  1. Throughout his feud with Eminem, Nick Cannon was adamant that he respected Em's position as one of the greatest rap artists of all time. However, that didn't stop him from wanting to travel to Detroit to lay the beats on him. Eminem and Nick Cannon have had their differences for years, stemming from Em's comments about Nick's ex-wife Mariah Carey. Last year, Nick even released a trio of diss records aimed at the legendary rapper. After all that, it looks like the controversial comedian is looking into the possibility of patching things up with Marshall Mathers, reaching out an olive branch and discussing what needs to be done during a talk with Fat Joe. "One day, hopefully, dude and I will get an opportunity to sit down, 'cause like I said, I do respect his ability," said Nick on Fat Joe's show. Joey Crack is happy to see that the beginning of their mediation may have started on his show, offering his services to mediate the conversation between Em and Nick. "If you can do it, man," accepted Nick. "I been trying to get...I done talked to Royce, we trying to really get it popping, 'cause I think at the end two men need to really have that conversation. While you at it, tell him to come...we'll set up an exclusive Wild'n Out Detroit." While we're almost certain that Eminem would not agree to appear on Wild'N Out, crazier things have happened. Do you think it's time for Nick Cannon and Eminem to put their differences to the side? [via] View the full article
  2. Cam Newton had a huge opportunity yesterday and he absolutely seized it. The New England Patriots quarterback was playing his first game with the team, and he ended up leading them to a victory against the Miami Dolphins. Newton was able to pick up two rushing touchdowns while completing 15 of his 19 passes. Overall, it was a solid game that showed fans that Newton still has it and can still get wins in the NFL. At one point in the match, Newton was involved in a bit of a scrum, where a Dolphins player reached at his neck. As you can see in the clip below, Newton's teammates came into break it up, and both teams went on their way. Following the game, Newton spoke about the incident noting that the Dolphins player tried to snatch his chain, which is the ultimate form of disrespect. "I still got my chain," Newton said. "I got two of 'em. So you could see. It was disrespect, they was reaching for my chain, though. I think that kind of got under my skin. But yeah, through it all, man ... listen -- I do not want nothing to be taken away from a great team game that we did have. And I don't want to be selfish to kind of focus or dwell on that." Regardless of this incident, the Patriots are 1-0, which is all that really matters after week 1. Maddie Meyer/Getty Images View the full article

  4. William Rondo, brother of Los Angeles Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo, was ejected from the team's Game 5 victory over the Houston Rockets after an incident with Rockets guard Russell Westbrook. Michael Reaves / Getty Images With 7:42 remaining in the fourth quarter, William Rondo was escorted out by security after Westbrook approached him during LeBron James' free throw attempts. Westbrook could be heard asking Rondo what he yelled at him. "People at the game, you're supposed to shut your mouth and watch the game. That's the rules, especially when you have families and people here," Westbrook said. "Apparently, I guess because [Rajon] Rondo was talking shit, [William] decided he wanted to hop in, too. "But it's OK. I mean, it's all good, I get it. He wanted to take up for his brother. ... But those rules stand for everybody though, no matter who it is, family, whatever." Rajon Rondo says his brother called Westbrook "trash" in the fourth quarter: "He didn't do anything crazy," Rajon Rondo said. "He called the man 'trash.' Fans do what fans do. He's my brother first. He didn't do anything disrespectful." With Saturday's Game 5 loss, the Rockets were eliminated from the playoffs and the Lakers are moving on to the Western Conference Finals. 5. Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo met with ownership to discuss his future with the organization, Saturday, according to Yahoo Sports. Kevin C. Cox / Getty Images The Bucks' superstar spoke privately with co-owner Marc Lasry. The meeting follows a tumultuous day on social media for Bucks fans, as Antetokounmpo unfollowed the Bucks’ team account and his teammates’ accounts. Publically, Antetokounmpo has denied any desire to leave Milwaukee. “It’s not happening. That’s not happening,” Antetokounmpo said after the Bucks were eliminated from the Playoffs. “Some see a wall and go in [another direction]. I plow through it. We just have to get better as a team, individually, and get right back at it next season." “If winning a championship was easy, everyone would have one,” Antetokounmpo told Yahoo Sports. “We lost. Everyone saw that we lost. It’s disappointing, but what are we going to do? We’re going to keep working. I’ve got confidence in my teammates.” The Bucks were defeated in a disappointing five-game series against the Miami Heat. Antetokounmpo, 25, won the league's MVP award in 2019 and the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2020. Following the last year on his contract, he will be eligible for a super-max extension, expected to be worth $254 million over five years. [Via] View the full article
