  1. It's unclear what career awaits former Seattle Seahawks player Chad Wheeler, but his alleged victim is speaking for the first time about the reported domestic violence incident that almost left her dead. Weeks ago, the shocking news about Wheeler's arrest commanded attention after it stormed headlines. The 27-year-old football star was reportedly arrested and charged with first-degree domestic violence assault, domestic violence unlawful imprisonment, and resisting arrest following an altercation involving Taylor. It's reported that not only was she left battered and bleeding, but Wheeler allegedly choked her until she passed out and when she regained consciousness, he marveled that she was still alive. "Events happened over the weekend that transpired from a manic episode," Wheeler previously said in a statement. "I am deeply sorry for the pain and suffering that I have caused to Alleah and her family. I apologize profusely for the turmoil that I have caused to my family, teammates, fans and those closest to me. The most important thing right now is that Alleah gets the care she needs and I get help." On Tuesday (February 9), a clip from Taylor's upcoming interview with CBS The Morning surfaced where she details a portion of her alleged ordeal. “I remember getting up and running to the bathroom," she said. "Chad was standing by the bed, by the doorway, and he was sipping his smoothie and he was like, ‘Wow, you’re still alive.'... I’m grateful he didn’t grab me in that moment.” Taylor added that she made her way to the bathroom and texted Wheeler's father. “(I) told him that Chad was trying to kill me,” said Taylor, who wore a sling over her left shoulder. “Chad’s dad called him … and (Wheeler) answered. And he didn’t have a worry at all. Chad was like, ‘I’m just eating dinner. Nothing’s going on.’ That terrified me.” Watch the clip below. 2. As if we needed another reason for social media to explode with opinions, Mark Cuban has shaken the table. There have been several dialogues about America's national anthem in recent years, especially since Colin Kaepernick began kneeling during the anthem before NFL games prior to being edged out of the NFL. The silent protest was something that was widely rejected by sports fans and executives alike, but Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has reportedly consulted with NBA commissioner Adam Silver about no longer playing the anthem prior to Dallas Mavericks games. Thearon W. Henderson / Stringer / Getty ImagesAccording to ESPN, there hadn't been a formal announcement about the anthem's removal, however, it hasn't made an appearance "before any of their 13 preseason and regular-season games at the American Airlines Center this season." That seems strange to the public because no one from any other teams, including staff, has publicly spoken about the rule change. Throughout 2020, professional sports players were seen wearing Black Lives Matter attire or kneeling during the anthem as they stood accused of disrespecting the flag and veterans while being called anti-American. All of the allegations have been repeatedly debunked over the years, and it seems that Cuban has curbed the controversy by removing the song altogether. Mike Ehrmann / Staff / Getty ImagesThere reportedly is a rule in the NBA playbook about player's standing for the national anthem, but Silver hasn't enforced it because he previously stated he knows that it is a sensitive subject. Cuban has said in prior interviews that he would be "proud of" his team for taking a knee or showing a sign of protest because he believes the NBA should "allow players to do what's in their heart." 3. She's received tens of thousands of dollars in donations on her GoFundMe account, has become a "blue check" verified personality on social media, and has gained international attention—all because she mistakenly used Gorilla Glue in her hair. For days, all anyone has been able to hear about on social media is the "Gorilla Glue Lady" who emerged on TikTok with the shocking revelation that her slicked-down hairstyle hadn't moved in a month. After going viral, she received tips, offers for help, money, and even famous celebrity hairstylists offering to do her hair for free. The initial supportive hype surrounding the viral sensation shifted after it was shared that Brown may have plans to sue Gorilla Glue for not including a warning that their product can't be used on hair. The warning label specifies clothing, skin, and the like, but lawyers have taken to social media to argue that because "hair" wasn't listed, Brown may have a case. Tessica Brown now faces accusations that this entire ordeal was just a money grab or an opportunity to gain a little fame, but in an interview with TMZ, she claims she would never do anything like this as a stunt. "I was just over the talk shows and the hate