop some shoes. When sneakers are limited, it means you're going to have to put in extra time to secure the pair that you want. For instance, you may have to have multiple tabs open for an online release or you'll even have to line up for hours just for the chance at getting a pair. Over the weekend, the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Fearless" came out and it was fairly highly sought after. One consumer in Michigan went to the sneaker boutique Burn Rubber although he was late and ended up far back in the line. To compromise, he agreed to eat some tequila worms as long as he was guaranteed a pair of shoes. Based on the video below, you can see that he actually did it. Luckily, it appears as though he was able to get the shoes although he probably had an upset stomach in the process. This is yet another example of sneakerheads doing everything and anything to get their hands on some shoes, even if a disgusting act has to go down. As for the store, well, they're getting some hefty criticism online. They haven't commented on the situation but from an outsider's perspective, it doesn't look too good. [Via] View the full article
  3. Whether or not you like Drake, you can't deny that his business acumen is on point. From running OVO and the Drake brand to venturing into liquor and champagne as well as the restaurant business and film and television, Drizzy's expanding his business portfolio like crazy these days. But even as one of the most wealthy rappers in the game, what's the next move? Perhaps a flower business or a weed company. Drake hit the 'Gram with a post earlier today teasing a new company called More Life Growth Co. The post didn't provide much context aside from a private Instagram account @morelife. At first glance, you might think this could be something to do with music but it appears from several comments that it's a new business venture. A few suggested that it's a new weed brand which would make total sense -- he's a rapper from one of the few countries where weed is legal. Why the hell wouldn't he get into the game? Although it's yet to be confirmed, it appears that he kicked off the campaign across his hometown of Toronto today by having his team give out free bouquets of flowers to random citizens. Additionally, media outlets and offices also received some free flowers from The Boy. According to Breakfast Television Toronto's Dina Pugliese, The Boy will be making an official announcement about More Life Growth Co. this Thursday. Of course, More Life is the name of his 2017 mixtape but more importantly, it's also the feeling one gets after taking a 3.5G Backwood to the face. View the full article
  4. The third Bad Boys film dropped off its first trailer at the top of fall and after a few months of anticipation, we've been blessed with a new trailer that showcases just how much action the movie is about to deliver. The under three-minute clip sees Will Smith's character, Mike Lowrey, get a little wild on the streets of Miami as he drifts his Porche up and down the streets almost giving Martin Lawrence's character, Marcus Burnett, a heart attack. Rachel Murray/Getty Images Elsewhere in the teaser, Marcus and Mike get assigned to work with a new team of cops that Mike calls a "high school musical boy band with guns." Vanessa Hudgens, Joe Pantoliano (reprising this role as Captain Howard), Charles Melton and Alexander Ludwig are all apart of the film that follows their battle with a Romanian mob boss who seeks revenge after the death of his brother. The first Bad Boys film pulled in a whopping $141 million USD and we can only hope the new Bad Boys For Life pulls in just as much success. The film hits theaters on January 17th, 2020. Peep the full trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments. View the full article
  5. Meek Mill's been rubbing shoulders with a lot of very wealthy people in recent times. As he's soaked up game from people like Robert Kraft and Michael Rubin, he also became incredibly tight with some of hip-hop's wealthiest artists including Jay-Z. Meek and Hov have formed not only a close personal relationship but an equally tight business relationship, too. Hov's gifted Meek some expensive items in the past but apparently, Hov's out here giving out Rolexes as VIP passes. Meek took to Instagram earlier today where he shared an image of a gifted Rolex. The Rollie in question could be regarded as a gift from Jay-Z but apparently, there's a purpose to it. Meek revealed that Hov was sending out Rolexes as VIP passes to people. He didn't mention what the VIP passes were for but it seems likely it could be for the Shawn Carter Foundation Gala which takes place on Nov. 15th. "Hov sent these as vip passes smh this rich shit getting out of control lol," he wrote. "I'm not joking lol." This isn't the first time that Meek's received a high-end gift from Jay-Z. Following the release of his latest project, Championships, Meek took to the 'Gram to reveal that Jay gifted him an original Roc-A-Fella chain off of his neck. Peep Meek Mill's post below. 