  6. The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke says he’s disappointed that many fans are review-bombing the show’s second season, as a response to the series’ weekly release format. Frazer Harrison / Getty Images “I get that people are disappointed and, frankly, looking back, we thought that we were communicating that we were weekly,” Kripke told TheWrap Wednesday. “Clearly, in hindsight, we had to do a lot more than we did to make sure that people weren’t surprised and disappointed. I would have done that differently. I mean, again, we announced it. But we should have neon-signed it on everything, clearly.” The show is releasing in a traditional format, with one new episode dropping every week. Fans expected the show to be released on streaming services all at once: “OKAY SERIOUSLY!!!… NO FULL SEASON AVAILABLE?!?!?!?!?!?! I give up, where is my Netflix!” one person complained in a negative review. The show has a 2.7 rating, out of 5, from customers on Prime Video. Conversely, the show has a 98% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. “So I get that people are disappointed, but I think one thing they need to understand is, this is not like a corporate, Amazon money grab — this was from the producers. We wanted this. It was a creative choice. So they may like it or not like it, but they have to at least respect that the people who are making the show wanted it to be released this way because we wanted to have time to sort of slow down a little bit and have conversations about everything. So they at least have to appreciate that it was a creative choice.” The Boys is streaming now on Amazon Prime. [Via] View the full article
  7. Naomi Osaka won the US Open, Saturday, and used her platform to raise awareness for social justice, as she's done throughout the tournament. She defeated Victoria Azarenka in 3-sets to secure her second US Open title. Al Bello/Getty Images After winning, Osaka was asked about the masks she's been seen wearing during the tournament, which display the names of victims of police brutality and racially motivated violence. "The point," Osaka said, "is to make people start talking." Her masks have included the names of Breonna Taylor, Elijah McClain, Ahmaud Arbery, Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, Philando Castile, and Tamir Rice. "I'm done being shy. It's really a waste of my time," she tweeted in May. "I could've shared so many ideas by now, I could've had convos with so many different people." Osaka has been a prominent voice in raising awareness for social justice in the tennis world. Following the Jacob Blake shooting, Osaka joined athletes across sports in protesting competition. Rapper Cordae, who is dating Osaka, was in attendance for her victory, rocking a black "Defund The Police" t-shirt. The couple began dating in early 2019. Cordae was reportedly very active in attendance, pumping his fists throughout the match. [Via] View the full article
  8. Dear White People star Jeremy Tardy is not returning the Netflix show's fourth and final season. He says he has been the victim of racial discrimination during contract negotiations with Lionsgate. Vivien Killilea / Getty Images "Unfortunately I will not be joining NETFLIX’s Dear White People for its fourth and final season due to my experience with Lionsgate and their practices of racial discrimination," Tardy announced with a thread on Twitter. "After being offered to return for several episodes my team was notified that our counter offer would not be considered and that the initial offer was the 'best and final'. This news was disturbing because one of my white colleagues — being a true ally — revealed that they too had received the same initial offer and had successfully negotiated a counter offer." Tardy adds that he and six other cast members attempted to work together to strike for more equitable wages, but were undermined by side deals offered by Lionsgate. "The fact that this has occurred behind the scenes of a show which purports to address systemic issues of racism and discrimination displays the very epitome of hypocrisy. Lionsgate. Netflix. I see you. We see you," Tardy concluded on Twitter. Check out the thread at the link below. [Via] View the full article