groups," she said. "I'm over all of that because y'all really—they don't know me." "And they got some people out there saying, 'Oh, well she did this for clout. Put this on my head, let's see how many followers I get.' Never," Brown continued. "I put it on social media to get help. That was it. I didn't think for one second I'mma get up the next morning and that many people have looked at this. I didn't think for one second that this was gone be like, me talkin' to y'all right now." Brown added that she's been trying different remedies by they have all been painful. She also said that once she read up on how the Gorilla Glue would affect her hair, she decided to launch the GoFundMe to help her raise money for wigs. 4. The effects of FKA Twigs coming forward with allegations against her ex-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf is having real consequences for the actor. It was back in December when the world was rocked by the news that the singer was suing the celebrated actor and alleging that he abused and sexually assaulted her. She even said that he gave her an STD, and after the news went viral, LaBeouf came forward to admit that he'd had a problem with alcohol and hadn't been his best self. Emma McIntyre / Staff / Getty Images“I have a history of hurting the people closest to me," said the actor months ago. “I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.” It's now being shared that LaBeouf and his A-list talent agency CAA have decided to part ways. Variety reports that Shia has been seeking help at an inpatient care facility following not only FKA Twigs's allegations, but multiple women, including Sia. The outlet states that CAA hasn't fired him or permanently ended their working relationship, but they do report that LaBeouf is taking "a break from acting" as his primary focus at this time is his recovery. It wasn't made clear what type of facility LaBeouf is in, how long he will be there, or what treatment he is receiving. He was recently cut from the Netflix Awards and as his fans rally behind him, it's expected that there will be more fallout from the scandal as Twigs's lawsuit looms. 5. She's been trying to get her child support payments to ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry reduced for some time, but Halle Berry seems stuck in her current predicament. Halle and her model ex reportedly broke up back in 2010 when their 12-year-old daughter was just a tot. Soon, Halle found love once again with French actor Olivier Martinez and they would later have a son, but Olivier and Gabriel's relationship was far from amicable. In 2012, the two men were engaged in a physical altercation and according to reports, Aubry claims he hasn't been able to book jobs because of it. Halle has reportedly been ordered to pay Gabriel $16K per month in child support for their daughter, and the actress has been doing her best to get that number reduced. John Shearer / Staff / Getty ImagesOn Tuesday (February 9), Halle expressed her frustration with the system in a lengthy comment she shared to Instagram. Years ago, there were reports that Aubry called the actress a "ghetto n-word," and an IG user mentioned the rumor on one of her posts, adding that she has to pay him. "And it takes great strength to pay it," said the actress. "And BTW it's wrong and it's extortion !" Halle clarified that she doesn't pay him any alimony, but she does fork over child support. "I've been paying it for over a decade now," wrote the actress. "I feel if a woman or man is having to pay support that is way more than the reasonable needs to help SUPPORT the child, i think that is wrong !" She added that she can understand if a parent needs help, but in today's society, Halle believes parents should do what it takes to financially provide for their children. Peter Kramer / Staff / Getty Images"The way many laws are set up people are allowed to USE children in order to be awarded money to live a lifestyle that not only they did not earn, but that is way above and beyond the child's reasonable needs, and that is 'THE WRONG' and where i see the abuse," she said. "The laws are outdated and no longer reflect the modern world." She called it her truth and added that she feels taken advantage of by the system. "I'm living it everyday and i can tell you it's hard." Check out her post in full below. [via][via] http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/M3ZrL_aflRgView the full article