6. Lil Mosey has been putting in work over the past year and some change. Northsbest helped solidify him as a new artist to keep an eye out for and he hasn't disappointed this year. The rapper's follow-up Certified Hitmaker is set to drop this Friday. Before its release, Mosey came through with another new cut off of the project, "Live This Wild." The new single is a strong indication of what we can expect from him on his forthcoming project which is hopefully, certified hits as the project's title suggest. Mosey's latest single follows a string of drops to build the hype including some high profile collabs. He teamed up with Chris Brown for "G Walk" and later, joined forces with Gunna on "Stuck In A Dream." Keep your eyes peeled for Certified Hitmaker. 8. Anthony Davis was one of the biggest players on the trading block this summer and the Los Angeles Lakers were able to acquire him in a massive deal. It was pretty obvious that the Lakers would be the team to get him but there were no guarantees. The peculiar part about the trade is that Davis will be a free agent as of next summer which means they only have one season to impress him. Considering LeBron is on the team, that shouldn't be too difficult although sometimes, you never really know. During a recent visit to his hometown of Chicago, Davis spoke about free agency and how he wouldn't rule out returning to his home. These comments were quickly picked up by various outlets and today, Davis made sure to walk them back. According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Davis said he just wants to win a title in Los Angeles and won't be worrying about anything else. As of right now, the Lakers are first place in the Western Conference with a record of 5-1 and seem to be a prime contender for the championship this season. With LeBron and AD at the helm, the team is in good hands and it will be interesting to see how their dynamic shifts as the season goes on. Do you think the Lakers have what it takes to win it all this year? View the full article
  9. When G Herbo ended things with his ex Ari Fletcher he started dating Emily Bustamante's daughter, Taina. The fling wasn't taken too seriously at first, but after some time their love for each other was evident and Taina's step-father Fabolous even co-signed their relationship. Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images "You know I’ve been sitting back to see what kinda dude @latainax3 linked up with but your energy is genuine every trip, you been solid in every situation & you make her happy thru it all ON BROOO!! 10. Charlamagne Tha God wouldn't be where he is today if it wasn't for Wendy Williams. He's often credited the controversial talk show host for helping him launch his own career in radio. Unfortunately, the two had a falling out that was made even more public earlier this year. Although they've maintained their distance from one another, it looks like they are back together at last. Wendy Williams hit the 'Gram to reveal that she and Charlamagne Tha God hashed things out and are back on good terms after feuding for nearly 10 years. Wendy shared a photo of herself (or her hair?) and Charlamagne Tha God, who was all smiles while announcing that they're cool with each other now. "He learned from the best. Loyalty is everything! My guy is doing his thing," she wrote on the picture. Although they were at odds, Charlamagne Tha God previously suggested that it could've been Wendy's estranged husband, Kevin, who told her some false information about him. Wendy's messy divorce that occurred earlier today seemingly ended up bringing her and Charlamagne Tha God together. Following the news, Charlamagne revealed that he was once on a trip with Wendy Williams and her ex-husband when Kevin Hunter allegedly flew out his sidepiece, Sharina. However, Sharina was apparently trying to hook up with one of Charlamagne's friends and when Kevin found out, it apparently left a bad taste in his mouth. View the full article
  11. BBG Baby Joe isn't the most well-known rapper in the world but he's gained some notoriety because of his close friendship with YoungBoy Never Broke Again. The two Baton Rouge presences have been on the come up for years and right now, YoungBoy is absolutely striving. Despite his legal difficulties, he remains the undisputed King of YouTube, racking up millions of plays on a daily basis. This weekend, he and Baby Joe had the scare of a lifetime when the latter was targeted in a shooting back home, ending with three men injured and zero deaths. Baby Joe is doing alright after surviving a gunshot wound to his ear. In fact, the man went live on Instagram just minutes after the entire ordeal went down. He could be seen with a wrap around the side of his head, controlling the bleeding and serving as a dressing for his ear. According to The Advocate and VladTV, three people were hit with gunfire on Saturday afternoon with Baby Joe being one of them. Two of the men were reportedly taken to the hospital via ambulance while the third was driven there in a private vehicle. They are believed to have been shot while driving. All victims are expected to survive their injuries. Praying for BBG Baby Joe and the two others that were struck. View the full article