  9. Chris Hemsworth says he has no plans to retire from the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Thor: Love and Thunder. Hemsworth discussed his role as Thor in a new interview with the Polish magazine Elle Man. Brook Mitchell / Getty Images “Are you crazy?! I’m not going into any retirement period. Thor is far too young for that. He’s only 1,500 years old,” he said. “It’s definitely not a film that I say goodbye to this brand. At least I hope so.” Hemsworth continued to discuss the upcoming film, saying it's even more fun than Marvel's last Thor hit, Thor: Ragnarok: “After reading the script, I can say that I am very excited. In this production, there will for sure be a lot of love and a lot of lightning,” he said. “I’m glad that after all that happened in ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ I’m still part of the Marvel Universe and we can continue the story of Thor. Of course, I can’t reveal anything about the plot. But to satisfy your curiosity, I will say that reading the script, I had a lot more fun than on ‘Thor Ragnarok,’ and that shows something because that movie was brilliant.” Thor: Love and Thunder is expected to hit theaters on Feb. 11, 2022. 10. Glee star Naya Rivera called out for help before she drowned, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner's investigative report. Ilya S. Savenok / Getty Images "She helped him onto the boat and then he then heard [Naya] yell 'help' and she put her arm in the air. She then disappeared into the water," the investigative report states. The report continues to say that, while Rivera was in good health, she did suffer from vertigo, which "would get worse when she was in the water." The report states, "The decedent would have vertigo to the point of vomiting, but she learned to control the symptoms with antihistamines." The autopsy report confirms that Rivera was "considered to be a good swimmer." Rivera died on July 8, 2020 at Lake Piru, in California, while swimming with her son. "He and Naya swam in the lake together," Sheriff Bill Ayub said of Rivera and her son at a news conference following the actress' death. "It was during that time that her son described being helped onto the boat by Naya. ... He told investigators he looked back and saw her disappear under the surface of the water." "We believe that she mustered enough energy to get her son back on the boat, but not enough to save herself," Ayub said at the time. [Via] View the full article
  11. Jameela Jamil says surviving suicide is "the most extraordinary gift," in an Instagram post in honor of World Suicide Prevention Day. Erik Voake / Getty Images “Surviving suicide has been the most extraordinary gift to me in being able to still be here and remind the people I love that sometimes it’s just a particularly overwhelming hour, day, week or month. And that it can and normally will pass, and that with even small incremental changes and reaching out to even just one person for help, life really can get better. Please hang on,” she says in the post. Jamil spoke about her suicide attempt in a post, last year, saying "This month, six years ago, I tried to take my own life. I’m so lucky that I survived, and went on to use EMDR to treat my severe PTSD.” “Glad I stuck around in the end. Got to meet my two Favourite lads. #suicidepreventionday," she wrote in another picture of her and boyfriend James Blake. "I have everything I need." Jamil has been in a relationship with Blake since 2015. Despite their love, Jamil says meeting Blake is not the only reason she is happy to be around: "Do not live for another. Live for who you’re going to become and for the fun people you may meet along the way." Jamil recently starred as Tahani Al-Jamil in NBC's critically acclaimed sitcom, The Good Place. 12. Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam says a lot of the blame for the team's second-round playoff exit is on his shoulders. Michael Reaves / Getty Images "Obviously, I have to be better," Siakam said after the Raptors' Game 7 loss to the Boston Celtics. "It was definitely a learning moment for me just learning from this experience and just learning that you've gotta be ready and I wasn't able to help my teammates. I take a lot of the blame, man." Siakam, who was selected to the Eastern Conference All-Star team this season, averaged just 14.9 points on shooting to 38.2% during the Raptors' seven-game series against the Celtics. "I'm proud of him and I love him," Raptors guard Fred VanVleet said of his teammate. "He's my brother. I'll go to war with him any day, and I know that he didn't play up to his standard and he didn't play the way that he'd like to, but I loved his effort and his intensity, and he never pointed fingers, he never was a bad teammate. "He just kept trying and it didn't work out for him. It's part of the journey. Everyone has ups and downs, and unfortunately his came at this time. It happens. It happens to everyone." 13. Gabrielle Union says a sequel to Bring It On is "absolutely" happening, during a new interview with James Corden. Frazer Harrison / Getty Images Corden asks Union if she has spoken with Kirsten Dunst regarding another film, to which Union responds, “We have. We actually did a public panel a couple of weeks ago and they asked about it, and we all were like, ‘We’re in. We’re absolutely in.'” “Is that something that genuinely you think is going to happen?" Corden responded. “It’s absolutely going to happen," Union continued. "I think its because we all got obsessed with Cheer on Netflix and it kind of like brought back the whole love of cheerleading, and we kinda want to see where these people would be 20 years later.” The iconic 2000s cheerleading film stars Union, Dunst, and Jesse Bradford and was released on Aug. 25, 2000. The film has released a handful of spin-off films, but none has starred the original cast, as this upcoming sequel will. Cheer is a documentary on Netflix which follows a cheerleading team in Texas. No further details were given regarding the potential Bring It On sequel. Union is currently starring in the Spectrum show “L.A.’s Finest,” a spinoff of the Bad Boys franchise. 