  6. It's nice to have friends who like to make you feel special, and Lil Yachty has proven that he's a pal through and through. The Quality Control Music rapper is being praised for his good deed after a video went viral showing him gifting Kodak Black with a few stacks of cash. Kodak has been enjoying every minute of freedom since receiving a presidential pardon from Donald Trump, and within his first weeks out of prison, Kodak has already made club appearances and offered to pay the college tuition for the children of two murdered FBI agents. In the viral clip, Yachty seems to be the person behind the camera, and he, Kodak, and a few others are standing around a vehicle, hanging out. "I got something for you," said Yachty as he handed Kodak stacks of $100s. The Florida rapper replied with a smile on his face, "I appreciate it." Kodak quickly tucked that money—$50K—away and began modeling a shade of sunglasses. Fans can expect to hear much more from Kodak Black in the weeks to come as the rapper has already released "Last Day In" and "Every Balmain." We're sure he has more than enough material to work with. 7. A Hulu docuseries has kicked up dust in the pop culture circuit as the world has rallied behind Britney Spears. On the streaming service, The New York Times has a series with a different controversial topic for each episode, and on the sixth, the famed outlet tackled the conservatorship of Britney Spears. They highlighted the triumphs and pitfalls of the pop singer's professional and personal career, including the adverse mental effects of paparazzi and celebrity culture. Alberto E. Rodriguez / Staff / Getty ImagesThey painted Britney to be a young girl thrust into a whirlwind of a career where her father, Jamie Spears, was absent for the bulk of her youth as she toured and made appearances. However, following her meltdown that culminated in her shaving her head in a highly publicized display, her dad would control her day to day life. Since 2008, Britney and her businesses have been under the strict control of her father, and although she has petitioned the court asking for him to be removed and another entity or person set in place, she has been denied. The #FreeBritney movement has picked up steam following the NYT docuseries, and dozens of celebrities have vocalized their support for their fellow star. Spears's father, who reportedly makes upwards of $130K a year from being his daughter's conservator, not including the reported percentages for other earnings, doesn't say much publicly when it comes to his legal ties to the singer. However, Britney's boyfriend, Sam Asghari, has come forward to call out Britney's father for "trying to control" his relationship. Frazer Harrison / Staff / Getty Images"Not it's important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way," wrote Asghari. "In my opinion Jamie is a total d*ck. I won't be going into details because I've always respected privacy but at the same time I didn't come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom." It's reported that Britney has refused to perform under her father's rule. Check out Sam's post and a few reactions to Framing Britney Spears below. 8. R&B duo Lion Babe, consisting of Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman, have been keeping fans waiting for a new project since the release of their 2019 album, Cosmic Wind. Thankfully, they didn't abandon fans during the pandemic. If we weren't getting an original cut from them, they've offered some incredible covers of some of their favorite songs. A few months back, they slid through with a cover of Mos Def's "Umi Says" with a portion of the proceeds going towards NAACP Defense Legal Fund. This week, they shared a brand new cover of Odyssey's classic record, "Native New Yorker." Goodman cooks up an uplifting vibe with the production, paying homage to the original with a refreshing twist for Hervey's uber-soulful vocals. Check the track out below. 10. They've been laying on the love pretty thick on social media, causing their admirers to turn an envious shade of green. The romance between Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey has been unfolding for their fans in real-time as the couple shares intimate moments with the world via social media. They've frolicked in the snow, enjoyed the waves of the ocean, and were spotted jet-setting during the holiday season last year. As critics accuse the couple of faking their romance and only being together as some sort of business deal, the pair are doubling down on their love for one another. Today (February 9), Jordan is celebrating his 34th year around the sun and his 24-year-old girlfriend wanted to give him a special shout out on Instagram. Lori posted a few photos of herself getting close to her man and she included a loving caption to seal the moment. "Happyyy Birthdayyy Nugget [cake emoji] I love you baby...hope today has been at least half as special as you are." Fans were surprised that the "I love yous" are already being said, but to be fair, no one knows just how long they've been together. 