  12. Many could argue that 50 Cent destroyed Ja Rule's career but at times, it seems like Ja Rule did it for himself. Take, for example, his recent Twitter rant regarding the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich. Ja Rule, who is still facing the public backlash of the disaster that was Fyre Festival, had some harsh words to say, specifically to the Black community, about the popularity of the sandwich. "Y’all really out here acting like n***s over a fucking chicken sandwich... smh... now I’m never gonna eat one on principles alone!!! Fucking idiots y’all are what’s wrong with our people... I’m so disappointed in my ppl we better than this," he wrote. It did not take long for him to face immediate backlash over the Fyre Festival incident that left many eating cheese sandwiches. One fan told Ja that he could've done better than Fyre Festival but the rapper still denies any wrongdoing. "We are FAR from even... trying to start a viable business that failed vs. cooning over a chicken sandwich... We are NOT the same," he replied. That prompted another fan to remind him that Fyre Festival wasn't actually a viable business. "I didn’t rob anyone Billy did that’s why he’s in prison... but continue to blame the black guy with false accounts of wtf happened," he added. Nevertheless, the Internet was very quick to remind Ja Rule of the two documentaries that dropped earlier this year. They also reminded him that a man was about to give someone a blowjob in order to provide water for the festival. Internet: 1 Ja Rule: -10 Peep the reactions below. View the full article
  13. We tried this out a few weeks ago with Kid Cudi and your fan-voted results determined that "Soundtrack 2 My Life" is your favorite song of all-time from the Ohio-born icon. The cult-favourite pick had us thinking; who else should we compile a track bracket for? Since you guys had been participating strongly in our Instagram stories, voting on a daily basis for your picks, we went with an obvious choice for the next installation. Yesterday, we kicked off the official HNHH Drake Track Bracket. Of course, the world-renowned recording artist has too many hits for us to include on the banner. However, we tried our best and came through with thirty-two songs this time around. Christopher Polk/Getty Images The first round is closed and now, the decisions start to get more and more intense. In a few days, we'll be crowning the winner but until then, you've got some hard dilemmas to consider. There is still a healthy selection of songs from throughout all of Drake's past eras. This round, we've got "0-100" going up against "Marvins Room", "Tuscan Leather" facing "HYFR" and "Worst Behavior" taking on "Best I Ever Had." We're not entirely sure how anybody will be able to choose between these but hey, we've got to narrow it down to two songs eventually... right? To participate, head over to our page on Instagram, follow us and watch our story right now to vote for your favs. You have the power to determine what the best Drake song of all time is. 15. Jimmy Butler made headlines this summer when he showed up to the first Miami Heat practice a full 6.5 hours early at 3:30am, but he insists it had nothing to do with him trying to be a show off. Some of Butler's teammates, like Meyers Leonard and Bam Adebayo, followed his lead while other players around the league, such as Cleveland Cavaliers' big man Kevin Love, scoffed at the notion of training at such an ungodly hour. “Come on man. It’s a long season,” Love said, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com. “I think Jimmy is an amazing player, but I think there are some things that are for show. We’ve been putting in long hours so us getting up at 3:30 and getting in there is not going to do anything for us but make us mad.” Mike Lawrie/Getty Images During Monday's episode of the “Winging It With Vince Carter” podcast, Butler addressed Love's comments. “Somebody was telling me that K. Love was like, ‘Oh he does this for show,'” Butler said. “It’s like, ‘Motherfucker, you come do what I do.’ People don’t understand, I do this s— everyday in the summer. If you know me, and you get up and you work the way that I work, you see that it’s not for show. If it was for show I would have been the one to put it on the internet. I don’t talk about it, I just go do it.” As for why he feels the need to work out while everyone else is snoozing, Butler explains, “I do it to be in the best shape that I can, to help my team and my organization thrive and win. Not everybody can handle it. Not everybody can do it.” Whatever Butler and the Heat did this off-season it appears to be working, as they are sitting atop the Eastern Conference at 5-1 through the first two weeks of the season. 16. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 4, Jumpman has been going all out with the colorways this year and as we approach the end of 2019, they are about to unleash their most ambitious creation yet. If you're not familiar, the four OG colorways of the Air Jordan 4 are "Military Blue," "Fire Red," "White Cement," and "Bred." With the "What The" Air Jordan 4, Jordan Brand is merging all four of those colorways together to create a mismatched pair of shoes. As you can see from the Instagram post below, the shoe is mostly covered in white leather whole patches of blue, red, black, and grey cement are placed throughout in seemingly random order. It's a pretty phenomenal look that pays homage to some of the best Jordan 4 colorways of all-time. Thanks to @zsneakerheadz, we have some beauty shots courtesy of Shoe Palace and they make the shoe look even better. For those looking to cop these, they will most likely be limited although you'll at least have a puncher's chance at securing them on Saturday, November 23rd for $200 USD. What's cool is these will also be coming in full family sizes so there will be something for the whole family. View the full article