15. The matter of a lawsuit dispute between two ex-lovers can get very complicated, especially if one party happens to die unexpectedly and the other side still seeks to send legal sanctions their way. Sadly, that's the case for famed boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his deceased ex-girlfriend Josie Harris. Image: Tom Pennington/Getty Images Harris sadly passed away earlier this year on March 10, 2020 due to an accidental drug overdose. At the time of her death, she was still wrapped up in an legal war with Mayweather over a lawsuit that totaled a whopping $20 million. Their trial was supposed to begin on December 7, 2020, but due to Harris' death and nobody put in place of her estate, the suit was put on hold. However, neither her death nor the fact that their trial was put on hold was enough to stop Floyd from filing a $9,060 sanction against Harris and her lawyer for failing to answer questions regarding how drug use played a part in the case. It all stems back to 2010, when Mayweather and Harris got into a violent altercation that both sides have reported differently. Floyd later went on to describe the situation in a now-infamous 2015 Katie Couric interview, where he claimed his ex-girlfriend was on drugs and all he did was restrain her. This prompted Josie to sue him back in 2015 for lying to the public about how things went down. In response to Floyd's sanction, Josie's lawyer call his motion "malicious and inappropriate," further adding, "Plaintiff Josie Harris died on March 10, 2020. Aware of this fact, knowing that the status of Harris’s estate was unresolved, and in light of the obvious—that Harris could provide no further responses to any discovery requests—Defendant Mayweather still chose to file this (inappropriately consolidated) motion." Unfortunately, none of her three kids want to pursue the lawsuit on her behalf, with her lawyers also stating, "Each of Harris’s presumed heirs to her estate (i.e. her three children) have informed counsel for Harris that they do not wish to pursue this action against Mayweather on behalf of Harris’s estate should they be appointed as estate representative." Her team is requesting that the court deny Floyd’s motion for sanctions. In an unfortunate situation like this, is there any real right way to go about legal proceedings? Let us know your thoughts down below in the comments. [via] View the full article
  16. Hell hath no fury like a diva scorned, especially when said diva happens to be the Mariah Carey. The record-breaking chanteuse has been wrapped up in a legal battle with her ex-assistant for a while now, and a judge has recently sanctioned MC's former employee for destroying evidence in the ongoing case. Image: Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images Page Six reports that Lianna "Azarian" Shakhnazarian, former assistant to the Caution singer, has been penalized by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Andrew Borrok by request of Carey after it was found that Azarian did in fact destroy videos and WhatsApp messages important to the case. For those that need a quick update, Mariah claims that Lianna secretly recorded her doing intimate-yet-embarrassing things and then proceeded to blackmail Carey if she didn’t receive $8 million in hush money. In addition to penalization for those destroyed messages, the judge also ruled that Azarian purposefully caused water damage to her old phone in order to get rid of even more evidence that Mariah could've used in her favor. Here's a breakdown of the judge's decision he made on Friday, via Page Six: "Trading in her cellphone without taking any measures to save the videos, messages, and other data after this lawsuit was filed, when Ms. Shakhnazarian had an undeniable duty to preserve evidence, was grossly negligent, if not intentional," Borrok wrote in his decision from Friday. Shakhnazarian’s “actions constituted spoliation of critical evidence and severely prejudiced Ms. Carey’s ability to prosecute her case,” the decision reads. Borrok said that he will make an “inverse inference” against Shakhnazarian at trial. The judge ordered Azarian to not only turn over her current cell phone for a forensic examination but also to pay Mariah's attorneys fees. We wonder if this situation will end up in another future Mariah Carey chart-topper. View the full article