11. We entered 2021 with a hell of a scare surrounding Dr. Dre's health. Thankfully, he's doing well but in the midst of that, his marital troubles continued to bleed into the public eye. His divorce from Nicole Young has made headlines since it was announced that they've split. Things have gotten ugly with Nicole accusing the famed producer of assault and infidelity. Jamie McCarthy/Getty ImagesAccording to TMZ, Nicole Young recently filed documents to the court requesting that three women she alleges Dre had affairs with during their marriage sit down for a deposition. Young is reportedly trying to find out whether the producer funded their lifestyles with money and gifts. Their prenup is still at the center of this battle. Nicole said in her documents that the lawyer for the alleged mistress has attempted to push back the deposition until there's a ruling on the validity of the prenup. However, Young needs the deposition done soon because she says it could affect the outcome of spousal support as well as the validity of the prenup. Nicole brought up a $2.15M home purchased by one of the alleged mistresses. Nicole said that she wants to find out whether it was Dre that provided the cash to make such an extravagant purchase. Ultimately, Dr. Dre has the money. He just cut a $2M check to Nicole for temporary support which is on top of the nearly $300K he's shelling out monthly. However, the depositions could ultimately play a factor if the judge decides that the prenup isn't valid. Then, Nicole would be able to demand her half of the property. 13. Like many proud mothers, all Kim Kardashian West wanted to do was show off her child's accomplishment. Yet, when you're apart of one of the most famous family's in the world, it's almost impossible to make any moves without facing criticism from the public. Yesterday (February 8), Kim uploaded a photo of seven-year-old North West's latest painting—a piece of art that many people are liking to the stylings of the late-great Bob Ross. Yet, there were people who used the opportunity to accuse the media mogul of lying about her daughter's artistic abilities, and to say that Kim wasn't having it is an understatement. Instagram"DON'T PLAY WITH ME WHEN IT COMES TO MY CHILDREN!!!" the reality star wrote on her Instagram Story. People took to social media to say that North's art was eerily similar to Kim's best friend's child's work. "My daughter and her best friend have been taking a serious oil painting class where their talents and creativity are being encouraged and nurtured. North worked incredibly hard on her painting which took several weeks to complete." "As a proud mom, I wanted to share her work with everyone," she continued. "I'm seeing op-ed pieces in the media and social media from grown adults breaking down whether or not my child actually painted this! How dare you see children doing awesome things and then try to accuse them of NOT being awesome!?!?!" Kim told people to "stop embarrassing [themselves] with negativity" before emphasizing that North was, indeed, the artist behind the painting. Kim followed up her PSA with a series of photos where she addresses some of the critics online, including a media outlet and several social media users who stated Kim faked the painting on North's behalf. Protective Mama Bear Mode was activated, so check out a few of Kim's posts below. 14. Hopefully, we'll be able to head back to theatres at some point in 2021. Among the many industries that were heavily impacted by coronavirus was the film and television sector. But still, some of Hollywood's biggest films opened their budget up to take the proper measures to continue filming. Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images Fast & Furious 9 is expected to hit theatres this year and what better way than to tease the movie with a coveted spot during the Super Bowl. On Sunday, the latest trailer for Fast 9 hit, building anticipation for the latest installment in the action series. Of course, Cardi B will be starring in the film with her role recently revealed following the Super Bowl commercial. Cardi will take on the role of Leysa who has a connection to Vin Diesel's character Dom Toretto's past, per HipHopDX. Cardi B's upcoming role in Fast 9 was revealed back in October of 2019 when Vin Diesel shared a clip on IG with himself and the Bronx superstar. The rapper is getting deeper into the world of acting and television. This would mark her second major role in a Hollywood film following the release of 2019's Hustlers. Additionally, she currently hosts her own show on Facebook Watch, Cardi Tries. With the recent release of "Up" and a sophomore album on the way, Cardi B's looking to have yet another successful year. 15. Drake's sitting at the top of the list when it comes to anticipated releases of the year. However, he's gained a reputation of pushing it back. First, we were to expect it in the summer of 2020 before sharing an official trailer for the project in October revealing that we should expect at the top of 2021. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and Drake himself said that he's still working on it. Kevin Winter/Getty ImagesIn case anyone has doubted that he's been hard at work, he's offered a few selfies of himself in the studio wrapping up vocals for the project. He never when we could expect it but he did hint that it would arrive at some point this year. "I'm blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won't be dropping in January. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021," he said. As rumors continue to circulate about the project, Night Owl Sound relayed a message on behalf of the boy. "Anything CLB related will be posted by DRAKE himself. Until then hold a seat and wait on it," the message reads. In other words, the OVO Camp is requesting that people practice patience. Hopefully, the final outcome will be well worth the wait. 16. What was meant to be an inside look at the development of the music video to her recently released single "Up" has caused Cardi B to come forward with a message about self-acceptance. The New York rapper posted a video that gave a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at Cardi and Co. working on the choreography for her visual. However, that wasn't the central focus as the public began to tease Cardi about her looks, accusing her of too much botox and prompting her to let the world know that there isn't anything anyone can say that steal her joy. "Y'all take pictures, videos of me with no makeup while I'm in motion and be like, 'Oh, look at Cardi, she looks so weird without her makeup.' This me with no makeup," the barefaced rapper said in a video. "No filter. You could see all the little blemishes on my face. You could see my lips so chapped. I've been biting it all night. I just woke up 20 minutes ago, didn't even brush my hair. Like, I feel good." She said that whenever there is a woman who is confident in herself there are those who attempt to tear her down. "That don't work on me anymore," she added. "I wanna let y'all know that I feel comfortable in my skin. That I'm great, that I'm happy, my record's doing great, and just because you got so much hatred in your heart that when I do great y'all wanna put it down, you can't." "I'mma stay on top...with this face! With this natural face, makeup or not. A b*tch is doing good." 18. 50 Cent went from one of the highest-selling rappers of all time into one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the entertainment world. In recent times, he's made a transition into television and his success isn't a fluke. Power and its spinoffs, as well as For Life, have made it clear that he might have the Midas touch when it comes to television. That being said, Fif's feeling like a champion himself, something he feels he shares in common with Tom Brady. After all, Buccaneers QB is now a 7x Super Bowl Champion and 5x Super Bowl MVP. Fif took to the 'Gram where he shared a picture of himself donning a fistful of rings. "Tom Brady has more super bowl rings than all 32 NFL Teams. I’m on the same shit just watch the [TV]. Green light Gang," he captioned the post. The rapper's single, "Many Men" has served as a champion's anthem as well. In the song, the rapper discusses the amount of hate he feels from the jealousy of his peers. With so many naysayers, Tom Brady made it clear that "Many Men" is a song that he holds dearly to his heart. He shared a photo of himself at the Super Bowl with Fif's single playing. "The winners theme is still many men," Fif captioned the post. "Many Men" has received a few tributes in recent times. Of course, there's Pop Smoke's "Got It On Me" that interpolates the record as well as 21 Savage and Metro Boomin's track off of Savage Mode II that shares the same name as Fif's song. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/mT_20bnH_v8View the full article
  19. DaBaby had an amazing run in 2020 following the release of Blame It Baby and huge singles like "Rockstar" and "Oprah's Bank Account," and this year, he's already got the ball rolling with his latest single "Masterpiece" as well as an appearance in Megan Thee Stallion's "Cry Baby" music video. His love life, however, may be putting a damper on the Charlotte rapper's success. Johnny Nunez/Getty ImagesThis past Super Bowl weekend, DaBaby endured a highly publicized breakup with DaniLeigh after months of seeming inseparable. He appears to be bouncing back quickly after posting a suggesting TikTok from India Love on his Instagram, but even if he's not already feeling better after his breakup with DaniLeigh, this funny video featuring his daughter will surely brighten up his mood. Earlier today, MeMe, the mother of DaBaby's daughter, shared a cute video of their daughter rapping as her older brother supplies the beat with some old-fashioned beatboxing. The caption of the post reads, "They Gone Have To Sign Da Whole Family , F*** A N**** Mean Man," alluding to the skills that their daughter clearly possesses at such a young age. DaBaby is close with his daughter, so seeing her drop bars so effortlessly will surely be fun for the Charlotte rapper. 