  17. Thutmose has given us plenty reason to anticipate the release of his latest EP, Don't Wake Me. His 2018 project, Man On Fire, was a strong assertion of his potential, but the singles he dropped this year showed him distilling his sound. The first single off the new EP was "Ambience". It's an enrapturing blend of all the worlds that Thutmose aims to weave together. Afrobeat accents are infused with soulful earnestness and pop sensibilities. This EP is more proof that his musical vision isn't too grand to execute. The irresistible rhythm of afrobeat is most prominent on "In The Morning", which features fellow Nigerian star, Rema. The stomps and claps continue on the following track, "Memories", that makes use of lingering piano chords to deliver as moving of a chorus as "Ambience". As if the musical ambitions of this project weren't impressive enough, there's also a concept running through it. As the title suggests - and the cover of Thutmose wrapped in gold satin sheets - the songs play on themes of sleep. Love is interlaced with drugs and dreams, so Thutmose is always fighting to maintain a hold on reality. The stunning clarity of the EP is evidence that he succeeded. 18. Berner and Mozzy joined forces earlier this year for their joint project, Slimey Individualz. The California natives came through with a dope project from top to bottom but following its release, they continued to release their own solo work. Now, they've returned together at least for a new single off of Berner's forthcoming project, La Plaza. Over chilly yet soulful production, the two rappers detail a bleak reality while flexing their storytelling skills on "3 Deep." Berner and Mozzy share tales of robbing and running through the streets. Berner's new project dives deeper into his Latin heritage with appearances from Jon Z, De La Ghetto, and Nengo Flow. Other features on the project include Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, Fat Joe, Cypress Hill, Mozzy, OMB Peezy, Nef The Pharaoh, Lil Pete, and more. 19. If you're a Cleveland Browns fan, then you're well aware of what an unmitigated disaster this season has been. At first, it seemed like the Browns could have been a real playoff contender thanks to Baker Mayfield and all of his various different offensive weapons. In the end, though, the season quickly became a lost cause as they have started the first eight games with a record of 2-6. Mayfield has been less than stellar and at times, has been a turnover machine who is testing the patience of Browns fans and his biggest target, Odell Beckham Jr. In a recent interview with TMZ, Michael Vick was caught and the airport and was asked about what's going on with Mayfield. As it turns out, Vick is a big Baker fan and just wants him to stay the course. Vick thinks he'll be able to turn it around and wants to see him get the ball to his best weapons. "Baker's my dude," Vick said. "Just keep pluggin'. All the outside noise, you're gonna get that. You gotta be mentally tough at the quarterback position. "At the end of the day, he gotta throw the ball to Odell Beckham." Mayfield could use all the help he can get right now so he would be best served by taking Vick's advice. The Browns season might be a lost cause but there is still time to improve and get the troops regrouped for next year. View the full article
  20. Believe it or not, City Girls' Yung Miami just had a baby under four weeks ago. The "Act Up" rapper welcomed her second child but first with 808 Mafia's Southside and named the cute little girl Summer. The rapper caught some flack for comments she made about her baby looking "Chinese or Asian" on the day of her birth and since all that has died down, Yung has come through to share a mirror selfie showing off her slim frame. Ser Baffo/Getty Images The 25-year-old is seen in the clip below showing off her fit post-pregnancy body with no caption required. The post pulled in lots of comments by users shocked by her body bounce-back with Erica Mena writing, "Go off!!." When Yung first announced her pregnancy to the world, she admitted she was a little nervous about any potential backlash. "When women usually get pregnant in hip-hop, they feel like their career is over. But the times have changed now, you can have a baby and still pursue your career," she told the Chicago Tribune. On the topic of working with her man Southside, Yung made it clear that she separates her relationship from their workship. "If I want to go in the studio, he’ll give me whatever I want — but I’d just rather not work with him because he’ll go hard on me," she explained. "I think that’s what I need, but it’s just like, “Send me the beat, I’ll do my part and get it back to you.” Paras Griffin/Getty Images View the full article