  17. 50 Cent received some good news earlier this summer when it was revealed that his new ABC series For Life would be renewed for a second season. However, it now looks like we may have to wait a little longer for the show to commence now that production has been delayed due to — you guessed it! — coronavirus. Image: Steven Ferdman/Getty Images TMZ broke the news via a source from Sony Pictures, the studio behind Fiddy's hit series that he serves as both an actor and executive producer on. The reps claim that following "some inconsistent test results, and out of an abundance of caution," the entire crew on For Life has ceased production. It's still being determined whether or not it was a case of actual positive cases or false positive cases that sparked the sudden decision, but as of now it seems like we'll have to wait even longer to see how things play out for the homie Aaron Wallace. Based off reports, 50 has not been on set since they resumed production in Queens, NY prior to this most recent shutdown. Let's hope things work out sooner rather than later for the cast and crew of For Life. Peep the trailer below in case you need some convincing to catch up on the series: View the full article
  18. As he prepares to suit up for the first time as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers player when the new NFL season kicks off this weekend, Tom Brady is sure to have all eyes on him. However, we doubt he was expecting people to also have their eyes on his sex life with wife Gisele Bündchen — thankfully, we have people like Armchair Expert host Dax Shepard to give us answers to the stuff we really want to know. Image: Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images While chopping it up with Brady on the podcast, Dax decided to channel his inner Howard Stern by asking the six-time Super Bowl champion this question: "do you make love to your wife on a game day or is that off the table?" Luckily, it seemed that Tom caught the humor in his question and decided to answer honestly by stating that it's "probably off the table." He went on to say, "I wouldn’t say it’s probably never happened but I don’t think that would be the moment," further adding, "That wouldn’t be my pre-game warmup." Even though "game-day sex" isn't on the menu for Tom Brady, we're sure being married to one of the biggest supermodels in the world comes with those benefits any other time. 19. MTV struck gold in the early 2000s with the network's hit celebrity home invasion series Cribs. Although the show made a recent comeback of sorts via Snapchat Discover, it was actually Architectural Digest that reworked the home tour formula properly with its own series titled Open Door. Many prominent figures have showed off the inside of their homes on the show in past episodes, and the latest to do it is Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen. Ironically, balling is an understatement for how this dude is living. Image: Phillip Faraone/Getty Images for Haute Living In Pippen's episode of Open Door, viewers are treated to a handful of luxuries, including an insane pool with built-in hot tub and water slide, "fun rooms" for all sorts of guest entertainment and of course a super decked-out indoor basketball court. Funny enough, all these amenities are simply seasonal for the six-time NBA champion — he now spends most of his time in Los Angeles and utilizes his Chi-Town crib as a summer getaway. Must be nice! Take a closer look into Scottie Pippen's eye-grabbing Chicago mansion, plus hear him tell a quick story about golfing with fellow Bulls icon Michael Jordan, via Architectural Digest's latest episode of Open Door below: View the full article
  20. Doctor Anthony Fauci, public health advisor to every presidential administration since that of Ronald Raegan, has shared a grim forecast for the time it will take for Americans to be able to safely return to their pre-Coronavirus lifestyles. Fauci, who currently heads the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has been a sizable figure in scientific contributions toward the understanding of HIV/AIDS, MERS, the swine flu, and Ebola. The Cornell graduate and nonpartisan advisor stated in an interview with MSNBC that he remains confident that a COVID-19 vaccine will become available in either late 2020 or early 2021. "By the time you mobilize the distribution of the vaccine and get a majority or more of the population vaccinated and protected, that’s likely not going to happen until the end of 2021," Fauci stated. "If you’re talking about getting back to a degree of normality prior to COVID, it’s going to be well into 2021, towards the end of 2021." Supply of a potential vaccine would have to be fervently dispersed at a rate comparable to the spread of the virus, which 40,000 Americans are confirmed to have been diagnosed with and 1,000 Americans are confirmed to have died from each day. Furthermore, Fauci issued no assurance that the recently-halted AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine trial will resume, or that it shows particular promise. He once more took the opportunity to reiterate that a lack of surefire treatment and official medical prevention for Coronavirus only emphasizes the importance of halting community spread by people remaining socially distanced from one another and wearing masks while in public. 