20. As we've seen over the past week through Tierra Whack's bar-oozing Instagram posts, freestyling isn't a lost art in Hip-Hop. Many emcees within the new generation of rappers don't shy away from the mic, and Audiomack has been working to shine a spotlight on those brave artists with the Bless the Booth freestyle series. Past entries in the series include Reason, Bay Swag, Abby Jasmine, Bizzy Banks, Payroll Giovanni, and the late King Von. Most of the freestyles featured in Audiomack's recurring segment are about one minute longer, giving artists just enough time to show what they're capable of as emcees. In the latest addition to their bubbling freestyle series, Florida rapper LBS Kee'vin steps up to bless the booth. Following the release of his Belair Baby 2 mixtape last December, LBS Kee'vin's "Bless The Booth Freestyle" finds the Florida rapper in his zone. Although his freestyle is actually much shorter than the one-minute runtime of the video would allude to, it still display's LBS Kee'vin's wit, flow, and overall lyrical ability. 21. Anticipation for the upcoming film Judas and the Black Messiah is at an all-time high. Starring Black Panther star Daniel Kaluuyah alongside Sorry to Bother You's LaKeith Stanfield, the movie is days away from its release, as it's set to hit theatres and the HBO Max streaming service this Friday. Judas and the Black Messiah explores the role of infamous FBI informant William O'Neal, who was tasked with infiltrating the Black Panther Party in Chicago, and the film features various historical figures, including Fred Hampton and J. Edgar Hoover. Earlier today, Masego gave fans a sneak peek at the movie's upcoming soundtrack, which features a stacked line-up of Hip-Hop and R&B talent. With artists such as Jay Z, Nipsey Hussle, Nas, Black Thought, A$AP Rocky, G Herbo, JID, Smino, Pooh Shiesty, Lil Durk, and more attached to the project, hype for the soundtrack has nearly reached that of the film itself. Even with such a great round-up of artists, however, some fans still expressed wishes that other artists could have made the soundtrack for Judas and the Black Messiah. One artist that many social media users noticed was missing from the album was Chicago rapper Noname, but according to her, that was completely intentional. In the tweet, Noname wrote, "what’s crazy is they asked. i was supposed to be on the song with saba and smi but after seeing the movie i decided to pass. While some fans were defintely shocked that they missed out on hearing a Noname, Smino, and Saba record, others quickly responded to Noname for further elaboration on her statement, specifically concerning the merits of Judas and the Black Messiah. Regarding the quality of the film, she said, "it was shot beautifully, the acting was amazing. but it’s a movie about an informant. fred is secondary and his radical communist politics are centered, at all." Noname's description of the movie is, in fact, accurate since LaKeith Stanfield's character plays a hugely significant role in Judas and the Black Messiah's story. According to her, she has no beef with the movie, regardless of her refusal to be apart of its soundtrack. Regarding the matter, she simply hopes that people look deeper into Fred Hampton's life and legacy after seeing it. 22. Christina Milian is joining the Step Up family. The singer has been cast as Collette Jones, replacing the late Naya Rivera who tragically drowned in July 2020 at age 33. Milian hopes to honor Naya, her family, friends, and fans with her reprising of the role. “I know I have massive shoes to fill. Naya was incredible,” she said in a statement. The Step Up series follows students and teachers at a performing arts school in Atlanta, similar to the Step Up film, released in 2006. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are executive producers of the show alongside Holly Sorenson. Ne-Yo, three-time Grammy-winning singer and actor, plays Sage Odom who is the founder of High Water Performing Arts School and Collette’s love interest. Ne-Yo released a statement expressing gratitude for the late Glee star, giving her flowers, while he also welcomed Christina to the project with open arms. He started, "There is no replacing Naya. Let’s get that straight. Her spirit lives on in our memories and every part of what this show is and will be." The singer continued, "Christina has big shoes to fill and she knows it, which speaks to her poise and respect as a person and an artist. I’m more than certain of her ability to bring an energy and light to this character that Naya’s fans, as well as the rest of the world, will love. I’m excited and can’t wait for the world to see this!" Amy Sussman/Getty ImagesRivera played Collette for two seasons on the Youtube Red version of the series, until it was canceled in August 2019. 