  1. I wouldn't. I'd erase everything first and do a clean install of Windows XP. And once you do install Windows XP make sure to get some sort of Antivirus/Adware software, and maybe a software firewall to block all that crap out. You could try the new Windows XP SP2 RC2 that was released recently. Adds a lot of security features. And I'd also use Mozilla Firefox as a webbrowser instead of Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is the program that lets in all that adware most the time. Mozilla Firefox
  2. Well there's not much you can do then. You're either going to have to reinstall Windows 2000 on top of the current Windows 2000 (to fix the error) or completely format if you can't find the Windows 2000 CD (erase everything on your hard drives) and reinstall an operating system that you do have access to like Linux (Which is free) or some other CD you have laying around like Windows 98/ME.
  3. Well, there's always the restore point. You have that activated right? If you do just pop in the Windows CD and repair windows. It's prety simple.
  4. Still a great CD. Now I'm glad I downloaded it. Beastie Boys don't seem like the type to do something like this. I bet the recording company was behind it all. Expect a public apology soon.
  5. Sounds like a virus to me. But there's no way I can really tell with out being there. If you can give anymore info about what's going on please do. Make sure your antivirus and adaware definitions are up-to-date and pray to the computer gods. Try and hit ctrl-alt-del and see what's running in the task manager, if there's anything odd that could be it.
  6. I smell french fries.
  7. My Dad has worked for Northwest Airlines for 20 some odd years. I'll have him come set you strait. lol
  8. Yeah well you're old. That's to be expected. Just kidding. I used to dislike rap. But there are other artists out there you've never heard of that you could possibly enjoy. You just have to give it a chance. ;) Like the Beastie Boys.
  9. Adding more networks to WinMX would diversify P2P more. People have the options to disable the networks they don't want to use on P2P apps. Options, people like options. Just look at Trillian. And on the badwidth side ISP's are beefing up high speed connections everyday, adding more bandwidth and what not. Connecting to four networks on my Cable connection doesn't slow me down one bit. Yeah 56k users have to suffer, but they deserve it (just kidding lol)... they have the options to disable things they don't need, or don't have to use at that moment. I dunno, I agree in a way with what you said though. But I always like expansion to see what people come up with next. Technology is exciting, and I like to see it expand.
  10. Crazy Dude. That should be your name. You were up when I went to bed and now I'm about to go to bed again and you're still up. ;)
  11. I voted all decades. It's not fare to vote for new artists cause they have more technology available to them, to help them make their music sound better. Every decade had their hits and I listen to them all. I might be a freak of nature being 22 and all and liking all sorts of music but that's the way it should be. People should respect the old music for what it was. Not follow every damn music trend out there. If it sounds good, and has a meaning you understand listen to it. More power to you. That's why I never tell anyone the music they listen to sucks. ;) I always try to find out why they like it to see if I can pick it up too.
  12. haha... well it'll be funny. We do all sorts of fucked up stuff at work. Keeps things fun.
  13. Me too, you might call me new.