21. Logic gave fans a tearful goodbye back in July while streaming No Pressure, his self-proclaimed final album as he officially enters retirement from rap. However, it seems like producing wasn't included in the send-off now that he's just delivered a short-yet-sweet beat tape titled TwitchTape Vol. 1. Image: Brian Ach/Getty Images for Universal Music Group As the album title suggests, Logic produced this batch of instrumentals entirely via the popular live streaming platform Twitch. Clocking in at just under nine-and-a-half minutes long, TwitchTape Vol. 1 is filled with classic '70s and '80s soul samples from the golden era of R&B. Logic's reworking of Roy Ayers' "Everybody Loves the Sunshine" on the first track is immediately noticeable, and it just keeps getting better from there. Whether you're a freestyle king that's been looking for some new fire to spit over, or you just can vibe out easily to instrumentals, this tape is definitely worth a few spins. 22. Bridgeport, Connecticut was in for a shock when its citizens learned of the sudden resignation of Police Chief, Armando Perez. It would come to light that Perez’s decision was not merely an unorthodox career move, but came on the heels of being charged by federal prosecutors with wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and two counts of lying to federal investigators. These charges stem from federal prosecutors’ belief that Perez collaborated with Bridgeport Personnel Director, David Dunn, to cheat a 2018 police chief exam in Perez’s favor. Dunn (who has been charged with the same crimes as Perez, minus one count of lying to federal investigators) is accused of sharing test questions with Perez in advance of the test and commissioned two employees beneath him to pen exam essays on Perez’s behalf. Excelling in the exam resulted in Perez acquiring a five-year work contract, which granted him $300,000 for accrued leave alone. United States Attorney, Audrey Strauss said of the case, “As alleged, Chief Perez and Personnel Director Dunn schemed to rig the purportedly impartial and objective search for a permanent police chief to ensure the position was awarded to Perez, and then repeatedly lied to federal agents in order to conceal their conduct.” She continued, “Bridgeport’s citizens and police officers deserve leaders with integrity who are committed to enforcing, not breaking, the law, and we thank the FBI for their partnership in investigating and uncovering the scheme alleged.” Bridgeport mayor, Joe Ganim announced via twitter on Thursday afternoon that Dunn and Perez had turned themselves in to authorities, with former assistant Chief Rebecca Garcia serving as Acting Police Chief for the time being. 23. Tamar Braxton’s new docuseries, Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life! finally premiered last Thursday on WE tv. In the episode, Braxton and fiancé David Adefeso butt heads over a “sex abstinence” experiment Braxton wishes to undergo for 45 days. Abstaining from sex, drugs, and alcohol for 45 days is the prerequisite for being able to partake in “dream work,” a method in which creative coach Goli Samii would analyze Braxton’s dreams in order to aid her in reaching her full potential. The six-episode series follows Tamar Braxton as she navigates through obstacles in her personal life and career, documenting the highs and lows of each, as well as the process of recording her upcoming album. While Braxton was reluctant about the parameters of the experiment but eventually agreed to them, Adefeso remained downright opposed to the whole thing, calling it a “terrible” idea and saying in a confessional, “Tamar is interested in doing the dream work, but I'm a hardcore, born-again, Jesus-believing Christian. I really don't know about who Goli is or how she does what she does. I'm not so sure that her methods are something that fit my own beliefs.” Claiming autonomy over her own body, Braxton proceeded with the experiment anyways, the results of which are documented over the course of the series. However, it became apparent that problems between the pair are more serious than mere tiffs over abstinence when Adefeso filed a restraining order against Braxton earlier this week, followed by Braxton coming forward to declare she had been abused by Adefeso, and even threatened with a murder-suicide. As far as the show goes, it is expected to continue airing as regular on Thursdays at 9 P.M ET on WE tv. [via] View the full article
  24. Last month we gave you all a look at Payday Records' latest signee Radamiz via his impressive single "GRATITUDE IS GANGSTA," and now his full album SYNONYMS OF STRENGTH is here. Thankfully, the Brooklyn-bred emcee didn't disappoint in the least bit. Image: Noam Galai/WireImage/Getty Payday has a history of putting on the greats from BK, as we saw two decades ago when a rapper by the name of Jay-Z released his debut single on the label back in 1994 with "In My Lifetime." Whether Radamiz will carry on Hov's legacy for Payday will only be told in time, but the odds are definitely in his favor based off a first listen of SYNONYMS OF STRENGTH. Whether he's dropping bilingual bars on "Bendiciones" or trading bars with equally talented Brooklyn rapper-on-the-rise KOTA the Friend on "Goya," Rad finds a way to deliver lyricism that's fresh, unique and very obvious that he's got a way with words. The project is a bit short, clocking in at 23 minutes long and spanning just seven songs, but the offering is enough to leave you checking out his old stuff and anticipating future heat.