23. At this rate, it feels like R. Kelly will never make it to trial. His New York trial was just delayed for the fourth time because of COVID-19 concerns. The disgraced singer is currently spending time in a Chicago jail as he awaits his trial, being denied bond as he has been determined a flight risk and a potential threat to witnesses. R. Kelly was previously scheduled to start his trial in April for racketeering. The charges allege that he was in charge of a criminal enterprise designed to recruit women for sexual misconduct. However, U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly said today during a status hearing that it's not "realistic" for the singer's trial to begin in the coming months. Nuccio DiNuzzo/Getty ImagesKelly's trial in New York has been rescheduled to August 9. That's a full month before his Chicago trial is set to begin, where he is being charged on multiple counts of sexual abuse. Recently, one of Kelly's associates pleaded guilty to attempting to bribe and coerce a witness in the case, allegedly offering one of the singer's victims hundreds of thousands of dollars to remain silent. "Me and another person offered Jane Doe money for her to not go forward with her complaint or testimony against Robert Kelly. I knew what I did was wrong," said Richard Arline Jr., the singer's alleged cousin. He faves up to 15 years in prison. 24. On the court, he's been playing some of the best ball of his life for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Off the court though, Malik Beasley seems to be a magnet for negative attention. Averaging over 20 points per game this season, Malik Beasley has seeming translated all of the headline attention he's been getting into a strong role with the T-Wolves. After spending the last four years of his career in Denver, Beasley is getting some serious run with his new team, which has paid off. His legal trouble has been publicized over the last year, and even the outcome of his case is a breath of fresh air for the Wolves, who will not be losing Beasley this season. According to The Athletic's Sham Charania, Beasley was sentenced on Tuesday to 120 days in the Hennepin County Workhouse with work release and home confinement option. The basketball star was arrested in October for drug possession and threats of violence. His sentence will be served at the end of this season. Once he completes his sentence, Beasley's threat of violence felony charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor. His drug possession charge will be dropped entirely. "We are very pleased with this outcome that will allow Malik to continue working on becoming a better person and making better choices," said Beasley's attorney Steve Haney. Michael Reaves/Getty ImagesMalik Beasley has been making all kinds of news because of his activity on and off the court, specifically for a cheating scandal after he was caught with his new girlfriend Larsa Pippen. Beasley is married to model Montana Yao, who was unaware that her husband was dating Larsa. We'll keep you posted on any developments in this case. 25. Lil Durk has been applying pressure for the past few months, releasing both The Voice and The Voice Deluxe in a back-to-black blitz. And while some would be content with the output the Chicago rapper has provided thus far, it would appear that Durk isn't ready nor willing to cease firing anytime soon. In fact, he's still sitting on an anticipated Metro Boomin collaboration album, No Auto Durk, which is likely set to arrive before the springtime rolls around. Paras Griffin/Getty ImagesIncreasing the expectation for an imminent release is Metro Boomin, who has recently taken to social media to stir up some hype -- albeit in the cryptic fashion many artists have adopted. "The sound and the voice," captions the super-producer, alongside a collection of behind-the-scenes studio pictures. Of course, fans are keen to hear some actual music from the anticipated project, though it seems as if Metro and Durk alike are playing this one close to the chest. Don't be surprised to see a concrete update shortly, as it's fair to say that Durk is in the midst of a truly meteoric rise -- a status that's sure to rise once he comes through and delivers No Auto Durk in full. After all, if there's anything the masses love, it's a project entirely produced by Metro Boomin. And one presumably free of any autotune, should the title be any indication. Either way, 2021 is looking to be a massive year for both Lil Durk and Metro alike-- be sure to show some love in the comments below. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/realhotnewhiphop/~4/-LZEG89r0jEView the full article