  21. Trump has said a few racist remarks in the past but to this day, he denies that he's any sort of racist. People have railed against him but he and his supporters still lean on the fact that he used to hang out with rappers. However, he hasn't really defended himself in recent times with the impeachment inquiry looming and all. His kids, on the other hand, are trying to silence the narrative surrounding their father's racist tendency. Andrew H. Walker/Getty Images Trump Jr., the author of Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us, which sounds like it was co-written by Alex Jones, Candace Owens, and Tomi Lahren, defends his father against being called a racist. Trump Jr., apparently, has proof, too. He claims that it's impossible for the president to be racist. Why? Because DJT gave his son permission to hang out with Michael Jackson. "Oh, and by the way, given all the things my father has been called, particularly a 'racist,' it sure sounds odd that he'd let his son vacation with a black man or hang out with Michael Jackson, doesn't it?'" Trump Jr. reportedly in the book, according to the Daily Beast. "If he's a racist, he's sure not very good at it." Perhaps the real question is why Eric and Donald Jr. needed permission to hang out with Michael Jackson unless they were underaged. In which case, there might be a few other questions worth asking. 22. Despite not having released a single song in 2019 until last week, 21 Savage is still one of the most consumed artists on streaming services this year. Much of that likely has to do with his immigration case from earlier in the year, making major news headlines when it was revealed that he was not born in the United States. He makes reference to his legal status in a new snippet and, a few days ago, he finally dropped "Immortal" after previewing it in the Mortal Kombat trailer. On a list of the artists with the most hit songs on the Billboard Hot 100 this year, 21 Savage clocked in with twelve entries and that surprised the living hell out of him. Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images Last year's i am > i was album was met with much commercial and critical success, being hailed as the Atlanta rapper's best work yet. One of the most trusted numbers-based music services online, ChartData, just revealed a chart of the artists and rappers who dominated this year on Billboard and 21 Savage managed to snag twelve different entries on the Hot 100. Many of those are likely songs from the album, which was released in December. His response to that was appropriate and hilarious. "I haven’t even dropped nothing in 2019," wrote the star next to a laughing emoji. DaBaby and Post Malone are tied for first place with twenty tracks apiece while Taylor Swift, Drake, Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish all follow closely behind. Shoutout to 21 Savage for coming through with the smash records. View the full article
  23. For years, the Chargers were always San Diego's team as they built up quite the fanbase in the city. Over the years though, it seemed like the team just wasn't viable there anymore and they ended up moving to Los Angeles where they have almost zero real fans. If you're in Los Angeles, you're already a Rams fan so there is no reason to really cheer for the Chargers. These factors have caused a whole bunch of rumors to float around, including one from The Athletic that states the team could be moving to London, England next year. Chargers owner Dean Spanos was asked about the report and he gave a pretty quick and swift response to it all. "It's total f**king bulls**t, OK?" Spanos said. "We're not going to London. We're not going anywhere. We're playing in Los Angeles. This is our home. This is where I'm planning to be for a long f**king time. Period." If the Chargers were to move anywhere, it would most likely be back to San Diego as the fans are clamoring for their team back. For now, things aren't working out too well in Los Angeles but you never know, there is time to turn things around. As for London, the NFL has been throwing around this idea for a while but it might take a while before it ever comes to fruition. [Via] View the full article

  25. Once you start, you can't really stop. Ask anybody who's ever gotten a tattoo. They will happily tell you all about their fresh ideas for new ink. When it comes to Lil Wayne, the superstar rapper barely has any room left on his body to fill out so he's resorted to getting needles in his face, etching his visage with tons of drawings that mean a lot to him. He's had face tats for a minute but at a recent Halloween party, he reportedly debuted a number of new ones, adding to his already vast collection. Tunechi already had a lot of ink on his face, including a lightning bolt, some teardrops, the words "Fear" and "God," and more but he seemingly has nearly a handful of new pieces to talk about. According to Hip Hop Lately, the name "BOB" was added just above one of his eyebrows, possibly referencing the officer that saved his life. Another addition appears to show a map of Africa in the center of his forehead. At this point, Weezy is even running out of room on his face. How do you feel about his new tats? Are you feeling them? personally, I think they suit his look and add to his identity. View the full article
